Browser with spoofed user agent?

Hi, Does anybody know any -GOOD- mobile internet browser that can allow spoofing the user agent? I hate it when sites redirect to their mobile version based on the user agent of the web browser someone is using.
I know that Opera Mobile allows spoofing the user agent, but on many websites I am still being redirected to the mobile version.
I just want the full non-mobile version of the website, FFS.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hm, nevermind, I think I have resolved the issue with Skyfire.

  • Does this version of Firefox include web browsing at the "User Agent" category or higher?

I just downloaded Firefox 5.0.1. for Mac because I have to fill something out on a website that requires that I have Firefox 2.0.0.12 Mac with web browsing capability at the "User Agent" category or higher for Firefox.
Do I have that with what I just downloaded? Need to know ASAP.
    Thanks!

Firefox 5.0.1 '''is''' higher than Firefox 2.0.0.12.
The '''UserAgent''' is a string of data which a web browser sends to each website to tell them which version of which web browser for user is using.

  • KCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 1 with  Safari "user agents"

I am trying to use the different "user agents" to test a web page with Safari in "Developer" mote but I get the above error.   I even get it with the following:
    <head>
    <meta charset="UTF-8" />
    </head>
    <body>
    Hello World.
    </body>

The different user agents seemed to work with an earlier version of my site but not anymore.  What is broken?

  • Sleipnir browser - Changing the user agent?

I have read that Sleipnir browser allows you to set the user agent, but I am looking under the options menu and I couldn't locate where this could be done.
How does one change the user agent in Sleipnir browser?

I contacted the developer and they said this this function is now unavailable due to changes in the recent iPhone OS.
Is this true for all browsers that had user-agent switching capability? Are there other browsers that still have user-agent switching as an option?

  • Firefox3 User-Agent spoofing

Aka "How to use an online banking website by fooling them into using an unsupported browser".
Natwest check the User-Agent string of the browser, and block ones they dislike.
So, enter about:config in the firefox3 URL line, right-click on the list that appears, click on "New - String", enter general.useragent.override and for the string, enter one of the following common user agents:
    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080213 Firefox/2.0.0.12
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.30)
    Then check the result.
This method works with firefox 3.0b3-3.
Edit: Modify Headers does the same thing and works with firefox3, but is not necessary.

Thanks, I've altered the first post to use that instead
CNN seems OK with a spoofed user agent.

  • User Agent in FireFox works but not Safari

I am trying to log into whstuart.com/clients but it says it requires Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. This is the only every day task that I can't perform on Safari and would like to not have to use multiple browsers every day. I have been able to log in using FireFox with the User Agent switched to Internet Explorer 7 Windows Vista (downloaded settings from site in User Agent Switcher). I tried using Safari and switching to all the IE user agents but it will not get past the error message. I have tried editing the UserAgents.plist that is in Safari (show package contents) but haven't found anything that works. Any other suggestions?

    Hi
If you have the develop menu enabled - you can disable javascript very quickly, or even assign a keyboard shortcut to it - that will get you past the browser test & display the login form - so just maybe... that's the only place they test, and you can re-enable js afterwards?

  • User agent and Referer

    Hi all!
I'm using some PHP-Scripts via HTTPService in my
    AIR-Application.
At the moment the AIR-App sends - like a browser -
information about user agent and referer, like:
    "app:/MyApp.swf" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; de-DE)
    AppleWebKit/523+ (KHTML, like Gecko) AdobeAIR/1.1"
I'm planning to use these values in my PHP-Script to restrict
the access to some scripts only to calls from AIR.
How reliable are these information? Is it possible to
deactivate or change these values on the client side?
For example, in some browser you can deactivate the option to
send a referer - is this possible in Air too?
Sure, the other way round isn't very safe: a browser can
imitate the referer and user agent and my script then thinks the
client is an Air app. But it's a bit more security.
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards!

I have a problem in that when I embed a certain swf on an Air
html page, the http-referer that is sent by the Air runtime (or the
underlying WebKit impl?) when requesting that swf is of the form
app://mypage.html. The particular site serving the object/swf does
not seem to like that referer pattern and sends me back an error
swf rather than the object I requested.
I've been able to verify this by:
    1) replaying the offending request in Firefox with the
referer header as it would be sent from Air, which results in the
same failed request (i.e. getting error.swf)
    2) stripping the referer header altogether and replaying in
Firefox in which case the intended swf is served to me
The site serving the request doesn't seem to be picky about
what sites are linking to it based on referer (else a no referer
header request would be rejected), it just doesn't seem to like the
Air referer header that is being sent.
My question: Can I suppress/modify the referer header in the
Air runtime? Or at least modify it? This is not an API constructed
URL request but a resource request from an HTML object/embed, so I
can't touch the headers explicitly while formulating the request.
I'm assuming it would be a setting somewhere or a static var that
could be set in the AIR API/runtime. If not, could this mod be
    requested?

  • Is there a way to change my user agent from Safari to Internet Explorer?

