Browser not accessing new website

Just created a new website and trying to access wordpress. Currently when I click on http://martialartsbasics.com/wp-admin Safari hangs and wont engage. Says server not found after a minute or so. Have called the provider (hostgator) several times and they indicate all is set up correct and have troubleshooted all we can think of. I have other sites that are accessing fine on the same server so I know its not the server.
One of the tech guys says its the DNS that Mavericks is not accessing for some reason. I tried opening terminal and using the commmand
dscacheutil -flushcache;sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
But its not behaving as expected. For example it doesnt come up and ask me for my password like the article explains it should.
here is what Ive tried:
1. restarting my iMac (using latest Maverick 10.9.1)
2. tried three browsers with same result
3. flushing the cache as noted above
4. emptied browser cache
5. I can access through proxybrowsing.com so I know its working outside of my device.
Any other ideas how to get this working?

It started working this morning so something about the URL being new and populating the servers was taking longer than normal.

• EA4500 - can only access youtube, google at a very slow speed, can not access anyother website

Got a new EA4500 for X'mas
After setting up the new router I could only access youtube and google at a very slow speed, however I can not access anyother website - facebook, yahoo and etc...
it would ping yahoo and google no problem
friend told me to do a tracert some ip address and his conclusion was the router is fully functional
ISP uses PPPoE, Im sure that the username and password are correct.
upgraded to the latest firmware manually, and holy hell accessing the router with no internet access is a pain in the **bleep**!
Please help and Merry X'mas

I've made sure that both the EA4500 setting were the same as the WRT54G, did not solve the problem.
IP Address behind WRT54G is 192.168.1.103
behind modem is 202.151.XX.XX
It might be a DNS problem. Release & renew ip on the status page of your router. Just make sure you are already using the latest Linksys smart wifi firmware, reset the router & reconfigure. You can download the firmware here http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/EA4500.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

How to fix this?

Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
'''Note''': ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions and some Preferences.''
*Open websites will not be saved in Firefox versions lower than 25.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
'''For Firefox versions previous to 29.0:'''
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox"[[Image:Button reset]] button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
'''For Firefox 29.0 and above:'''
#Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]], click help [[Image:Help-29]] and select ''Troubleshooting Information''.Now, a new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
#At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Reset Firefox"[[Image:Button reset]]. Click on it.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

• Can not access one website

I am using Comcast's ARRIS Model TG1682G modem/router. I can access a website using my computer from other locations but not from home either driectly wired or using WIFI. I get the message:"This Page Not Available". ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCHA secure connection cannot be established because this site uses an unsupported protocol.Any suggestions? If I ndd to change the IP address, I need to be instructed.

Yes I have tried Exployer, and Firefox. I am currently using Chrome. None has worked from my home. They all work other places. My brother uses Comcast at a different location and he can access the site. Thanks

• Can not access all websites

In the last 3 weeks I have not been able to access all websites. There were no changes to the computer when this occured. The computer is only used to go online to pay bills and check email. I can access cbsnews.com but not nbcnews.com. I also cannot access the microsoft web sites among others. I reset the computer to factory settins but the problem still exists. My other computers using the wireless router work fine. This desktop is wired directly to the router. This happens with IE and Mozilla. I use Avast free antivirus and have boot scanned the computer. Thanks for the help.

I think I may have solved the problem although I haven't used this computer much since I did what I did. I was using Avast free antivirus and have uninstalled it and installed another antivirus. This, so far, has seemed to work.

Do you mean saving a password?
If you clicked "Never" then you have created an exception that you need to remove.

• I know I did not access a website any time recently, but it shows up in my drop down box in the address line, why?

The drop down box on my address bar shows a website I know I have not gone to recently. Most recent access on this website was probably about 1 year ago. My settings for clearing browser history are set for 20 days, though! (I think, I'm not very literate at this stuff) Why did this happen? It is very important for me to have an explanation for how this could have happened.

Maybe a addon? Have you tried safe mode to see if its a addon, test if those suggestions come in safe mode, see the article below.

• Two steps required to access new website

I thought v 10.0.2 was supposed to faster!!
Before upgrading I could enter a url in a new browser window and press ENTER to get the page.
After UPGRADING to 10.0.2 I was very disappointed to be required to take 2 steps because pressing ENTER after entering the URL does not work. Instead here are the two steps needed now: (step one) enter the url in the browser (step 2) press the arrow at the end of the browser instead of using ENTER
Is there a fix for this or can I return to previous version?

• Error 323: Could Not Access New Router

I was reconnecting my router (model no. WRT54G2 V1) and at the point where I connect the power supply and wait for the router to connect. Within a few seconds, the process stops and I get the title message. I've followed the steps listed, with no help whatsoever.
Solved!
Go to Solution.

Stop using the setup disk. It does not work. Connect via browser to 192.168.1.1 username blank, input your password and configure the router as normal.

• I can not access a website page to input data because security level to high. How do I lower security level?

''duplicate of https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/903690''
This web site uses Javascript extensively for menu navigation options. If you don't see a drop-down menu at the bottom of the top banner, then you have your security settings currently set to High. You need to set the security settings to Medium which is sufficiently secure for this site.

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
*Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

The weird thing is I could yesterday morning. Now I am unable to. I can access all those sites from my laptop (not a Mac). Tried out all the suggestions I found here as well but to no avail.
1. Settings > Wi-fi > selected my wifi and Forgot this Network.
2. Reboot my phone my pressing my home button and sleep button.
3. Went back to Settings > Wi-fi > reselected my Home wifi > re-entered the passcode.
4. Still could not access certain websites (for instance this!) and apps like Whatsapp, Viber and certain websites on Safari.
