Bsod cycling with starts
hp pavilion came with vista . downloaded windows 8.1 worked months then bsod popped up w/code itehdWb3.restartwd several times . it starts normally. the hp logo comes up it wont get passed this then bsod comes up . tried booting from disc , same problem . any ideas?
Hello,
Please, use the Esc button to load the BIOS options as soon as your computer starts.
Test the computers HDD and RAM [both, one by one] using the BIOS/UEFI built-in options in every HP machine. Here is an example how:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00439024
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01443317
If they appear to have failed, this is the cause of the issue.
If they appear to be OK, it could be the operating system issue (such as some drivers).
Re. the Windows 8.1 disk, you need to press the esc button and change the the boot options - choose to boot from the DVD device.
After that you will be able to boot from the Windows disk.
I suggest you try these options:
1. Enable Windows Safe Mode in Windows 8.1 and disable automatic restart:
http://www.howtogeek.com/107511/how-to-boot-into-safe-mode-on-windows-8-the-easy-way/ [If You Can’t Boot to the Login Screen]
This way, if the machine goes into BSOD, you will be able to notice all the error message and write down the exact error message/code that appears there - this can be very important for troubleshooting purposes
Info -> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03327545#AbT5
2. Alternatively, if (1) does not work, boot from the Windows disk
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-safe-mode
Once you go to the recovery options, you can choose System Restore and time back the computer to a known good state where everything worked fine (e.g some days ago):
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/what-are-system-recovery-options#what-are-system-recovery...

Pavilion P6-2326s Power cycling with new graphics card
Hi, I just got a Pavilion P6-2326s from a friend that didn't want it anymore because it was broken. I know a little about PCs so I thought i could fix it and have a spare. It would fire up and run but no video. I figured onboard video was dead and ordered a new cheap video card(EVGA GT610 1GB). I installed it and and no go. the pc just cycles through starting for 3-4 seconds, stops, starts again for few seconds and goes again. It will keep doing this forever or until I hold in power button to shut down. I thought maybe vid card was drawing too much juice, so I removed power supply and put in a known good, 550 watt that I have. Same deal with the start, stop sequence. Tried removing, replcing battery to refresh CMOS in BIOS. Same result with start, stop sequence. Is it safe to assume that Motherboard is probable fried? One othe note, when I got the PC and opened it up, it was the dirtiest PC I have ever seen. It was really caked up with dust and webs. Any ideas out there? Thanks in advance
You would definitely need to remove the add on video card in order to change the BIOS settings, but if you don't have any video with the video card removed, then you still can't see the BIOS settings, and you are pretty much out of luck.
You would probably be throwing good money after bad unless you can find the same motherboard on eBay in used but tested and working condition at a very reasonable price.
Here are listings of the motherboard your model uses. They may be from different model PC's however that use the same motherboard and again, you may not be able to use W8 because if some of those motherboards came from models with W7, there won't be a W8 product key in the BIOS.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.XH-Joshua-H61-uATX+...
Then there might be a problem with getting Windows 8 reactivated since the motherboard was changed even if you do manage to find one that came from a PC with W8.
If it were me...This would be a case where I would strip it for parts, and toss the rest of it out. -
BSOD/Reboots with my NEW HP Pavillion H8-1117cb
I purchased an HP Pavillion H8-1117cb from Sam's Club on Monday, and starting configuring it yesterday. Since then, I've had close to 10 spontaneous reboots/BSODs happening with absolutely no pattern. This are truly "out of the blue" and its making it hard to get anything done with this computer.
I understand that this is probably due to bad drivers, but I really don't see anything "new" or "updated" on HP's site for this computer.
Here is an example message from the last reboot/BSOD:

This might be a case of memory corruption. More often memory corruption happens because of software errors in buggy drivers, not because of faulty RAM modules.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver which cannot be identified at this time.
I cannot be the only one having this problem, so I'm really hoping someone can help me get this issue solved quickly.
The only 'non-boxed' items i'm using is a Microsoft wireless keyboard (6000) and a Microsft Arc Touch wireless mouse. I've installed updated drivers for both.
Thanks,
AlanHello aolsonwi, I would suggest taking the new system back to SamsClub for a replacement.
You don't want a new system that displays these types of errors and BSOD right out of the box.
Anytime you start getting memory dumps, the system has some major issues, that you most likely can resolve yourself.
Just a thought.

BSOD experience with CLEAN INSTALL on new hard drive...next step?
Much has been written about the BSOD experiences of those upgrading to Leopard and the conflict with third party software enhancements already on their Tiger system. And apparently those fixes are working for some. I may be in the minority, but I own a Mac Pro and have a boot drive for Tiger and a second boot drive, brand new and zeroed out, on which I installed Leopard.
When I go to start Leopard, I get either the BSOD or it will go one step further, bring me to the Leopard desktop, then hang...with a movable mouse but no functionality. In my case, since I am doing a fresh install with no Tiger software on the new hard drive, what could be causing the conflict? Has anyone else out there experienced my specific problem? And have their been any suggestions posted on a fix for this situation.
Obviously the CLEAN INSTALL experience of Leopard is not immune from the installation BSOD problems of the TIGER UPGRADERS.
I would love to hear from others experiencing these BSOD issues with their CLEAN INSTALLS and any possible workarounds.
Many thanks,
JohnI think the issue is installing 10.5 on a different drive than the boot drive. I would recommend swapping the drives, making the 10.5 the physical boot drive and Tiger the secondary.
I have done two clean installs on two different machines with no issue. A 3rd machine was upgraded with no issues as well.
Asking other users for sob stories helps no one. Asking for resolution however, is key. -
hi
Could u please help me with the problem that I have with starting up my macbook pro?Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
Do the following:
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install the Combo Updater for the version you prefer from support.apple.com/downloads/. -

