Browser default display properties.

In an effort to establish some uniformity of appearance
between different browsers I have realised that I need to use css
to define the properties of at least some elements, in particular
cells and tables.
I thought it would be an idea to use the default properties
of IE as a baseline on my css file, and then choose to vary
elements as I wished for different websites.
Where can I find the IE default display properties
listed?

I don't think you can. Which specific properties are you
interested in?

  • Display Properties (Qosmio G10)

    Hi,
Basically, I tried to show my parents on their TV photos from uni(Qosmio G10 - WIn MCE 2005). And it worked! Then, because I thought the resolution was too fine, I decided to tinker about with the settings in Display Properties as well as the GeForce FX Go5700 utility to change it and got carried away changing settings. After I pressed some button or another, the image on the TV vanished. I can't seem to get it back.
Anyway to reset or default Display Properties and/ or the GeForce utility - at least this will aloow me to continue to use my laptop for other presentation needs esp. at uni.
    Thanks a lot,
    WB

Yes, while the Qomsio is running, press Fn + F5 until you get a picture back on its internal screen.
    Later,

    We're running OC4J 10.1.3.2 on JDK 1.5.0_06

  • "Message from Webpage (error) There was an error in the browser while setting properties into the page HTML, possibly due to invalid URLs or other values. Please try again or use different property values."

I created a site column at the root of my site and I have publishing turned on.  I selected the Hyperlink with formatting and constraints for publishing.
I went to my subsite and added the column.  The request was to have "Open in new tab" for their hyperlinks.  I was able to get the column to be added and yesterday we added items without a problem.
The problem arose when, today, a user told me that he could not edit the hyperlink.  He has modify / delete permissions on this list.
He would edit the item, in a custom list, and click on the address "click to add a new hyperlink" and then he would get the error below after succesfully putting in the Selected URL (http://www.xxxxxx.com), Open
Link in New Window checkbox, the Display Text, and Tooltip:

Again, if I update my SharePoint 2010 farm to April 2014 CU is this going to resolve the issue I have?
I don't mind changing the JS file, however I'd like to know / see if there is anything official regarding this instead of my having to change files.
    Thank you!
    Matt

We had the same issue after applying the SP2 & August CU. we open the case with MSFT and get the same resolution as you mentioned.
I blog about this issue and having the office reference.
Later MSFT release the Hotfix for this on December 10, 2013 which i am 100% positive should be part of future CUs.
So if you apply the April CU then you will be fine.
Please remember to mark your question as answered &Vote helpful,if this solves/helps your problem. ****************************************************************************************** Thanks -WS MCITP(SharePoint 2010, 2013) Blog: http://wscheema.com/blog

  • Displayed Properties in Collection List Renderer are not displayed

    Hello All,
I have created one custom property and entered the value for a resource which had that property.
Now, when I am trying to display the custom property in any layout, its not coming, even though I have added the property name in the Displayed Property of the collection list renderer.
To check the view is taking the correct layout or not, i changed some other settings of the collection list renderer and the changes are immediately getting reflected. What could be the problem here?
    Any help, deeply appreciated
    Regards
    BP

    Hello Bobu,
Are you using a different Namespace Alias other than 'Default' in your property definition? If so then you need to specify the property in the 'Displayed Properties' parameter of the collection renderer as <NamespaceAlias>:<propetrty ID>, e.g. rnd:displayname.
Other than that you should check the 'Folder Validity Patterns' and 'Document Validity Patterns' to make sure they are valid for the content on which you are trying to display this property, you may have already checked this.
    Regards,
    Lorcan.

  • How to set PDF file default display size through Report Writter 6i

Anyone could help me, how to setup default display (magnification i.e 100% or 80%) for a pdf file generated by report writter 6i.
    Thanks
    Raj

    hi,
regarding report, there is a dedicated report forum. you should post there.
but answer for your question is form is nothing to do with the pdf generation. you can call the report from the as usual.
In the report you should set the properties like
    destype to 'file'
desname to 'path with file name'
    desformat to 'pdf'

  • Missing Display Properties

    Hi,
Not sure how but all the tabs, except background, are missing on my Display Properties in XP Pro. I've checked in regedit and all have 0 as Value Data and I am logged on as Administrator and not on a network. The strange thing is they are all showing perfectly when I boot in SAFE mode - any ideas greatly appreciated.

    Spyghost,
Set your desktop resolution to 16Bit and remove any files you have on your desktop.
No need for you to keep rendoring your desktop in the background while playing a game.
Then in the settings I would do these tweaks:
    Performance & Quality Settings
    Performance - Aggressive
    Antiailiacing - Off
    Anisotropic Filters - Off
    Direct3D Settings
Enable Fog Table Emulation - On
Mipmap Detail Level - Best Performance
    More Direct3D
Vertical Sync Mode - Always Off
Render no more than - 5 Frames Ahead
    OpenGL Settings
Default Color Depth - Use Desktop Color Depth
    Buffer-Flipping Mode - Auto-Select
Vertical Sync - Off by Default
As for the overclocking section, you can use it at your own risk. For now run without overclocking.
    Take Care,
    Richard

