Browser has a downloaded file without permission

Greetings,
During the usage of Firefox browser, suddenly i found downloaded file in the profile folder, but this is always happen each time i delete the file it comes back again, Fortunately i have a Norton Internet Security with the Download File Insight feature i could discover that file and followed the cache folder of Firefox Browser and it is not a virus,
Now these issue was happened after i have installed a program named virtual router on Windows VISTA,
After rename the file in cache folder to .exe extension it shows the setup file mentioned the wireless icon, by running it it shows the normal setup of Winhostspot,
What shall i do to stop this downloading file without permission?
Do i have to uninstall the virtual router software?
I'm sure that i have no virus cause the Norton Internet Security is up to-date with all running its security features: Virus definition and Firewall ... etc.
Even i have scanned the file by uploading it to http://metascan-online.com/

I'm trying to download a PDF file from a flash site without

Ironically, when someone replies to my e-mails, which has my logo at the end (where I'm glad it shows), it also shows as an attachment in the header.
'T'would be nice to have this feature on outgoing mail, as well as having the option to include an in-line graphic with the signature.
I have written to http://www.apple.com/macosx/feedback/ with that suggestion.

N95 downloading file without any notification. was...

Hi,
today, I've been making some pictures and during that, only a screen came up, with the info, that the file "n90..." was downloaded successfully. I don't remember, what was the exact file name, I just clicked OK on the phone, as I've been making pictures.
I tried to check on the phone via file manager or how it is called, if there is any file with a similiar name on the phone, but there isn't.
The only problem is, that I have by default always disabled Bluetooth, disabled Infra, disabled Wi-Fi.
I don't use the phone for surfing on the web at all and I did not schedule to download any file.
How come, that a file has been downloaded without any request of mine?
Do you think, that my phone was hacked? If so, how can I find that it was, or not?
If I do a firmware upgrade, will it remove everything from the phone and install it completely new? If not, then how can I remove the whole software and format the phone completely and install it again?

You could upgrade or re-install existing firmware on your N95 using Nokia Software Updater as it would erase existing data as this model does not have User Data Preservation feature. You can reset device to out of the box condition by keying in *#7370# on standby screen or format C: drive completely by carrying out the "Three finger reset" as detailed in previous post.
Your N95 doesn't download updates for software by itself and there is no facility for running such in the background as on a windows PC.

IE downloads files without extension as html type

Hi,
i wrote a piece of code to down load files. its working fine for all the filetypes which will have extension.
but if the file doesn't have any extension, then download prompt shows
FileName : aaaaa
Type : Html Document
and when saves it saves as txt file. how to stop this and save it as unknown type

I know this isn't an answer to the question you're asking, but are you sure you want that behavior? There might be times where you want an extensionless file to be loaded as a plain text file. At the very least, it will help make your site more compatible.
If all these files are collected in the same area on your system, it might be best to give them the .html extension.
You can do this relatively painlessly with virtually any scripting language. I know I've even seen an AppleScript that will go through a batch and change the extension for you. You might want a modified one that will first check for the start/end HTML tags in the file first to make sure you're only changing HTML files. A quick Google search for scripting a filename change will probably yield lots of results (check Perl and PHP resource sites as well).

I need to download some files on a computer with a high speed internet connection and install them on a computer with a not so high speed connection. I understand that I can download the trial versions and convert them, but how about Muse?

Ios updates download without permission? AGAIN?

Is anyone else having an issue where iOS updates are downloading automatically without permission? I've checked my settings and ALL of the Automatic Download options on my iOS devices are set to OFF. But 8.3 has downloaded automatically without asking on several. I know that it's easy to delete the download without installing it, but doesn't this just defeat the point? I thought we were past this after the undeletable iOS7 forced-download debacle.

QUESTION: Is it possible to retrieve the downloaded file without granting execute to the download procedure? My DBA is requesting that I remove the procedures public grant, but when I do, I can no longer download the file.

As long as the Oracle username with the connection has 'execute' on the package 'public' should not need execute. Though I do not use the tools in question so there may be factors I am unaware of, but Oracle wise the connected session needs execute. If can get it from public, a role, or a direct grant. I just say use role based grants or direct grants rather than a public grant to get the privilege.

