Browse itunes audiobooks by length

I have six hours of driving to do and would like to view/browse audio books that are 5 hours in length or so. Is there an advanced search in the itunes store that I am not finding? It seems like it should be possible to sort say bestsellers by length and if its not possible it needs to be.

While browsing iTunes Audiobooks I came across selections dealing with incest/paedophilia/****. Why are these there in an unfiltered site?

I purchased a nice AppleTV october 2010. since then I have seen tons of content disappear. The content is absolutely dismal. Where have the podcasts gone?? MSNBC is leaving, and more and more... why did Apple mislead it's followers with promises of expanding content when in fact it is disappearing. One or two movies (crappy ones at that) a month added is not right.
the shows are unwatchable, no classics, just low junk.

I have already made the decision to never purchase another itunes music item ever again due to extreme low quality bit rates (lofi) and their policy of not letting you re download if you lose your machine, HD failure etc.. they are getting pretty bad at content and charging premium. I now purchase cd's on line for 2-3 dollars and burn 600-800 kbps. so i can actually hear the msuic when i play it through my real speakers.. difference is stunning.. BAD APPLE!

I recently browsed iTunes UK and now can't get back to iTunes US version. I restarted my Mac and whenever I open iTunes store it is the UK version. I can't open an account there because it won't let me use by email address twice.

And, this password changing is madness. Everytime I sign in iTunes doesn't recognize my password and so I have to get a new one even though I've answered the useless security questions. Has anyone solved this problem before?

Funny how this seems to be one of the most-asked questions on the Internet. In most cases, no answer is ever checked as "Correct," either. Most answers, as on this page, say to click the flag at the bottom right-hand corner of any store page. The problem? There's only one flag!!! And it's the one of the country we don't want to be in!!!
Just in case this helps someone: what worked for me was to sign in. It then told me my id was not valid for this country, and switched me back to the US. How I was ever able to buy something from the UK store in the first place is beyond me.
By the way, Apple, experiences like this, and many, many other horrible ones with iTunes, is why those of us who do not live in the Apple world continue to stick to their Microsoft PCs.

Changing a aritist name in "Quick Browse itunes library"

I've moved a music folder from my old itunes (6.1 ver OSX 10. 2.8) into my new computer (OSX 10.4.8) itunes music folder. One of music folder has different artists but the folder is named Compliation. I CAN NOT get the name of the artist to show up in the Quick Browse itune Library ( "eye icon" on the bottom of itunes) . I can change the name of the artist just fine and it show up under the artist list in normal view, but not in the " Quick Browse in the iturnes library ,(eye i con) . I tried to rename the folder with the artist but that doesnt change the artist name in the Quick Browse ? it still shows up as Compliation. Is the music already encrypted? or what. Only only thing I didnt do is to durn a cd with the artist name and re imported. Seem alot of trouble to change a name.

Those songs have 'part of compilation' turned on, and you have 'group compilations when browsing' turned on in your preferences. Either turn that preference off, or select the songs, choose Get Info from the File menu and change the setting so they are not part of a compilation.

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store, so if it didn't download properly then you will need to contact iTunes Support, which you can either do via the 'report a problem' page : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

It should be installed automatically if you install iTunes, but I guess when you installed iTunes you didn't have Firefox. Just reinstall iTunes and it should work OK (your iTunes library will not be affected)

ITunes audiobook downloaded but missing from Music app

I purchased and downloaded an audiobook from iTunes but it does not show up in the Audiobooks section of the Music app.
It shows up on the device when I enter the title in the iOS7 Search bar (so it definitely downloaded).
It will play when I tap on the Search hit (so it downloaded successfully).
When I tap the "back" button while it's playing I get to the "Audobooks" page in the Music app: but the book isn't shown in the list of available titles!
So it's on my device but can only be accessed via Search.
I've force-quit the Music app.
I've hard-rebooted by iPhone 5.
I haven't synched to my Mac in 2 years (not even sure my Mac iTunes is up to date)

The exact same thing happened to me - I downloaded an Audiobook and it entered a black hole. This is ridiculous! I even tried pluggin it into my iMac and transferring purchases to my computer and then syncing it again that way and it did not fix the problem. It seems though that other audiobooks that I did purchase on my Mac and then transferred to my iPhone worked fine, but I'd rather not have to plug it in to my Mac.

