First check whether the hostid of the server is added in your system. And there is one more way to check whether the application is worked properly. Please go to the SICF transaction and execute. In that your application is under the bc/sap/<your application name> folder. Right click that and 'Activate the service' then 'Test Service'.
Finally you consult with your Basis guys.

BSP application not returning responses to Pocket IE

We have a BSP application which is running through Pocket Internet Explorer on a Symbol MC3090 WinCE5.0 handheld, barcode scanning device via a wireless network connection to our SAP servers. We have tested the application successfully at our home office, however when we deployed at our first site, we are experiencing issues where Pocket IE does not get a response back from the application, but appears to be awaiting a reply from the SAP server. The browser screen goes blank except for the Windows logo which is flashing indicating that a response is being sent. The users will wait several minutes but no response ever appears. At this point, the users are able to close Pocket IE and restart the transaction and run it through successfully, most of the time. We are at a loss as to how to debug this type of issue as we can't re-create it and aren't sure what to look for. Would this happen if an error occurs that isn't trapped? Our network appears to be running well, so we don't think it's that. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

you have to run the applications in the updated version to see if it all is Ok before calling it per RFC. It might be indeed a unicode problem.
if it is uncode problem how do we enable BSP appilcation for Unicode compatible in SRM 7.0.
You have to check the code of your applications in the SRM 7.0 and read the SAP note regarding changes between every version. You also have to familiarize with the new instructions and aggregates to existing instructions. There´s no other way.

Apple-made applications not connecting to internet on Mac

Hi there,
All of a sudden, any application made by Apple on my Mac, e.g. Safari, iTunes, Messages or Mail, will not connect to the Internet, despite the fact that I have a proper WiFi connection. Other apps such as Google Chrome, Viber and Spotify connect with no problems, and this happens over all WiFi networks. Sometimes, after I restart my MacBook Pro 13" retina, all internet services work for approximately 15 minutes, and then suddenly they all stop - it really is infuriating. Can anyone shed any light on this? I am using OS X 10.10 and all of my apps are fully updated.

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
The test works on OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later. I don't recommend running it on older versions of OS X. It will do no harm, but it won't do much good either.
Don't be put off by the complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it changes nothing. It doesn't send or receive any data on the network. All it does is to generate a human-readable report on the state of the computer. That report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you prefer, you can act on it yourself without disclosing the contents to me or anyone else.
You should be wondering whether you can believe me, and whether it's safe to run a program at the behest of a stranger. In general, no, it's not safe and I don't encourage it.
In this case, however, there are a couple of ways for you to decide whether the program is safe without having to trust me. First, you can read it. Unlike an application that you download and click to run, it's transparent, so anyone with the necessary skill can verify what it does.
You may not be able to understand the script yourself. But variations of it have been posted on this website thousands of times over a period of years. The site is hosted by Apple, which does not allow it to be used to distribute harmful software. Any one of the millions of registered users could have read the script and raised the alarm if it was harmful. Then I would not be here now and you would not be reading this message. See, for example, this discussion.
Nevertheless, if you can't satisfy yourself that these instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
4. Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
5. Try to test under conditions that reproduce the problem, as far as possible. For example, if the computer is sometimes, but not always, slow, run the test during a slowdown.
You may have started up in "safe" mode. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
6. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
7. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
8. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
9. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
10. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
11. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, a series of lines will appear in the Terminal window like this:

        The test results are on the Clipboard.
        Please close this window.

