Brown colored desktop / normal start up blue

I'm stuck with a brown desktop and mostly black / grey background and white letters on this screen as I type. I can see everything well enough but colors are not right and Pictures from iPhoto look like photo negatives. Upon restart I get the typical blue colors but once the start up process reaches the desktop stage every thing looks like sh_t. Literally. My 6 year old son may have had something to do with it but he doesnt know what he could have done. What do you think?

Open the Universal Access pane of System Preferences, click on the Seeing tab, turn off White on Black, and drag the Contrast slider all the way to the left.

Here are two ways on windows xp 32 bit:
1. Go to Start>All Programs, find the photoshop cs5 shortcut, right click on the shortcut and click Send To and then click Desktop (create shortcut)
2, Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5, right click on the cs5 Photoshop.exe, click Send To and then click on Desktop (create shortcut)
(you'll probably have to rename the shotrcut to Adobe Photoshop CS5 after the shortcut is put on the desktop if you want it to say cs5)

Qosmio F30 starts with blue stripes during the start screen of Vista

My Qosmio F30-114 runs since years without Problems with Vista Ultimate.
Since some Days there is a huge Problem.
The Qosmio starts with blue stripes during the start screen of vista.
So I deleted the driver of the graphic card and used the standard vga card driver. the hardware assistent found a driver on the system.
For a short moment i was very lucky.
After a restart, there was a blue screen. after the next restard, again the standard vga card driver.
What can i do?
The download section of toshiba has no drivers for graphic card.
And really ... i wonder - how does it works all the years without problems...
Has anyone a solution?

First of all do you have this issue on an external monitor too or only on the internal monitor? Maybe its not a problem of the graphic card so check this with an external monitor.
I have checked the Toshiba website and there I can find some drivers for the Qosmio F30:

HT1926 Itunes will not install on my pc because it says I am in Safe Mode. I restarted my computer and selected normal start up but it still isn't working. Help!

I am trying to install itunes on my pc so I can upgrade my Iphone. I currently have windows vista. When I try to install itunes it says I am operating in safe mode and won't install. I have tried to reboot my computer and selected "normal start up" but it still won't work. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Is that on a 64-bit system?

Safe boot vs normal start up

I used the safe boot feature to fix a glitch but i want to go back to my normal start up. how do i do that?

Just reboot. The shift key is needed for each safe boot. If it is not pressed, you get a normal boot.

But when I purchased this phone form Apple Florida Mall ,I have been told by Zach McKenzie (Sales Person) that it has an international warranty and u can approach to any authorized centre in India for any issues. And that’s the reason I have bought this phone.
But now I am in big trouble so tell me how can u help me in this regards.

My Printer want print in the brown color, after assuring that the Print-heads have been cleaned and after trying several modifications, can pls advise how I can fix this issue.

Running Windows 7 and have repeatedly installed & uninstalled Reader. After installation, Reader overlaps applets. Reader works fine. Can not use desktop or start menus. Then I uninstall Reader. Presently it is not installed.

Zap the PRAM and Reset the SMC, then try again.

You are still under warranty. Call Apple tech support and let them deal w/it.
You have 14 days to return the computer w/no questions asked. Plus you have 90 days of FREE phone tech support on top of your standard 1 year warranty unless you also purchased AppleCare which gives you an additional 2 years of coverage plus FREE phone support.
Strongly suggest that you take FULL advantage of the above before it runs out. Let Apple deal w/the problems.

I had the same issue... mine was memory related... try removing all but 2 of the memory sticks, rebutting and pressing F9 and running the test. If it passes, restart and try to start up. Out of the 4 memory sticks that I have, one of them was bad and was causing the issue you wrote. Hope this helps

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

X61 OS install issue- keeps doing normal start-up

Alright, so ive got my Ubuntu disc in, but the computer does a normal start up, and doesnt start os install.
I went to bios and made "usb-disc" first priority. But still nothing...
what am I doing wrong...?
Thinkpad X61 7675-A48. 2.5 Ghz, 4 GB ram, 160 GB hdd.

Then do it this way:
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks or Yosemite without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks, or Yosemite
OS X Yosemite- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Normal start up then a blank blue/white screen.............????

Apart from the fact that it was freezing before this happened, when I started my ibook up as normal it loaded normally, goes to the white screen with the apple symbol then goes completely blank.
No icons, nothing.
Really gutted about this - is this a connection problem? Any info would be a great help, thankyou

First try restarting with the original install disc an run Disk Utility to repair the drive. If you have to re install the OS make sure you select archive and install or else everything will be lost.
