I am facing the BSP problem in the EP my problem is ...
Business Server Page (BSP) error
What happened?
Calling the BSP page was terminated due to an error.

every thing is fine SICf Service is also active.
when I go to SE 80 to check the URL , I found this URL no 8000 but my port 8010 as below , if i would like to change it how can i change it or please give the alternate solution.

Hi Iqbal,
I am sure if this Iview is supplied out of the Box from SAP or not. You need to double check with your functional guy who deals with HR (MSS/ESS). To create BSP Iviews read the link below.

BSP: Problem in F4 help

Hi All,
While displaying a custom field as an input field with F4 Help. i used the statement:
onValueHelp = ="ICWCShowF4HelpExtern(... )"
by passing the relevant values(structure-attribute name etc..) and i am able to see the F4 help as a pop up..
But the problem here is when i select an entry from the F4 list. it is not flowing into the input field!.
Any help/hint really appreciated..

BSP problem in web browser

The tutorial BSP applications are not working in my system at the moment. I have activated all the ICF services and thought that I had set the hostname correctly using the computer's IP address. The message I am receiving in Internet Explorer is:
Following error text processed in system:
BSP Exception: Die URL enthält keine vollständige Domainangabe (192.168.0.100 statt 192.168.0.100.168.0.100).
The address that the page is pointing to is:
http://192.168.0.100:8080/sap/bc/bsp/sap/tutorial_1/default.htm?sap-client=000&sap-sessioncmd=open
Has anyone had this problem in the past?

EREC BSP Problem

Hi pple,
We are seting up EREC system on ECC 5.0,EP 6.0 and EREC 3.0.
We did the needed Technical Settings for the EREC system.
When we tried TESTING the BSP Application - <i>HRRCF_START_EXT</i>, it's asking for EREC User id and password. When we typed in the id and password, we are getting an error -
"<b>Name of logical port '&lp_name&' is invalid</b>"
The validation of user id and password is getting done properly, but only thing is, after validation, we are getting this error.
In fact we tried out same thing with another BSP Application - <i>HRRCF_CAND_REG</i>, And when we enter all these details, the USER ID is getting created properly in BACKEND System, but getting the same error in the next screen of that application.
Can anyone help us in these regards.

Hi pple,
I solved the problem with the help of SAP Support.
Well, the problem is due to 2 reasons.
1) We got to test the EREC BSP Application by creating the URL using the RCF_GENERATE_URL report and use this URL to test the EREC Application.I created my IView and copied the application parameters(which I got from my generated URL) in my IView definition.
2) The error "Name of logical port '&lp_name&' is invalid", comes due to lack of OTR Definition. We got to define OTR's for every application,Group,Page so that we can see the correct description.
All these works only after setting the SYSTEM PARAMETER in EREC Technical Settings.
And there is no problem with LOGICAL PORTS at all.
I hope this solution will be useful for many pple like me.

MSS BSP problem

Hi all,
I have a MSS problem. When push a link in the BSP application it calls the bakecnd system with hostname:8000. this results in the error:

Die URL enthält keine vollständige Domainangabe (hostname statt hostname.).
In portal I have written the system object with the exsension company.com on the WAS, Connector and ITS. So where does the url come from? ERP?
I need to change the call to be with a fully qualified domain.

Hi all,
I have checked the BSP aplication and also the tried deactivating/activating the service in SICF transaction. But im getting the same error.
This BSP iView is in MSS performance management. The BSP page is triggered on the click of a link from a WD java application. These links are dynamically generated from the Backend system. My doubt is the application parameters for generating the BSP page must be present in the backend system and passed on. Is there a way to find out the URL for generating the BSP page in MSS???

Strange BSP problem

Hello,
I have a BSP application with a strange probelm, which occurs only when NO breakpoint was set in my code.
So I can not analyse the problem with Debug, because it runs perfectly with the breakpoint.
Does anybody have the same expierence.

Upgrade 620 to 640: BSP problems

Ok, I know there are a few of you in here who have done this so speak up
I just upgraded our 620 SP47 server to 640 SP11 and I've started going through checking out all our apps. I'm on the last app now and it's of course the biggest.
I'm getting nothing but strange problems about "How I can't use that variable as 'Protected' in my controller class" or I am getting syntax errors CL_O2ELI489813B0ROMNXZ1RWW5ON5C
in the Include "CL_O2ELI489813B0ROMNXZ1RWW5ON5CO " in line 5:
"Implementation missing for method "%_ONLAYOUT". "%_ONLAYOUT"."
So has anyone come across this or do I need to open an OSS message?

Hallo Craig,
We have had these mysterious problems a few times. Unfortunately not long enough to understand why. Two options:
(A) Open OSS message so that we can mess around for 5 days in your system. Maybe we understand it then. Will require some workbench expertise.
(B) Just reactivate all BSP pages (what we will do in anycase in the end:). Control-F3 on each page should make the problem go away. (From what I remember you can select them all in the tree on the left and do it that way.)

Calling web-dynpro-transaction in BSP problem

in my BSP html-coding i have the following:

when i push the button in the portal i get to the transaction Z_LSO..... in sap. this is fine, BUT:
sometimes the new window opens and in the middle of the screen the 'round icon' (which is displayed when a page is loaded) is displayed and nothing more happens.
then i have to push F5 (refresh) in internet explorer and then the start-selection-screen of my transaction appears correctly.
in other tries it works fine, then i get to the selection-screen after pushing the button without pushing F5.
any ideas bout that behaviour ?

