BSP popup Window error

Hi All,
I have uploaded a excel document using HTMLB:upload function, and converted the file content into xstring and saved it in my ztable, now i want the user to click this filename and open the file in a new window.
i have written the code to convert the xstring back to its original format, but, when i click on GET button, the window pops up but closes immediately,
No popupblockers are installed.
can anyone give me some ideas to go about with this issue.

the above link no way helped me in solving he problem i had, but yes gave me some other information.
i had solved the issue by enabling the popups in the tools>internet options>security>custom.

read all the threads related to popup windows and everything works fine except one thing: all the time I get following error :
"You are trying to access a page that is no longer active.
- The referring page may have come from a previous session. Please select Home to proceed."
Let's define setup I did :
1. page installed and should be fine, some controller created as well;
2. new function defined using following params : Type = SSWA jsp function, web HTML = OA.jsp?page=/xxcompany/oracle/apps/icx/por/req/webui/xxPage
3. function added to menu used in particular responsibility
IF I define some Promt for this menu entry, I can access this page following way : OA_HTML/RF.jsp?function_id=25860 - everything works fine but I need to get it in popup window
Fine, popup window URl (no problems with popup window at all) : OA_HTML/OA.jsp?page=/xxcompany/oracle/apps/icx/por/req/webui/xxPage return mentioned error message.
Fine, let's try this : OA_HTML/OA.jsp?OAFunc=XX_FUNCTION return same error again.
What else I tried? Well, post params like resp_id and so on = nothing helps so far.
Something missing in setup?
Any ideas?

is it a seeded page or a custom one?
In the first case, have you extended the root AM?
I had an error like that when I tried to extend the root AM in a seeded page, before to know it was not possible.

Hi Naga,
Disable the parent iviews message area before calling the child(popup) window. Then you can get the message in the child(popup) window.
According to documentation, oldest (parent) message area would be used if there are more than one windows (in a layout).

    I am calling a popup window in the Initial screen to select the variant list.
I am getting an error reference to Null Object reference.

Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "CL_WDR_MESSAGE_AREA===========CP" had to be
terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL', was not
caught in
procedure "SUPPLY_VIEW_DATA" "(METHOD)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING
clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
You attempted to use a 'NULL' object reference (points to 'nothing')
access a component.
An object reference must point to an object (an instance of a class)
before it can be used to access components.
Either the reference was never set or it was set to 'NULL' using the
CLEAR statement.
How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:

"CL_WDR_MESSAGE_AREA===========CP" or "CL_WDR_MESSAGE_AREA===========CM00Q"

If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.
The exception must either be prevented, caught within proedure
"SUPPLY_VIEW_DATA" "(METHOD)", or its possible occurrence must be declared in
the
RAISING clause of the procedure.
To prevent the exception, note the following:

I'm opening a web page in an StageWebView and by trying to click a link that should open a window, I receive this error:

How to fix that? I hope anybody got an idea!

This is a javascript/html question, and has nothing to do with Java/JSP.
You could do it with plain javascript/html using window.opener.
I would recommend using something like a [YUI 2 Panel|http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/container/panel/] to do it.
Opening new windows is a thing of the past.

Linkinking error msg on status bar and a popup window

Hi
My requirement is that whenever an error msg comes on status bar after execution,i need to double click
on that error msg and followed by that a popup window should appear with the customised details about error msg.
plz suggest some solution or some function module which gives popup on double clicking on error msg.

my question is that this popup should be populated by customized details i mean suppose error message on status bar is asking 'authority scheck for one or more plants have failed.would you like to see the details'.Now if user double clicks on status error message pop up screen should contain all the plant numbers for which authorization has failed.I hope this clarifies my question.

Popup-window in BSP

Hello,
I am new at BSP's so I hope someone can help me.
When I click on button in a BSP-page i call a popup-window using something like this
function Popup(url){
window.open(url,"MyPopup",'height=100,width=300');
In that new window there are 2 buttons (Y/N), I leave the popup with the client event self.close().
Now the problem is that the page which triggered the popup doesn't do an 'ON_CHANGE_REQUEST'.
So I cant' figure out on which popup-button the user has clicked.
Anyone a clue ?

this is rather a javaScript question than a BSP question (or a solution, since I'm new to BSP as well).
Try to use in javascript window.opener in the client window. Using that you can do with your y/n buttons:

<button name="y_n_submit" value="no" onClick="javascript:window.opener.call_some_javascript_function('no')">
This function is a javascript in the opener window that can handle the input.

Syntax Error In Javascript Popup Window

I'm wondering if anybody can help me out here with a curious bit of code. I'm using GoLive 9 to generate Javascript popup windows. They seem to work fine, but when I check the syntax I get these errors:
Line 22 Unexpected PCDATA
Line 24 The Corresponding start tag is missing
Specifically, it references this code:

But every time I try to delete or modify those lines I lose the link to my css file and can't link it back. Does anybody out there with a whole lot more brains than me have a solution? Error when clicking other button after displaying Popup window

Hi,
I'm developing a custom page which calls a popup window in r12, below is the error encountered.
Error: Cannot Display Page
You cannot complete this task because you accessed this page using the browser's navigation buttons (the browser Back button, for example).
To proceed, please select the Home link at the top of the application page to return to the main menu. Then, access this page again using the application's navigation controls (menu, links, and so on) instead of using the browser's navigation controls like Back and Forward.
On my base page, I have other buttons like Save, Back, and the button to invoke the popup window. I can display the popup window without error, but when i clicked on the base page's other buttons after invoking the popup window, the error above is shown. I'm not clicking any browser's navigation buttons. Please let me know how to solve this error.

The error occurred because I have isBackNavigationFired checking, this becomes true when clicking the other buttons in the base page after displaying the popup. Is there a workaround where I can make this work without removing my back browser navigation checking?

Error loading JSF page popup window - Cannot find FacesContext

I am trying to load a popup window from my Visual Web JSF page. The popup window itself will be a Visual Web JSF page also.
As an example, i have 2 buttons on my original page with jsp tags as follows::

Cannot find FacesContextThis generally indicates that you invoked a request which points to a JSP page which contains JSF tags, but that the request itself isn't passed through the FacesServlet. Make sure that the request URL is covered by the url-pattern setting of the FacesServlet in the web.xml.

How to show a popup window to display an error message

I want a popup window to popup when an error occurs on pressing an "OK" button in my GUI. What should I use for that? Is it a JWindow?

Retaining BSP page chages with Javascript popup window

Hi Experts
We are using a customized BSP application for our performance
Management. To propmt users for saving their appraisal documents
before a session timeout,we used an Javascript popup message(alert
window). This window doesnot affect the BSP page in any way.(code
provided below)
Per changed requirement,we now have to retain the BSP page values once
the user clicks 'OK' on this javascript popup window. I used the page
refresh option with script. But this is erasing the earlier values.
Can anyone tell me,how i can holdback the BSP page values after the
user action on the popup window. If a piece of code is provided,it
would be greatly appreciated.
