BSOD when I connect my ZEN Neeon to my

Hi,
As said in the subject title.. My computer goes to the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) each time I connect my Zen Neeon mp3 to it. This is the first time this has happened, just recently it started doing this, I've connected and disconnected the MP3 and the same thing happened 3 times in a row.
Is there anyway to fix this and ways to prevent it's
I took a photo of what comes up on my camera, so if I need to post it let me know. "fastfat.sys" is the technical error problem, that's what it says on the BSOD.

Hey,
Well somehow I've fixed the problem. I did some things?before I tried connecting the MP3 to my computer but whatever I did, it fixed it. I installed some Windows Updates and then connecting and disconnecting the MP3 quickly because apparently that does something - not sure though, so it could've easily just been updating my Windows Update.
I didn't even have to download that Microsoft hotfix - thanks for the link though
Cheers!

  • My PC doesn't 'react' when I connect my Zen Microphoto

    Hello,
I'm Michel van Gelder and I have a problem with my Zen Microphoto. I am going to try to explain my problem in proper english, but english isn't my main language, so please forgive me if i make terrible mistakes or something.
    My problem is:
If I connect my Zen to my PC it says something like, what do you like to do, but when i click on an option it says: Media Device isn't connected. And also when I connect it, a symbol appears in the right corner, next to all the others, but when I try to do something with it's(with right mouse button or something) it disappears. The result is that, with everything i try, the PC says that my mp3 isn't connected. While 've installed all the software properly etc.
I have this MP3 for 2 years now, and I've never had this problem. Until 2 weeks ago, when we had to reinstall our computer. So my question actually was: Is there something wrong with my Zen or with my PC. And, what can I do about it's
I hope someone knows the answers to my questions. Thank you very much
    Michel van Gelder

  • When I connect my Zen V Plus to my computer, it doesnt show I have it connec

As the title says, my computer can't read that I have my v plus connected. I am using windows vista, and am very disapointed that I can't do any thing with my new mp3 player. Any one know why it would be doing this?

I have the same problem, when i connect my zenvplus mp3 player all it dose is loading the battery, but my computer cant find it... So i looked in to the manual and on the first page they said "DO NOT connect your player to your computer befor setting up the software" and guess what? I did connect it to charge the battery so they would be full when i started the installation of the software. I have tryed uninstall the software and follow the manual but the same outcome. So i jumped over to a friend of mine that have the exakt same player and pluged it in there with my usb cable (I used my usb cable so i would know that it wasent wrong with it). And it worked all fine, no problems at all. Oh, btw, i use windows xp not vista...
I called the (Sweden) support line but they where closed, but the message whas so bad i could not realy hear what time they where open, guess i have to try tomorrow.
So what can i do now? Reinstall the windows? Becos reinstalling the softwhere dident to the trick...

  • Computer can't connect to Zen MicroPhoto. Strange sou

When I connect my Zen MicroPhoto to my computer's USB port and turn on the Zen Micro Media Explorer, it'ssaid my device is not connected (although it had). • Problems with connection Creative zen M and DVD-CD pla

    Hi,
I have problems whem i connect my zen to the DVD player. I've connected zen with a cable going from the headphones to the audio line in (red and white) at the back of the DVD system. I get sound but the problem is that my zen automaticly switch to the FM radio mode, when it should be playing from the music libary. This happens by 70% of the numbers. How can I deal with this problem?
Problem 2 is that I hear a strong noise when I connect my zen to the DVD player. It's al low sound which comes back in all the 5 boxes en sounds like a bee...
Problem 3 is that I can't get the full volume on the DVD system. Even when zen is max on 25 i've to put the DVD system also max before a normal sound is coming to me...
Can anybody please help me? Thanks!

    Hi there,
. The reason the ZVM is switching to fm radio is because the headphone jack also supports a wired remote that controls some of the ZVM functions there will be some sort of back feed from your DVD head unit to the ZVM causing this to happen.
    2. The headphone jack does carry a bit of noise when used with line in applications and compared to the line out function of the ZVM is muffled and lacks power(this also could be noise in your DVD unit).
    3. Same as above(2) the A/V out function has a set volume and is louder and much clearer than the headphone out jack.( The line out is the A/V out function of the ZVM found in the supplied adaptor that plugs into the bottom of the ZVM)
To overcome this problem simply use the line out function of the ZVM either through the dongle and an A/V cable or get an after market cable to suit and that should solve your problems with this type application.
Let us know how you go with it
    Heres the bits
    http://us.creative.com/products/prod...7&product=4484
Or you can search for a cable that plugs straight into the bottom of the ZVM and has rca's on the other end, you should be able to find then via a search here or through epizenter.net in one of the threads

  • BSOD Caused by connection.

