BSOD, T500 Multiple machines same error.
Hello, I have about 5-6 T500's here. I am the windows imaging person for my company. I have been working on a T500 image using windows Xp Pro with SP3. I am following the guidelines at MIGR-70665 for installation.
The only Major change I have to my installation media is inclusion of the mass storage drivers so I don't have to use compatibility mode to boot the machine and I have my Xp installation automated.
After setting the bios correctly I boot to XP CD "note at this point the intel video adapter is DISABLED and it stays that way" I install XP and after the first boot with XP I install the ATI Video card drivers using the command they recommend. "I have tried it both ways with same result" Then I install Intel Matrix etc so all mass storage drivers are up to date. I continue to build the machine. "these machines are loaded with pretty much all options" All drivers are loaded. I install a few extras "flash, acrobat, shockwave, java, and quicktime. I also install a few company specific plugins that are java and tiff related nothing extreme or graphics related.
Now onto the problems. The very first time I built this machine prior to sysprep. I was getting constant blue screens which pointed to ATI2DVAG or ATI2MTAG. These blue screens were only DURING BOOT. I gave up on my installation and decided on doing it via the above page "I don't always follow an install method until there is an issue because i automate much of my installations"
So I do the Xp installation using the preferred method in the link above. At this point I can completely do everything I need to the machine no issues at all. So I assume my problem is cured.
Now however comes the part where I image the drive. I run sysprep and shutdown the machine. I boot to my imaging disk and upload the image to server. upon the completion of imaging I again reboot the machine. The first 2 reboots of the machine are fine "one to complete sysprep name the machine etc" Once I have logged in the second time things are ok as well.. no issues. Starting with the 3rd or sometimes the 4th boot the machine BSOD's on the ATI drivers again. "generally infinite loop stop 0x000000ea pointing to ATI2DVAG" Sometimes pointing to ATI2MTAG. This is not machine specific. I can put a non-sysprepped image on another T500 and it works fine however AFTER sysprep i start getting blue screens. "yes I have even waited to install the graphics drivers until sysprep was done but with same result"
Once it starts blue screening only VGA mode works to get in the machine. Note, This is ONLY DURING BOOT I am not so far getting any BSOD's after a successful boot.
So I'm hoping someone here has an answer I'm pretty competent with computers but this has me stumped. I need to get these machines to the folks they belong to but obviously this is a show stopper.
I have tried using TVSU and my own driver installations via matrix. Neither affect the amount of blue screens I get. Remember this isn't a single machine issue it carries to the other machines. A nonsysprepped image works great a sysprepped one blue screens. Installing drivers after sysprep does not affect the blue screen.
I have built it with Xp and 2 different laptops 5x at this point.
If you've read this far thanks. hopefully someone has an answer I haven't thought to try.
Anyone out there have XP on their machine? Anyone tried sysprep as it seems to be introducing some kind of issue? "I can't guarantee sysprep is causing it though" I have to use VOLUME LICENSING on these machines. However at this point rescue and recovery set for XP would be helpful just to test with.
This machine is a 2055-2EU if anyone needs to see the specs.
2.53ghz 2g ram
Sata AHCI 160gb
ATI HD3650
I have upgraded the bios to the latest available on site.

You are certainly more capable than I at this stuff, but I'll throw in my experience just in case. I have a T500 with the ATT HD3650 card and I am running XP. I upgraded the RAM to 4gb and I imaged the 80gb to a 320gb and installed it. (I used Easeus Partition Manager ). The 320gb wouldn't boot, so I found that the Cool Tools tab in XXClone was able to make the imaged 320 bootable.
I didn't have any BSODs until about a week later when I used the Lenovo software to auto update the all of the drivers. That seems to have been a big mistake. I have had several since then, but not during booting. At least two have been the x000000ea error in ati2dvag. I ran the Microsoft Windows Memory diagnostic for several passes and RAM seems to be ok. (MemTest86+ refuses to run on a T500). The sound has been stuttering at times, so I rolled back the audio driver.
I used the recovery procedure (using the hidden partition) to totally reinstall the 80gb to factory settings (that took forever!!!!) and I am about ready to try the imaging all over again. Sheesh..
Anyway, I have never had a computer give me such fits in upgrading hardware.