How to play a swf file without a browser

I know it sounds bizzare, but not all machine have a
compatible browser installed. I was using flash player stand alone
version for playback of swf files. But, flash player 9 will only
install if I have a browser installed.
I can still play swf file on a machine with a browser, but
the swf file does not come in with a built in playback control, so
I have to watch the video without a playback control.
Is there anyway I can download a standalone version of
flashplayer, just like flashplayer 5.

Is there a way we can use Acrobat Standard to assign a password for opening of signed PDF file once it has been downloaded from DocuSign?

Prior to implementing DocuSign, we used to scan manually signed document to a PDF file and then store the PDF file in a HR file share. We would then use Adobe Writer Standard to assign a read/write password to the PDF file. We now use DocuSign to have documents electronically signed and download the DocuSign PDF in our HR folders. However Adobe Acrobat Writer does not allow us to assign a password. It pops up a dialog box saying ""you cannot change security on this document because the document is signed or certified". We want to continue being able to store the PDF in our HR file share with passwords to restrict who can view off the share. Is there a way we can assign a password to the PDF file once it has been downloaded from DocuSign?

Thanks Bernd. We can't assign passwords before signature process starts as people will not be able to open the PDF without knowing the password. I think we will change our process and simply leave the electronically signed PDF in DocuSign and then "print" the PDF to our local file share for internal HR purposes. thanks again.

I've got what you mean now. Seems that this is a standard behaviour of this tag. And it has a background which I can only guess - you press Upload, upload is done, field is emptied shown that it is ready to upload next file.
I suppose you should handle such situation in your onUpload method. And set some indicator (text field below the fileupload tag, icon somewhere near, disabling fileUpload's bttons etc.) on the screen accordingly.
For instance, your button "Start import" at the bottom of the window already knows about it (it switches from disabled to enabled when you press "Upload").

If Firefox has already downloaded the 30.0 update, how do I get rid of it so that it won't upgrade Firefox when I restart my browser?

Please don't try to encourage me to use the new update. That is not what I am asking. The layout of Firefox 30 is not user friendly at all, and if I cannot continue to use 28, I will change to a different browser.
What I need to know is how can I get rid of the update that just downloaded itself without warning and permission? I have ALREADY selected in the options menu for Firefox to not check for updates. Thanks to another user's post I was able to learn how to disable this completely in the about:config menu (why can't it be done in the settings? Why doesn't Firefox listen to its users? That's a whole other problem!)
I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to delete the update, that appeared against my will, so that I will not be FORCED into using version 30 next time I run my browser.

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

NuVo N200 and browsing files, without actually playing them

I'm not sure if there was any answer to that question in any previous thread, I did a search on N200 and there's so many results, checked a few of them but couldnt find anything.
The most frustrating thing for me at the moment with my N200, which I think overall is a very good player, is that there's no way to browse directories and files without playing them. That's a BIG handicap. I got a directory with about 00 MP3s, misc songs, and it takes forever to skip to a specific song because the player actually tries to load the tune play it every time you go to the next. What would be great and almost necessary is a browse feature that allows you to skip over directories and files, while the player is still playing the current tune, and then will play the new song when selected.
Also, a STOP menu feature, which would be one of the first icons when loading up the menu, would also be very important. Sometimes you don't want to shutdown the player, just stop it for a few seconds.
Is there anyone else with the same wishes? Any possbility of a firmware upgrade someday?

Oh... on my MuVo nx I can do what you propose! The trick is to PAUSE the current track. Unfortunately, it's not possible to browse WHILE a current track is playing without interrupting it. I agree.. a firmware upgrade ought to be entirely possible! I too would like the ability to "look around" at the song collection while a tune is still being played in the background. I never really explored the functionality of any of the other flash-based portable mp3 devices before I settled on this one. I mearly jumped on getting this 256meg version when a supplier informed me that Creative had a 2 or 3-week promotional price on it. At Under $20 cdn about 2 months ago it was hard to pass up!
I wonder if the Muvo C00 would have been a better choice (but I don't like its "round" design). The C00 seems to have a larger display (which I like).
I guess we would have to download the User Manuals of all the devices we're interested in inorder to learn if a certain feature or function is available?

Hi, Flash Player is a browser plug in, not a standalone player. It works thru your browser. Check in Safari and any other browser that you use for the Shockwave Flash plugin. Make sure it's Enabled.
You can test each browser here and should be able to see the Flash Player logo(Red F) animate(spin). It will also display the version of Flash Player that you have Installed.
