Browser that uses Flash

hiya i am in the process of selling my Android phone and buying a new iPhone 4. i am looking for a browser app wherein it circumvents the inability of the iPhone and be able to render/display Flash on a website.
is there such an app?
any sugestions guys?

It's funny that you mention this. I just bought the Skyfire app today and attempted to watch a TV show that uses flash and a video on you tube that uses flash, and Skyfire wouldn't let me watch either. Now I'm wondering if I just paid for an app that doesn't work at all, or if there is some other problem. Can anyone who has this app give me their opinion of it? Does it work for you? Sometimes? Not at all? Just trying to get some feedback on this app from others who have it.

Flash videos and things that use flash freeze firefox completely.

Well, whenever I open a flash player, or something like that, most things that use flash player as a plugin, it freezes my firefox, and then, after awhile it may or may not say a script is causing problems yadda yadda.

If you are running Flash 11.3, try disabling the new protected mode, since that feature is currently being debugged. How can I view videos from a website that uses flash player?

Hi All...having an issue finding an application to use to view videos on another website that uses flash player. I have Flip for Mac, but this doesn't solve the problem. Without this(Adobe) app, the videos will not run, rendering use of the website usless. Finding more and more issues in trying to use these video tutorials on my iMac/Maverick. Is there any help out there?

Youtube and flash games work, but other sites that use flash don't work

I'm currently using Firefox 18.0.2 on 2 different computers (Both Win7 64 bit), both with flash 11.6.602.168. Both have roughly the same programs installed and the same browser configuration. However, on one machine, flash works only on some sites. For instance, Youtube works perfectly, as do dedicated flash games. However, sites that use embedded flash applications fail to work. For instance, if I visit www.speedtest.net, where the test options normally appear is completely blank. Similarly, other video players fail. For example, videos in www.cbsnews.com play sound, but where the video should be is just white. I've tried completely uninstalling both firefox as well as flash, and installing previous versions, nothing has worked.

I guess it is a process of elimination, what is different ?
I would first of all check and experiment with Adobe FlashPlayer protected mode setting.

Also have you any filtering, adblock or security related programs installed which may block video or scripts. With you-tube check is it actually using Flash player,and not trying to use any HTML5 options so check any options and cookies.

Pages that use flash freeze up in mavericks.

When viewing a page that uses a flash plug-in, the page will freeze after a few seconds of inactivity by me. It will start again if I touch my mouse or track pad over the area, but that's no solution. That's terrible.
I thought maybe it was a new setting, and I unchecked the option to stop plug-ins to save power when possible, but that didn't do anything.
This isn't ruining my life or anything. I'm just playing little flash games like Adventure Quest, and zOMG, but it's irritating.

What is the solution?

Go step by step and test.
1. System Preferences > Other/ Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button
     Install Adobe Flash Player.

    Follow the prompts.
    Quit Safari.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Enable Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
    Enable it.
    Press " Manage Website Settings" button for more options.
3. Check whether you are currently in YouTube HTML 5 trial.

    At the bottom left of the page uncheck the box beside
   "You are currently in the HTML5 trial".
4. Reset Safari.
    Click Safari in the menu bar.
    From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
    Uncheck the boxes beside all items.
    Check the box beside "Remove all website data".
    Click "Reset".
5. Turn off Extensions, if any.
    Safari > Preferences > Extensions
     Now try YouTube.

Black Screen when trying to view videos that use Flash Player

Hi all,
Sometimes when I'm trying to view videos on Youtube or BBC iPlayer, which use Flash Player, I'll click play and after around 2-3seconds of the video playing, my screen will go black/dark blue and the audio will stop. I'm then forced to hard reset my computer as no keyboard shortcuts work. This is starting to annoy me. Any help would be appreciated.
I have the latest Catalyst, 12.1, the latest Chipset and BIOS. I have even tried re-installing Windows to no avail. I have also tried uninstalling Adobe Flash Player using your official uninstaller and then re-installing and yet I still get this problem.

Your video card should be fine for GPU acceleration, but to rule this out can you try disabling hardware acceleration to see if that helps?

The new version of fire fox keeps crashing my entire computer if i pull down the scroll bar to fast and when using sites that use flash player my other browsers work fine its only started happening since it updated to 3.6.10

There has been a security update of the Flash Player and the current version is 10.1 r85 , so you are two versions behind (previous was 10.1 r82).

