BSOD with VF0560

I bought this LiveCam earlier in the year & it worked fine. Now it's causing a Blue Screen crash every time I try to use it.
I have downloaded the latest driver.
My PC/OS hasn't changed, still a 64bit system running Windows 7.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Was there any change in hardware & software configuration?
Connect the webcam to another USB port to see if makes a difference. If possible test the webcam on another computer, that should tell you if the webcam is working properly.

  • IPod Touch gives BSOD with iTunes 8 and Windows Vista

For almost a year I have used my iPod Touch (v1.1.3) and Nano with Windows Vista and iTunes almost perfectly. This was until last week when I upgraded to v8.
Now iTunes still works well with the Nano but i get the BSOD when I try and plug in the Touch. I have never had the BSOD with Vista until now.
I have read that alot of other people are having a similar problem. Is there a fix to this? New driver?
Please tell me Apple are aware of this problem and generating a fix if its not already done.
    many thanks

I have a similar problem, with my new iPod Touch crashing an XP Professional setup. It's worth noting that the Apple article also talks about potential USB conflicts with other devices on the system that might have bad drivers. They say the solution, if that is the fault, is to make sure all your USB drivers are good. I'll try that, by a process of elimination, before re-installing iTunes (as I thought I had the latest version and I don't have Vista). I'll come back here later to report the outcome.
(serious if your iPod crashed your PC - can't even charge its battery ! )

  • E2500 Wireless Causing Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) with My Company's VPN (AT&T Net Client)

Since recently replacing my home router with a Linksys E2500, I have been getting Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) with my Company's VPN (AT&T).  It only happens when I am running wireless with my E2500.  If I am hooked up to my E2500 through a ethernet cable it doesn't happen.  I have updated the BIOS on my Lenovo Thinkpad T410 and ensured all of my drivers are up to date.  I am  99.9% sure the problem is caused by my Linksys E2500 because I have used my laptop on other wireless routes at work and school and never get this problem.  I am also ensured that my E2500 has the current firmware installed and upgraded my Company's VPN to the most current level to no avail.
I am getting DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Blue Screen of Death in agnfilt.sys.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The symptoms you describe could be symptomatic of a variety of things to include hardware/software issues, overheating caused by a failed processor fan, bad memory (RAM), failing or underpowered power supply, CPU overheating, motherboard, video card, faulty or unsigned device drivers, CMOS battery going bad, BIOS and firmware problems, dirty hardware components, programs hanging or unresponsive in the background, and even malware. If the computer is overheating, it usually begins to shutdown/restart on a more regular basis.
If the machine is only crashing at home after establishing a connection but not at work when establishing a connection, then its probably an issue with your network configuration or something (i.e. wireless adapter) causing a conflict and not a malware issue.
The DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error is usually due to a bad driver or faulty/incompatible hardware or software. This error condition means that a kernel-mode process or driver tried to access a memory location to which it did not have permission, or at a kernel Interrupt ReQuest Level (IRQL) that was too high.

  • BSOD with both Kernal Security Check Error and Bad Pool Header.

    All -
I have a HP DV7 laptop with Windows 8.1. It has BSOD with both Kernal Security Check Error and Bad Pool Header.
Despite doing all the built in HP tests, there is nothing. Using an Anker HardDrive Dock results in the identical errors on another machine.
Bottom line, even if I could see the DMP files (which I cannot); because the machine fails to boot, there are no files to be copied.
I have tried various AIO and UEFI disks and USB, and the laptop NEVER accepts the PREINSTALL environment. Being unable to use the Anker has never happened. I seem completely locked out of the drive. Any suggestions? Thx.
    Bruce A Ades

    Hi Texas_Bruiser
Some required details are needed for us to help you.
Ensure that the BIOS/UEFI has been configured to allow boot from DVD/CD or USB.
When you attempted to boot into PREINSTALL environment (PE) by using disks or USB, we need more details about error message or what happened?
If your computer cannot even boot into Windows PE by using installation media, we suggest you check if memory and other hardware are works properly on this computer. Also try to plug this hard disk on other computer as data volume, see if the hard disk works.