Brining cd from iTunes audiobook download

When I go to burn the audio book I bought on iTunes store
I click "Burn Disc" it then prompts me to load a blank disk I do but it does nothing just keeps telling me to load a blank disk and does not begin burning.
Apple needs better support including on phone like Audible audio and others.

I'm having the exact same problem- on the road, we wanted to download and listen to an audiobook. everything seemed ok- the charge even shows up on my credit card bill online- it just won't get past 'processing.' other forums for this problem have suggested resetting the iPhone, which I've tried, with no success. Audiobooks from CD not appearing in "iTunes Audiobook Library"

I have the iTunes 7, I recently bought some audio books that were on CD & uploaded them to iTunes, they only appear in the Music Library in iTunes. I would like to have them only appear in the Audiobook Library in iTunes & in the Audiobook section in my ipod. Is there a way I can do this?
Note: I've already tried some suggestion from the web such as renaming the file extension from .m4a to m4b, removing the old tags then re adding them back to iTunes with no success.

I am having the same problem. It also exists with videos. Some video pieces that I create appear under "Movies" and the rest are scattered in my music library. All have a m4v extension. Weird!

APEX 2.2 - File Browse item maximum file length?

Hi all,
There seems to be a maximum length for file name (not path - just the name) that can go into APEX through the File Browse item. I have a file name that is 206 characters long. Even if I put the file in the root directory, when I try to upload it to my APEX application, I get a 404.
What is the maximum file name length?
Not relatedly, IE6 balks when the file path length exceeds a certain amount. It doesn't attach the file to the file input HTML element. Does anyone happen to know what that length is?

ITunes cutting off length of podcast episodes

Help! I am having an issue where two of my iTunes podcast episodes are being cut off and ending prematurely - about half way through. I've spent half the day trying to trouble shoot this without any luck.
I am editing the files correctly in Garageband, uploading them correctly, etc. They appear fine on my website and when I download them.

On my site, they are fine, but when you go to my iTunes page (itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-openworld-podcast/id896941830) and try to view them in iTunes the length of episode 21 is only 24 mins and episode 22 is 37 mins.
I am hosting the podcasts on my WordPress website and using the Blubrry plugin. Can anyone give me a hint as to what is wrong? I have tried a bunch of things, I've reuploaded new files, changed meta information, and nothing is working.

Well finaly broke down and gave rebuilding from the XML file a try. That's solving a problem with a sledghamer.
So yes my songs now end up in the right length, but:
It duplicated a huge part of my exsisting library, and maybe moved parts of it or maybe deleted files*. No idea which. Original itunes library was 620+ gigs and now I have two itunes librarys each 430+- gigs. Look forward to figuring that out!
It turned a massive number of my Podcasts into songs. So that will be fun to disentangle.
iPod and iPhone preferences don't copy, so I have to rebuild all my phone sync settings.
So basically, a really crappy fix unless you have a small library and don't use podcasts.
Better solution needed Apple!!!!!
*I was one of the lucky bastards who had iTunes delete hundreds of gigs of podcasts on r11. So I have no faith in it not doing it again.

Artist names missing in browse, iTunes for Windows 7.1.1

Certain artist names are missing from the browse window. The songs are there in the library, but the artist's name is not displayed. Some are copied off my CDs, others purchased. I looked at the xml file, and could not see any obvious difference between songs where the artist is displayed and ones where it is not. Has anyone else had this problem? It there a way to fix it? I've had this problem since 7.0 or 7.1

In Itunes, highlight and right click on the 1st song by the artist. Then go to 'Get Info'. uncheck the 'part of a compilation' box. Then simply click on the 'next' box, and apply the uncheck change to each song by the artist. Then re-sync your Ipod, and the artist name will magically appear in your browse section!