The intervals between parts won't be exactly equal, but they give a rough indication of progress. The total number of parts may be different from what's shown here.
Wait for the final message "Process completed" to appear. If you don't see it within about ten minutes, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, press the key combination control-C or command-period to stop it and go to the next step. You'll have incomplete results, but still something.
12. When the test is complete, or if you stopped it because it was taking too long, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
13. When you post the results, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "You are not authorized to post." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
14. This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak for themselves, not for me. BSP application not being pulled after the application of support packs

Support packs SP 35-42 were applied last week end and after that one of the three BSP applications in production server is not being pulled through SAP gui. If I take the URL and paste it in IE the same application is being pulled. We are suspecting that to be a web dispature issue or firewall issue. The land scape is like this. P20 is our production server and C20 is our QA server.P20 has Sun109 as a web dispature and C20 has Sun108 as webdispature. There is a firewall in between P20 and Sun 109 but there is no firewall in between C20 and Sun 108. We redirected P20 to Sun 108 to test and all the three applications pulled up. so we concluded that it could be an issue with SUN 109 or a firewall issue. I am new to this webdispature stuff. I need help in identifying which files I have to look in to identify any kind of such errors. it is confusing why other two applications are being pulled and only one is not being pulled into SAP gui. We debugged the code and every thing is working fine. this is an urgent issue to be resolved.These application were developed long back and the developer did not leave any documentation how the hand shake is done between the web dispature and the SAP system.We are supporting the production system now. I appreciate any one responding as soon as posible.

"Email for Nokia" application not connected to con...

I am using the "Email for Nokia – 10 Accounts" application (as it is named in the OVI-store) to send/receive my mail. Works pretty good using the application itself. However, when I want to send an email by first opening a contact on my E71 phone, it shows a pop-up that says the needed settings from Messaging are not present. So it looks like this push email application is not connected to the default email menu's of the E71 phone. Is there a way to solve this or "just the way it works"?

Very upset with Nokia's tech support service, taking so long not calling back after contacting them. Finally I found a work around. After reinstall the email software, setup a new email account never used with Nokia email before. Then the software will setup correctly instead using the messaging folder. This is a bug with the Nokia email software and the new firmware. OR the Nokia email software is intended to do it that way because it's a trial version. It just let you try it for the first time of installation.

Outlook exchange e mail application and web application not connected

Hello Everybody,
We have issue with 3 of our clients machine that face the same problems.
When they tried to launch outlook, the status of outlook application always showing that, "Trying to connect"
and when we tried them to log on to outlook web application, there is nothing to log on..i had tried to log on with 3 difference browsers, but still not work.. other website as yahoo or gmail are working fine..
We are using Microsoft Exchange.
Could you let me know what is the real issues with that?

When I tried them to access their e mail through out OWA, no error and i didn't see any display on the webpage and it was just blank!
Last thing, I deleted their user profiles and configure their exchange e mail to desktop outlook and everything working fine, error gone!
If you have any ideas, please let me know and i will bring that to fix future issues regarding this!

Applications not connecting..

I have Opera Mini pre installed in my X3, but when i start the app it says cannot connect to the internet. but i do have internet on my mobile which i can use from the nokia browser.
I m not able to use any of the internet apps because of this. Pls help!!

When using a proxy, setting up a separate location for that specific use keeps it from affecting your internet connection when you are connected to a different source than the Proxy. Different IP source = new location. Locations are set up in the Network Panel>Location Drop Down menu.
Here's a good guide:
Go to the System Preferences>Network panel
- Location - set up a personal location by clicking on the drop down menu and selecting "add a location". Use a name familiar to you. Once established, select "apply".
- Next, click on the "Show" drop down menu and select Network Port Configurations. Depending on whether you use Ethernet or Airport (wireless) for your setup: Only Ethernet or Airport ought to be checked. Move it to the top of the list (you can drag it). Select "apply".
- Back to the "Show" menu, select either "Ethernet" or "Airport". Click on the TCP panel. There, enter 208.67.222.220 and 208.67.220.222 (separate lines) in the DNS servers box and select "apply". Another alternative if you live in the US is to use Verizon's 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 codes. Also, you can always call your Internet Provider to find out if they have specific codes.
For any location requiring a Proxy, you would set it up specific for that location, but not for any other location.