  • Itunes BSOD with ipod attached

Alright, I just got my ipod yesterday but I haven't been able to get any songs on it at all. The problem is anytime I hook up the ipod video to the usb port (I have tried all my available ports) windows seems to read the ipod fine but as soon as you start itunes you get a BSOD error 0x000023 (which has to do with some sort of fat file system fastfat.sys, the file system of the ipod). Now I have never had problems with this and my computer at all so I decided to head to a few other computers and try it, it does the same thing BSOD with the 0x000023 error. So I figure it has to do something with the ipod, diagnostic mode tests all work fine though. I have tried installing and reinstalling itunes several times. Anyone have any suggestions?

That's what it was in the process of doing before this happened. It was working perfectly fine with Itunes but I decided to do the restore option to whipe it clean and start over, waited about 2 hours, it seemed Itunes had frozen so I decided to reboot my computer. The Ipod seems like all the folders are working perfectly fine. I would try to reformat it again but I can't get it into Itunes to get to the restore fuction again without it BSODing again.

  • BSOD with PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

When I started my Lenovo B575 Windows 7 laptop today morning, the system started to install Windows updates. After installing the updates, the system rebooted and went to the Lenovo Boot Optimizer utility. This utility finished and then rebooted the system once again. The reboot ended in a BSOD with PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA error.
I tried the Startup Repair utility, as suggested, this gives me a message that it is unable to repair and asks me to disconnect ant external devices and try again, or contact the hardware manufacturer for assistance. I tried using the system restore - this gave me a message that there was nothing to restore from. I tried booting based on the last known good configuration, as well as in the same mode, all resulted in the BSOD with the same error message.
I do not have the reinstal discs.
Any advice or help would be appreciated.
    -AtWitsEnd

    Thanks for the info.
I tried the same procedure on my laptop and got BSOD each time. I then gave up and proceeded with a reinstall of Windows 7. Fortunately, I still had the contents of the Lenovo partition intact, so I could reinstall all the drivers. Windows update then prompted that I had some 130+ updates to be installed. I scrolled through them, deselected all udpates dated 01-Nov or later and installed the balance. So far, it is OK. I plan to take a backup and then install the Nov-2013 updates one by one (since I am pretty sure my issue was to do with a update).

I have to get this working by tomorrow so I'm quite anxious but heres the story.
My Hp elitebook folio 9470m has died on me last Friday and said it had to restart, when it did it gave me a blank black screen only after letting it rest for a day did it show me a BSOD with the error 0xc00000f, and after pressing enter, the message saying that winload.exe is missing or corrupt comes up. I've tried to use the disk but when I press enter, the screen just refreshes itself but does nothing otherwise.
Would appreciate any help to make my lap top starting again. I dont care whether it's a forced wipe as long as I can get it working ASAP! Thanks in advance!

    Hello Airztonne,
    Your computer will not boot.
    Do a hard reset.
    Turn the computer off.
Remove the power cable and the battery.
Hold down the power button for 15 sec while booth power sources are removed.
This should reset the hardware in the computer.
As you power it back on tap the F2 key. This will load hardware diagnostics.
    Run the startup test.
This will test all the hardware in the system and detect any problems.
If the entire tests pass, turn off the computer.
As you turn it back on tap the F10 key. This will load BIOS setup utility.
    Press F9 to load defaults.
Press F10 to save and exit.
When the computer boots back up, check to see if everything is working.
If your still not able to boot you can try to restore the computer to factory setting by tapping the F11 key as you power on the computer, and selecting the recovery options.
Let me know how everything goes.

