Browser freezing up when clicking Monitor - Access Points

Is there anyone else having problems with the browser freezing up when (in Classical Mode) clicking Monitor -> Access Points? Clicking Configure -> Access Points works as it should. Sometimes the browser unfreezes after a while but no output is displayed on the page.
We're running Cisco Prime Infrastructure version 1.3 (in HA-mode if that makes a difference but the problem exists even after failing over).
I've tried Chrome, IE9 and Firefox 19.0.2 and the problem exists in all of them.

I know that my version of Firefox isn't supported but according to the list of supported browsers these are ok:
IE: 8 and 9
Firefox: 10 - 14 (everything else works in 19)
Chrome
Since two of the browsers I used to test are supported it doesn't feel like a browser-problem
I have opened a case with our supplyer who hopefully will open a TAC-case if they don't find anything by themselves. However, I thought that it might be a good idea to check if it was a known problem where the fix would show up in the next version

  • License for Monitor Access Point

    Dear Friends,
I have a 5508 controller with 200 access points . I have additional 10 access points to be used as Monitor Mode, as this will be connected to the MSSE. Question here is does the monitor access points requires licenses to configure on the controller or does IPS license of 25 AP's is enough for MSE.
I think for these 10 Monitor Access Points, we need to have licenses for the controller as well as MSE license for the access point. Am I right in this assumption?
    BR,
    Sid

    Hi Sid,
the license on the WLC is for "joined APs" whatever is their role. So monitor mode APs count the same as other APs.

  • "Exception Processing Message" error when clicking the Accessing Server Data link on the start page

When I first started the application, I click the Accessing Server Data link on the start page.  I immediately got the error "Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 75b6bf7c in a dialog box titled "Windows - No Disk".  I had to used Task Manager to remove the box after closing Flash Builder 4.  I then tried the video tutorial on "PHP Services in Flash Builder 4".  I keep receiving an error during service introspection trying to connect to the PHP class.  It was the same error as the other individual "Cannot Connect to PHP Service".  So I tried another tutorial and generated a sample PHP class.  I moved a datagrid on to the stage, droped in the getAllItems function, and configured the return type.  However, when I ran the app, I received the same error "Exception Processing Message" again.  I have attached the screenshot of the error in addition to my phpinfo and log files.

"The exception process message" is definitely a issue. Is it happening consistently, if so can you file a bug at bugs.adobe.com/flex and give out your machine config details, and the error log.
With regards to generating a new php file and the introspection error that you are getting, looking at the logs it probably is two fold.
First off the name of the file and the class name should be the same, are you having employeeServices as the name of the class in employeeServices.php file.
Second, It seems prior to generating this new file, you had a syntax error at line 5.
It would be easier to figure out what the error is, if you can also attach the php file, by removing any sensitive information in that.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • No AirPlay when connected through access point

I have my wireless setup with a main router in one room and another router (a DIR615) in another room setup as an access point.
I have an Apple TV 2. gen which is hooked up by ethernet.
Everytime Im connected wirelessly through the main router, AirPlay works fine, by when Im connected through the DIR615 (the access point), theres no AirPlay.
When Im on the access point everything else seem to work fine - only thing thats missing is AirPlay. Oh and Remote has the same issue.
The DIR615 has an option called "Use as access point" which I turned on. Then I set it to broadcast the same SSID as the main router with the same password. Is that wrong set up?
I can access my other device like my NAS with no problems through both the main router and the access point.

I have noticed a similar issue.
Years ago, I extended my original wired network with an Airport Express (AE) acting as a bridged access point. When I got my iPod Touch, I noticed that the AE would go out to lunch occasionally if the WiFi on the Touch was on. But when the AE was functioning correctly, I could do AirPlay from the Touch to the AE.
With the addition of an iPhone and another Touch in the house, the AE was becoming more flaky, so I bought an access point product from Trendnet. This device bridges another wireless network to the same IP subnet (192.168.1.0/24) as the wired and AE wireless network, but it is a different wireless network (SSID) from the AE wireless.  This allows me to configure the handheld devices to only connect to the Trendnet. Now the AE no longer crashes. (Pretty ironic that I need to buy a non-Apple device to get it to work...).
However, I do not get the AirPlay icon when a handheld is connected to the Trendnet network.  I just tried connecting one of the Touches to the AE wireless and when I do, voila, I do get the AirPlay icon.
Theoretically, the path taken to the AE from the handheld shouldn't matter, but it looks like Apple engineered it so that it does. Maybe AirPlay doesn't run over IP??  It is disappointing and I hope it gets fixed.