Error 0xC004C032, Office failed install, multiple machines
I suppose this is a minor problem in the great scheme of things. And maybe, depending on your point of view, it's not a problem. Allow me to explain.
I'm trying to install the trial version of Office 2013, and I did so successfully on laptop A. However, laptop A's hard drive failed within days, and I obtained a new machine, laptop B. (Certainly, this would be a situation that comes up from time to time,
considering the gazillions of Office installs happening.)
I tired to install the trial v of Office, but the Activation seemed to have stalled with the
Error 0xC004C032, the multiple machines error.
Oddly enough, Office opens and it seems to work. But instead of 60 days trial, it says 30 days. I remember 60 on laptop A.
So, is there any solution other than creating a new Hotmail e-addy and installing under a new account? (I hate making new e-addies; I feel personally-attached to my old one. :-( )
Why is the trial now at 30 days? Why does it even work without activation?
{||} Nehmo {||}Hi Nehmo,
Are you using Office Professional Plus 2013 or Office 365 ProPlus? As can be seen from this site, for Office Professional Plus 2013, you can try it for 60 days, but for Office 365 ProPlus you will only have 30 days:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-office-365-proplus
Have you downloaded the installation file from the same source/site? With the same Microsoft account?
You can go to FILE>Account to check the product information and see if it has been activated.

Run invoke-command on multiple machines at the same time
Hey all so I read that if I store my New-pssession in a variable then used that in my invoke-command it would run all computers at the same time.
$a = Get-Content "C:\Users\cody-horton\Desktop\list.txt"
$session
for($i=0;$i -lt $a.Length;$i++){
if(!(Test-Connection -Cn $a[$i] -BufferSize 16 -Count 1 -ea 0 -quiet)){
Write-Host $a[$i] -foregroundcolor red
else{
$session = New-PSSession $a[$i]
Invoke-Command -Session $session -FilePath "\\My computer\C`$\Users\public\Documents\zip folder.ps1"
What exactly am I doing wrong I just need to run this script on multiple machines at the same time.
Thanks.
Edit: Also what would be the best way to close all the sessions thanks.Hi there,
So what I think you are doing wrong here is that you are overwriting the value in $Session everytime you executed code inside for loop. try the below:
$a = Get-Content "C:\Users\cody-horton\Desktop\list.txt"
$session = @() #define this as an array
for($i=0;$i -lt $a.Length;$i++){
if(!(Test-Connection -Cn $a[$i] -BufferSize 16 -Count 1 -ea 0 -quiet)){
Write-Host $a[$i] -foregroundcolor red
else{
$session += New-PSSession $a[$i] #add the new session to the array, at the end it will be a collection of sessions
Invoke-Command -Session $session -FilePath "\\My computer\C`$\Users\public\Documents\zip folder.ps1" #I think the above one won't work..first you need to copy the script locally on the machine and then execute it#Why this won't work because of Second-Hop Authentication
Have put comments where I edited your code.
Hope this helps

I am using a 2011 iMac on 10.6.8. I recently downloaded the Yosemite upgrade and during the installation process ran into the "this disk is used for time machine backups". I ejected the external drive I use for time machine backups and turned off time machine in the application. I then followed the instructions of the help article (OS X: Cannot install on a volume used by Time Machine for backups - Apple Support) by moving the folder "Backups.backupdb" that I was able to find on my internal hard drive to the trash. I have restarted several times after completing this process. I am still running into the same error during the installation process. I have searched the hard drive for any other backups and I cannot find any. I searched the hard drive using the command cmd-shift-g and searched for “backups.backupdb” and was unable to find any folders or files. Any other suggestions?
I have resolved the problem - I did not actually delete the "backups.backupdb" folder, I only deleted the contents of the folder. I must have only searched on the user account for the folder after I thought I had deleted it. Thank you for the assistance everyone and I apologize for the inconvenience!

