Neither of my browsers seem to work anymore on my iPad

OK ... I give.... What happens when you launch one of your browsers? We need SOME information from you in order to try to offer help.

  • Third party browsers aren't working on my C2-00.

    Can you please tell whats the reason behind C2-00's reluctance to load thirdparty browsers? Such browsers are indicated with a symbol of a key on it's icon when it appears in the application list.

    try uninstalling then reinstalling from http://download.browser.ovi.com otherwise there is nothing that can be done about this as support has ended years ago

    I don't fully understand what the System Reset does but I've found that it cures many ills.  It's easy, quick and harmless:
    Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.
    A System Reset does not remove any apps, music, movies, etc. nor does it cause any settings to revert back to default.
    Also, you might wish to download the iPad-2 User Guide.  Pay special attention to page 162.  Note that this Guide also applies to the iPad-1 with IOS 4.3 except for those functions that are not supported by the hardware.

    Finally,  the User Guide can be downloaded at no charge via iBooks and a less comprehensive version of the Guide is included as a Safari bookmark.

  • My sound effects aren't working, how do I get them to work again?

    On my iPad my sounds effects aren't working and it's on loud. I've been into music but it won't let me change the volume. It's just dark grey and won't let me touch it. Also the volume control on the side when I put it onto loud the sound effect pops up in the grey box but doesn't let me change the volume there either... I've also been through the settings and cannot find anything or anywhere where it will let me change the volume manually or invade it had been turned off by accident. I can't listen to music or hear when it goes off!!!
    PLEASE HELP!

    We have a site in ASP.Net 2008 which is running on browsers and devices. There is an option to export to excel and file uploadd, It is working in the browsers but not working in Devices like IPad and Iphone. we are creating xml file when export to excel. We have tried it on IPad1,IPad3 and iphone3.
    can you please elaborate the causes of these issues? Pleas support to fix the issues.

    Sign out of iMessage
    Reset your phone -  no data loss is involved Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
    Then sign back into iMessage
    Also open a video in YouTube (playing a video in Safari in YouTube will do if you do not have the app) - check the ringer to see the volume level
    Make sure Do not Disturb is not turned on, on your phone

  • TS4268 My iMessages aren't working

    My iMessages aren't working..iMessages are turned on but it won't send as an iMessage. I've turned my phone off n back on and still nothing. What's up with this phone?

    I've been having an issue since last night. I sent a message to my girlfriend @ 8:11pm MT and never heard back. This morning, I checked my phone when I awoke and saw no messages, had 1% battery life and shortly thereafter, my phone died.
    After a few minutes on the charger, it came back up. In the meantime, we were messaging back and forth, this time I was on my iPad and had no problems. She said she texted 5 times last night but I never received a single one of them on my phone, iPad or Mac.
    When my phone came back up, I checked Messages to see if something was wrong and my # was grayed out and unselectable. So I disabled iMessage, waited a few minutes and re-enabled it. It would not accept my Apple ID credentials. I thought something was wrong so I went in and changed my password on the website. I had to log back into iCloud and iTunes and had no issues with either. iMessage kept saying the username or password was incorrect. So I created a NEW Apple ID using a different email adrdess right on my phone and attempted to login...no dice. Same crap.
    So I turned iMessage off for about 3 hours, just re-enabled it AGAIN and it's the same crap. I'm so fed up with this. iMessage is a complete pain already trying to get it syncing across 3 devices but now? This is a total joke.

  • Handoff not working between iPad and iPhone

    i have installed ios 8 on both my iPhone 5 & iPad 4th generation. They are both on the same wifi network & both have Bluetooth switched on. In settings I have made sure hand off is switched on.
    I can make a regular call on my iPad but that's where the continuity seems to end. I don't see a button to open Safari on the lockscreen when it is in use on another device, I cant pass a half written email from one device to another, or see Pages documents etc. I'm at a loss.

    I know it can be frustrating sometimes when things aren't working well but I must say  I think you are being a bit unfair. At the end of the day Apple are a business not a charity. I'm sure they love being able to survive being the company for rich people.

    The two year old computer you have works fine, you don't have to update anything. You survived without the "Killer app" prior to it's release.
    Also they have released a brand new operating system that they will give you FREE OF CHARGE that is backwards compatible to the iPhone 4s. Thant's a pretty good effort considering they could quite easily not bother.
    Complaining that a phone company is just "another money hungry capitalist maw" and that "EVERYTHING THEY DO is designed to make you keep spending more and more money" seems a bit naïve. It's like complaining that politicians are only interested in getting votes. It's what they do.
    I'm not trying to start an online fight. It just seems like a waste of energy getting angry about a tech company. Why not switch to another make of phone. Life's too short to be getting angry about stuff like this.

    There is almost no chance it can be recovered, except at a cost far greater than a new keyboard.  Once wet, spraying with a cleaner will not do any good and most likely will make the situation worse.
    Best thing at this point is go to your Apple store, or the on-line store, and buy a new keyboard.  Water damage is not covered by the warranty or AppleCare.

    I tried this and still have the same problems. If I open Address book or the Mac App Store I get the library rebuild popup and a hang. I created a fresh user and then things are better apart from the printing issue. Its clearly some 3rd party software issue but the crash logs are meningless to me. I used the excellent Etre check app from http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck so I have a list of what is being loaded and can compare clean and crashed user info but as I cant work out which of the startup items, launch agents, launch daemons etc that  are causing the problem.
    I have eliminated Dropbox, Mac Keeper and Witness, and it isnt related to my exterrnal LED cinema dispay or my external thunderbolt drives, or any USB devices if thats any help to anyone else. Info from Etrecheck follows -

    Bluetooth and USB ports aren't working, so am unable to use Imac past turning it on. There's no way to connect mouse or keyboard, it started right after a software update for Maverick (OS X bash Update 1.0 – OS X Mavericks), bluetooth symbol not showing in the task bar at all.

    The symptom you're describing can be frustrating to troubleshoot as our options are limited. I do suggest resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) if you have not already. This step can help you regain use of USB and Bluetooth.
    Follow these steps to reset the SMC on your iMac:
    Resetting the SMC for Mac Pro, Intel-based iMac, Intel-based Mac mini, or Intel-based Xserve
    Shut down the computer. [by holding down the power button]
    Unplug the computer's power cord.
    Wait fifteen seconds.
    Attach the computer's power cord.
    Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.

    Is there an iPhone involved ?
    If not, what happens  if you remove the Apple ID on the iPad and then set it in Airplane Mode (allow a couple of minutes at this point) followed by re-adding the Apple ID ?
    What, if any error messages are appearing on the Mac when you try to launch the App or Login to the iMessages server ?
    Is the Apple ID linked to an iCloud account ?
    In Messages 7 (Mountain Lion) this did not seem to be important but it seems it is in Mavericks/Messages 8
