Browser has problems opening Applet.

Hi,
I'm not sure if I am posting this message in the right forum but here it is anyways.
When I compile my java code and run it through Appletviewer the program works but with a few bugs. When I run this same program through my browser(both IE and Netscape) it works the exact same way.
Now, the problem arises when I fix my program. After fixing it Appletviewer runs it perfectly, while my browsers do not. The browser for some odd reason keeps running the old instances of my compiled code. It doesn't make any sense. I even tried clearing all my cache and the problem is still there. If I delete all my class files, the browser is running the old program as if I never deleted any class files.
I tried to run my program on my collegue's computer and the program works fine. This shows that there has to be some problem with my browser..... Actually the problem could actually lie beyond that because both netscape and IE have the problem.
Does anyone have any ideas about what could possibly be the problem.....Please help.

I've encountered something similar. I noticed that if I run my applet via a converted HTML page in IE5.5, (while I have a second browser session open) close my applet's HTML page and make some changes to the source code,then reopen the applet's HTML (still having the original 2nd browser session running) it displays my original code. I found the reason is because the java console was still running in the system tray. If I close the java console and then run the HTML, it then shows my new applet code.

My 2008 white plastic macbook when going on pages or the home screen of safari or many other things the colours are glitched completely and jump around in blocks making it unusable. When i use the search bar to go to google it is fixed but docs can't be. When i open files on pages they are unusable because of their glitchiness and the only way i can use the internet is if i use use the search bar to go into google or something like that. It's frustrating because I am trying to use study notes and I can't access them. I will try to add a pic in so you can see what it looks like.

Problem opening local files

Hi!
Our servlet has problems opening links to local files. The syntax of the link is correct (file:///program_install_folder/subFolder1/some_file.txt). When user copy-pastes the url to IE's address bar, the file opens without problems, but clicking the link does nothing.
This has probably something to do with IE's security issues, but:
1) is there any way to solve this problem with java?
2) adding the site to trusted sites doesn't help, but is there any other settings which could enable user to open the link to local file?
Requirement is that program works with Windows XP and IE6.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Reader XI, rebooted my computer but this did not help. I get the same message. What to do?

Can you open Reader by itself? If so, check if disabling Protected Mode improves the situation [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

Open new browser window from an Applet

I have an applet that needs to initiate a new browser window to open and go to a specified URL. Can anyone help me with this?? Thanks in advance.

When using Java Wizard with Firefox 3.6.23 on a Mac OS X 10.6.8 it keep getting an error message: "The Java Wizard cannot run. Please configure your browser to allow Java applets to access the filesystem." Have NO idea how to fix this problem.

When trying to upload files I received the following error: "The Java Wizard cannot run. Please configure your browser to allow Java applets to access the filesystem."

If the problem is with a site that is hosted using MOVEit DMZ by Ipswitch, please notify the site owner of the issue and ask them to apply the patch that is available on the support site to resolve the issue.
This is a better resolution than downgrading your version of Java that was updated due to security issues.

PDF Initial Browser doesn't open PDF with Bookmarks as initial view - Problem (Help)

file from my PC via Contribute and open it with my browser and it
opens in the pages view. NOTE: when i open the PDF in Contribute,
it opens with no special view.....

I don't believe this is a "Contribute" issue at all. I'm having the same problem with a .PDF of my own that I've published to the Web and I'm not using that software.
I had one original .pdf file that had no bookmarks. Bookmarks were then added to the doc and resaved. On the new version I have the document's file properties set to open bookmarks on initial view. The document opens fine locally on my computer, but when I publish to the web (not using contribute), and then try to open the .pdf via hyperlink it opens in MSIE and the bookmarks do not appear on initial view. It's driving me crazy.
I'm wondering if this is some sort of adobe cache issue? Where it's opening the document like the original? Or if it's something to do with MSIE? I have already cleared my browser cache and I also updated my adobe acrobat preferences to NOT restore last view settings when opening documents.
I have tried adding #pagemode=Bookmarks to the end of the URL to the doc...
Everything I've read and researched on line tells me I have done all I can do. Are we just $#!+ out of luck here or what's the deal Adobe?

Backup your files to a external hard drive and disconnect.
Call Apple and make a warranty call, then take it to the nearest Apple Store etc.
You can run these things and it might clear your issue or give further informaiton

I have bought this iphone5 from Hannova German in April2013 and I am using this iphone5 in Nepal. In Nepal there is no authorized dealer. This problem came just from 15th July 2013. You can use these steps to troubleshoot your iPhone if it's powering off unexpectedly:

Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.

Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.

Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. After downloadeding the latest Java plugin, I start to receive "Please configure your browser to allow Java applets to access the filesystem" message when I try to run a download wizard. What do I need to do? BTW, IE does not have this problem.

I had no problem using a download wizard Java applet to download file to my computer from an SFTP site using Firefox. When I tried to do the same thing with Chrome, I was told to download the latest plugin. Once I did that, I receive the following message when I run the downlaod wizard:

I got the same message using Firefox and Chrome. However, I have no problem using IE to run the same download wizzard. Please help.

I found the problem. Do you have other wi-fi (w-lan) like repeater or tv-transmitter or d-link etc. if yes, please disconnect them once and try again after restarting the time-capsule resp. change the channel if you can to another one. then it should work again.
@ home i have a tv-transmitter via wi-fi and indeed, i changed the channel from 1 to 6 or something like that, then the iphone worked again.

A. Backup before doing anything advanced is recommended but not widely used.
B. Upgrade on vanilla plain (and updated) operatiing system goes flawlessly. Upgrade on "real" computer may depend on "status" of operating system and applications installed. You may not be the last experiencing troubles.
C. Software vendors expect that users has nearly unlimited disk size, large memory and latest processor.
D. It is on you to find anything positive to compensate annoyances. Mental balance is in your hands ;-)

You don't need to start a new thread - you just use the 'Reply' button at bottom right of the answering post. Anyway as you're here...
You should start by going to System Preferences (or is it called Settings in ML?)>iCloud and clicking the Sign Out button. Then sign back in again. Your iCloud data will disappear from your Mac when you do this (but not from the server) - it will reappear when you sign back in. Alternatively if the message identifies an account which is signed in at System Preferences>Mail, Contacts and Calendars you should log out and in there.

If you restored to factory settings without help, your phone has a hardware problem or was hacked/jailbroken at some point. Take it to Apple for evaluation. There is nothing further you can do.