Same error message getting added multiple times on clicking of row.
I have an application table where I can add an employee. At EO level, I have kept the unique key validator so that user cannot add the same employee again in the table.
So, now if user try to add the same employee which is already added in the table, then when I click on some other row (i.e on row change), an error message comes (which we have set at the EO level).
Now if you keep on clicking this row, the same error messages will keep on adding in the error box which is displayed. So, its like if you click the same row 5 times, the same error message will be shown 5 times in the error dialog box.
But the moment you click on some other row, it works fine i.e it shows you the error message only once which is what I want. So, is there any way to solve this issue?my jdev version is 11.1.1.6.0
And sorry but I didnt get your 2nd question regarding af:message tag! The message is coming from some bundle and we have set the message at EO level. -
After upgrading to 10.6.8, I almost immediately began experiencing multiple random kernel panic errors. I reinstalled the operating system that came with my notebook from the cd (10.6?) and the problem went away. I upgraded again to 10.6.8 and again began experiencing the same error. I have since gone back and installed the operating syatem from the cd and then upgraded to 10.6.7. I have not had a single kernel panic error since, but I would like to upgrade to 10.6.8 so that I can install Lion when it is avaialable. Any thoughts as to how I can do this without experiencing all of the accompanying kernel panic errors?
Thank you. The log is below:

Multiple Printer Communication Errors after July Mavericks Upgrade
Running multiple machines and printers, including:
- iMac 2014; MacBook Pro 2013; iMac 2011; Tower 2010 / Mavericks
- HP 8500 / USB and AirPrint / "Communication Error while Scanning"
- Dymo Twin Turbo / USB / "Printer is Offline"
- HP 400, HP 2430, Epson 3800 / LAN / No communication errors
Since latest upgrade, my machines have stopped communicating with these printers. Those machines running Mountain Lion (two older Towers and MacMini) an still print and scan. I have dumped and re-installed all drivers. Have powered-down, disconnected, and reconnected all printers multiple times.
Can scan to HP using web interface. Dymo is dead in water with anything running Mavericks. Because both the trouble printers are connected USB, I'm thinking that is the smoking gun. Anyone else in the same boat?
Hoping a patch is in the work. Thanks.Haven't heard of that before.
Before anything else - Apple has changed their print driver paradigm. Manufacturers give current drivers to Apple who have it on their server for automatic download/install when you add the printer in Print & Scan prefs. Since 10.8, you don't normally install drivers (Dymo is probably an exception). HP even includes instructions for this on their web site.
You need to try some generic maintenance first.
Reset the Printing System:
OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system
Restart from the Recovery partition (or some other bootable drive), and repair the normal boot drive using Disk Utility:

flash player has been installed multiple time without errors but bbc news website and even flash player help say it isn't. How do i get out of this loop? - using windows 7 ultimate and latest IE11
I have had the same problem for WEEKS and I cannot access any sites that use Flash. Flash has been installed on this computer since I bought it in 2012. I have allowed auto updates but for weeks the updates never get past Step 2 - is this because I do NOT want the Google Tool bar? I use NO tool bars as there is only 6 inches of vertical screen space. Is this because I uncheck wanting Chrome as a default browser? It is already installed, I just don't use it. I came to this site and ran the check is it installed and the system says it is either not installed or not enabled. Version 14 just downloaded about 30 minutes ago - but did not progress to Step 3 although a pop up screen came up with a finish button, which I clicked. WHAT is the problem and how do I fix it? If this were just a compatibility bug between IE11 and Adobe they have had plenty of time to fix it.

FireFox 5 was working fine. Got a message about one of my other programs had an update available. I installed the update and it needed to shutdown the system to take effect. I clicked OK. The system shut down and restarted and a Mozilla Crash Reporter message came up when it tried to reload FireFox. I've tried totally uninstalling FireFox (twice) and re installing it but I still get the same error message when I try to start the program.
Don't know what else I can do???Google ATI Firefox crash. You'll see ATI video cards have multiple problems with Firefox and also internet videos. Also, note the dates these problems occurred - many are 2011...