  • HP Pavilion DV6; Black Screen & Atikmpag.sys BSOD with external Monitor

    Hello Guys.
I have HP Pavilion DV6 Core i7 with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 Graphics Card. Two weeks ago, I started getting continous Atikmpag, sys BSODs. The operating system also started giving me warnings about the hardrive. After a few days, the BSODs got more frequent. Then one day, I was doing normal stuff on my PC and the Display Driver crashed. Instead of recovering, the PC froze. I forced restart my PC but it got worse. The display of my laptop went black. I connected the laptop to external monitor which detected the display. When I tried to load the windows, it started giving me the Atikmpag.sys BSOD on the start up. Now the operating system works fine in the Safe Mode but with nothing on the laptop's screen. The soultions I have tried so far are.
    -Reinstalled the windows thrice
-Removed the drivers and installed the updated ones a bunch of times.
-Rolled back the bios to an earlier version
-Removed the hardrive and tried to load it from an operating system installed on external flash drive
-Tried loading the PC with linux on external flash drive
-Opened the laptop and cleaned it thoroughly
-Removed all the components and plugged them one by one.
-Removed the old Atikmpag.sys in system32 folder and expanded it with the latest ones.
-Installed every thing fresh from HP website
None of these tricks have given me any luck yet. The only way, I could use the operating system in normal mode, is to delete the atikmpag.sys file in safe mode and then log on back in normal mode. I also analysed the minidump file through window debugger and it says that atikmpag.sys is causing this crash with the TDR message. I did all these with an external monitor as the display of the laptop is black since that day.
Below are the detailed specs of my laptop.
OS Name: Microsoft Windows 7 (64 bit) Home Premium
    Version: 6.1.7601
System Model: HP Pavilion Dv6 Notebook PC
    Processor: Intel Core i7 Q 721 @ 1.60 GHz
    Bios Version/Date: Hewlett- Packard F.29, 11/7/2011
    Installed Physical Memory (RAM): 6GB
Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1 GB
I have tried almost every solution available on these forums but still have not gotten any where. I am wondering how could the display, graphics card and hard drive stop working at the same time .
I would really appreciate if someone colud help me through this problem.
    Thank you

  • Satellite L300-16L - BSOD with new RAM modules

    Hi,
I have got a Satellite L300-16L and am getting the same problem.
Got 2 x 1 GB Dimms standard and ordered 2 new 2GB Dimms. If I put the 2 new 2GB Dimms in I get the BSOD, Memtest also crashes as soon as it begins testing. If I place a 1 GB Dimm in the lower slot and a 2GB in the other windows boots fine, If I try to put the 2 GB in the lower slot and the 1 GB in the higher one it BSODs.
But If i put either 2 GB in on the lower slot on its own windows boots fine, mem test also can test both 2 GBs individually and says there are no issues.
Any ideas anyone? My laptop is supposed to support 4 GB I am sure of it.
    Thanks
    JJ

Who knows the point is that you got BSOD using new modules.
This means that modules are wrong or not compatible!!!!
So even the notebook would be able to handle the 4GB RAM, the BSOD is related to these new modules.
This would mean that you would have to use adn test other modules which are 100% compatible with this notebook
But as suggested by other users, the chipset is not 4GB capable! Therefore you will be not able to use 4GB RAM.

Here is the information from a BSOD crash months ago. I will try to gather the data on the next BSOD. I know this is a stupid question, but where would I find the serial number of this Lenovo Thinkpad 430s. I am certain I purchased this computer a little more than a year ago. The BSOD has been a problem from the beginning. I am a physician, retired, teaching Honors Anatomy & Physiology - pro bono- in a local high school. When the BSOD problem occurred, I just went to my old Apple MacBook and forgot about the T430s.

  • Solution to BSOD with Crucial drives

I *finally* have stable Lenovo W520 machines.  Here is what we had to do:  For the machines we put Crucial M4 drives in, we had to update to the latest Crucial firmware.  For the machines we had Crucial C300 drives in, we had to remove the intel divers and let Windows install the Microsoft drivers.  With these fixes, we no longer have BSOD errors in Windows 7.

Just got my MacBook Pro back, and supposedly the superdrive was replaced. However, it still can't read the commercial music CD that it had problems with before -- gets stuck at exactly the same place. (Other computers have no trouble with this CD). I think I'll wait and see if this subpar drive performance turns out to be a real pain or not. Also, maybe in 6 months Apple will have worked out the problems with the superdrive.

  • Vista 64-Bit BSOD with iTunes v8.0.2.20 & AppleTV v2.3

Before upgrading iTunes, everything worked perfectly - AppleTV, Syns & iTunes.
Since upgrading to iTunes 8.0.2.20, my Vista 64-Bit Home Premium blue screens (BSOD). This occurs when I have simply had iTunes playing some music after a while, or more often than not, when trying to Sync with the AppleTV running v2.3
I also get he silly port error on iTunes saying that the AppleTV. I can only resolve this either quiting iTunes and waiting about 5 minutes or quitting iTunes AND rebooting the AppleTV!
Have searched Apple forums, Google, etc. and am the end of my patience!
Can someone suggest what I should do.

