Browser keeps popping up each time I minimize it

Keep on having this issue, it goes ok for a while and then every now and then when I go to minimize the browser it keeps popping back up and keep minimizing and keeps happening again and again. I have stopped the process using task manager and then reopened browser and still happens, gets quite annoying

Yes this is a very frustrating issue. I uncheck the bar and the next time I start Firefox, it reappears. I also tried two different addons and neither worked. Just like the post by amigirl above when I tried "Hide Navigation Bar", it kept the navigation bar on and unable to be turned off. When I right-clicked on the toolbar, it showed the navigation bar as unchecked yet it was still up and running.
It is as if it has been decided that everyone MUST have the navigation bar appear at startup. If you turn it off manually, it is seen by Firefox as a "mistake" so it is turned back on at the next startup. VERY frustrating.

I just had Verizon installed and made Verizon my homepage. But each time I click on Internet Explorer and my homepage opens, a box opens up with "Welcome To Verizon". I've already gone over all the things I'm interested in in it and hit Close each time. But it keeps opening up each and every single time I go onto IE. I don't see any settings buttons to stop it from opening every time. Any advice would be welcome. It's very annoying! Angie

A simple solution would be to just change your home page to something other than Verizon. After all there is only so much news that verizon produces.

I was loading a big file of photos from iPhoto to Adobe Photoshop CS3 and it keep collapsing, yet each time I reopen photoshop it load the photos again and cal laps again. is there a way to stop this cycle?

I tried uninstalling the add on and plug in, but it is no longer installed as an add-on or plug in. How do I get the "new tab" request to simply open with a blank address in the address box instead of www.imesh.com.

Ok, I finally managed to get rid of it.
First I did the thing with the about:config but I flitered for imesh instead and managed to reset two thing but when I got to the keyword.URL I got the same thing as lolbabe98 did with the "An attempt to change your search engine or homepage was blocked."
Then I did a search on my C: drive for iMesh and discovered some things that hadn't been removed even though I had unistalled both the toolbar and the actual program. After that it worked fine and I now have a regular "untitled" tab when I open a new tab.
One last thing, when I tried to remove some of the files there was one that said it was in use, it was called datamanagerUI or something rather. The only thing I had to do there was to open Task Manager and kill a process called DATAMN~1 and I was able to remove it. Hope this helps.

Hmm, that's some sort of MIDI Arpeggiator setup in your environment. Strange that you don't know it, this has to be custom-installed, it is not part of the standard setup.
You can do two things about it:
1.unlock your current screenset (shift-L), then close the (Bass Driver) window, then relock the screenset (shift-L). Next time you open up this project you won't see the Bass Driver, but it is still in the project.
2. You can remove the whole page: open the Environment (cmd-8), then go to the dropdown menu arrow top left of the Environment window and select the Bass Driver layer. If it is selected, dropdown again and choose Delete. Now Save your project under a different name (Save As...), so that you still keep the Bass Driver setup in the original project. If you don't need to keep it, you can simply Save.

Click on it, choose Get Info from the File menu, and check the format.
If it's formatted as NTFS, reformat it as MS-DOS, exFAT, or Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as desired, or install software such as Paragon NTFS on the computer.
If it's formatted as FAT32 or exFAT, use the Disk Utility's Repair Disk command on it; this may also happen for a flash drive which is about to fail.
If it's formatted as Mac OS Extended, click Authenticate and provide your administrator password, or change the permissions on that specific folder in its Get Info window.

Just updated to Mavericks on my MAC. There is a pop-up that states:" Messages agent wants to use your confidential information stored in Facetime".
(brings up an email address and that it's in my keychain). Then it goes on to state, "Do you want to allow access to this item?" I am to click on always allow or deny or allow. I would like to delete this. I do not want to allow the stated email address. I keep denying it access, yet it keeps popping up. Please help!

How do I download the browser in English? Each time I've tried it says English and then I get it in German

Am sick of upgrading because 'Babylon' keeps coming back each time I do. Help!

I am being put off from upgrading firefox because a program called 'Babylon' tries to take over my firefox search page each time I attempted to upgrade. I have managed to get rid of this but it caused me a lot of time, delay and hassle that I did not need.
So now I am unhappy about upgrading firefox as this thing manages to keep on re-attaching itself each time I do. My computer is also slower now for the first 5 or ten minutes of boot up.

In FF8.01 how can I prevent the add-on check which pops up each time I start the program?

In Firefox 8.01, each time I start Firefox, a box pops up indicating the program is checking to see if my addons are compatible. There are currently 3 which are not, and this box simply delays the program start to tell me the same thing every time I start Firefox. Most annoying. Is there a way I can prevent this box from appearing, or reduce it to once a week or once a month?