On certain websites, my own, that use flash the pages do not work if you use the back button in the browser. They have to be refreshed before any of the links will work again. Very frustrating.

When I am browsing my own sites (2 of them) which are built in Flash, everything is fine following the links on the pages. But if I hit the back button in the browser, the pages freeze up and none of the links work anymore. If I refresh the page, then the links work fine.
This does not happen on Safari as after pressing the browser back button, all is well.

Dear jscher2000, thank you for your response! I'm running 16.01 version, so the 3.6.20 version isn't the correct one. I've updated it yesterday.
I also have to mention that today everything seems to work just fine! :) I don't experience the problems anymore and all links work again just normally, eventhough I'm logged into Facebook account. Maybe it was just a temporary bug.
I couldn't say what was the reason to that solution, but I'm glad there aren't problems anymore with Mozilla.

None of the flash games will work on FF, I have even uninstalled FF and reinstalled it, I have disabled QuickTime, I have uninstalled Adobe flash and reinstalled it and still NOTHING! Flash works fine on Seamonkey though

Check that plugin scanning is turned on (it should be by default). If it is turned off Firefox will not search the Windows registry for details of plugins that it can use.

If it was set to false, re-start Firefox to see if the Flash plugin is now available.
Also make sure that you have installed the version of Flash used by Firefox. You should have it because SeaMonkey is using it, but if the Flash plugin is in SeaMonkey's own plugins folder Firefox may not be able to see it.
Download the latest plugin from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/completion/?installer=Flash_Player_10.2_for_Windows_-_Other_Browsers and run it to install the version of Flash used by Firefox, this will install it in the default location so that Firefox should be able to find it.

I can play games that use Flash in Firefox 11, but I can't watch any YouTube videos at all. Why?

For some reason, YouTube videos won't play on Firefox. I have the latest Firefox browser (11.0) and the latest Flash player (11.2.202.228). I'm also on Windows 7 if that matters at all. What's weird is it just stopped working literally minutes after my sister watched the last YouTube video that worked.
Now when I go to YouTube on any computer with Firefox, when I go to a video there's just a black box and when I right click it it says "Movie not loaded..." and none of the video thumbnails are visible either.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

New to Flash, stuck in a menu/pre-loader tutorial that uses Flash 8 code :-/

I'm slowly working my way into Flash, with my only previous computer language experience being with html. I found and spent the better part of today working through the following tutorial:

Unfortunately, when I got to the section where one actually pastes in the Actionscript (step 86), I got a laundry list of errors. Some of them were based on classes that had been changed/removed/renamed for CS4, others for more nebulous (to me) reasons.
I lack the experience to adjust the code to get my tutorial file to work, and at this point I am extremely frustrated that the hours I spent carefully working through this have largely been wasted because CS4 lacks legacy Flash support? Or at least I'm too stupid to find it.

This is the wrong forum for the code you are working with, you should be posting in the AS2 forum. Flash CS4 is capable of working with all previous versions of Flash files. What you need to do is to change your Publish Settings so that you are utilizing the AS2 compiler, and not the AS3 compiler, which is the likely reason for the layndry list. To change the settings...
Select File -> Publish Settings -> Flash (tab) -> Actionscript 2 (drop list)

I have an issue with my mac book pro, where whenever i run certain programs that uses flash player or run more than one app for a period of time it shuts down and gives me an error report

The latest version of flash player is installed and yet none of the programs that use it can find or access it. I am running Windows 7. Is there anything in the Registry that could be blocking flash player from being accessed or used?

The subject is the question. Files with flv extensions cannot be run or identified. Other software that uses flash player such as Rhapsody, can't find or use it either. It feels like a registry problem. Please do not waste time suggesting I uninstall and reinstall flash player as I have done than several times with no improvement or solution.

Flash Player is a plugin, and typically used by browsers (and sometimes other software.) Flash, by itself, won't open flv files. Instead you'd load those files into your web browser and it would load Flash to render them.
I don't know if Rhapsody uses the ActiveX or NPAPI versions of Flash Player. Which do you have installed? You can check this by going into the Programs and Features control panel and looking for the Adobe Flash Player entry(s). It'll say NPAPI, PPAPI, or ActiveX at the end.
