Browse and Purchase iTMS over EDGE - Download over WiFi

I posted this request on http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
copy and paste it as well.
I would like the ability to browse the iTunes store on the iPhone when on the EDGE network and add them to a "download queue" that downloads only when WiFi access is available or when I am back on my home computer.
To me and many other people, the iTunes store on the iPhone serves as a great way to purchase and download new music on the fly. This is the most useful when I want a new song I hear on the radio or from a friend, etc. But since the iPhone store is only accessible via WiFi, the instant ability to find the song and purchase it is unavailable when I most want to use it. I usually forget the name of the artist or song by the time I get to a wifi network or computer.
This feature I'm requesting would allow me to purchase a song anytime anywhere but would not complicate or slow down downloads because they would not be allowed over EDGE. Thanks!

Nope.

  • I have internet explorer 9 as my browser and i need to also download firefox to access my yahoo business page. will they conflict?

internet explorer 9 is not supported by yahoo. what will happen when I download firefox? and then how do i remove it?

When you install Firefox (you can get the version for your operating system and language [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ here]), watch out for the option to make Firefox your default browser. If you want links in external programs to start in IE, keep IE as your default browser and start Firefox when you want to use it.
If Firefox takes over as default browser and you want to switch it back to IE, check out this article from Microsoft: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/make-ie-default-browser
    P.S. I can't understand why Yahoo wouldn't support IE9. I think that's still a popular version of IE.

  • I ordered two movies on iTunes. I rented one and purchased another. Neither downloaded will o

My movies both rented and purchased from itunes did not download due to lack of memory on my iPad. Will I get charged?

However, if you live in the U.S., many movies can now be downloaded again for free as long as you use the same Apple ID that you bought them with.
If you remove some content on the iPad to make room for the movies - you can download them again in iTunes>Purchased Tab>View>Movies - if they are available and you are in the U.S.

  • Has LR 6 been released, and what will be involved downloading over my current LR5?  Also is upgrade to LR6 free, or is there a fee?

Want to know about upgrading from LR5 to LR6;  procedure, cost (if any), and when will LR6 be available?

Lightroom 6 has been released and is now available to purchase and to download from Adobe. Here is the link:
    Products
Scroll down to Lightroom and click on Buy and choose to upgrade. The upgrade cost is $79. Lightroom 6 will not be installed over Lightroom 5. It will be installed in addition to your older program. When you first start Lightroom 6 it will prompt you to convert your Lightroom 5 catalog. You should do this. Lightroom 6 will create a new copy of your catalog, leaving Lightroom 5 intact so that you can still use it on your computer if you wish to.

  • I recently purchased an older model computer with Microsoft Me from 2000. It doesn't have a web browser and I would like to download Firefox. Where do I find the download compatible with Windows Me and how do I download it?

I have looked in your web site product downloads and I am unable to find a web browser download that is compatible with Windows Me from 2000. What am I missing? Is there a web browser download that is even compatible? It is just a second computer for my grandsons to use and do homework on, but I am unable to get up the internet.

Firefox 2.0.0.20 is the last ever version of Firefox for Win98 / SE / ME.
    Get it from here:

  • Is itunes 10.4.1.10 for real? I just got the update availability notice but it opened my browser and went to the itunes download page. Normally it just opens a small list with what is going to be downloaded (us. safari, quicktime, and itunes) and i am abl

(cont.) e to choose what is going to be downloaded. Im just a little suspicious what with the update coming differently than it usually does.

Check this thread out -> iTunes 10.4 & Multimedia Keyboard
It doesn't look like there is a fix yet, but some people in the thread are pointing to this workaround:

Following some suggestion i seem to have found a solution for the problem and my play/pause, next and previous buttons work with iTunes 10.4.1
    - You need to open a text editor (like notepad) as an administrator.
    - Open the SetPoint players.ini file (C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPointP\players.ini)
    - Edit the line under the [Players] section to match the line bellow (bold is the wndClass which is to be changed)
    iTunes=wac,iTunes.exe,ITWindow,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,0,1,iTunes
    - Save the file
    - Restart the SetPoint and hopefully play/pause, next and previous buttons should work (at least they work for me)

  • Gesture support for browser and official android app supporting

This is my return to blackberry after many years and I'm not sure how I feel about the passport, gesture mode does not work in inquiry on any browser and Google apps can be downloaded but not officially supported.
It's not easy to type with at all and a possible solution is to have a touchscreen keyboard option.

    You cannot.

  • After purchasing and downloaded GarageBand software, It won't work and start over and over to download the software

After purchasing and downloading GarageBand on App Store the software won't start and switch to download over and over the software. It's virtually impossible to reach someone from Apple for support grrrrrrr.... So can someone could kindly give me a clue or solution for this issue?
    Thank!
P.S: Could you please send your reply to:  [email protected]

Have you restarted your computer after installing?
if that does not help, repair the permissions on your system drive using the "First Aid" panel in "Disk Utility" (launch from Application > Utilities)
And if this does not help, reinstall Garageband:
    Quit the AppStore.
Move the GarageBand Application to the Trash, but do not empty the Trash.
Reopen the AppSTore and sign in again with the same account you used to buy GarageBand. Now you should be able to download GarageBand again and to reinstall it.

