Browsers greyed out in Preview in Browser

I'm using DW 8.0.2. I have the following browsers installed:
- IE7
- Firefox 2
- Mozilla 1.7
- Safari 3.0.2
- Opera 9.1
In Preview in Browser (either from the File menu or the tool
bar), all but
Firefox (& the option to edit the list) are greyed out. I
have IE set as
primary, and can preview using that by hitting F12. Safari is
set as
Secondary, and Ctrl-F12 works for that. But the only one I
can actually
click on in the list is Firefox. I can't preview with Mozilla
or Opera at
all.
I'm running Vista Ultimate. They all worked fine on my XP
machine (except
Safari which wasn't installed). Any suggestions?

I checked that on all of them - they are still greyed out.
And like I say,
both IE & Opera work with the shortcut keys - I just
can't click on them (or
the others) in the list.

We have a scenario where in users are sending the PO details to vendors even before the po is released which is a big problem. IF we go to ME9F & give the PO number which is not released completely, then NO suitable PO documents found like that we get message & hence there is no problem from ME9F. if users are using the printscreen option and sending it to the vendor,
then you should eliminate the use of the "print preview' button in all the relevant transactions,
you can use Transaction Variant functionality to deactivate the Print preview option,

Loops greyed out in loop browser

Can any one tell me how to make some greyed out loops in the loop browser play?
The loops in question are in the following location on the HD:
H/D / LIB / AUDIO / APPLE LOOPS / APPLE / APPLE LOOPS FOR GARAGE BAND.
About 15% of these loops are greyed out in the loop browser and will not play. They play fine in QT if you select them from the apple loops folder.
If I drag them into the loop browser then they appear in black above the grey version and WILL play!

Have Added Soundtrack Pro Loops. Now Need To Delete Greyed Out Duplicates?

As you know, only half the loops come on the DVD and the rest have to be downloaded.
The downloadable loops appear greyed out in the Loops Browser until you download them.
I have added my Soundtrack Pro loops to the Loops Browser so now every downloadable loop is duplicated.
One is playable (the STP one) whilst the other is greyed out.
Is there any way of deleting the greyed out names?

Has anyone experience a problem with not being able to add a drumbeat loop to a prerecorded project? When I open the loop browser, there are only a few options available. The rest are greyed out. I can only choose individual drum sounds, not full beats

I have created a project and recorded 2 tracks, one with a guitar and the other vocals. I would like to add a drum loop, but when I pull up the loop browser, all of the normal selections aren't available. Some are greyed out, including "Beats". "All Drums" is available, but when I click on it it pulls up some cymbal sounds only. I've opened some old recordings in GB to see if this is a consistent issue, but it's not. Only this one project won't allow me to use drum loops. Which leads me to believe there is something I have selected or not selected within the project that's not allowing me to see all the loops. Any help would be much appreciated.

When I open a second Firefox browser window, the URL address window, instead of showing the URL, says "Go to a Web Site;" also, and more importantly, the "back" button is greyed out. This is a new problem, and the first Firefox window I open works fine.

After I open the first Firefox browser window, any additional window I open does not open my homepage, but opens a blank page with "New Tab" showing on the tab. An orange "Firefox" tab with a drop down arrow shows at the upper left hand corner of the screen. All of the options (File, Edit, etc.) are greyed out, however they will work if you move your cursor over them.
The URL address window says "Go to a Web Site". After I've gone to a website, the back button remains greyed out and I am not able to go back to a previous page. My RoboForm and Netcraft toolbars only show up in an abbreviate form. The add-on bar doesn't show up at all.
Again, this is a recent problem, and only happens after I've opened one browser window (which works fine) and then open additional browser windows (as few as one additional).

I had this same problem. Seems to be caused by the web developer tool bar FF extension (this started happening after a recent update to that extension). After disabling it, my FF is back to normal :)

Why is my preview area showing only greyed out boxes instead of photos?

I am unable to import my photos so they can be seen. Whether I try to import them from the hard drive, camera card, or my desktop (following the tutorial), I do not see photographs in the preview area, only greyed out boxes instead of photos. If I imported 6 photos, I have six greyed out (photo-sized) boxes. The specific photos are there somehow, becuase they are properly named when I scroll the mouse over them, but I see only flat grey, no pictures. As I said, this happens even when I follow the tutorial and import from my desktop.