When my brand new iPod touch is plugged into my computer [running on windows xp] I get the BSOD, also known as the Blue Screen Of Death.
I've heard of others having this problem and that it's most probably caused by the current iTunes, or firmware update on the touch itself.
    Anyone help? Please?

    Hi all,
I had a similar problem: iPod worked fine for 2 days and then started causing BSOD when I connected it (XP SP3).
Doing all the things in the KB did not solve my problem.
Eventually I found out that the iPod is causing a 'camera' device driver to be installed too.
Disabling this device seems to solve the problem.
(Device can be disabled after you start XP in safe mode)
Please let me know if this solves your problems as well.
    Bert
PS: Apple, where did you hide this camera...

  • Zen Neeon Recharge on LCD screen even though not connected er

I purchased a Creative Zen Neeon 6 gig MP3 player last December 2005. I'm not having trouble where I can connect the MP3 Player to the computer, it will recognise the device and all the songs stored...what happen is when i safely remove it from the USB cable the Neeon will turn on, show the creative logo and then show the USB charging action on there even though it's not connected....Has anyone else experienced this problem? I've tried re-setting it but again the USB recharge action on the LCD appears again...Anyone fixed this? Any help appreciated, thought i'd try here first before contacting tech support again...

I tried clean up already, as stated above. Since then I have also tried reformatting the player again, adding new music, and retrying the clean up. The player seems to recognize that there is music on there when it builds the library, because the more music I have uploaded the longer it takes, but when it fully boots up it still shows NO MUSIC at all, no tracks, no artists, nothing.

  • Zen Neeon 'Frozen' at Creative Logo when inserted into U

add me to the list of people who's Neeon freezes at the creative logo when connected to a USB port.
I've tried to boot into the recovery mode, and the device appears as a 'player recovery device' however when the firmware update tries to update, the 'player recovery device' disappears, and windows tells me a USB device has malfunctioned and that i should re-insert it. which then makes the firmware update fail, as it loses the connection to the player.
My Neeon is now a couple weeks expired from the 2 month warranty. as i bought it last year for my Xmas present. which means i'm pretty much stuck with a paperweight now as the knowledge base doesn't help me one bit and e-mail support wasn't exactly helpful either, as i only ever got replies that needed the player to connect to the PC. when it's not even getting to the stage where it will talk to the PC properly.
i've always supported creative players, as they're about the same price as the consumer-tastic ipods, but offer many more features, and then this happens as soon as the warranty expires, which is really just like a kick in the face.
if there's any way to workaround this that anyone knows of, i would love to hear from you, because i'd rather not have to spend any money to buy another player. (and chances are, it won't be a creative one)

Yes I have been dealing with the same problem until the creative.com helped me.Here the solution :
Creative Mass Storage Driver .07.00.250 (3.24 MB)
    http://sg.creative.com/support/downloads/download2.asp?Product=224&dlcentric=8983&Product_N ame=Zen+Neeon+5GB%2F6GB&OSName=Windows+XP
After that, download the following firmware and use the below method to
check if the player can be detected. If yes, reload the firmware to your
    player to resolve the issue.
The firmware can be download from the below link:
Creative Zen Neeon Firmware .0 (2.5 MB)
    http://sg.creative.com/support/downloads/download2.asp?MainCategory=23&Product=224&dlcentri c=9534&Product_Name=ZEN+Neeon+5GB%2F+6GB&OSName=Wi ndows+XP
    To install this firmware upgrade:
. Press and hold the Play button while connecting your player to your
    computer's USB port.
    2. Continue to hold the Play button for 0 seconds after connecting your
    player to your computer.
    3. Release the Play button when the Find New Hardware dialog box appears
    on the screen.
    4. Follow the instructions on the screen to install recovery drivers for
    your player.
    5. Download the ZenNeeon_PCFW_LF__0_FM.exe file into your local hard
    disk.
    6. Double-click the firmware upgrade file and follow the instructions on
    the screen.
I wish This could help you, as did it to me.(And sorry for my poor english)