Hi,
I enabled Hyper-V role in the Microsoft Windows Server 2012 on testing computer (PC with i7 CPU and 16GB RAM). I found very strange behavior. The sleep mode was enabled and after command “powercfg /hibernation on” the hibernation is also working.
I tested sleep (S3) and hibernation with started hypervisor and with running virtual machine. I tested sleep and hibernation triggered by power button and even with time-out that was set in the Power Options (I set sleep after 1 minute and
later hibernate after 1 minute and wait).
Sleep and hibernation is working! I do not understand why. Sleep and hibernation should be functional only on Client Hyper-V on Windows 8 and not on the Server 2012.
Some examples:
Testing workstation (i7, 16GB RAM) with Server 2012 and with started hypervisor:
C:\Users\Administrator>powercfg /a

R. Revil
Relef RevilHi Ben,
I have nearly exactly the same Problem as Relef Revil.
I have Lenovo T510 Notebook with Core I7 and a Lenovo T420 Notebook with a CoreI5.
On my T510 S3 Sleep works perfectly with Hyper-V Role. On my T420 Sleep is disabled due to Hypervisor.
If I uninstall Hyper-V Role then Sleep works again as expected.
So, from a Little simple perspective, I Looks like this is a Hyper-V Thing or Problem.
I have als updated to the latest BIOS and latest Intel HD Graphics 3000 Drivers on this Win 2012R2 Maschine.
Also I have installed all possbile latest Versions of all other devices.
Could you probably give me an idea where to search for a solution.
So, what is the logic why Hyper-V disables sleep, when Sleep worked before?
I assumed that Hyper-V and Sleep ist generally possible on Win2012R2, especially when Sleep works perfectly when Hyper-V Role is not installed.
Kind Regards
Marcus

Can not start up on my Macbook pro. All I get is a grey spinning wheel. Tried all the Startup key combinations and nothing works. I reset the NVRAM and nothing. I booted with start up disk , ran disk repair and all is ok. Tried to re-install OS but when I get to designating drive its blank. When I go to startup disk there is a "?" mark. When I restart under startup disk search for a drive it still comes up with nothing. Before I got the grey spinning wheel I had a locked screen. Could not move curser or click on anything. Finally just shut down. Thank you in advance for any help!
Shouldn't still have a 'beachballing'... if the drive is being found and the system is trying to boot from it but is having problems, I would suggest looking over ds store's user tip - Step by step to fix your Mac.
It's likely either something corrupt in your system files or a failing hard drive. But follow ds's steps until you find the cause of the problem.
Good luck,

OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.5.0) - Issue with starting Node Manager
Hi,
Have anyone faced an issue with starting Node Manager in OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.5.0)? OS is 64 bit Linux, WebLogic is 10.3.5. I used the software-install method and followed by running config.sh. Everything completed successfully. I updated the catalog and rpd location in the FMW control screen.
To get it activated I bounced services and when I try to start Node Manager it gives below error --

Edited by: Cherrish on Aug 30, 2011 3:14 PMHi,
There are Two types of Cipher suites --- Certicom Cipher Suite and SunJSSE Equivalent Cipher Suite. And with Weblogic 10.3.5, you are using Sun JSSE Cipher Suite, and by default Node Manager uses the Certicom Cipher Suite.
In the nodemanager.properties, Add CipherSuite=SSL_RSA_EXPORT_WITH_RC4_40_MD5, save and restart Node Manager.

But When ever glass fish v2 or any server starts, all successfully deployed web application, resources etc. gets initialized. In respect to this you can surely configure your web application such a way that whenever it get stated you want to perform any operation.
So, this will end up with your requirement isn't It?

Ditribution cycle with WBS as sender
Hi Friends,
We have support project cost cost booked on WBS elements , we want to allocate that costs to some cost cost centers.
We created 1 distributiion cycle having the WBS as sender & cost center as the receiver.
but when we run the distribution cycle, the cost is not getting distributed. the sender is not recognized when we run the cycle.
We are having message " Cycle PA01IND002, start date 20100101, does not include any senders."
kindly help.
Thanks & Regards
BhairaviHI,
SAPNET note 605281 describes what to do to enable allocation cycles to use WBS-element as a sender, I assume this is correct implemented in your system.
Check the sender master data / transaction data. Follow SAPNET note 64805 (point 4) for detailed analysis of the case (report RKACSHOW).

When I close Firefox, then later want to start up again, I get I message that Firefox is still running. With "START TASK MANAGER", I need to close Firefox in order to start again.
I have the same problem. Firefox won't unload regardless of how long I wait. Literally hours ... I must go in and 'end the process'. This has been a real hassle for a while now. Even considered giving up on firefox. Please look into this! An additional problem; I have to run firefox to get the updates, but I can't get the updates to take because I can't get firefox to unload so I can restart it.