    Mate, you are my HERO!!!!!
I had the EXACT same problem but on 2G iPhone 8GB, v2.2.1 and taking several hours to get to 60% done, then craps out with some arcane error message.
I followed previous threads and other forum suggestions to:
    a) Clear out corrupted backups
    b) Reset iPhone
    c) Even removed Stanza, which someone suggested could be the problem as he had alot of eBooks on it
    But none worked for me.
I do have AppSniper and used it daily for what must have been several months.... so imagine all those icons cached on it with nearly 100 new apps displayed daily! It took over 2mins to clear the cache, and I now have "Show Icon" disabled.
    The backup FINALLY WORKED!!!!
It took just over 15mins to backup, and I'm proud to say that I can see the backup intact on the iTunes Preferences > Devices panel!!!!
You are my hero! Thank you thank you thank you for putting up this solution!!!!!

  • ITunes Causing Vista BSOD with RAID Errors

This thread is here to collate as much information and posts on the problem regarding BSODs occuring in Windows Vista and causing RAID errors to occur.
What Happens: Start iTunes and start performing a hard drive intensive task (Importing, converting etc). iTunes will seem to 'freeze', in some cases up to five minutes, but will regardless cause Windows Vista to BSOD. On restart the RAID array will complain of errors. Most cases are that restarting again and clearing the error will be fine, though there are some reports that people have had to rebuild their array.
Common Elements: Windows Vista, iTunes, Intel RAID Chipsets (ICH6R, ICH7R and ICH8R chipsets reported so far.

Custom Intel based Generic PC   Windows XP Pro   750GB NAS Storage, DVDRW DL, 5th Gen 80GB iPod, 2nd Gen 8GB Nano (Both Black)
I'm running a dual boot with WinXP Pro SP2 as the primary OS, Vista RC1 on separate partition. I had Vista Ultimate (RC1) Release Candidate 1, a pre-release version of Vista up and running with iTunes version 7.1.1. Updating My Library, when system crashed and trashed my array.
I was running 2 400GB WD's when my RAID 1 erred. The array corrupted and after limping through several array rebuilds and Windows repairs, Win XP finally died and was unrecoverable.
I originally suspected an issue with Vista & iTunes, especially since I was running a pre-release version of Vista then I remembered reading a recent WD Support issue about some newer WD SATA Gen 2 drives failing in RAID arrays.
To make a long story short, thank God for my back-up NAS Drives, I lost my array. Traced the problem to a Raid compatibility issue with the WD drives running in full SATA ATA Gen 2 transfer rate mode and the Intel ICHR8 SATA RAID Controller. They don't play nice together when stressed with large file transfers. Replaced WD's with two Seagate 750's in RAID 1, running full SATA Gen 2 mode and have had no problems since.
Check out WD's Support forums, if you have newer WD's I'll bet it's a SATA RAID / Drive issue more than iTunes and Vista.

  • BSOD with iTunes 7.0, 7.0.1

Since installing iTunes 7, my windows computer crashes with a blue screen of death EVERY time I run the program. I am using XP Home and this NEVER happens with ANY other program...It seems that it is trying to analyze gap-free information for all the songs in my library...there are about 30,000 songs...it is also downloading podcasts when the BSOD occurs.
    1. What gives? Anyone else having this happen to them? If so, is there a workaround?
    2. Can I roll back to iTunes version 6.x?
    3. Whaaaaaaaaaaaa!

    INVALIDPROCESS_ATTACHATTEMPT
good lord, jeroly. that's the first time i've ever seen a 0x05 in an itunes context.
Microsoft has some information on that one:
You receive the Stop error "Stop 0x05 (INVALIDPROCESS_ATTACHATTEMPT)" in Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows Server 2003
... but if no joy with that, let's get a minidump to the Apple Engineers for a look.
To set up your machine to capture a minidump, right click on "My Computer", select "Properties", select the "Advanced" tab, select the "Startup and Recovery" Settings button, select "small memory dump" from the popup. When it crashes, look for the MiniDump file. It's usually in the folder "C:\WINDOWS\Minidump" and is called something like Mini<number>-<number>.dmp.
collect the minidump, and send it as an attachment to this email address.
in the email to Roy, be sure to include the following information:
    - A link to the thread on Apple Discussions where the issue is being discussed
    - The username you are using in the thread
    - The version of iTunes you are using or trying to use
    - The version of Windows you are using
    - A concise description of the issue you are seeing