Hi all,
This is really bizarre... and very frustrating.
I own an IQ506 (with TV tuner) which I have been pretty happy with. So much so, that I had my office buy one, too (IQ504). But lately, my computer has been acting up (locking up, freezing). Funny enough, the IQ504 we bought for work has also been acing the same way.
Today, the IQ504 at work died. We ran the boot-up diagnostics tool and discovered a problem with the hard drive (not detected).
I came home to a working TouchSmart, but before I went to bed, I tried waking it up from Sleep only to see the Vista donut of death. So I did a forced shutdown and reboot. I then got a "media missing, please reboot" error. So I did. Multiple times only to see the same error. I try to run the F9 diagnostics (which is sluggish to run) and find the the diagnostic tools cannot find the HDD. I reboot again and go into Setup. Sure enough, no hard drive detected.
This strikes me as being a strange coincidence. Both PCs, in different parts of the city, BOTH die with the SAME error on the SAME day?
Hard drive dead? or could the SATA controller be dead?
Please don't tell me that all the new pictures of my daughter's birthday are now gone...
Is this something HP would cover under warranty?
What can I do?
Thanks,
doon

misery loves company. thanks for the post!
could you take a look and see what model hard drive it was? i had a seagate barracuda ST3500620AS.
Would be interesting to know if you had the same one.
I am thinking that there may be an overheating issue with the drive or TouchSmart which fried the drives electronics.
Please let me know if the tech figures anything out.
Thanks again for posting!
cheers,doon
Same ST350062OAS as yours.
Recieved the new HDD this morning and it is a Hitachi Deskstar P7K500. Model # HDP725050GLA360
Guess the Seagate isn't their preferred drive anymore???

Multiple users, same login/account?
Hi,
Is it possible for multiple users in a department to use the same Contribute account login to edit their webpages, or will this cause problems with lockfiles or versioning or anything else?
Thanks in advance.
ScotchHi Scotch,
It is possible for multiple users to use the same connection key/login credentials in multiple machines to edit their webpages using Contribute.
If some page is placed in edit mode, Contribute will show an info bar for the same
If you are an admin it will show the info bar saying