Some applications not connecting to the internet [SOLVED]

Trying to install anything from AUR is no longer working, I always get 404 errors during the mkpkg when the source download tries to happen. I can't even grab the tarball from the terminal with curl using an https address. Happens on all packages.
Additionally, Dropbox is no longer seeing a connection to the internet.
I am not behind a proxy. I have never set up any proxy settings. I have a typical Comcast residential connection. Browsers access http and https just fine.
I honestly don't know where to start troubleshooting on this.
http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ shows all my ports are closed, but this should be normal as I'm not trying to serve anything from this computer.
Anyone that finds this. Still an unsolved problem.

When creating BSP applications, note the browser dependencies described in Note 598860.
steps:
1) start the transaction RZ10.
2) now u u have to select Profile name, so select the INSTANCE Profile from the list of options given with the Profile parameter list.U may find multiple instance profile in the list, so select the profile in which ur server name is given.
3) u will also find three options in the same window.
Administrator data, Basic Maintenance, and Extended Maintenance. So select the last one from that.
4) Now click on change button.
5) here u will find parameter icm/host_name_full, so now set it as FQDN.
6) Now copy ur settings with new version number.
7) Activate that version.
8) And now please restart ur WAS.
So this will set ur FQDN, and also don't forget to login using Admin User.
Now u also check for following service are active in your ICF setting or not,( just start transaction code SICF)

How a dailogbox can be triggered from BSP application

Hi,
1. My requirement is to show a dailogbox for confirmation, from the BSP application, whenever a user action is performed[clicked on a button].
This dailodbox sholud be triggered from the BSP application[not form the client side(JavaScript) logic/code ].
2. Is there any simpler way of showing a "success" message in a dailog box, from the BSP application

Try the following steps:
1. In the OnInputProcessing event triggered from the button's OnClick event, after your server-side processing, set a page attribute appropriately
(flag = 'success'.)
2. Call a javascript function in the OnLoad event in your layout:
<htmlb:page title = "Test" onLoad = "displayPopup()" >
3. Include the javascript function:
<SCRIPT language="JavaScript">
function displayPopup()
<%
IF flag IS NOT INITIAL.
%>
alert("Success");
<%
ENDIF.
flag = ''.
%>
</SCRIPT>
Basically, when the page is loaded/refreshed after your OnClick event, based on the value of flag you set, you could display appropriate messages.

Their could be any reason for that. Please tell us which message you are getting.
But still you can try some of these things.
1. Check the server IP configs in your Host File in your system windows files.
2. Check in transaction SICF weather your application is activated or not.
3. Check other required services in SICF , those should be activated.
Follow the path tocheck.. SAp->BC->BSP->SAP->
Ask your Admin person regarding this issue.

Internet explorer script error in BSP application

Hi,
I am receiving Internet Explorer script error when I try to navigate between different pages in a BSP application/navigate between diff page fragemnts within the sqame page.
Error - "An error occurred in the script on this page."
Line - 480, char - 33
error - Object expected
code - 0
URL - <Page URL>
Whether I click Yes or No to continue running the scripts, I still face the same issue.
The strange part is that this application runs fine in Prod system , but is giving error in Test and Dev systems. There is no difference in the code. There are no Java scripts used in this page. In the whole application as such, there are a few scripts being used.
The only difference is the Web dispatchers connected to these systems.
Please let me know in case of any pointers to this error.

The page in this URL does not have any JS being used.
Also, the target pages for this page also do not have any JS.
How come the application is working fine in Prod system and giving errors in Test system when no changes have been done to the application since atleast a month?
What are the factors which can create this diff behaviour?
Also, how can I check if a Java script has any error? Does Web Dispatcher have any role to play in this whole scenario?

