Browser loses location when backbutton used

Hi, on my 32gb TouchPad, there appears to be a bug in the internet browser, or maybe a missing thing.
When surfing with the web browser, then pressing the BACK button, the internet browser goes to previous page, but goes back up to the page. It does not remember where we were on that page.
this is a pain when I have a long page of links or search results, and I want to go back to previous place in the same location so I can work my way further down the page. Of searches.
it also noticeable whilst navigating this forum.
I scroll down forum page and selecting those topics I like to view, one at a time. After each topic I look at,I press the back button to take me back to main page, only to find that page has rew3ound to beginning sand have to scroll down every time.
only option would be within the search results page or main forum pages, to hold down each desired link, choose open in new tab, then you will have the pages you want, but you will still have the original page, in the right location, not resound to start, but that is a pain.
please can you fix so internet browser remembers vertical height position when we go back with back key too ya also in regular browser app not remembered also.

This is a problem. The times I need to be where I left off when I go back vs the times I need to be at the top of the page is about 500 to 1. Every other browser I used, including the webOS browser on my Pre Plus, put me where I left off when I used the back button. Why this wasn't part of the original webOS 3, let alone part of the update, is inexplicable.
If HP can't or won't fix it, can the homebrew community?

Did you go to the mfgr's. Web site, and look at the driver downloads, and then verifying that you have the latest one installed? The reason that I ask is that the OS, and most driver update utilities, will be about 6 mos. out of date, if not more.
Also, new computers are loaded with a "master" disc, that was probably created at least 6 mos. before it was used to setup your computer, if not a year. The drivers are very old. With a new computer, the first two things that I do are: clean off any "bloatware," that the mfgr. installed, and then update the OS, and ALL drivers. I have seen drivers that are 3 - 4 years old on a new factory build. All good custom builders, will not install bloatware, and will update the OS and all drivers, before delivery. On an assembly line, that will never happen.

Finder loses location when switching views

Hi,
In Finder if I'm viewing a network drive (Linux share via SMB) and switch from column view to icon view when I switch back to loses the location and takes me right back to the list of shares on that server.
This only started since upgrading to Lion, any ideas?

There seems to be a bug with Finder where some aspect of disconnecting a MBP from an external display will cause the desktop to crash. Symptoms include:
All desktop icons disappear but files on the desktop can still be accessed by browsing through Finder.
Desktop background image cycling (if enabled) does not occur.
You can bring up the desktop shortcut menu (i.e. by right clicking)

The workaround is to relaunch Finder using the "Force Quit" application, at which point the desktop works normally again. However I'd really like a proper fix to this bug. If anyone's heard about one, please post about it here.

Ipad 2 will not find me when i use or maps, but it will in the office - all wireless

My iPad 2 will not find my location when I use Maps when i am out of the office but it will when I am in the office - i use wireless. Location selector is ON.
Any ideas?

That's because the location of your home router is not yet in the router location database.

When I click on a link I get sent to a bunch of other sites and the problem doesn't occur when I use windows internet browser.

When I click on a link, whether e-mail, yahoo or other search engines, E-bay, Amazon, etc. I get sent to another site. If I click back and then re-click on the original site I get sent to where I wanted to be. While I am browsing on a web page of any of the above, or other sites, I sometimes get a voice ad or possibly a video, but I can't locate it or turn it off. This does not happen when I use windows internet, or it's Google chrome internet, only with Firefox. I have used Ad aware, and Mal-bytes anti-virus but they come up blank.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Can I set an initial project-specific browse location when selecting to insert an image?

Hello All,
I work with many different projects at a time and am closing and reopening RH often throughout the day to work on these diff projects. When I reopen a different project and try to insert an image for a topic, it tries to open up the directory for the last inserted image I selected irrespective of its project. I then have to navigate to the current project directory in the Open dialog. It's a minor thing, but all the minor things add up over time...
Is there a setting somewhere where I can tell a project to use a use a default project-specifc location when browsing to select an image to insert into a topic? I looked but couldn't see such a thing.

Hopefully my colleague won't mind a suggestion here. RoboHelp has a feature that may help you with this. The feature is known as "My Places". When you browse for an image, you have an opportunity to configure a destination that will then appear in the "My Places" bar. Hopefully the image below will help explain what I'm talking about.

You might note that in my own "My Places", I have a place called Shortcuts. This is really a folder with shortcuts to other locations. It's very handy to configure one of these so it appears in all your Windows dialogs. The link below offers help with that.