Multiple Machine Render question
Alright, so I just realized that After Effects (I'm running CS3) can utilize multiple machine renderings. At first, I thought this would be great since my typical renders are anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. But, after much playing around, I realized that it only works for sequences.. which isn't much help because I export the majority of my work as DV Streams or MOV files! Is there any way I can get it to do formats other than image sequences or am I SOL?
I also considered buying a few moderate-end machines and putting together a small render farm in case I couldn't, but I wouldn't know where the best place is to start with something like that (I'd imagine determine what software works, but I can't find much info on that, really).for PC's only =====
i wrote my own dos scripts to setup network rendering (remotely start after effects engines, copy projects to a watchfolder, and setup RenderControlFiles, copy and install fonts, etc ... took me a while to write and set up and is really the property of the company I work for), but the basics are below and from my in-house help file. Works better for us than collecting footage, basically, just substitute local drive volume names with UNC names, save the project, submit to the watchfolder, in its own directory, and add an RCF text file (try collecting footage, an RCF file will be generated so you can see whats in it). The thing that took me longest to debug was to install required fonts remotely ... any way read the basics
THE FOUR BASIC REQUIREMENTS
The basic requirements for any software that can network render, are that
(1)
all participating computers are able to access the original source footage,
(2)
any required fonts are loaded and active on the participating renderers,
(3)
any plugins and codecs used are also installed and available, and
(4)
all rendered frames, ie, output are send to a common storage area; single frames sequences are the best output format, a single streamed format, like an AVI, MPEG, or Quicktime Movie cannot be created by more than one computer at one time. However if your render queue has multiple single file streams queued, multiple render slaves can render the multiple queued streams, with one slave rendering one of the streams at a time two or more render slaves cannot render the same stream at the same time.
SETTING UP YOUR PROJECT TO NETWORK RENDER
Source Footage Paths
The first problem in the below example is that all the source footage is referenced using local paths. The default network rendering method Adobe use is really best suited to archiving, wherein the footage is collected from the source computer and copied to a common server in a hierarchial tree structure. In this example the source footage is comparatively short, but still over 900mb long, so there is a time issue involved, a network traffic issue, a storage issue at the server end, a server management issue, and if the network render fails, or needs to be redone, this step will need to be repeated or the process hacked by an appropriately skilled person.
To network render, all source imagery should use a file path that can be seen by other computers on a network. The best method is to use UNC (universal naming convention) paths, ie \\computername\sharedvolume\foldername\foldername\imagename.
In the above example a badly pathed file N:\TV1 Promos\sas\sas1.aif could be made legal by re-pathing to \\regan\zone2\TV1 Promos\sas\sas1.aif assuming that zone2 is an explicitly shared volume.
TIP: you can create as many share points as you want. You could, for example create an additional share point N:regan\one2\TV1 Promos\sas and call it SAS so it appears as the share \\regan\SAS. Just right-hand click on the folder you want to share, select SHARING from the menu, create the new share and give it a meaningful name; on XP systems, you also need to specify read/write access permissions.
You can create a shortcut to this or any other share, leave it on your desktop, and that will save you time navigating to that point or typing out \ \ r e g a n \ s a s
Alternatively, you can highlight a network path in explorer, copy that text, and keep pasting it when subsequently specifying paths.
There are not limitations on how many share points you can create.
An further alternative method would be to use the administrative share path, \\regan\N$\TV1 Promos\sas\sas1.aif. Here the drive letter N: is replaced by \\regan\N$. This method is particularly useful where the volumes are not explicitly shared.
One other method is to map shared volumes or folders to a drive letter, but for this to work, the drive mapping must be consistant across all participating renderers, so you would have to run around these computers mapping network shares to drives on a per job basis as required, so it is not at really very practical.
After Effects 6.5 introduced a smarter way if the project is opened on another computer on the network, it will attempt to replace the locally specified footage paths, with network paths. Mostly it works okay, sometimes it doesnt. Footage that is sourced from mapped network drives, for example where W: drive refers to \\Gfxserver2\graphics2, will have problems.
The best way is to use the UNC paths from the begining of the projects construction, then there is never an issue, and the project will always be portable, but if you forget or cant be bothered, or think that using network rather than local paths is slowing you down, ...
1) save your project,
2) open your project on another machine
3) reload one of the missing footage files ... the rest should fill themselves in, if they dont they are probably on another drive
4) check the output is network pathed
5) save the project, and submit that version to the render farm
Ultimately, for this project to network render successfully, the source footage needs to be completely specified in a manner where it is accessable by any machine on the network, so use must be made of
\\computername\VolumeLetterDollarSign\foldername\foldername\imagename, or
\\computername\sharedvolume\foldername\foldername\imagename, or
\\computername\sharedfolder\imagename methods.
Output Footage Paths and Render Settings
Once the source files have been amended to include a full network pathname, the parameters for the render can be set.
STEP ONE
In the Render Queue window, firstly choose a single frame Output Module, such as TARGA or JPEG; a single file streamed format, like an AVI, MPEG, or Quicktime Movie CAN NOT be created by more than one computer at one time. However if your render queue has multiple single file streams queued, multiple render slaves can render the multiple queued streams, with one slave rendering one of the streams at a time two or more render slaves cannot render the same stream at the same time.
STEP TWO
In the Render Settings, make sure you turn off storage overflow and turn on skip existing frames so that once any frames that have been network rendered, those frames will not be rendered again by another machine.
STEP THREE
The destination for the outputted animation should include the full network pathname, so that all the outputted files end a up in the same place.
Warning: If local paths are inadvertently used here the rendered files could be scattered over any local hard drive of the machines that will be rendering the animation, and each rendering machine would not be able to determine which frames had been rendered by other machines, so each machine could end up rendering the entire sequence itself, it the drive letter exists on that rendering machine.
Again it doesnt really matter which of the network naming methods is employed; either
\\computername\VolumeLetterDollarSign\foldername\foldername\imagename, or
\\computername\sharedvolume\foldername\foldername\imagename, or
\\computername\sharedfolder\imagename will work.
STEP FOUR
The project with its network pathed source and output files specified, and render queue setup would then be saved. -
Cannot get Genius to work - Always get same error message - "Genius results can't be updated right now. The required file cannot be found." Problem also seems to be affecting iCloud aand Music Match. Can anyone help me with this? What file is missing and from where?
This is a known problem with Windows 7 Enterprise using certain Group Policy settings. Solution for me was to use another machine running Windows 7 Ultimate.

