I am trying to install BrTools Studio but throws me an error :

Hello,
All the steps are done accordingly to the documents and the keystore file also was generated and the installation at the last stage comes out with an BrTools installation unsucessfull and the log file states: system specific data not found.
Has someone come through such an issue?

NOTE: Install either the x86 or the x64 variant, accordingly to your 32- or 64-Bit Eclipse installation.
This seems exactly to address the issue I am grapling with, but when downloading and trying to install the file I get the message that the current version on my frontend is more recent than the version I am trying to install.
Is that not strange?

Creative Studio Installation Error

I subscribed Creative Studio and I have been receiving confirmation about my payment. However, I am not able to install softwares except Ps and Bridge. I keep on receiving this message: "Installation encountered an error. Please restart your system and try again. (15)" No matter how many times I have been redoing this, it doesn't work at all. I've tried download and stall without using the application manager and I got this:

Final Cut Pro Studio installation error

Hey... I was installing the software. About half way through installing it said error and stopped; so I'm confused... should I trash everything installed and start all over?

I remember FCP installing first then the other programs but I wasn't paying very close attention.
You either had a strange hiccup or there is something wrong with one of the disks or there was user error.
Still, this should be a pretty simple process - just feed the disks in the order the install program asks for them. If you put in the wrong disk, it will usually tell you 'no that isn't the one I want' and spit it out. Maybe it didn't do that so you should be very clear about which disk you are feeding it.
You might as well try another install. If it crashes out again give Apple care a call. Installation issues are covered for 90 days I believe.

I discovered the cause of this problem. I had pointed my "My Documents" folder to a NAS drive that I had rather than my C drive. Apparently Photoshop was dependant on it being on the C dirve. When I repointed this back to my C drive CS5 installed properly.

FIna Cut Studio 2 Installation Error!! Help!

All right, so I'm going kind of nuts trying to install Final Cut Studio 2. This is my third time trying an install, and every time I get to the same error, where the installer will prompt me with the following: "Please insert the Final Cut Studio disc to continue the installation." Now, naturally, there is no "Final Cut Studio disc", there are many different discs that comprise Final Cut Studio like, Final Cut Studio Installation, Final Cut Studio Audio 1, Final Cut Studio Motion Content, etc.
So, seeing as I don't have the disk they're asking for, I just put in the Install disc, as its the closest to what they're asking for, and I get the following error message: "The source media you are installing from is damaged. Try installing from a different copy of the source media or contact the manufacturer for a replacement."
Is there anything I can do to get around this? Id really like to have access to the software sooner rather than later.
Also, I can't for the life of me find a phone # or e-mail to contact the manufacturer with...

It has been a while since I installed my copy so I don't remember the disc order. Perhaps your documentation lists the disc install order? If you are focused on doing this now, try another install and use a different disc and see if you get lucky!
I have not seen mine since the install but this is how I put them away... hope this helps!

I tried both approaches above and neither worked.
My final solution was simple: there was a file in the directory called machine.config.default. In a DOS box I copied that file to create machine.config.
The office 2010 install worked fine after that "fix".

BR*tools studio installation

Dear Experts,
We tried to install brtools studio in windows 2003 server but got some problem relate to web service that not generated during installation. I tried to folow guidence that i got from SDN "BRTools Studio for Oracle DBA" and will use Multi-instance server modes.
as mentioned on the prerequsite, before start installation, i already install J2SDK 1.4.2_19 and also Microsoft Internet Information System, then i run the installation. Installation actually finished successfully, but when i click launch button, it direct to http://<server>:port/studio but i got error message that page can not be found, then i tried to check on the IIS console and i found that there is no new website are created.
Is there any setings that we need to prepare on web server site? need your advice for this case.