I downloaded Firefox for Android on my Galaxy Tablet 7.0. The browser works fine when I first open it. When not in use and try getting bk on, nothing loads up.

I have downloaded Firefox for Android on my tablet and added some add ons. When first using the browser, it works great and loads up fast. Once I get off Internet and try getting back on at a later time(whether it be a minute or longer), I type in a Web page address and nothing loads up. How can I fix this.

When I use yahoo images and i open an image in a new window, it tweakes out firefox so that panes are distorted and exerything, the whole firefox browser looks like an F5 tornado took it apart and lumped it on my desktop... is this a known glitch?

When I use yahoo images and open an image in a new window, the page, once I click its tab causes the entire browser to scramble graphically, making it nearly impossible to navigate further. I right-clicked and selected close tab. That regains the visual clarity of the browser. But how can I fix this to browse the images?

I tried it again using "save link as", and this time it actually worked! I just now downloaded several more using the "save link as" option, and it works perfectly. Thanks. Problem solved.

I have a Lexmark x5150 printer, getting error message Prop Res DLL not located when trying to print, just in Black. Contacted Lexmark, determined the Problem is Firefox 4.3 doesn't support this feature, although my browser internet explorer does.

I print shipping labels through Paypal, I want to print just in black ink, but when I use the Lexmark properties to change the printing to just black, getting message Prop Res DLL not located. Spent some time with Lexmark Chat to try and find out what I needed to do to fix this. As they walked me through a couple of things to try, one was to go to Internet Explorer, found I could do the necessary printing, with no problems of getting that error message. So it appears the problem is with Firefox 4.3

I just installed a new computer and want MSN as my homepage and Firefox as my browser. How do I get MSN to open when I use Firefox browser?

My computer tech set up Firefox as my browser when he installed my new computer. I went to MSN.com and set it up as my home page but I need to know how to get it to open to MSN when I use the Firefox browser.

Inside Firefox, go to the msn website. Then, Click on the Orange Firefox button, then Options, and under Home page, click "Use Current".
Also, make sure you update to Firefox 12 (Click the orange Firefox button, then the arror next to help, then About Firefox. Let the update download, then click apply update)

Location services Always on or when in use?

I have an iPhone 5S running OS 8.3.1
Trying to learn as much about using Siri and the services as I can to be able to maximize my use. What I ultimately want to know is. How does Siri know where I am if the location service is set to, "when in use" for maps, and for find my friends, instead of always?
This came about when setting reminders up for, "remind me when I leave home to take out dog." for instance, or "remind me when I get to Hy-Vee to get Dr. Pepper". If the map is not always on, how does Siri know where I am? Is this going to fail? or not work? Do I need to leave the map on all the time?

Location services gives the current location to the app that requests it.
The process looks like this... independently of the map.
Siri launches and requests location, GPS chip processes location data from the cell tower and wifi networks.

Try adding [email protected] as a VIP contact in your icloud mail app using the appleid used for icloud if using multiple accounts (i.e different itunes and icloud account).
But seriously that happens really !? not getting emails for using icloud services with a valid appleid.

Try double clicking on the harddrive icon on your desktop
You should get something like this.
On the left pane is a list of common places.
All the user data is in the /Users folder.
See the magnifying glass on the upper left of the screen. This is spotlight. Type in a file name.

Crap thought that text was all the characters I was allotted, not just the title.
Anyway I wouldn't have even posted this if you guys would have allowed me to reply to the already existing thread I found through google. Said about 20 or so people had the same problem and no one found the contributor's answer useful, including myself.
Anyway, I use Firefox, because it is one of two (other being internet explorer) that Trend Micro's security package includes protection with. Same with spyware blaster which I also use but Trend Micro is the deal breaker. Also I like Firefox 4 and your ad blocker is better than google chrome's. However if I continue to have problems with clearing my browser history it is back to Opera and Google Chrome for me. IObit Security supports both of them, it also seems to be the best security system I have ever come across, I will just pay for their subscription and stop using Trend Micro.
This is a very big problem I hope it is being addressed. Only addon I have is your ad blocker. Also this is completely on your end, not ours. I am the perfect test, my computer is brand new, and by brand new I mean I just started using it the other day, the same day my firefox browser kept crashing as I attempted to clear my browsing history.
Windows 7, 8GBs RAM, AMD athlon II quad core 2.90 GHz
Can't even clear an hours worth of browsing history without firefox crashing.