  • Have just found a hickup on the Lion software 10.7.2 When using a access point that you name with letters that is only in Norwegian æøå you will loose connections and only get time out. So the solution will be to rename the access point.

Any solution beside to rename the wifi access point without the spesial Norwegian letters æøå?

Your points match mine pretty well, though here are some thoughts:
    1. I thought about this theory myself this morning (iTunes possibly causing more issues), but I haven't been able to verify it.
    2. When I set up a new user it seemed better for a while, but the issue croppped back up. Yesterday I fully wiped the machine and reinstalled from scratch. I did not reimport my user from TimeMachine, but the problem has come back. My thinking was that I might have some really old software or prefs hanging around causing the issue. No dice.
    3. This is my current theory of the issue, so my next step will be to pull the RAM from Crucial and see how the system behves. IF that doesn't eliminate the problem, I'll pull the factory installed RAM and replace it with the 3rd party RAM. The odd thing is how many people seem to have similar issues - I know two personally, and have seen several posts on forums. I think the most common point for this happening was the 10.7.2 update, which would point to software as the culprit.
    4. That matches my experience.
My hope is that this will be repaired in the forthcoming 10.7.3 release (current production version is 10.7.2), but otuside of what I noted above, I'm at a loss.

  • WCS Error when clicking on Access List

When I log into the WCS and under Security open up Access List and then click on one of the Access List to edit it I get the error message Attached.  And this is also causing an Audit mismatch too.  Any ideas?

Is your WCS version equal to or higher than the wlc? Make sure all the services are running fine, but I get errors when te command fails due to the fact that something else has to be disabled or removed first.

  • Freeze up when clicking on a command in the toolbar in Illustrator, same happening in InDesign

    Hi,
For the last couple of days as I'm working in Illustrator or InDesign CS3 the program freezes when I try to place a file or click on any command in the toolbar.  For example, I click on File>Place, and the screen grays out and I'm unable to click on anything.  I have to close the program via Task Manager and restart my computer.
I have Windows XP and Adobe Creative Suite CS3.
Please help - I'm unable to get any work done!!
    Thanks

While you believe the offending dialog to be active, hit Alt+Spacebar. Select Move from the menu, then use the arrow keys to bring the dialog box back into view. The new position should be remembered the next time around.
Reinstalling the software might not fix the problem, believe it or not, unless the pertinent registry entries get wiped clean.

  • Firefox freezes unexpectedly when clicking links, other tabs or opening files

Running the latest stable version of Firefox, however, it has been freezing repeatedly almost every time I click a link or go to another tab since the previous stable version, which I thought the new release would fix.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Bookmarks+not+saved#w_fix-the-bookmarks-file
You can also try to repair the places database with this extension:
It is also possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

  • IPhoto '08 (7.1)  Freezes when Clicking "Music" Icon for Slideshow

When I try to add music to a slideshow, iPhoto freezes up when clicking the Music icon. How to make it work again (it worked fine before the upgrade).

    Monique:
It actually not frozen, just as slow as molassas on an iceberg. It's a result of this last update, iLife Support 8.1. It may take up to 30 seconds but the slideshow pane will eventually open and you can set your options.
Be sure to report this at http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html. The more reports on this subject the more likely they will get a fix out quickly.
A similar slowness is in accessing the preferences in iPhoto for many.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Access Point Modes

    Dear Folks,
As I have noticed multiple modes in a LWAPP, which is Monitor , Access Point, Sniffer etc. Could you please provide what all functions does it provide than an Access Point?
    Regards,
    Siddarth

