Browser settings of safari when using college proxy

Background:I'm using macbook pro (mid 2012) and have recently updated it to OSX 10.9.
I'm using college proxy to run internet and i'm unable to connect my safari to net while others like firefox and chrome are running well.
I find this problem when using the college net only. When I use USB Data card to connect to net my safari is running well.
Before the software update I could atleast connect my app store but now I'm unable to do it.
Please help me out.

You would have to check with the network administrator to find out the correct proxy settings.

When using a proxy server at work, Deezer page does not load normally?

When using a proxy server at work, Deezer page does not load normally, but when I go home and use connection without proxy, everything is fine.
It loads, and some features on the website work, but the look is not the same. Over the proxy it shows just text on the left side of the screen and I can't choose some of the options.
When I go home and use my home connection without proxy, there are no problems, everything is OK.
Could you please solve this?

Firefox leaking DNS queries when using a proxy

When configuring firefox to use a PAC file for proxy configuration, or when using the "system proxy settings" option, firefox queries the internal DNS server for every request, instead of using the proxy. I've see other "bugs" people have mentioned when using a socks proxy that sound similar, but this happens with just a regular proxy in my example (over port 8080)

WebKit2Webprocess.exe*32 is slowing down safari when using flash player and using up Lot's of CPU

Im having Major Troubles with Safari whenever I start up Safari I get a Process Called WebKit2WebProcess.exe*32 using not much memory after about 30sec its using around half of what safari is using.After a minute its around 3/4th. But It all starts when I try to basiclly go to another page , its now using higher then safari and rapidlly increasing(and even faster when Flash is in use). Right now the process is using 170 000 K and Safari is using around 130 000 K while im typing this. When i go to youtube it uses 290 000 K and safari runs slower. Its even worse with games when i tested a game

Safari is now lagging furiusly only on the site but not the other tabs.

I love using the Safari Browser compared to any other browser, however the file webkit2webprocess occupies a lot of memory and slows down the browsing, what does this file do and why on earth does it require so much of memory can apple not fix this bug. Have contacted Apple support but nobody seems to have an answer on this issue. Come on Apple please do not ignore this problem!!

XML not displaying in Safari when using a XSL.

Hi, has anyone encountered this issue where Safari, and all Mac browsers for that matter, don't display XML when using an XSL? When I use a XML file with an XSL stylesheet I get a "Document is Empty" error. It displays correctly when a CSS is used and also works just fine on a PC.

My goof. In the Safari preferences area I turned on Developer mode out of curiosity and then by accident turned off pictures. All is well now.

Can no longer simultaneously stream an mp3 in Safari when using fast user switching option.

After updating to ios 5, I can no longer stream an mp3 in Safari when I use the fast user switching option. For instance, if you are listening to streaming content in a Safari tab and want to reference another app as soon as you switch from the Safari stream pauses.
This was not the case with previous versions of ios. Any ideas on a work around to restore this functionality to keep Safarr streaming content in the background?

User switching problems is the very first thing I noticed with SL. I have a host of other problems with SL but this is one of the most frustrating. The user switching did not work on 10.6 very well either but was wicked fast in 10.5.x
Apple rewrote the Kernel so this type of thing is expected, still the test crew missed this very noticable problem. Hopefully 10.6.2 has a fix.

No tables listed when using a proxy connection in SQL Developer

Hello, I'm trying to use a connection in SQL developer that uses the proxy connection to connect to another users tables. In the SQL worksheet area I can access the other users tables with no problems. And using SELECT COUNT(*) FROM USER_TABLES i get the count of the number to tables. But on the tables view on the left hand side of SQL developer no tables are listed. So the question is why do I not see any tables under the tables view? Is this a bug or is it working by design? Why do pages load very slowly when using a proxy in Win 7?

Whenever I try to use a proxy server,it will work okay a couple of times. Then after that pages will start loading very slowly,so that I find that I have to uninstall the proxy program.I am using Win7 Ultimate,a netgear router, and high speed internet "10Mbps"..I have tried different proxy hiders and they all do the same thing.Can anyone help?????????????

You may have a Safari add on installed that's not compatible with Flash. A crash report may reveal what's going on...
If Safari has just crashed, press the Report button on the CrashReporter dialog box to view the crash information.
Copy/paste the entire contents of the Crash Reporter window into your reply. If the crash report dialog does not appear or the crash is hard to reproduce, crash logs can be retrieved from the ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter> folder.
Make sure and include the "binary images" section.
BEFORE you post a crash report, reinstall Safari 5.0.6 for Leopard
Retart your Mac, try Safari. If it still crashes, then post the report in your reply.

Content jittering in Safari when using linked anchors to scroll.

A ton of the feedback that I've been getting from Safari users is that content appearing on screen is very "shaky/jittery" initially as they navigate through the page using the menu (hyperlinked anchor buttons) or by scrolling (using this scroll wheel anchor widget, downloaded from: Use mouse scroll wheel to navigate between Muse anchors – Adobe Muse Widget Directory).
At first I was concerned it was the widget that was causing the problem, but after removing it I noticed the problem still occurs when you use the out-of-the-box hyperlinked anchors from Adobe Muse.
I'm a Google Chrome user first and foremost, and the scrolling looks fine in my browser. I didn't know this problem even existed prior to receiving feedback from my testing group but apparently the site features a similar problem with Firefox browsers as well.
Once the site is launched I expect all sorts of users with a variety of different experience levels (and browsers) to visit the page, so this could develop from a relatively minor annoyance to me, into a fairly significant distraction for others.
Any suggestions/insight would be greatly appreciated.

Ipod audio settings - applying them when used with stereos, car stereos

I could not find this specific problem, so I hope I am not reposting.
In itunes, using Volume Adjustment slide-bar (itunes>File>Get Info>Options); adjusts songs to play at the level you desire as well as using the equalizer setting for individual songs too. I can save these adjustments for my PC itunes when my ipod is connected, but is there a way to save the settings on the Ipod itself so these adjustments are used in playback when I use my Ipod on my home stereo or car stereo? Since I have thousands of songs from my cd collection on my Ipod, many are at different recording levels (remasters, old recordings, live songs, etc), I adjust each song individually. I noticed this does not come through when I use my ipod on my stereo. I assume this is because these settings are not saved on the ipod right? Am I just SOL here? Thanks for all your help.

Use the soundcheck feature to level out the volume somewhat.
Apply it in iTunes using the edit/preferences/playback menu (Windows).
Turn it on on the iPod using the settings/soundcheck/on menu.
After applying it in iTunes, sync your iPod to reflect the changes made.
There are 3rd party programs that do this more effectively (at least in my opinion).
For Windows there is mp3Gain.

How can I disable DNS queries in Firefox (when using a proxy) ?

I am behind a "Chinese wall" and use an HTTP proxy to tunnel and encrypt my data traffic.
Unfortunately, Firefox still sends DNS queries for the websites, that I visit and reveals more information than I want.
Is there a way to disable DNS, when I use an HTTP/S proxy ?
My current workaround is to set a firewall rule for outbound DNS traffic of Firefox. But not all users are able to configure their firewall.

That is done via an onbeforeunload or onunload event that displays a JavaScript alert.
