Browsing Nokia store with other browsers

recenlty i found it more handy and really fast when i brows Nokia store with Opera mini. But when i want to download the App i found there, the download link doesnt work. There are 2 liknks there. One saying download via pc and the other dowoload on mobile; and since i am using my phone, i tried the "download on mobile" link several times. But all what happens is that the page reloads and nothing else. Why is that pls?

Seems like you're using the Full PC version of Nokia Store (http://store.ovi.com ) which only allows dowloading of apps using Nokia Suite and the send to mobile is not for s40 phones.
If you want to use it on your mobile, you should try the version optimized for your mobile i.e. http://store.ovi.mobi/

Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4 and later.
You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the about:config page.

Proxy Server asking for username and password almost 6 times for every page I load, but the same doesn't happen with other browsers like chrome

The same question keeps popping up again and again "The proxy moz-proxy://proxy.iitm.ac.in:3128 is requesting a username and password. The site says: "moz-proxy://proxy.iitm.ac.in:3128""
Even after i give the right details, it asks me like 5 more times before it completely loads the page. Some times it happens only 2 times.
With other browsers like chrome, it asks only in the beginning. it doesn't occur after that.
This started occurring only recently. i upgraded to firefox 9.0 and it functioned properly for more than 12 hours before it started occuring. i tried downgrading back to 8.0.1 but the problem still continued.

i'm afraid i need to use proxy settings to connect to internet. The settings are all fine because it used to work properly all this time. i specify the proxy address and the port, which is correct, i am very confident. it is so because the page actually loads on firefox, but not before it asks for my user name and password for it a lot of times, and for every page. for other browsers, it asks only in the beginning, that is, when i start the browser.

These "streaks" appear to be area of too high frequency scanning; they can be cleared by scrolling up and/or down.

Can't click on certain options like log-out, that are usually located at the top of a website. They are frozen, and firefox doesn't allow me to click on them. It works fine with other browsers.

For example, if when I use hotmail, I cannot click on the options that appear in the upper portion of the page. Example, "menu" "help" "log-out". Same thing happens to facebook, so i can't see my notifications, or log out. When i try to click on them, nothing happens. I tried using facebook and hotmail with other browsers, and it works fine. The Maximize/Restore button only changes the size of the Firefox window, not that of content on web pages.
You may have accidentally zoomed out on that site, or the site may simply have smaller text than others.

Looking to the running processes I see that "System Idle Process" takes 98%. I can't do anything else with my PC, it reacting VERY slowly. To stop it I have to END firefox using "ctl-alt-del". It makes me nervous.
With other browsers (used IE and Google Chrome) or in case I dont use firefox there is no issue at all.

Since a recent upgrade of Firefox links in several websites no longer work. They used to be fine and I loved Firefox. The problems do not exist with other browsers e.g. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome. More specifically, on talktalk.co.uk the links to news items do not work, nor do those to "My Account." On Barclays.co.uk the link to print my statement doesn't work - similarly on MBNA.com
There are several suggested solutions around the internet but all are complex, none so far have worked and I don't see why I should need to carry out the suggested tweaks. Firefox used to be great - now it isn't. The problem seems to be with the upgrade. Please help me to get my Firefox to where it should be.

Thank you but please don't waste any more time on this. I have done as I said I would - removed and re- installed Firefox, cleared all cookies and caches (CCleaner) - still doesn't work. As I said at the start, the problem is not confined to Talktalk - it applies to several other sites and links. The problem does not occur with Internet Explorer nor with Google Chrome so I am now using those.

If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more recent crash reports that have a "bp-" prefix:

Firefox crashing AND the scroll feature on my PC finger pad works with other browsers, but doesn't work on Firefox, which just happened since I updated. FRUSTRATING!

Since I updated, Firefox is crashing daily. The finger scroll feature on my PC works with other browsers, but doesn't work on Firefox. It is also very, very slow, but other browsers aren't. I can't use it anymore until it's fixed.

I cannot use pay bills on Chase Banks website and I could before this last update and with other browsers I can..

I can access the Chase Bank website and log in. I can only use bill pay with other browsers. I can access bill pay but after that if I manually put in the date to be paid since I can't use the calendar they have I can't get past verify

Go into Settings, iCloud on your iPad & iPhone. Turn streaming on there. I did that when I first set up my phone & iPad & have not had any problems. It will only stream over new photos so take one on your phone & see what happens. I hope that works for you.

Photocast access with other browsers!

According to Apple when you create a Photocast you can veiw with any browser capable of reading RSS on Windows or Mac. Well on my Windows box I have tried Mozilla, Firefox and Exploder, with no luck. I use Firefox with the Wizz RSS extension to read RSS feeds all the time, but all these browsers give me an error:

You probably know that you can subscribe to an iPhoto 6 photocast even if you don't have iLife '06. If you use any of the more-recent versions of Safari (i.e., with RSS support), the link in the photocast announcement will work fine as is. But other browsers, even those with RSS support like Firefox, are taken to an error page. But fear not. The following procedure will allow Firefox users (even those on Windows, I think) to subscribe to an iPhoto 6 photocast:
1. In Firefox, go to Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks..., and then choose File -> New Live Bookmark. ("Live Bookmarks" are Firefox's way of abstracting RSS.)
2. Enter the photocast URL from the announcement, substituting web.mac.com for photocast.mac.com, e.g.:

3. The titles of the photocast images will then appear in a submenu, either on your toolbar (if that's where you added the bookmark), or in your bookmarks menu. Selecting the images by title will display those images in the browser.

I had the same experience when I tried using Firefox. I could create a New Live Bookmark, and after I entered the info, a new folder appeared with an icon of the world. But there was no feed address next to it and when I clicked it, nothing happened.

However, this article recommends going into IPhoto and changing the automated Photocast Announcement. I do NOT recommend this. When I did it, and then reopened IPhoto, the menu option for Photocasting disappeared completely! I recommend taking the suggested announcement text and links to RSS feeders in this article, and making it a signature in your email program. Then when you are announcing your Photocast, you can simply choose that signature, rather than mess around with the inner workings of IPhoto.

I can't effect complete deletion of movies from my netflix.com streaming queue while using Firefox (v9.0.1). I contacted Netflix by phone and we checked my browser settings, ensuring they were where they needed to be. They suggested trying to effect the same using other browsers and I had no problem with Chrome allowing me to make a complete and effective deletion. My plugins are all up-to-date and any incompatible ones have been disabled. My problem has been an ongoing thing for months and I wanted to let Mozilla know it exists. If anyone else has been having this problem, please notify Mozilla so they realize it's not just an isolated incident and (hopefully) will look into finding the problem and fixing it.

Addendum: The .jpg file, below, shows the netflix popup I get when trying to delete a video.

When using Flash plugin in Fullscreen the video starts pausing occasionally for a second. OK when not in Fullscreen and works fine in Fullscreen with other Browsers.

I have recently upgraded to 10.0 and whenn using Flash Player in Fullscreen it behaves badly. Starts pausing frequently for aroun a second. It's annoying. When I escape fullscreen and run it within the Browser panel it's fine.. Other Browsers work fine in Full Screen Mode. Tried it with IE and Google Chrome. Firefox is my default Browser so my preferred option.

I hit the back button and go back to the form fill in page. It will not take me to the page of results. This does not happen in other browsers.