    Hi Siddarth,
    Q. What are the different modes in which a lightweight access point (LAP) can operate?
    A. An LAP can operate in any of these modes:
Local mode-This is the default mode of operation. When an LAP is placed into local mode, the AP spends 60 milliseconds on channels that it does not operate on every 180 seconds. During this time, the AP performs noise floor measurements, measures interference, and scans for IDS events.
REAP mode-REAP mode enables an LAP to reside across a WAN link and still be able to communicate with the WLC and provide the functionality of a regular LAP. Currently, REAP mode is supported only on the 1030 LAPs. This functionality is included on a broader range of LAPs in the future.
Monitor mode-Monitor mode is a feature designed to allow specified LWAPP-enabled APs to exclude themselves from handling data traffic between clients and the infrastructure. They instead act as dedicated sensors for location based services (LBS), rogue access point detection, and intrusion detection (IDS). When APs are in Monitor mode they cannot serve clients and continuously cycle through all configured channels listening to each channel for approximately 60 ms.
Note: From the controller release 5.0, LWAPPs can also be configured in Location Optimized Monitor Mode (LOMM), which optimizes the monitoring and location calculation of RFID tags. For more information on this mode, refer to Cisco Unified Wireless Network Software Release 5.0.
Note: With controller release 5.2, the Location Optimized Monitor Mode (LOMM) section has been renamed Tracking Optimization, and the LOMM Enabled drop-down box has been renamed Enable Tracking Optimization.
Note: For more information on how to configure Tracking Optimization, read the Optimizing RFID Tracking on Access Points section.
Rogue detector mode-LAPs that operate in Rogue Detector mode monitor the rogue APs. They do not transmit or contain rogue APs. The idea is that the rogue detector should be able to see all the VLANs in the network since rogue APs can be connected to any of the VLANs in the network (thus we connect it to a trunk port). The switch sends all the rogue AP/Client MAC address lists to the Rogue Detector (RD). The RD then forwards those up to the WLC in order to compare with the MACs of clients that the WLC APs have heard over the air. If MACs match, then the WLC knows the rogue AP to which those clients are connected is on the wired network.
Sniffer mode-An LWAPP that operates in Sniffer mode functions as a sniffer and captures and forwards all the packets on a particular channel to a remote machine that runs Airopeek. These packets contain information on timestamp, signal strength, packet size and so on. The Sniffer feature can be enabled only if you run Airopeek, which is a third-party network analyzer software that supports decoding of data packets.

  • Access points lost and can't recreate them after E...

I foolishly took the latest upgrade to the E90 soft/firmware via the Nokia software updater.  Previously I was connecting to the internet & downloading e-mails into my mailbox via GPRS from my phone provider (Swisscom).
Following the upgrade, as well as some lesser problems (one application disappeared, calendar entries failed to restore from the backup to my PC) I found there are no access points at all.  I get "No Access Points Defined - Define One Using Connection Settings" when I open the browser.  In Tools/Settings/Connection/Access Points I get "No access points defined.  Define now?" and a screen with some connection settings that I can't complete.
I still have the Configuration Messages sent by Swisscom when I first put the PIN in the phone (it was bought PIN-free) that saved access point settings for GPRS and MMS.  If I try to re-save these settings I get "Settings already saved.  Save again anyway?" and on selecting "Yes", "Unable to save all settings.  2 settings saved" - all of which suggests that there are still access points in existence but I can't overwrite them.
The settings wizard is no good as it just seems to look at e-mail settings, which I don't think have changed.  I've looked on the Swisscom web site but not found anything helpful.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Update to my previous post: I just found that the solution was to restore factory settings (under Tools/Settings for the E90).  This has restored all of the old access points, and I was also able to re-save those from my phone provider so I have access to the internet & e-mails.
What confounded me slightly was that (contrary to several other posts I've seen on this forum) the software upgrade changed my Lock Code (which you need to restore Factory Settings) back to the old value of 12345 - I had changed this to another code.  After waiting the necessary 5 minutes I used the old code & it worked.
In general I agree - a lot of pain and aggravation for very little advantage in taking this upgrade, so I'd say DON'T.

  • Packet Data Access Point Names vs real data server...