  • BSOD when using Itunes And/Or when connecting IPOD classic

I have started getting a blue screen of death (BSOD)when opening Itunes followed by opening Iexplorer after a computer restart. I also get the same error when connecting the Ipod 80gb classic, it may take 3 or 4 attempts to get the Ipod conencted, initial recognition but then "ok to disconnect" within 10 seconds.
    Error code is 1000007e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 804e83e8, parameter3 f7938a68, parameter4 f7938764. with no driver of sys file identified.
Currently driving (no pun intended) me crazy. I have updated all drivers I can think of, uninstalled and reinstalled Itunes and Apple Ipod device drivers with no solution.
    Thanks

  • ThinkPad W530 with Windows 8 x64 Pro BSOD when connecting to projector

Nine, that only covers Widows 7. Many people in this thread have reported the problem using Windows 8. Has that been addressed by Lenovo yet? Stability problems like this should NEVER be allowed to go so long without a resolution.
Edit Note : This thread was created base from the previous thread "ThinkPad W530 with Windows 7 x64 Pro BSOD when connecting to projector. As we currently Cx reporting facing the same issue on Win8 I have seperated this thread in order not toconfuse other customer. For cutomers facing this issue please continue posting in this thread.

    Hi shan_mcarthur,
Thanks for posting. I read through this thread again and noticed that most of customers here do indeed have Windows 7 installed as what the title represented unless I'm mistaken or may have missed out are you or anyone else here facing the same issue on Windows 8. If that is the case I'll be more than happy to bring this up with the teams but it will have to be a new thread though as I'd like to keep the resolution separate based on the OS use just to not confuse other customer .
For those facing the same issue above on Win8, please do let me know so we can start a discussion around this.
    Do let me know.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

  • Zen Neeon Trou

I've had my Zen Neeon (6GB) for about 2 months and have recently started having problems with it. When playing it has started taking a much longer time to change songs almost like it's freezing in between song changes and when this happens it takes a few goes before being able to turn it off. I originally thought it might have something to do with the battery, but it doesn't seem to be anything connected to it. Any help would be great. Thanks!Message Edited by steph0202 on 0-03-2007:09 PM

I am having the same problem with my Zen Neon (6GB). It starts up very slow and takes a long time to load different screens. It actually stopped playing songs now. Seems like it has trouble?loading the songs. The radio FM works though. Please advise someone how to fix it. I tried?resetting but?the same problem?continues. Please?advise. Thanks.

  • Zen Neeon Only Turns to Charge Scr

I've had my Zen Neeon for about a year now, and just randomly yesterday (hadn't damaged it or anything- I was listening to it, put it away then went to get it again) when I tried to turn it on it turns to the charge screen. The charging icon is showing as well, however there is no USB or charger connected to the MP3 Player. I am unable to get it to the normal music screen, meaning I can't listen to anything. The only way I can get it off the charging screen is by resetting it or waiting for the battery to die. Can anyone explain why this has happened? Please!

flydoctor: Have you tried a disk cleanup? See the FAQ post.
I assume the wall adapter is by Creative at least? If it doesn't fully charge in 4 hours using this then the player sounds faulty, although it's odd that it will charge from some USB ports.

  • Zen Neeon H

when my zen neeon play some mp3 file it get's hang, i scanned with Norman antivirus and it hang when scanned the same file, when i deleted it hang again(connected PC).but it's ok playing the other mp3 file, help me...
can i formated the mp3 player from windows explorer(FAT)?
or any ather way to fix it's
i had it for 5 month.
    so please help me....

Does it hang with the same file? If so, it's the file and not your player. Some files could be corrupt or just a format that players have trouble with (like WMA DRM in some cases). If that's the case, remove the file and it should be fine.

  • Zen Neeon 6GB, charging via AC Adapt

I have Zen Neeon 6GB player. When I connect my player to Creative's AC charging adapter there is no indiacation of charging. But when I connect it to my computer's usb port the battery icon flashes. Is it charging or not?

It appears that generic usb chargers do not work properly with the micro photo.
It has to do something with the micro photo's usb jack not being entirely compatible with them. The device isnt recieving enough power using these chargers.
I tried quite a few, none worked.
It seems that if the micro photo isnt pulsing, its not being charged properly.
When I connect it to my dvd player through usb, it does indeed pulse and charges at normal speed.
I'm afraid that the only way is to buy the original charger from creative...
