Browsers, some apps keep quitting on Droid Incredible. Ideas before I reset phone?

In the last month or so, my Droid Incredible has developed a really annoying problem. My full-featured web browsers (including Dolphin HD, and the stock "internet") won't run. They quit seconds after launched.
Is anyone else seeing this problem? Know what's causing it? I know app conflicts can be very user-specific, but ya never know...
Opera Mini runs reliably, and Dolphin mini runs sometimes (but quits more often than it runs). So I am able to browse the web. But Opera Mini doesn't support "share page" functionality (via e-mail, bookmarklets, etc.), which is something I rely on heavily and am no longer willing to do without on a phone I'm paying $110/month for.
In addition, some apps I really like (including AppBrain and Shazam) also are quitting seconds after launch.
I've uninstalled all apps that I'm not using. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Dolphin HD and Mini, as well as the other apps that have ceased running. I've done the battery pull twice, and have also cleared the cache on most of my apps. I deleted a bunch of media files to free up space. No dice.
I'm at the point where I'm going to have to start uninstalling the apps that I'm using. I'm very reluctant to do this, since I just had to go through this tedious exercise a couple of months ago to correct a different problem. And if it is an app conflict, then I'm wondering whether backing up the apps to the SD card, resetting the phone, and restoring them would solve the problem. I mean, if I'm restoring the same apps, wouldn't it be likely that I'd have the same conflict problem?
My phone is not rooted, and I don't want to root it.
Can anyone suggest something else I might do short of uninstalling all my apps and doing a factory reset to try to fix this problem?
Thanks.

I have the same exact problem, I pretty much can't even use my internet function with this phone. it always freezes and quits in the middle of anything. I'm kind of thinking it's a glitch with this phone unfortunately, I have a few friends who also have the same bad droid luck with the internet or any applications running properly. I'm wondering if a few of the phones just need to be re-called with the Droid HTC Incredible model. I'm paying for the internet service and wish I was just back to my simple LG phone with the 39.99 a month bill, that's about the quality of service I'm getting.
I wish I had better information for you, but I guess you can just re-set and delete all your applications over and over again like Verizon suggests. I'm tired and don't want to even bother at this point.  I want my money back for the internet service I don't get, very bummed indeed...

Disconnect all peripherals from your computer. Boot from your install disc & run _*Repair Disk*_ from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
    Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
    Select *Disk Utility.*
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click *First Aid.*
    Click _*Repair Disk.*_
    Restart your computer when done.
Repair permissions after you reach the desktop-http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25751 and restart your computer.

  • Apps keep quitting

Apps keep quitting or will not launch. Are developers taking shortcuts that work on newer more powerful pads? Apps and games worked fine until last few updates. Do I need to do a full reset of the pad or is it hopeless and I need a new one already?

My audio apps keep playing in the background after I answer a phone call. How do I turn this off?

    Hello BobWeaver,
It sounds like we need to troubleshoot the software on your device as that is not expected behavior.
I would perform steps 1, 3 and 5 from the iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant found here http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone/. If you get to step 3, then I suggest closing all the apps. Here is step 1 to get you started:
    Restart iPhone
To restart iPhone, first turn iPhone off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider and iPhone will turn off after a few moments.
Next, turn iPhone on by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Is iPhone not responding? To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If your device does not turn on or displays a red battery icon, try recharging next.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • Some apps keep crashing permanently

    Hello!
I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 7 installed
Some apps (PvZ2, FIFA14, Asphalt 8 etc) keep crashing on startup
Tried reinstalling apps, reinstalling firmware - nothing worked
Couldnt find any solutions in the web. I ve written a message to the PopCap support, but as it happens not only to their app, it seems like they won't be able to help

Got the instruction how to fix the PvZ2
Hello from Crazy Dave and friends!
I'm sorry you've had trouble with Plants vs. Zombies 2!  We have a suggestion that should resolve the issue.
Open the game, then on the main menu page, tap the 'Wrench' icon and tap 'Sharing Usage Data'.  If this is Enabled, tap the check box next to Disable Usage Sharing.
Now force close your app and reset your device with the following steps:
    1. From the Home screen, double-click the Home button to display recently used apps.
    2. Tap and hold the app until a red minus appears. Tap the red minus to quit the app.
    3. Tap on the Home screen, above, to return.
    4. Restart your device by holding the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.  Move your finger along the slider to turn the device OFF.  To turn the device back on press and hold the Sleep/Wake button.
    5. Reset your device by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake and the Home buttons for more than 10 seconds.  Do not release the buttons until the Apple Logo appears.
After your device loads, you should now be able to play PvZ2 with no trouble!
Thanks for playing Plants vs. Zombies 2!

  • Some apps keep reinstalling into iPhone

My iTunes keeps resinstalling applications that are not checked into my iPhone.
Some apps that are not installed behave correctly and don't install into my iPhone, some others, keep getting back.
It looks like it's totally random. When I connect my iPhone and go to the "Application" tab, sometime, they're not checked, sometime, they become checked.
Is there a way to fix this and have iTunes really remember which apps are not to be installed when synchronizing?
    Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
    iTunes 9.1
    iPhones 3GS 3.1.3
    Thanks for any help.

I have a similar issue, except in my case, iTunes wants to reinstall apps that are already resident on my iPhone. Every time I sync, iTunes reinstalls them back onto the phone even though they are already there.

  • Why some apps say "quit unexpectedly" after I upgraded OX

I upgraded my OX to 10.8.2 few days ago. After that I couldnt use some apps. it says "quit unexpectedly". However, surprisingly this problem was gone for a short period today. Then after I shut it off and turn ot on again, this issue comes back and still remain until now. What's wrong with my mac and how to solve this?
P.S. I have tried to unistall and reinstall many times, reboots, and everything I can think of.

I'm not familiar with LINE, and there is no clear statement that it is 10.8.2 compatible.
    The only thing they say:
This could be an indication that they're okay with ML, or not... where you seem to be living proof that it is not...
By the way, the "hint" they are giving here should not be followed! This would open your Mac for any 3rd-party app even from non-approved app developers without you being able to review and confirm!

  • My iMessage app keeps quitting whenever I open it

I have an iPod Touch 4th Generation.
Today I tried to get into my iMessage app to check my messages, and it just keeps quitting. All the time. I've been trying for about an hour, and it just wouldn't open. Any suggestion, resolutions?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Go to Settings>Messages>Send and Receive and sing out and sing back in. Note that all messages currently on the iPod will be deleted.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • App keeps quitting when I move my files.

I have several folders in my Adobe Reader app to keep files organised. After the latest update, whenever I try to move a new file into an existing folder, the app suddenly quits without any error message. May Adobe please fix this as soon as possible? My reader is now becoming more and more messy.

    Hi,
Sorry for the inconvinience caused due to move bug. We have fixed the issue and are waiting for apple to review/approve it.

would appreciate help with these issues :-)

However after part of the Itune update completed a message came up on the screen
saying   "The feature you are trying to use is on a net work resource that is unavailable.

  • Some apps constantly 'quit unexpectedly' upon opening them.

Some of my applications on my Macbook Pro (version 10.7.5) refuse to open. When I click on them, they instantly say, 'quit unexpectedly'. Restarted obviously, works on safe boot but would prefer if were working normally.
These apps are all of the microsoft office related ones (word, powerpoint, excel), google chrome, and skype. I do note that all of these are not naturally found on a mac, perhaps this is the problem?
    Thanks!
