Browser Rendering Oddities, Symbols disappearing?

Hello folks, I was feeling great this morning having fixed (I thought) some issues with an animation (with previous help from this forum!) and successfully adding audio. The animation played fine in all browsers BEFORE I added the audio, but after:
- In Chrome, symbols are disappearing in the middle of the animation (the arrows on the right and top, the triangle inside the "Play Again" button, and text is flickering during playback;
- In IE, the animation freezes for a long time after initially clicking play.
- In Firefox and Safari things seem to work fine (but Firefox is turning my dotted lines into solid).
The most confusing part is that after I removed the audio to troubleshoot, the problems are STILL there. Not sure how I broke this. (BTW, it plays fine in browser preview from Edge Animate.)

Curves Circle Symbol Disappeared in Photoshop - Replaced With Curves Icon. Need help

Today I watched a YouTube video on how to get rid of under eye darkness in Photoshop (I use CC). It worked beautifully! So easy. I opened another photo to do the same thing, left my computer for a couple hours, came back, and the Curves symbol disappeared-the half colored in, half not circle. I needed to click it in order to achieve my earlier results. It was replaced with a Curves icon as shown under the Adjustments. I was desperate for an answer to this mystery - I can't find the right help anywhere. Ugh. Got anything?

My tabbed browsing bar won't disappear..

The problem is that the tabbed browsing bar won't disappear up on my mac book air when I have more then one side opened at the time.
I am new with mac so i don't know how to solove this at all

Would you post a screen shot so people can see what you are seeing? Make sure you cover any personal information using Preview. Post the screen shot in a Reply using the camera icon or you can drag the screen shot into a reply. Copy and paste doesn't work.

SMS. Deggie, had them check that. After a lengthy discussion with Senior Tech advisor, it appears it is iMessage/Face Time server (they are the same) issue, which will strong arm those into purchasing Data if they use iMessage over multiple devices, as the server registers the phone number associated with apple ID. Not impressed. I put what I've learned here in a simliar thread

Drag and Drop not working - symbol disappears when I try to drag

I have a large animation I am making in Edge Animate, and have already used the draggable jquery plugin several times. However yesterday I made a new symbol for a separate animation, and then added elements and turned them into symbols, and added the following code to the symbol timeline on creationComplete:

I have tried it with several different symbols, but each time I check it in a browser, I click on the symbol to drag and it disappears instead. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong, as that is all the code in the timeline actions, and I'm sure there's no code on the symbols I want to drag. I have also copied and pasted the code from draggable symbols that work, and changed the name, as they have slightly more code on for when you start dragging the symbol.

There are several draggable symbols and two droppable symbols, each draggable symbol can be put into one droppable symbol, and I want the draggable symbol to go back to it's original position if it is dragged anywhere but the correct droppable symbol. I have used revert: 'invalid' for this, but all of the draggable symbols spring back to their original position, but a bit lower down, even when dropped onto the correct droppable symbol, except "carrots-s", which isn't affected by revert: 'invalid'. Any idea what's happening?

Objects in symbols disappearing after closing/reopening project-HELP!!!

