BSP Iview Error?

HI Gurus,
I got a issue in BSP iview"Hap_Document" which is throwing a page cannot be displayed
I have checked the properties of Web As it seems to be very fine..........
Can you guys tell me what will be the root cause for this problem.
Higher points will be rewarded for the useful inputs.......

Hi Dharani,
For BSP applications, you have to maintain WAS server details as your R/3 server and HTTP Port(check Transaction SMICM), also host name should be fully qualified name. make required correction and test the application again... if you again get error send detail of error.

I am trying to get my e-Recruiting BSP applications to work correctly in the Portal. But unfortunatley I consistently get this error message.

anybody have any ideas how to troubleshoot this? I'm assuming it has to do with all the rest of the garbage parameters the Portal is sending to e-Recruit.

Obviously the BSP iView is configured wrong. Have closer look at the URLs:
BSP in native browser:
https://snocfrd1.myco.org/sap/bc/bsp/sap/hrrcf_start_int/application.do?rcfLogAppl=SEARCH_JOBS
BSP in Portal:
/sap/bc/bsp/sap/hrrcf_start_int/application.do/start?...
Obviously the iView contains a parameter start or you defined the BSP application name as application.do/start

BSP Iview error message : Access denied

We are using E-rec 600 via the standard BSPs (REQ_MNT_LST) in ECC 6.0.
The application runs fine in the browser without any problem.
I started creating BSP iview in Portal for this application. The Url is mentioned below :

I have given the BSP iview properties for this application as follows :
Application Namespace : rcfLogAppl=REQ_MNT_LST
BSP Application : hrrcf_start_int
Start page : application.do
The application starts fine in Portal via BSP iview. But, however when I click on any of the drops in the application. In the status bar, it show the message : Access denied.
I tried in other browsers also. Same problem persists. I am sure that the roles at backend and permissions in Portal are set properly.
Please shade some light where I missed the steps. awaiting for your valuable inputs. thanks for your time, point assured.

portal being on https and abap server on http is not the issue here.
the access denied error is a javascript error which will happen if the javascripts in the application tries to access js functions/dom elements from other frames or from other pages which are from different domains.
this requires the domain to be relaxed and when supports portal integration flag is checked the system automatically generates code which handles domain relaxation. with this check box checked you should not be having problem.
However i had the same problem even after setting portal integration flag. and my bsp application strucutre was on index.htm page and within that i had 4 frames. then i had to manually set the document.domain in index page which helped me to solve the access denied error.

Anonymous BSP iview on EP 7.0 throws exception

we are in ramp for NW04s and we are in the process of migrating our current Erecruite content from NW04 SPS14 to NW04s SPS7.
we have a few BSP iviews that access an erecruite BSP application. it all works fine as long as we access content as authenticated users. however when this content is assigned to the group Anonymous Users we get the following error for only iviews accessing the com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.BSP component.

we have assigned the authentication scheme 'anonymous' for all content and set the permissions.
is this a bug in EP 2004s SPS7 portal or we are misssing something.

How did you manage to resolve the BSP iView error for anonymous access ?
We are facing the same issue after we patched our portal NW04s to SP09.
The configuration was working until SP06, but the moment SP09 is put in place - the config is broken only for Anonymous user it gives us a error.

The log says:
Cannot process expression <System.client> because Invalid System Attribute: --> tells us that client parameter for SAP system running the BSP system is missing
System: 'SAP_LocalSystem', --> tells us that the BSP iView is using SAP_LocalSystem, that is the current portal
Try using a different system alias in the iView properties rather than SAP_LocalSystem. Specifically, you should use a system alias for a system object pointing to your ABAP system running the BSP, where the SAP client property should have a meaningful value.

Error using BSP iviews with Portal NW04s SP10

Has anyone tried using a BSP iview on the new NW04s Portal? After we installed the NW04s SP10 Portal, BSP iviews are not working. The error is that the iview is N/A.

Look SSO is the process to that u have to specify Credentaials only once and u can connect to backend system without giveing Credentials again.
Now the basic Thing is that user that u have loged in portal and User in Ur Backend Should be same for SSO to Work.
once SSO is configured properly then u can call ur BSP application's from back end without Giveing Credentials again for backend login.

BSP is working as a URL but not as a BSP iView

Hello,
I have created a certain BSP page.
If I open it's URL on the server directly: https://<server>:1443/sap/bc/bsp/sap/zgpd_upload/default.htm
it is working but if I build a BSP iView on top of it hangs when I open it (loads and loads forever).
If I try to reach it as a URL from inside the portal (using URL iView) it can't locate this address. The error I receive is:
"Unable to fetch site .Error # 302"
At first I thought it is an issue with the proxy service configuration on the portal but on our test this application is working with the same proxy configuration.
Any ideas?

two things you need to do.
1. go to transaction SE80, from the dropdown choose BSP application and in the input field just below the dropdown enter your BSP application name. and hit enter.
no you will see a tree structure below the inputfield with root node being the name of your BSP application, right click on it and click activate.
2. go to transaction SICF and expand the default_host node and go to sap/bc/bsp/sap/
there you should see your BSP application name and right click on it and click activate. (if activate is grayed out, that means its already active)
now run your BSP it should work fine.