AOL Broadband, will connect to laptop, but not connect to internet explorer. WRT54GS v.6

I can connect to my wireless network via my laptop, but not to internet explorer. We have changed every setting imaginable and re-set the modem, router many times. We Ip configed, did ping tests, installed and re-installed the card in the laptop. Done all this 4 times with the tech support from Linksys. Finally, I realized it must the wireless router and/or modem configuration. (The laptop works on every other network in town except ours, and has not security settings enabled).
I have been on customer service calls for 2 weeks, with AOL and linksys and nothing seems to be helping me. I have 2 wireless routers (thought the first was bad, so bought another brand new), and just had a brand new modem installed. Basically, I have brand new equipment.
The laptop has no security settings and connect to any wireless network in town. It finds the connection to my WRT54GS v.6, but will not connect via internet explorer.
I want to uninstall and re-install the router. How do I uninstall the router? (I have instruction for re-installation). Also AOL rep told me, to make sure I configure the router to a certain port range. Any ideas as to how to do this?
Anyone have problems with AOL high speed and linksys router? Has the high speed cable cord coming out of the wall, not ethernet or DSL.
We have changed the settings in http://192.168.1.1 till I am blue in the face. None of the channels worked, security didn't work, adding the ip address manually to the laptop didn't work. I am getting no error messages. Am trying to get this wireless modem working because I need it. Should have come to this forum first!

hi..if you want to uninstall the router...the only thing you need to do is hold the reset button down for 30 seconds...
i m a bit confused here as to why the ISP techs asked you to forward ports on the router...port forwarding is needed for a specific application or a device that is behind the router....
the mentioned ports are for AOL messenger ( AIM )....and has nothing to do with the modem...anyways , let us work out together on this issue...carry out the steps i mention and you can revert back with the results and your success rate...
1) connect the computer to the modem and check what ip address you have on the computer ??
2) go to start -> control panel -> network connections ->
let me know what other icons you have besides Local Area Connection and Wireless Network Connection..
3)connect the computer to the router and the router to the modem...
access the router using http://192.168.1.1 .. let the internet connection type be on DHCP....check the ip address on the status page of the router ui...
4) if it is 0.0.0.0 , go to setup tab and go to mac address clone subtab , enable it and hit clone..save the settings and do a power cycle...
5) check whether you have the ip address...if you have the same ip as coming off of the modem..u should be online and if still 0.0.0.0 , then select PPPoE for the internet connection type and enter the username and password...check whether the ip address comes up....if still negative, ensure that the modem is in bridge mode...
6)if the ip address comes up as 192.168.1.x , change the local ip add of the router to 192.168.2.1 and do a power cycle..

Help! My Zen Micro is detected but not connected to zen media explorer & mediasou

recently i just bought a creative zen micro at 5 GB. after installing all the drivers and programs using the installation CD that came with my player, I connected my player through the USB cable to my pc USB root hub.
an auto-detect of my zen micro window pops up at the righthand corner, prompting me to click 'organize' in the creative media source. clicking the organize option, mediasource program starts but while it is loading the music library, an error message: CTCMS, The program has performed a illegal operation......etc.
i tried disconnecting my player followed by opening the media source prog and connecting my player after that. another error message: file operation failed. please ensure that your player is properly connected.
I'm using windows 98 SE on an AMD processor. i was able to use the removable disk mode of my player to store data from pc. However when comes to the media mode of my player, it is shown as not connected status in the zen micro media explorer and in the creative media source program, it's either shown as not properly connected or illegal operation when loading music library from my player. in addition, under the device manager, the creative zen micro driver is shown as working properly. i was also able to upgrade my firm ware to version .02.05. using my pc to connect to my player. However, even before upgrading the firmware, this problem is already present. i have contacted the creative technical support helpdesk for advise on this issue and they have suggested to me various solutions such as checking my drivers if they are updated, reinstalling the drivers and software applications for the media library, installing jet engine service pack for my windows and the MDAC component but still nothing works.
anyone have any suggestions? pls help

Sorry I can't help you. I just wanted to let you know I have the same exact problem. It started three days ago and I've been going back and forth with creative support and nothing has worked. I am beginning to grow really distressed. I feel a little better now because after seeing that it's happening with someone else, it is most likely not the player. I am running windows 98 SE as well. I also have an AMD Duron processor. I have a new computer on the way with windows XP I really hope it works. But now I have a new problem. I listed it on the front page of this forum a few minutes ago. My player froze and now only boots up in rescue mode. I am getting so frustrated with my player. If you figure anything out will you be as kind as to send me a message on how you got your player working again? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