  • System-config-display, gnome-display-properties - inconsistent R5 U5 64bit

    Hi all,
I have OEL Rel 5 U5 (64-bit) installed and running on an IBM x3200 which has Radeon integrated graphics, with a IBM ThinkVision LCD monitor (1280x1024 max)
Problem I have is eventhough system-config-display lets me select 1280x1024 I can't actually get it to switch. Upon log-off/log-in, reboot, restart, etc... it still returns to 1024x768 mode.
    Running gnome-display-properties only gives me a choice of 1024x768, 800x600, or 640x480.
I've also tried xrandr and trying to force it to 1280x1024 but it tells me I only have the 3 choices given by gnome-display-properties.
My xorg.conf file is configured with 1280x1024, 1024x768, and 800x600 modes, so I'm baffled at where gnome-display-properties and xrandr are getting their mode choices...
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Based on Xorg log I'm guessing the monitor driver just will not support the higher res and apparently that's where 'gnome-display-properties' gets its info regardless of what I try in Xorg.conf.
I'll see if I can manipulate the monitor settings and see where that gets me...
I see the following in the log:

  • NS 9 and Text Display Properties (AFC)

Text Display Properties not working in newScale 9
Has anyone tested the newScale 9 in dev yet? We have an issue where the display properties of a text field is not taking effect when configuring the column length. It will just remain the default length no matter what the value is set at. We have exported the service from nS 9 back to 2008.3 and the text display changes work as expected. Is there a work around for this or is this a known bug?

    Hi Craig,
Good news -- there is a hotfix for this already available. If you are going to be installing SP1 for newScale 9, the hotfix is included in the service pack. If you are not planning to install SP1, please contact customer care and ask them for 2009.1_HotFix_FormDataTypeTransform.

  • Setting preferences for hyperlink display properties

I want all new hyperlinks created by InDesign and InCopy users at my site to have a certain set of properties. I want them to be sort of orange, with a thin dotted line around them. This is not so that they can be exported to pdf with buttons, but just so that we can preserve links in text for a print paper which is later going to be exported to the web, and I have a script that expands them into html at that point.
But I can't seem to find any preference that I can set that will allow me to set default display options for all hyperlinks newly created by users.  Hyperlinks used to show up automatically as black rectangles for us, and now they show up invisible. So because I have personally witnessed some change in the default behavior, I feel sure there must be a preference I can set somewhere. But it's possible that was just the switchover from standard behavior in CS4 to standard behavior in CS5.
    Any ideas?

Sorry but no. There are no viewing preferences for the iTunes Store.

  • Original display properties on g7 laptop

Can anyone tell me the original display properties on g7 laptop? My gamma, contrast, and brightness are all off. The icons are very washed out and hard to see. I've tried adjusting them, but can't quite get them right. Any help would be great. Thanks.

    Hello r2dw,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More. I have read your post on how you are looking to restore the original display properties on your g7 laptop, and I would be happy to assist you! To begin, I will need to ask you a few questions:
What is the Product and Model Number of your notebook computer?
What version of Windows do you have installed on your computer?
Has your computer completed all of its important Windows Updates?
Have you updated your HP drivers using the HP Support Assistant?
Is this an on-going, or recent issue?
In the meantime, I recommend removing and reinstalling the graphics driver for your notebook. This can be done by going into Programs and Features to remove the graphics driver for your computer. To re-install it, please follow this document on Downloading or Updating Software and Drivers for HP Computers. This should help you find the HP drivers for your graphics card. Upon re-installation, your display should be reset back to default properties.
If the issue persists, I also suggest following this document on How to perform a clean boot in Windows. This should help determine if your display will appear on default settings with minimal drivers and background programs.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, as well as the requested information above. I look forward to your reply!

  • Can I use the default "signature properties dialog" in DigSig layer?

    Hello
I am writing a plug-in about digital signature with the DigSig Layer. I need a  "signature properties dialog" to display info after I verified the signature.
    Now my questions :
Can I use the default "signature properties dialog" in DigSig layer, just like PubSec's default "signature properties dialog" ?
If I want to implement my  own "signature properties dialog", what should I do ?
    thanks.

    Thank you so much~
Actually, it's only an applet for test. I cannot get the error code if I new the KeyPair in install function or Applet construct function. It will return "6A 80" when install the applet.
And, I found that it support few algorithm. For example, it does not support ALG_DES_MAC4_ISO9797_M2,etc. Is there anything I can do if I want to use the algorithm? Shall I rewrite security package by myself?
5555, security package is the standard package in JAVACARD API 2.1.1.

  • CP5 - Default display times for Text Captions

    Hi there,
I'm using Captivate 5.0.1 and trying to figure out how to do something that was in Captivate 4. In CP 4, I could edit the Preferences and set a default display time for new text captions. By default it is set to 3 seconds for all new text captions, but you could change it. In CP 5 the default is set to 3, does anyone know how to change it?
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hello,
It is exactly in the same place as in Captivate 4: Preferences, Global, Defaults. See screenshot. Or perhaps I do not understand your question well? If you are looking for Apply to all, you have to go in the Properties, but I did not understand that this was your question.

    Hi Hungh,
If your are using BPC 10 with EPM add in client, you can use the function:
    EPMDimensionProperty ()
This function retrieves the properties of a specified dimension in a specified cell range.
    Thanks, Safa