I appreciate you responding to my inquiry. We (that would be the "royal" we, which would be my husband) finally determined that the monitor was not configured properly. "We" discovered this out after uninstalling and reinstalling Lightroom several times.
To answer your question, I was trying to import both photos taken in JPEG, as well as RAW, both were problematic. I could import no images. It was interesting that I could tell all of the data was coming over (when I floated the cursor over a grayed-out box I could read the data), just not the images.
I have a Nikon D5100. I purchased Lightroom 5.0 just before now(two days ago), and was trying to install and play with it. I upgraded to 5.2 as I was going into it for the first time (it is an automatic question). I knew there was obviously a problem when I couldn't see any images. Particularly when I went into the tutorials -- it just reemphasized that something was wrong. Who ever thinks of how their monitor is configured?????

Why is the column browser greyed out when viewing iPod music?

I can not display the "column browser" for my iPod Touch, like I can for my iTunes Music Library (iTunes for Windows)
To confirm we're on the same page: the column browser is the specific display/view with "Artists" and "Albums" filters (and optionally 'Genres" , "Composers" and a few other not-so-useful options) in Columns at the top of the screen: selecting different combinations allows you to easily filter the "results" panel below, which displays all the individual songs that match those filters.
I have seen other questions on how to display the column browser, which relate more to the iTunes Library Music, opposed to the iPod touch music. (FYI the fix for the Library is to click "songs" and then the option for column browsing is available in "View/Column Browser/Show Column Browser")
If i display the sidebar, and select 'Music' under my iPod Touch, it just displays ALL songs. The option for "show column browser" is greyed out and not selectable. If i hige the sidebar, and click "Music" in the top left column under the name of my iPod, i get the same view. If i click "Music" from the big centered bar at the top of iTunes (but below the standard File/Edit menubar) this just shows my Sync options...
So question is: How do I display the column browser for my iPod music?
If i can't, question is: Why did you hide this feature and can you please bring it back?
And a general comment: Please let the brilliant Jony Ive loose on the iTunes design ASAP: it desperately needs a designer's eye to make this interface more intuitive. There are about 5 incongruous button/menu themes utilised at different places, and none of them are particularly well thought out. I'm a student of the school of thought where you can (if needed) utilise a few different interface design styles on one application to suit different users and different scenarious: but they need a talented designer to harmonise. The current iTunes is like years of changes piled on top of each other with no clear direction. Not an enjoyable experience!

All outputs from the SCXI module are measured in differential mode. You can still mix differential and single ended measurements (if you use the remaining channels of your daq board).
The easiest way to mix modes is with virtual channels. All SCXI analog input channels will be differential, while you can make other virtual channels differential or single ended. If you don't want to use virtual channels, you can use AI Hardware Config in LabVIEW to change the mode.

When I turn off private browsing and refresh the page, everything works again.
Anyone else having this problem?

I have got the same behaviour after the last Safari Update to 5.1.3. It seems that Safari now handles some scripts in a new way. If you debug the Google Website, you will see, that there is some Javascript Error, that seems to prevent to write into local cache. After some searching I wasn't able to finde a solution for this problem, other then disabling Javascript while private browsing to prevent the script loading. You then are able to use Google with the old layout. The option to disable JavaScript can be found in the Menu "Developer", wich has to be enabled in Safari in the options first.
In my opinion this is a bug that is now occuring, because Apple changed something in private browsing and that has to be fixed by Google now, to run again. Or we will have to wait for 5.1.4, as you can read online Apple will change and bugfix the javascript engine in that version, perhaps this fixes the problem as well. I hope so!
If anyone is in the developer program perhaps you could test this with the beta of 5.1.4 and tell us if it works.

Preview in browser is not working in Bridge CS6. There also does not seem to be an option to change browsers.

There is no preview option within Bridge which is a bit frustrating, but I at least have the "preview in browser" options. Except, when I hit "preview in browser", my browser opens but it just opens to the current window open - I am not getting a preview at all. The only way I can seem to preview is to save the file, then open it in the browser - but this way I cannot play with the various settings and I am finding it very frustrating.

And added the permisson Users ([machine_name]\Users). But that did not seem to help. I do not have exactly the ones you suggested. Is it these that you are talking about?

Did you transfer a Quicktime movie files from the Mac Pro to your iMac? If so make sure the video plays correctly in Quicktime Player. If it does you can put it in your Movies folder and from there drag it into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones. It doesn't have to come from iMovie. You can just drag and drop into iDVD.

Adobe Reader X - Display PDF in Browser Option is Greyed out

Looking for a registry fix to unlock the Display PDF in Browser option. Not sure how it is greyed out to begin with. My MST file was not set to Lock anything. Please help. I cannot find anything anywhere of use to "ungrey" this option.
It seems to happen when Acrobat is installed.
How can I fix and how can I prevent in future releases??