JDBC receiver adapter with multiple stored procs error
Hi all,
I am doing a scenario IDOC-XI-JDBC. The destination system in MS SQL server 2000. I am passing variant config information to update the destination tables by triggering the same stored procedure multiple times with different parameters.
Everything is correct, but JDBC adapter is giving me the following error
Unable to execute statement for table or stored procedure. 'mk_EditAllowedLowerSpineImprintingOptions_proc' (Structure 'CallProc') due to java.lang.IllegalArgumentException
My payload looks like this. This is just a partial payload, the blocks of CallProc continue till the CallsRemaining number reaches zero(0).
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
- <ns0:MT_UPDATEPERSONAVARIANTS xmlns:ns0="urn:sd:sales:sapvarianttablestopersona">
- <CallProc>
- <Update_Persona_Variants action="EXECUTE">
<table>mk_EditAllowedLowerSpineImprintingOptions_proc</table>
<AlbumType type="CHAR">7SPEC</AlbumType>
<UpperSpineImprintingOption type="CHAR">UST</UpperSpineImprintingOption>
<LowerSpineImprintingOption type="CHAR">NOL</LowerSpineImprintingOption>
<EffectiveDate type="DATE">20040503</EffectiveDate>
<CallsRemaining type="INTEGER">27</CallsRemaining>
</Update_Persona_Variants>
</CallProc>
- <CallProc>
- <Update_Persona_Variants action="EXECUTE">
<table>mk_EditAllowedLowerSpineImprintingOptions_proc</table>
<AlbumType type="CHAR">7SENT</AlbumType>
<UpperSpineImprintingOption type="CHAR">UST</UpperSpineImprintingOption>
<LowerSpineImprintingOption type="CHAR">LSP</LowerSpineImprintingOption>
<EffectiveDate type="DATE">20040503</EffectiveDate>
<CallsRemaining type="INTEGER">26</CallsRemaining>
</Update_Persona_Variants>
</CallProc>
- <CallProc>
- <Update_Persona_Variants action="EXECUTE">
<table>mk_EditAllowedLowerSpineImprintingOptions_proc</table>
<AlbumType type="CHAR">7SPEC</AlbumType>
<UpperSpineImprintingOption type="CHAR">UST</UpperSpineImprintingOption>
<LowerSpineImprintingOption type="CHAR">LSP</LowerSpineImprintingOption>
<EffectiveDate type="DATE">20040503</EffectiveDate>
<CallsRemaining type="INTEGER">25</CallsRemaining>
</Update_Persona_Variants>
</CallProc>
......CallProc blocks continue till CallRemaining reaches zero.
I also tried making CallProc element appear just once in XML and repeating <Update_Persona_Variants> blocks like below
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
- <ns0:MT_UPDATEPERSONAVARIANTS xmlns:ns0="urn:sd:sales:sapvarianttablestopersona">
- <CallProc>
- <Update_Persona_Variants action="EXECUTE">
</Update_Persona_Variants>
<Update_Persona_Variants action="EXECUTE">
</Update_Persona_Variants>
</CallProc>
</ns0:MT_UPDATEPERSONAVARIANTS >
but still i get the same error.
Can anyone guide me what is wrong.Well,
The problem was with the way date was passed to the stored procedure, i just needed to format the date to yyyy-mm-dd and the error was solved. The error given by the JDBC adapter was not correct. I tried using logSQLStatement additional parameter, but for stored procedures it does not give out the actual SQL statement being fired. I was able to find the error in log files found on WAS server in transaction AL11.
So i suggest to everyone having issues with JDBC adapter, please do not trust the error given in runtime workbench, always crosscheck in the logs in AL11 at the following location in your XI box
DIR_INSTANCE\J2EE\CLUSTER\SERVER0\log. Here find date and time when you triggered your scenario and search for your table name or stored proc name, the java dump will give you a good information.
I am giving points to everyone anyways.
Thanks
Pulin

We are using JMS adapter, the partner system that connects to XI wants to see a list of technical errors messages to handle the errors. Where can I find a standard list of technical XI error messages that get passed to the JMS?