I am a college student working in flash CS5 and am in the middle of an animation project where i am creating a walking human figure using armatures.
I began the project on the school computers, everything working fine. saved project to several places, including flash drive and computer's thaw space
brought project home to continue working on my macbook. opened project and figures animated arms and legs (which were perfect on school comp) are completely missing. The symbol names are still in the library, but the objects themselves look like they've been deleted. they are nowhere to be found.
This has happened every single time I close flash and reopen it, whether on the same or a different computer.
I have had to recreate the whole project from scratch 4 times now because of this.
I came in early to class to work on the project more, and lo and behold, it opened with all the arms and legs (the ones i had redone for the 4th time, from the most recent work session on my laptop). I continued working on the project, all going great, but then another class came in and i had to change computers.
I saved in multiple places again, flash drive, thawspace, etc. and moved to another computer. Opened project from my flash drive, and the arms and legs are all missing again. i just have a floating head and torso, and the project is due in an hour. There's no way I can recreate all the drawings and armatures and animations from scratch a 5th time in just an hour.
Here is any additional info that might help:
both school and home computers are running Flash CS5
began project on school computer using several flash files:
     1st file was simply to draw the pieces of the figure.
     2nd file i imported pieces from file 1 into library to begin animating in file 2.
     (once the objects were imported into file 2's library, file 1 should not affect them right?)
I continued to improve and refine and eventually animate body parts in file 2, saving continually.
As long as project is not closed, everything works perfectly. Once project is closed and reopened (even on same computer) armatured objects disappear.
Their symbol names (placeholders) still appear in the library, but when you select them and see the overhead preview or enter symbol editing mode, it shows a blank screen.
******IMPORTANT******
organization of files is this, in descending order from outtermost to innermost symbols
1. mc_model-------------a movie clip of the entire figure, containing all the figures individual animated parts as separate symbols
2. gs_leg------------------a graphic symbol containing one keyframe extending 40 frames, simply a placeholder for the armatured leg in the nested symbol
3. gs_legArmature-----another graphic symbol containing the original drawing of the leg, also the leg's armature and animation, lasting 40 frames.
NOW here's the thing.....when you enter into all of these symbols (mc_model>gs_leg>gslegArmature) and you are on the deepest level of the leg which contains the armature, once the project has been closed and reopened, the ARMATURE IS STILL THERE. The poses are still recorded in the timeline, the armature bones or connections or whatever the name for them is are still there, just the actual leg is gone. Just the drawing of the leg.

We are checking the cursor status from v$open_cursors. As you said it may be cached cursors.
We have find out one more thing in connection pooling setting in Tomcat.
It is having the below setting :

If we are changing the value as follows , then the database is not showing any open cursors or even inactive connections.

But we cannot change this to false because of some other reasons .
Can anybody explain why it is happening. Is there any other way around ?

PDF in browser rendered as Text

We're trying to render SMARTFORMS outpur as PDF within our WebDynpro
application. We've found several posts which have been very helpful
and I think we're close. When we try to show the pdf a client browser window
is spawned and the content is rendered as text within the browser (shown below).
It looks like I'm not setting the content-type in the response header correctly.
Below is the code we're using.

Some Symbols disappear when I create Tween

Hello,
I seem to be having trouble with Tweening. I have a group of
symbols hat I moved from one location at the keyframe 10 to another
location at the keyframe 20. When I create a motion tween, some of
the objects move fine, while others disappear during the frames
11-19 and then reappear at 20. I really don't know what I'm doing
wrong, and would appreciate any help. Thanks!

I get the same problem, and I have found a number of workarounds. Obviously, you can just convert all of the tweened intervals' frames to keyframes, but this is kind of an awful solution if you have a lot of tweened intervals
I've noticed that if you go into any symbol that has tweens and play across the timeline, that it seems to fix the problem for the moment - at least long enough to output a correct .swf.
I've also found that if you add a keyframe anywhere that has the symbol with tweens or that has the symbol with tweens nested anywhere down in it, that Flash corrects the problem, even after the key has been deleted. It seems that when you add the key, Flash must go through the nested symbols and reacquaint itself with how they are supposed to be working. Again, this method only works for as long as you have the project open. Once you save it out and reload it, the problem generally reappears.
But I think the most convenient method is to make a layer on the main timeline and put keys on it that contain every symbol necessary to include all of the tweened intervals, in those symbols or nested within them. Then when you want to output without having the tweened elements disappear, do a "save and compact". This seems to make Flash check through all of the symbols and nested symbols and correct the tweened intervals. Then "guide" the layer with all of those keys so that it won't show, and output your .swf, and all of the tweened intervals should behave. You'll have to go through this rigamarole every time you want to output, but it's not too bad. (I think that that layer has to be unguided during the "save and compact" in order to fix it's symbols.)
(This is all in Flash CS3, so I don't know if any of it has changed.)

