BSOD in the middle of uninstalling Catalyst 10.9 and 10.8

It happened twice already.
BSOD in the middle of uninstalling Catalyst 10.8 (first time) and 10.9 (second time). Of course it took me few hours each time to test and fix everything back to normal (System Restore, installed / reinstalled bunch of softwares, etc).
First BSOD happened when the Afterburner / Kombustor were installed while I was uninstalling the Catalyst.
Second BSOD happened when Afterburner / Kombustor were uninstalled while I was uninstalling the Catalyst.
The Crossfire was OC to 950MHz and I suspect the Afterburner ( or Kombustor or PWN Tweaker as well????) had conflict to the Catalyst that caused the BSODs.
Has it happened to your system as well????
So what is the proper procedure to update the Catalyst when you are using Afterburner / Kombustor as well?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

What is the disadvantage of uninstalling Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework?

I have Yoga 13 and after I found that Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework (DPTF) is throttling my CPU to 800 MHz in non laptop mode, so i uninstalled it, and it works wonder.
However I see that in my Device Manager, there are two devices that needs driver.
So what is the disadvantage of uninstalling Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework? what is the after effect? Is it safe to uninstall it?

I have been investigating why my Yoga-13 might be freezing up (about once every other day). While looking at errors in the event log, I came across errors that led to the following sites when I googled the error:

First try forcing it to shut down: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds.
If you don't get anywhere, restoring it is the next step:
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release only the Sleep/Wake button.
Continue pressing and holding the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.

That folder with the question mark icon means that the MacBook can't find the boot directory. That can either mean it can't find the hard drive or the Operating System data on the hard drive is somehow corrupted.
Put your install DVD into the optical drive and reboot. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option key until the Install Disk shows up). That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Just press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions.
If your hard drive isn’t recognized in Disk Utility then your hard drive is probably dead.

I am transferring my 2009 27" iMac to a new 27" 768gb flash drvie with 32gb ram via wireless and it is taking 110 hours and has been on overnight. I have the thrunderbolt to firewired adapter but I could not get it to mount my
buffalo thunderbolt external even though it mounts my firewire Lacie 800 which is why I am doing it wirelessy I do not have 110 hours it is work related computer I run three companies.
can i plut in the thunderbolt and try it with the firewire adapter in the middle of migration and remove the ethernet cable it was only 50 hours when it was doing it wireleslly and now 110 with the ethernet cable I am going to try removing it at least.

HT1657 watching a movie on Apple TV and it just stops in the middle of it. Try settings and check for rental and just get the spinning wheel for over 30 minutes.

Can't seem to finish a movie on AppleTV. It just stops in the middle of movie and returns to menu. Try to check for rentals under settings like it says to when we try and download movie again and all I get is a spinning wheel. At least the second this has happened in the middle of a movie. Beginning to think AppleTV is junk!

Why does Mac App Store log me out in the middle of a download of Lion and "resume" won't work?

I have previously purchased a copy of OS Lion and have been loading it onto each of three Macs in our home network. This worked fine for an iMac G7 and iMac G5, but is failing for a White Macbook (running Snow Leopard 10.6.8). Other apps have been successfully downloaded on the Macbook, so the problem seems to be only associated with Lion (which is a 3-4hr dowload).
When I log onto my Mac App Store account and select "Purchases", my prior purchase of Lion is there as it should be. I then select "Install" and it starts to download as expected. Then about 10 minutes into the download, it pops-up that it is going to log out and offers me the option to click "cancel" (within so many seconds) to elect not to log out. If I select "cancel", it continues to download normally until about an hour later when the same thing occurs, and so on. If I do not select "cencel", then it logs out and when I log back in "Resume" doesn't work in App Store. It shows that zero GB have been downloaded when at least 1GB have already been downloaded.
So, unless I sit there vigilantly watching the download for 4 hours to select "cancel" whenever it pops up. I just can't download the software this way. With a capped data plan, this has the potential to be very expensive.
Btw, I have tried the simple thing of switching from a WIFI connection to cable, but this had no impact on the problem.
Can anyone help?

ITunes "drops" recognition of iPod Touch in the middle of restore

Hi. I have been attempting to restore my iPod on my PC (Dell Inspiron 6000 running Windows XP). It had issues in the middle of an iOS software update and went into restore mode. I plug in my iPod and it displays the connect to iTunes screen. iTunes recognizes it as "iPod" and a message pops up that says I need to restore my iPod. I click "restore" and it says it is "Extracting Software". At some point in the middle of this step, iTunes stops recognizing my iPod. It contines with the "extracting software" step, but at the end of this step it gives me an error message saying "The iPod 'iPod' could not be restored. The device cannot be found". When I click "OK", it immediately recognizes my iPod again and goes back to the initial restore screen. I have followed all steps in support pages including updatinge iTunes to latest version, checking my usb cable, restarting the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver, updating the driver, uninstalling and reinstalling the driver and finally uninstalling iTunes and all its related components and reinstalling. I have also tried disconnecting and reconnecting the ipod during the "Extracting Software" step to see if iTunes will re-recognize it. Please let me know whether you have any insight into my issues. Thanks!