  • When I download Adobe Reader it takes over my Internet Explorer Browser and other browsers.

When I download Adobe Reader on my Windows 7, it takes over my Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser and any browser I use.  Is there anyway to correct this problem without re-installing Windows 7 on my computer?

  • Downloading app. update over EDGE

For some reason, I recall reading that stuff from the app. store could only be downloaded using WIFI. Last night, just for the heck of it, I went to the app. store and clicked on an update for one of my apps. and after asking for my iTunes password, the update downloaded to my iPhone using EDGE. Is this a common experience? Or was I just misinformed from the beginning?
    Thanks in advance

Here is what apple says on the App info page
    +"Get applications anywhere.+
+The App Store on *iPhone _works over cellular networks_* and Wi-Fi, which means it’s accessible from just about anywhere. Browse categories, do a keyword search, or take a look at recommendations. Then download and install applications directly onto your iPhone. Learn more"+
so nope it works just like they said it would
Any who thanks for bring that up I was wondering about that myself.

  • It was mentioned that LinkedIn is free to download over iPhone but when I'm trying that it's reflecting   GET and asking for payment verification. Please suggest.

It was mentioned that LinkedIn is free to download over iPhone but when I'm trying that it's reflecting + GET and asking for payment verification. Please suggest.
    Please find the attached screenshot.

If it's the first time that you've tried to download anything from the store with the account then depending upon how you created the account then you may have to enter payment details before you will be able to download anything (including free items).
'Get' means that it's a free download, though that app does offer in-app purchases. If you are being asked to confirm/enter your card details then have you tried doing so ? As it's a free-to-download app the card won't be charged, though you may receive a temporary store holding charge.

  • IMovie and iPhoto full download over and over again

I have this strange bug, iMovie and iPhoto will for no reason auto download over and over and over, in the screenshot below you can see I have to identical download of iMovie; when they were downloading I can see they are the same file size 1.94GB.
I have 2 App Store accounts, so I thought maybe App Store got confused and tried to give me 2 copies, some bug like that, but nope, today iMovie almost completely downloaded again, it was over half done when I saw and stopped it. iPhoto too tried to download again as well. They started download when I was doing the iTunes 11.1.3 update, so after I signed into my Apple ID.
Additional info, iMovie and iPhoto is not listed in the Available Updates page, I have cleared it from my Purchased page and don't see them there.
On the screenshot below, please disregard the Error Occured and the Apps folder being stuck with the download bar, those cleared after a reboot, my problem is with repeated mystery download of iMovie and iPhoto. Is there a way to stop this?

Try removing the iMovie and iPhoto apps from your Applications folder.  (You might save them elsewhere, but if it were me, I would simply move them to trash and not empty the trash yet.)
Then hopefully you can find them again under the App Store "Purchased" tab with a "Download" prompt next to them, and/or on the "Updates" tab.

  • A movie i purchased does not show up in  the download after it suddenly stopped while downloading over half way through

a movie i purchased does not show up in  the download after it suddenly stopped while downloading over half way through.. help!

I totally agree, I am not going to discredit your comment as everyone is entitled to their opinion as I am BUT, I will not bad mouth other members, especially since  may have not have written my initial statement in a logical manner so Ill try and answer them in order to your response.
    1. I DO LIKE iTunes in general and on the whole  BUT I dislike the new update, iTunes 11, it has completely buggered everything up.
    2. Prior to the update, everything worked brilliantly, including Apple TV. It was user friendly and was easy to use. The new update is counter-intuative and is hard to find, fix anything and as I have had to find out at my cost, reset my Apple TV and start downloading all over again. So let me reaffirm, it is iTunes11 I find hard to fathom, not the old iTunes.
    3. No I am not a developer but I have been using PC's for over 20 years so I do know how one works.
    4. Good Question about who would help me, again, it is someones opinion against someone elses. One day, I may write something that generally people agree with, another they may not, depends on the subject.
    5. " I do not love Apple" ?yet I have an iPhone 4s, iPad and Apple TV, find that an illogical comment!
    6. I have made a General Search on the forums on the subject and the general consensus is that the new update is one update to far.
    7. Oh, I am not a genius otherwise I would have solved the issue in the first place!
Just to re-iterate, I am not bad mouthing Apple in general, all I am saying is that iTunes 11 is one update to far and I am not the only one saying it.... some have gone a lot further than I have, again, their opinion and who am I to argue with them as I have an opnion as you do and I will most deffinatly not bad mouth a member because I disagree with them for the above reason, debate it, yes, not belittle them.
Hope these have cleared up my initial statement?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