Monitor symbol disappeared in Task bar

Hallo -
I have installed ML, no issues, also Airplay works. Just one thing is confusing me. The Monitor symbol in the upper Taskbar (where Time Machine, Battery ... Time and so on is shown) is disappeared. I have seen that :-) before and I used it to enable Airplay mirroring.
In the previous versions, it could be checked on in System preferences but now I do not find a checkbox anymore :-(
Would be nice if I could have it back

I miss that symbol a lot, because I could switch the external monitor (for example a beamer on presentations) from sync to extend monitors, what was extremely handy.
For example I switched it to "sync" when I showed my customers how a software worked, so they could see the same what I see on my screen. Then I started a keynote presentation, which is better if the displays are not synced but "extended", or if I want them to shwo something different on the beamer than on my screen.
If this has removed by intend, I will write a feedback as this feature is very important to me. Removing such features hurt a lot, especially if you often have used them.

Symbol disappear from stage after being created from an image

Ok, first, I'm a beginner with Edge here, So I might be missing some obvious solution.
I want to create a button. I simply change an image to symbol (as I want to animate the buttons).
Once I do that and test it in preview, the symbol is gone. It never comes back. It's not put to
'hide'. It's in the timeline...
What am I missing?

Thanks for wanting to help! I was going put up the project but first I wanted to trouble shooting one last time.
and... i got it to work!
I'll put the problem here in case someone runs into this issue as a beginner.
Steps to trouble shoot:
There was no code put into the button, Just a simple button.
I closed the project and made a new project just with an image and created the symbol. It worked. It was still there.
Then I went back to the project. Turn off every layer except the symbol that disappeared. When everything was turned off, I ran the preview again and the symbol was back! Then I turned each layer back on, one by one... doing previews each step. It kept showing until the last part. then it disappeared again. I then looked at the symbol closely to compare what was different from the other layers.
It was that every other layer used % instead of px at the position. The symbol used px as position and basicly jumped outside the stage.
Silly mistake but I am started to understand Edge Animate. It seems that if you use %, it's best to keep consistant with it and not mix % and px in position/sizes for the layers.

Downloaded 4.0 and the ReminderFox symbol disappeared. Have I lost my reminders?

ReminderFox is by far the most significant add-on for me, and I have no backup method for keeping track of some of the reminders. The ribbon symbol did not transfer to 4.0 and I'm not familiar with the file structure.

I had this same problem, and it took me a bit to figure out.
Firefox 4 turned off the Add-on bar by default even if you had it showing in Firefox 3. So we just need to get it back on again. In version 4 of Firefox, click the new orange Firefox menu option, then hover over Options and click "Add-on Bar" if it doesn't have a tick mark next to it.
You should now see ReminderFox in the bottom right of your browser.

I purchased and upload a new ringtone and all my ringtone symbols disappear

A bit of weirdness I need some help with...I went into my ITunes and picked a song with the bell ring tone symbol in order to create a new ring tone. I created the ring tone and purchased it. So far so good, it showed up in my list of ringtones so all seemed to be well. However, when I went back to my ITunes playlist, all the ringtone symbols (the bell) had disappeared from all the songs which can be made into ringtones. I'd really like to get those back, as I want to create more ringtones. Any advice? Also, there seems to be another casualty--the smart song finder which appears at the right hand side of ITunes and makes song recommendations based on what is playing as disappeared as well; another neat feature I'd like to recover. Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks!

Symbols disappear when I view the published animation in Firefox

I created a rich media ad using Edge Animate. I published it and tested it on Firefox, Chrome and Safari. It appears fine on Chrome and Safari but when I view the expanded portion in Firefox all of the symbols on the main stage disappear. Any idea why? Looking at the source code it is all still there, it just isn't showing up. Please help!

I have found a display solution but it isn't the most elegant. Basically the only way the frame would display correctly is if it was reloaded WHILE visible on the screen. I added the following function and then called it when the toggle function was called:

It blips the wrong background for a split second and then reloads the frame correctly. It is not ideal but it functions. If someone out there can find a solution that doesn't have the blip I am all ears.

Symbol disappears after motion tween

My tween is working, but on the frame after the ending keyframe, the symbol just disappears. I had expected it to just stay in place and remain part of the image. How do I get it to remain on the screen?

You can in another layer, place the playhead at the same ending keyframe then press F9 (to open the panel code) and type
stop ();
with this will stop the movie in that frame.
Or you can press F5 (in the tween layer), to "extend the frame for several frames"
Select with the mouse all leftover frames, then right click and select remove frames
