Browser message icon on main page on 8120

I've recently gotten some sort of "browser message" icon (located where one would normally get a meeting or schedule message icon) and noone at the local T Mobile store can tell me how to get rid of it. Once again it is a small icon located just above the regular page icons, much smaller and I was told it was a "browser message icon" but they couldn't tell me how to get rid of it.
Any help???

Have you checked to see if you actually do have a browser message? Click on your message icon and click the menu key. Scroll down and select "view folder". Then select browser messages. Hopefully you will have an unread message there and the icon will go away.

Make sure that you do not block cookies from that website.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Cant find Home, Notifications, messages icons in Facebook page.

No addons added. Firefox version is latest 23.0.1

Android in-app browser view the HTMLResources's Page Problem.

Dear All,
I am created the web content overlays, This page have the hyperlink to open the main page (store in HTMLResources) via in-app browser.
The main page included iframe service page. I am fine running in IOS Content Viewer.
But When I am put this folio in the Android Content Viewer, The in-app browser just display when iframe service page only.
I try put the HTMLResources's Web Page in the web server, hyperlink to open the main page (store in web server) via in-app browser.
The android in-app browser can display the main page with iframe service page. Anyone know how to fix it problem ?

What are the exact steps I need to execute in order to have the latest upgrade? I've clicked on the "upgrade" icon and it has taken me through the steps, but still tells me I'm not upgraded. The latest version of Firefox is 9.0.1, so it looks like your updates have failed. You can look at the Knowledge Base article [[Updating Firefox]] for some troubleshooting steps. Alternatively, you might just want to try installing a fresh copy of the latest version of Firefox. I would look at the Knowledge Base article [[Backing up your information]] first. That way you'll have a backup of all your bookmarks and person information.
Then you should completely uninstall Firefox and then download a new copy from:
http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/new/

Apparently it is not an issue with wifi since Safari, You Tube and Maps work well, I’ve tried some of the tips, e.g. log off/on my Id, change password but no one worked.

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

Why won't my "searchpreview" add-on work from my browser search box since Firefox updated to 3.6.16, but it works when I do it from the Google main page??

Since Firefox updated itself to 3.6.16 earlier today, when I search for anything in my Google search box on the browser, it always used to show me thumbnails when the Google page came up. Now there are no thumbnails appearing, except if I go on the Google main page and search from there, the thumbnails still appear. Whe it updated, the browser automatically searched for incompatability problems with my add-ons but nothing appeared to say Searchpreview was incompatible.

Since installing the new OS i am having troubles with different appliction icons showing up on my main page twice (upper left corner), and not allowng me to select certain ones (app store specifically). Anyone else having this issue?

Help - anyone else out there having trouble with the new OS system on their ipad 2? I am not getting mutliple copies of several apps ont he main page. They are "collecting: in a pike int he upper left corner and the original application icon is no lobger working. I have tried a hard sync, and that didn't help.

It should only be able to have one copy of an app on the iPad. Have you tried a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
Do all the apps work ? In the past a few people have taken a screen shot of their iPad screen and that has then become their background picture - so some of the 'app's may actually be on your wallpaper picture and not actual apps. Have you tried changing the wallpaper to see if that makes any difference ?

Several things come to mind ... when you say your wife uses the same system with a different login and doesn't have issues, that suggests looking at your login items. Go to System Preferences (on your dock or on your hard drive in Applications), accounts, and on your account look at login items. Anything there that shouldn't be or isn't used? If you don't know, create a new account for yourself with no login items, and see if you still have the issue.
Next, I would run OnyX, which is a free disk maintenance program. You can download it from http://www.titanium.free.fr/download.php . Do the tasks on the cleaning and maintenance tabs. Before using any disk maintenance software, you should have a system backup. I periodically run it, and others have found that it can help with performance.
You might look at how you're system is using memory. You should have enough but it's easy to check. Bring up the Activity Monitor (on your hard drive in Applications/Utilities), and look at the system memory tab. Note page ins and page outs. If page outs are 10% to 15% more than page ins, you can use more memory for the programs you run. A page out occurs when memory is full and OS X has to write a section of memory to the hard drive. Too much of this can really impact performance. The optimal situation is for page outs to be zero. Note these values reset on a system boot.

I realized that I bought this iPod T4 about a year ago, so decided to check the date and it is still under the 1 year ltd. warranty until 21 Dec. I contacted Apple via Chat and was informed that the problem may lie in the version of iTunes I was running 10.7. Today Apple released v. 11 of iTunes which I was instructed to download. It's TOTALLY different from iTunes 10.7 - drastically different in fact.
The Apple Chat Rep set up a phone call appointment forl 8:00 pm ET tonight where another Rep will call me to make sure the restore was accomplished OK. With v. 11 of iTunes I can't even find the restore option!!! The phone Rep will have to help me navigate v. 11 of iTunes. It doesn't seem intuitive at all. Maybe it's just me?!?!
Thank you for sending this new link for firmware. It's not clear to me right now whether I'll need it or not. The phone Rep will probably somehow be able to resolve the problem. If not, they'll probably send me to the nearest Apple store if the problem is hardware, as it would be covered under the warranty. I will give another update as to what transpires as a result of the phone call with the Apple Rep.

I cannot look at my recent calls. If I try it just returns me to my main page. The number varies on my phone icon depending if I make or receive a call. Any ideas?

If not found, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.

Browser Message

I received a browser message today from Rogers AT&T for a promotion they are running but do not know how to view it.
I have the browser icon with a 1 at the top of my screen where it would should text and email messages to let me know I have a new message.
How do I access browser messages on my 8900?

If you can't view it - how do you know it is a Promotion ?
If it is definitely the Browser icon - a tiny globe of the world, with a number 1 next to it,
then it is a browser "push" message - from when you previously tried to view a web page that was unavailable,
and now it IS available, so you are being alerted to this.
Goto : Main Menu / Messages / Menu / View Folder / Browser Messages
Then either delete the message in there, or click on the link to view the web page you are being notified is now available.
Can also be confused with the symbol that appears when there is an update available for one of your installed app's.
In which case : go into your downloaded Apps folder and check the indiviual App's to see if there are updates for them.