    Hello All,
I need to fill out a application on line and it appears that it does not recognize Safari.  Sounds like it needs to see IE.  Anyway to temporarily enable IE for this application?  Otherwise I have to go use a PC at the local library....
These instructions below in no way match my Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on my iMac - they don't make sense to me.  Any help/guidance is appreciated to fill out this on-line form.  Thanks!
    Apple Safari
If using Safari, you must have Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher version or Firefox 2.0.0.12 - Macversion web browser at the "User Agent" category or higher for Firefox. Use the following instructions to configure your Safari browser to access e-QIP.
    On the Menu Bar
Select Edit box (top of screen)
    Preferences
    Security
Accept Cookies (only from site that you navigate to)
    Advanced
Check the box labeled "Show Develop Menu in Menu Bar"
Click proxies - Change settings box (Opens to Internet Explorer (IE) Properties Boxes)
    Advanced tab
Security category is located near bottom of page
Click "Do not save encrypted pages to disk"
Click "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed"
    Click/enable SSL 2.0
    SSL 3.0
    TLS.1
    Exit Preferences Window
On Menu Bar select "Develop User Agent"

    John..
This may work but no guarantees ..
Launch Safari. From the Safari menu bar top of your screen click Safari. From the drop down menu click Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select:  Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now from the Safari menu bar again, click Develop > User Agent
    Try IE 7, 8, or 9.

  • To solve another problem, I need to reset my user agent. But when I type about:config in the address bar, all I get is a Firefox window that has the text "config" on the page and nothing else. No text or fields or ANYTHING. What can i do short of unins

    Firefox 3.6.3
    Windows XP
    Otherwise browses OK.

  • User Agent (DC 5.3, Agent 2.2)

Having problems with the user agent/AD integration.  I have installed the user agent on a Windows 2008 box, it seems to be communicating with the DC servers fine.  When going from the agent to the DC is where it seems the problem is.  I added the IP on the DC, added the DC on the agent...get nothing.  I can telnet to port 3306 on the DC from the user agent machine fine and get the Got packets out of order message like is said in the troubleshooting guide.
Any suggestions?  I turned on debugging and logging on the agent and there are no errors listed and it says start DC chk, end DC chk...

    Hi ,
Not sure if this helps but there is a known bug with v2.2.18 of the UA software which doesn't populate events unless the Date format is set to US Locale on the Domain Controller. I've seen it where events aren't logged at all, or events are generated but only on the first 12 days of the month (I assume theres an issue with the logic on the parser for the logs, once you hit the 13th it bugs out - UK Locale anyway, depends on your date format)
    Info here:
If you use the dd/mm/yyyy date format on your Microsoft Active Directory (AD) server, the system sets the Active Directory server status to pending and fails to generate events. As a workaround, use the mm/dd/yyyy format on your AD server. (137315)
Other common issues are as you have correctly stated. Ensure the relevant Windows EventIDs for logon/logoff events are generated in the Windows security event logs.
Also if the agent and DC/FSM are seperated by a NAT device, you need 2 entries in the User Agents section on the DC/FSM. One for the Pre-NAT address and one for the Post-NAT Address.
    Thanks,

  • Creative Cloud User Agent String spoofing old Chrome Browser?

Was troubleshooting Creative Cloud not working on our network and noticed it is spoofing an old Chrome browser User Agent String.
When Creative Cloud launches it presents itself as: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.22 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/25.0.1364.68 Safari/537.22
This is the user agent string of Google Chrome version 25 (Chrome is currently at version 32)
Looking for any information on why Creative Cloud is using an old Chrome user agent string, and why can't it use a unique user agent?

    Hello,
We're currently on JDeveloper 10.1.3.4.0.4270. We just release a new version of our web app into production. This is an internal web application. application server is weblogic 10. The weblogic log is showing alot of these warning messages. I tried search on this forum and in google but unable to find any information. I really appreciate if anyone has any idea what could be causing these warning. Our users are constantly getting sent back to the login page to to user sessions lost.

  • User Agent of Mozilla 1.7 bundled with JDS

The User Agent String of Mozilla bundled with JDS is as follows ...
    User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20070606
Is this String as per the spec ? Should'nt it have a version string at the end ? Like ...
    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20061228 Firefox/2.0.0.1
Absence of this version string is causing certain applications to fail to load properly,
because certain browser detection scripts fail to recognize the Mozilla in JDS as a
    valid browser.

    But Mozilla 1.7 isn't Firefox, it's Mozilla !
It thus seems to me that it's reporting itself correctly.
If you want a browser that you're more comfortable with, go and install one.
For example, Mozilla.Org has the current iteration of that Mozilla suite under its current name of SeaMonkey...
[Sea Monkey Suite for Solaris 10, at Mozilla.Org|http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/releases/1.1.9/contrib/seamonkey-1.1.9.en-US.solaris2.10-sparc.tar.bz2|Sea Monkey suite at Mozilla.Org]
You can find their README [on their site|http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/|on their site], as well.