Application Namespace: sap (defaulted by portal)
Customer Namespace: sap (defaulted by portal)
Business Server Page (BSP) Application: crm_bsp_frame
Application Parameters:
Start Page: entrypoint.do
I have checked my system connection from portal to backend system and it works.
When I try to preview the iView, I get the following error.
- a pop up saying "Session management will not work, please check DSM log file for details"

BSP iview not working after ECC 6.0 upgrade

Hi,
We are using MSS application in our portal.When we click the Employee list under manager profile it redirects us to a new page aontaining 3 to 4 iviews like general data,Personal data(Par file based iview) etc
After selecting the employee all data pertaining to the employee appear in these iviews(data comes from SAP HR system).There is one more iview that represents the emergency information of the employee that is a BSP iview.Few days before we have upgraded ECC 4.6 to ECC 6.0 after this upgrade we are getting values in all par file based iview but the data is missing in the BSP iview.
Can anyone help?

Are you getting any error? After upgrade do you activated the bsp service through
T Code: sicf
then Service Execute, then
defalut_host --> sap -->bc --> bsp --> sap -->your BSP Application Name, then right click and Activate.

Intermittent issue : Portal theme not loaded for WDA, BSP iViews

Hello,
We are facing intermittent issue in Portals where theme is not loaded for WD ABAP & BSP iViews.
As theme isn't loaded, the layout of these iViews is distorted, it renders in plain HTML format.
And this is random behaviour and often not reproducible.
During one such occurrence, we could manage to capture "ERROR_INTERNET_CONNECTION_RESET" error when theme URL (a CSS file) is called.
Attached is the screenshot from HttpWatch.

Mismatch in themes of WD called from BSP iview in EP.

in my BSP iview, i am calling a webdynpro abap application using iframe tag in the BSP application and passing the url of WDA application .
but the EP theme is diiferent (green color) and the WD has different theme (Blue color).
is there any solution to have a same theme for the WD application when displayed in EP???

with note 1033496 you prevent the Stylesheet Errors,but i guess you will also get the Blue Theme inside the BSP-Iframe. If you can use the Portal Stylesheet for the WD-Iview without Limitations described in the Note perhaps also try this:
Instead of using the WD-URL as IFRAME source in the BSP perhaps use the URL of a WD-IView.For that you first have to create an Iview for your WD-Application.Then call the preview of this Iview. This Preview-URL(or the PCD) you can call as source inside the BSP IFRAME. I haven't tried it but perhaps then the WD will be displayed inside the BSP-IFrame with your grey Portal Stylesheet because you are calling the Iview directly instead of the WD-APP in the BSP.

Calling BSP Iview from a BSP Iview

How to call another BSP Iview from a BSP Iview ?
Is it the same like we call BSP Iview from a Controller ?
My problem is ..Intially i had only one Iview called from the controller. It was working fine.
I've added some includes in the View and while activating, i got the error msg

+(Dump id : GENBRANCHOFFSET_LIMIT_REACHED)+_
I found from the forum that, instead of calling all things in a single Iview, we can split that into different Iviews.I did the same. and the error had gone.
My Q is ...
I Have built code for tray (maximize and minimize). It works fine if the controller has One Iview and its not working if the controller has 3 iviews.
How to sort it ? If i call the other 2 Iview s from the parent one, will the prob solved ?

How to build a BSP iview?

I am trying to create a BSP iview. Can anyone please send me the mandatory properties to be set and their values for the system and the iview? I think the system properties are set properly because the connection test was succesful,but not sure about the iview properties. Can someone please help me on this?

Thanks for your reply. I have created my System and Iview almost exactly like the way you have told, but still cannot even preview it. From the list of properties given by Joerg, there are only two properties which I have set differntly :-
- Application Parameters (I am not passing any parameters to my application. So haven't set this property)
- Domain (In my environment, by default it is set to EP and is non-editable)
The url for my BSP page is "http://172.18.29.190:8080/sap(bD1lbiZjPTcwMA==)/bc/bsp/sap/znibu/mypage.htm?sap-client=700". When I run this applicaction from portal, I get the 'page cannot be found error' in IE.
Can you please help me to configure this iview properly?

Configure BSP iView

Having a problem with configuring for a BSP application. I've search for this thread in the forum, and have tried the recommendations but still hitting errors.
The URL of the application is as follows:

this is basically because of lacking roles in the backend for the user which is used for executing the BSP application
try to give all the roles that start with SAP_RCF_*
reward points if helpful

Usermapping fails for BSP iViews

Hi All,
 We have EP6 and R34.7.
 I have a BSP application Hap_Document which I have integrated inside the Portal.
 I have performed usermapping for all the users.
 The usermapping works fines for all the IAC iviews but for BSP iViews I get a popup which asks for the credentials.
 Is there any special configuration required for user mapping for BSP iViews?

We updated the field Application Parameters to :
sap-username=<MappedUser>&sap-password=<MappedPassword>
as mentioned.
But now the error which we are getting is:
Unable to process template 'sap-username=<MappedUser>&sap-password=<MappedPassword>', because 'MappedUser' is an invalid terminal property of the context ''..
Kindly suggest...
The lanscape is EP 6.0 with R/3 4.7 Enterprise