1) Call setup.cmd from command prompt
2) Click Install
3) Give https port By Default its 8888
4) Provide Password
5) Now keystore File (This is for security as we are using HTTPS)
We need to generate it using JAVA commands
Open Command Prompt Change Directory to java home
Run This Command and provide info:
Keytool -genkey
Give this path to next screen and password also you provide just now
Now a file has been generated
C:\document and setting\username\.keystore
6) Now installation is over.
Now Come to your Server
Here i am sharing the procedure to run and use BRTOOL STUDIO
1) To Run Studio Go to Studio home and run server.cmd
2) To Access it go to url;
Https:hostname:port/studio
3) A pop-up window will come
Provide username:Administrator(Same as shown Capital A and all other small )
Password:You provide at the time of installation
4) Click on instances and then Create
5) Provide Info as Password for Administrator
Database user (Please note that password of DB user should not be containu2019@u2019 in password string)
6) Give The Path for brtool profile parameter
Oraclehome/database/init.sap
7) Finally click on Go(Left Side)
8) Now you will be log off and login to your instance Using
Administrator as username and password you provide at the time of installation
9) Now here you can create more user for brtool with different user roles.
You can use it to view space, check status ,control files,backup,restore and you now more thingu2026u2026..

Workaround: BEA Workshop studio installation with JRockit

If JRockit is your primary JVM (i.e., JRockit is the only JVM installed OR JRockit appears before the Sun JVM in the PATH environment variable), the Workshop Studio installer will fail with the error message:
"Can't launch executable. Could not load jvm.dll
Try re-installing the Java VM or change the Java VM used by the application"
WORKAROUND:
To resolve this error, create a new folder <JRockit>/jre/bin/client and in this folder make a duplicate copy of the contents of the folder <JRockit>/jre/bin/jrockit. Then run the Workshop Studio installer again.

I had beehive working earlier with tomcat. I moved tomcat directory so it is not working anymore.
i have java-home to jdk1.4 and the same in eclipse preferences..
but
while installing studio i gave jdk1.5 as the java-home.
I'll to re-install eclipse and the studio plugin. and try again.

I found the solution, if anyone has the same error, here is the solution:
The cause of an error was improper configuration of the host. The ping returned two different IP addresses:
oas@myhost $ ping -a myhost
myhost (333.333.333.333) is alive
oas@myhost $ ping -a myhost.domain.com
myhost.domain.com (555.555.555.555) is alive
I removed the wrong IP address for myhost.domain.com in /etc/inet/ipnodes:
[email protected] # cat /etc/inet/ipnodes
# Internet host table
::1 localhost
127.0.0.1 localhost
555.555.555.555 myhost.domain.com loghost
Now the ping is correct:
oas@myhost $ ping -a myhost

Error shows that

Looks like a "nice" workaround but with it you stop using the oracle instantclient and start to use the "normal" client.
For the instantclient you do not need to set any NLS parameter, for the "normal" client you will need to do it.
This is prone to get other possible errors that can be solved with other "workaround" until you hit one that need SAP support to "enter" in the picture, and the first thing would be to undo all that to get support.
This thread is one year old, so i assume the issue is already solved.
But, incase it is not so, or some other people does find this thread.
The error means that BRtools are looking for the oracle client 10g and you do not have it installed or it is not properly done.
That means that, the solution would be to install this instantclient properly following the instructions from the SAP Note 819829 Oracle Database 10g: Instant Client 10.x on Unix
If you get this issue while installing in oracle 9.2, then it means that the delivered brtools level are a bit higher for your release. In that case, replace the BR* tools delivered (700) with the latest from 6.40 kernel. and be sure that the oracle client 9i is properly installed as it is needed for this version (see SAP Note 539922 Installing the ORACLE client software 9.2.X for UNIX)

What version of client are you trying to install? I'd go with 11.2.0.2 to rule out any known issues with the OUI.
11202 is available on MOS. If you don't have Oracle Support to be able to access MOS, 11201 is available in the downloads section on OTN.

I had installed OSM design studio plugins in eclipse (version 3.3.0), it is installed without any error but the Studio option is not displayed in the main menu of eclipse.

You should use Eclipse Version: 3.4.2. Once you have done that and install all the plug-ins (both studio core and OSM plug-ins). Refer to the Studio Installation Guide to perform all the other setups. If you are still facing the same issue, please post it on the forum and let me know the following details:
