Brought up FireFox, this morning and (1) no bookmarks, and (2) no backup bookmarks.

Running Firefox 3.6.13 for several weeks without any problems until this morning. All bookmarks GONE and no backup files.
Tried to import bookmarks form a previous *html file, nothing comes up. Tried to import bookmarks from IE, nothing, no bookmarks. Removed and Re-installed Firefox still can't load or see any bookmarks.
Run updates to see if that would help. Nothing.
No TOR extension in the extensions.
All bookmarks are gone, Bookmarks toolbar, and all bookmarks
If I try to bookmark a page, nothing happens, page not saved.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

When I try to open it (and this is on a Mac), it does not respond and freezes with a white screen, the tab says "connecting...," and there are no bookmarks or anything showing on the browser. It does not respond at all - I cannot even click into the navigation to change any of the preferences. Please, someone help! Not having Firefox is killing me!

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Opened Firefox this morning and it was like I had just installed it for the first time

What is going on with Firefox. Everything was fine last night. This morning I opened it to check the weather and what opened was a new Firefox asking me if I wanted to make it my default browser. All my bookmarks were there. All the add-ons were there but none of them worked and. I installed Personnas and it worked and then I closed it down. Now I went to open it and it won't open so I'm writing you in Google Chrome. I have loved Firefox but I think it's getting like Internet Explorer. Nothing but problems and doesn't want to work half the time. How very sad.

This may be a problem with preference that aren't saved properly.

In any case, you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

I started my Firefox this morning and my entire history, cookies, and bookmarks have disappeared. I have a lot of stuff saved that was important to me, and it is nowhere to be found.

EDIT: after going to gmail and a couple other sites, my cookies are intact, but the sites are still not in my history.

Opened up Firefox this morning and can't open a single website....have to use Internet Explorer (oh the shame). I tried reinstalling firefox and restarting my computer. Don't know what else to do or why I can't get any internet on Firefox.

Have you read the articles shown in my first message above with the blue clickable links. One of the first things to try is using Firefox in firefox [[safe mode]] which should be available from your program list, BUT when trying that on the first dialogue do not make changes just click on continue.

I have the latest version of firefox and it is running under win 7 pro.
it was working great since I installed it 3 weeks ago and I use it every day.
the error reads:

If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

While playing farmville i cannot open my buildings and such, i could before i got the latest update for firefox this morning

Prior to installing the latest update for Firefox this morning, all was well, but since that time, when I go to Farmville, it won't allow me to open my giftbox, barns, inventory, or bakery. It was fine until then. I tried Internet Explorer, (which I hate that browser with a passion) but it allowed me to do those things. I restarted and rebooted and it didn't help the problem. Is there anyway to undo ONLY the last update to Firefox?

I downloaded version 4 this morning and now Firefox won't open. I use XP. It is going in taskmgr but not opening up.

Having tried this, I was met with a recorded message, in Arabic, and no options to speak to anyone. I have found this process extremely frustrating and poor on your behalf. CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back. So probably won't run on modern operating systems. If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

Updated to Adobe Muse 2014 this morning and have worked in it for the last 8 hours. Now when I try to publish the updated site to Business Catalyst for my client to preview it crashes everytime. I have tried just publishing altered files only, then tried the whole site again, and then tried publishing as a new site altogether. Thought I would then try to export as HTML in the hope of uploading the files via an FTP client and Muse crashes and locks up again. I am extremely stressed about this as I am in the last few days of of website I have been working on now with no issues since December. We are due to go live and my client needs to see it. I am desperate for an answer. It is not looking good. I am on an Apple Mac and have not had any isses publishing it for the last 6 months. Not very happy to say the least. Need desperate help.

Hi Zak, I got onto Adobe Customer Care Live Chat this morning and gave them the error message. After some trouble shooting with them it appears the older archived file of the site still publishes. I have now reverted back to the old file and copied and pasted out of the new file and from some ideas given to me by support I am now able to publish to Business Catalyst. It seems there was something corrupt within the new pages added yesterday. I have no idea if this would have still happened if I hadn't updated but I am glad it wasn't a Muse specific problem. I am loving using Muse and the support from Adobe has been excellent. Thanks everyone. By the way I do love the new version and apart from this hick up that lost me a few hours, aged me some more and gave me grey hair I really love Muse. Thanks again.
