Can somebody tell me how can I browse the internet on N95 through my laptop which connected to the internet?

Dear All.....Pls help if you can.....I have wi-fi in my campus which is protected by a firewall and proxy server..we have to open [moderator note: address removed] first and then fill our username and password there...then we have to keep that window open and start browsing in other IE window..my problem is ..i can connect to the wi-fi hotspot...but when i open the above address.......no username or password fields are visible......so i can't fill any information.....although i have downloaded opera.....but problem with it is also the same.......but on my laptop which is also wi-fi enabled.....no such problem is there......any suggestions help will be highly appreciated.....

They should dump their convoluted system and make do with WPA-based authentication. After all, if someone has the ESSID and pre-shared key to access the network, why demand a password as well?
As for the proxy, it should control access to the outside by IP address, only allowing IP addresses from within the local network to punch out.
While the "belt and braces" approach to system security and integrity is commendable, it also has to bear in mind that the failing in the less-protected system (a student giving out the WLAN details) is the very same thing that will be the failing of the "overkill" system too. After all, if a student can give out WLAN details, they can also give out a username/password combo for the proxy. It makes no sense to make people jump through so many hoops for no real added security.

HT4061 I did install the OS7 on my Ipad yesterday, and right now, while browsing internet with safari, the screen turned black, and no way to return to normal

During the minutes needed looking for help, I decided to put the magnetic cover on the screen again, and I connected the iPad to the charger. Whe I did uncover the iPad now for a try with your tip (hold sleep and home buttons for about 10 seconds), it came to life again.

Unable to browse internet with wag150n

I recently installed a wag-150n wilress-N ADSL2+ Gateway. I replaces a working 2WIRE router with this one. I ran the setup CD, and it said it completed successfully. I am unable to browse the internet wirless;y or with a wired connection.
If I try and ping a website, say www.google.com, it replies successfully but I cant browse the internet.
Both wired and wirless connections are getting an IP address. I had changed the IP ad DHCP ranges to 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0 , so that the router is at 192.160.0.1. The clients are starting at 192.168.1.100.

If you are able to ping the websites address it means your Gateway is configured for Internet Access...Try to adjust the Browser settings...
Open an IE, click Tools >> Internet Options, then delete all files, cookies, history, forms...Goto "Connections", make sure Never Dial a Connection is checked, click on LAN Settings and make sure all the options are unchecked...Once you are done click on O.k...Close the IE and re-open it...See if you have Internet Access...
Also if you have changed the router's address to 192.168.0.1, your clients should start at 192.168.0.100...

I can't browse Internet with Arora [solved]

Hi.
I installed Arora this night, I really like it now. But I deleted my ~/.config/arora*/, and since this, I can't browse the Internet, but with Firefox it works. I want to use Arora instead of Firefox, does anyone know what I can do ?
I already remove this, re-installed (-Rd, -Rs, -S) but nothing changes..

I've got it !
It's just when AdBlock is activated, I can't go to any websites, even the default page of Arora. I don't understand why, because I use the same filters on my firefox, and it works.

New Nokia PC Suite - connect to internet with N95 ...

I have tried for 4 days to use my N95 as modem (cable or bluetooth) using the latest version of PC Suite and N95 software.
I gave up and went back to version 6.81.13.0 (my CD)and I am back on the internet again.
why is the new version not working?

Mine works with the latest drivers etc, however when I turn on the laptop I always get a new hardware found issue and Vista trys (and fails) to install the bluetooth drivers.
Do you know what speed we can get connecting a Laptop to the internet via the N95 (using Bluetooth)?

Unable to browse Internet with Sol10 GA

I successfully installed Solaris 10 GA on a Dell GX400. I can see other computers on my network, but when I try to access the Internet, I get errors indicating that the browser cannot find the URLs I input (including sun.com). I cannot see any problem in my nsswitch.conf, resolv.conf, or defaultrouter files in /etc.
Any suggestions about what could be the problem?

First, try 'netstat -nr' and check that you really have the correct default route. Then try 'dig www.sun.com' and check that the correct DNS server is being contacted.

Kernel panic browsing internet with Firefox after last update (2.0.0.7)

Three or four days ago I accepted to update my Firefox browser to version 2.0.0.7
I also downloaded the Widget Wizz RSS 2.1.9 Since then I had repeated kernel panics while browsing different websites.
Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

going to a web page that it can't handle. Does it
happen at the same web page? What is the page?
It's happening randomly. When I rebrowse the web page previously crashed, it's fine this time without problems. It's unpredictable. Version 1 has a lot of problems always. I have used iPhone one week in frustration.

I do not really know much about this kind of problem, but i may be your internet connection.
If you are on your own #G network then:
Go to Settings > then enable "Airplane Mode". Count to 10 and then disable it.
Then wait patiently until you get a good connection and then try again.
If you are on a nearby Wi-Fi connection then:
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > then disable then enable after counting to 10. Make sure that you are connected and then try again.
If all else fails, then you need to contact your provider for assistance.

I am having some difficulty accessing the internet with Firefox on one of my PC computers. I normally use Mozilla Firefox as my web browser and google is my homepage and gmail is my email system. The operating system is Windows 7. For over a year this system worked perfectly but a few days ago it stopped working. When I launch Firefox now I get the message that that website (www.google.com) is unavailable. In fact, I can’t access any website and I am blocked from the internet entirely within Firefox. My internet connection is fine because Internet Explorer works fine. I can access google and any other website within that web browser. I have investigated all the security issue I can manage and found no smoking gun. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox to no avail. Is Windows 7 compromising the effectiveness of Firefox? Any suggestions or other assistance you can offer would be appreciated.

You only have to clone your mac when using certain cable modem. You don't clone your mac when using dsl.

It has plenty battery and I was wondering if it is an issue of using too much of the iPhones RAM or not. I have no other apps open besides Messages. I am getting kind of worried as it started around two weeks ago and it has gotten increasingly frequent.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these steps in order until the issue is resolved.

Connected with wifi but unable to browse internet on my iphone 4

Killing Internet Browser opened with Runtime.exec

I am running Win NT 4.0 and I am successfully opening my HTML help using the following code:
String command = new String("cmd /K ");
command = command.concat("G:\editor\help\index.html");
Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command);
However, if I run p.destroy(), the browser window does not close. This means that the help remains open after the program exits and also that multiple help windows can be opened.
Does anyone know how to kill a browser opened with Runtime.exec()?

I tried System.exit(0) and Runtime.getRuntime().exit(0) and neither succeeded in closing the internet browser process. I suspect that process.destroy() and runtime.exit(0) both are killing the instance of the command interpreter spawned by runtime.exec("cmd /K URL") and not actually the browser opened by that command. Therefore, I think that the process refers to the "cmd" and not the browser, which probably opens completely independently of my Java program, thus can't be closed by it.
Unforetunately, I don't know another way to open a browser.
If anyone has any additional suggestions, I would appreciate it. Many people in the forums seem to have asked this one, and there are no solutions I could find.