I am trying to activate an application that requires GPRS.
I currently can get EGPRS and assume that will do the same but faster. But I have a question that may not pertain to this but as I am new at this I will ask it here. From reading I see that the settings of packet data appear to have more to do with setting up phone as a modem to use. So I don't know truly if this has any bearing on my problem with the software registering to complete the setup of it.
However my web access which is unlimited month to month internet access which allows me to go anywhere on web (not a walled garden) also uses this GPRS or EDGE version of GPRS. I am in the USA with T-Mobile. Phone is set to use GSM. The screen where it concerns connectivity says that I have Access Points which were configured by T-Mobile sms file they sent me twice. I actually have 5 names under Access Points.
    1)MMS = wap.voicestream.com
    2)T-Mo WEB = Internet.voicestream2.com with small i in settings
    3)T-Mo WEB(01) - this from 2nd sms copy same
4)T-Mobile Internet = Internet.voicestream2.com with small i in settings too.
5)t-zones this is their wall garden = wap.voicestream.com
ok since I can browse the web anywhere and download the application I don't know why I cannot register it. But it states it needs an internet connection before activation through authentication, or basically registering it to use.
So I am trying to do this after verifying that I have an internet connection with the too connection arrows symbols on phone screen showing internet connectivity with E over them currently by starting a browser first as the application doesn't seem to do this for me when trying to activate it.
    E
--> where the lines are solid. Ok here is my issue here.
The arrows are not coming up correctly in this forum anyway I get what shows I have EGPRS connectivity, I don't know if the application is sensitive to using GPRS only but will find out. I doubt it. The GPRS would show the arrows with an antennae above. I am talking about the indicators from what the pdf and book say.
Below Access Points on the menu in settings for connection is Packet data.
    Packet data has to variables
    1) when needed , or when available
    2) Access point
Access point is blank. Should I enter one of T-Mobiles names in the list above this under Access Points such as
T-Mobile Internet or should I put the server name in specifically internet2.voicestream.com?
I set the Data Call setting to Unlimited to make sure if its using this process it doesn't turn off after the 5 minute default on the next setting.
Any ideas why this gprs app is not activating itself and making the gprs internet connection with the pin I was provided? I had to use the pin just to download it and install it.

that will work. You only need to change if you need to have always on (highly unlikley) or if you are using modem dial up and need to specify access point for that.
If you using Nokia One Touch access then you don't even need to define access point in this menu as that application will take care of it for you.
All other network aware applications will use access point settings as defined in settings menu.

  • E71: default access point

New E71 user here. Recently got Nokia's email app (Big @ icon in Installations) and it's nice. I have it set-up to use my router as an access point when in and around my home (router: airport) but when I go out of range of the router the access point switches to 'default'.
Is there anyway to tell it what default should be? I'd like it to be 't-mobile internet'.
I know this may be an old issue, but not sure if it has been resolved.
    Best regards,
    Craig

Sorry to ressurrect an old thread, but this has been driving me crazy and I have found the easiest solution and thought it belonged on the Nokia forums (especially seeing as it is the top hit in google search).
You can select your access point at any time by going to "web" (it should be in your menu for web browsing). Press Options->Settings->General->Access point. Here you can do 2 things:
    1) Choose between "User defined" and "always ask"
    2) By choosing user defined, you have the option to select any access point from your list to be the default
This will be for all apps that want to use your e71 to connect through access points. I have no idea why this option is nowhere to be found in the access point settings, but the option does exist

  • K8N Neo2 Plat : how to switch the provided PCI Wifi card to access point mode ?

in digicell, I can't click on "access point mode"...
do some people have succeeded in turing the neo2 plat 54g into an access point ? If yes, how ?
    thks

I also have downloaded the latest driver from the manufacturer of that wifi special card (code 2500 something if I remember well)
have you found any way to configure it to access point mode, else than with DigiCell ?
I think I will reinstall DigiCell one more time and reinstall it, I'm almost sure the problem is in it ;-)
I already has problems seeing my Acrobat Suite and tells me I don't have the Reader, it already opens IE in stead of the default browser [but it's supposed to be that way, according toi MSI], and it didn't detect CoreCenter I ghad installed previously, until I reinstalled CoreCenter over itself ;-)
    What a nice tool :D