PMS BSP problem

Hi Experts,
We have upgraded our system from ECC 5 to ECC 6 but now the form layout got changed in ECC 6 in portal view , It uses a BSP application HAP_DOCUMENT , everything is same defined as in ECC 6 .

Check the system definition in portal.
a. Edit the system being used by your BSP iView
b. Check the value for WAS settings,host, port and path
c. Ensure that the port is correct
d. Save the changes to the system
Check your BSP application. It should be fine.

then I test, and try and test.
finally I found out it is a BSP problem. I have tested a simple BSP application "webservicebrowser" in se80. but it show error.

BSP - Client with Account Group

Hi all,
we just finished upgrading our Support Package to level 10 (SAPKU40010) and we get now a new problem with BSP application. Everytime the BP is created via BSP application, the screen stays in "Change" mode and furthermore there is a Bdoc errormessage that the MasterData is locked by user. Because of this errormesage the account group of the BP is not automatically fully sent to R3. Reprocessing of this errormessage does not always work, firstly if the user still stay in the screen and secondly the account group also does not fully sent to R3.
The creation of the BP via the CRM GUI works well and the account group is fully sent to R3 regardless the errormessage. Thus it is actually real BSP problem.
Does anyone ever get the same problem? And how to solve this because we do not get this kind of problem with the previous Support Package.

BSP Navigation in MVC

Hello,
I'm programming a small demo for FLOB. But I have a problem that should be a basic BSP problem.
There are two controls main.do and password.do
The steps are as follow:
1) main.do -> method do_init: response->redirect( 'g.do' ).
2) password.do -> method do_request: ob_password_v ?= create_view( view_name = 'password.htm' ).
and I get the right html
3) when the user press start, a ajax request is started and there are two ways
3.1) If the password is wrong -> a message appears (that works fine)
3.2) If the password is correct, we try to leave password.do:
In password.do, Method DO_HANDLE_EVENT : response->redirect( 'main.do' ).
In debugging I observe the do_init in main.do is correctly called and also the do_request in main.do
And also:
ob_main_v ?= create_view( view_name = 'main.htm' ).
call_view( ob_main_v ).
But although it seems that it works, I still get the password.html instead of main.html.
Where is the error?

I might be wrong but aren't you trying to perform navigation within the AJAX call?
Shouldn't you :
1) Retrieve the content of the AJAX response
2) Navigate consequently in the callback function of the AJAX call

Problem with index of numbers in BSP Front end

Hello All,
I am facing the below problem. Request your help.
Scenario: When I am trying to add the projects in the Front end , I am facing the problem with the index of numbering of the projects.
Example: If I am adding 6 projects ( at the max only 4 on each page i-e there are 2 pages ), then the index is wrongly numbered and the arrow (for direction of the pages) are wrongly displayed. The direction of the arrow is pointed to the next page rather pointing to the previous page and the index of numbering of the pages is wrong.
Request you to please suggest if this is any code fault in the table maintainance activity in the backend (BSP).

If you mean the number range is skipping 10 numbers in between runs then its because of the buffering in the number range.
To avoid the buffer influencing the number range, pass
'X' to the function module parameter: IGNORE_BUFFER.
This should resolve the problem.

Design problem when using Area Group Page -- BSP

We have installed MSS ERP2004 and are using the webdynpro based Area Group Page. From this page we have added links to diffrent BSP application (using BSP-iviews in the PCD).
The problem:
When we opens one of these links from the Area Group Page the BSP application is opening but the portal design is not inherited.
The strange thing is that if we refresh the iview the portal design is inherited.
Why did it not work when opened at first?
'Support portal integration' is ticked of in the BSP application.
'Supply Portal Stylesheet' is set to 'Yes' for the iview in the PCD.
We are running ERP2004/WAS6.40.
Anyone with the same experience?

Refresh problem of Webdynpro application which is wrapped in a BSP IFrame

I have a BSP Iframe inside which I am calling a webdynpro application ('zwdc_re_replenishment'). The requirement is that this WD application should be reloaded whenever a timeout occurs. Currently, when there is a timeout, an error is shown.
In order to achieve this, for this WD Application , I have a SICF node to which I have attached a customized Errorpage via the option 'Redirect URL'.
Whenever the WD application undergoes a timeout error, my custom error page is called which is named as errorpage.htm. On this page in the 'OnInitialization event', I try to call the WD application URL again (via the following code) which should reload the application. But instead I get a blank page.

First of all, thanks a lot for replying !!
Sorry for the confusion. Although seems like you have answered my question already.
Actually the requirement for embedding WDA inside a BSP Iframe came up since there are some WD report applications that are accessed by very controlled environments in which the users were not able to close the WDA session directly (without the IFrame) and were getting some errors. Hence the WDAs had to be wrapped inside BSP IFrame which solved the above problem.
I am working with only one BSP app which has the Iframe and one WD app which is called within the BSP app.
Now, the other requirement that came up was that whenever the WDA session inside the BSP IFrame expires, there should be no error page and instead the WD app should be reloaded.
So I was trying to reload the WD App in the following way.
1. For the SICF node of WDA, I attached an errorpage.htm for all the tabs under the tab 'Error Pages'. I have defined this errorpage.htm inside the same BSP App which has got another default.htm page. So the BSP App has 2 views : default.htm which has the IFrame and Errorpage.htm.
2. So now when the WDA expires, the events of errorpage.htm are called like OnInitialization, In this event I was calling the methods navigation->exit( 'URL of the same WDA' ).
I did this because I wanted to reload the WDA whenever it expires. I tried to specify the WDA Url in the SICF node of the same WDA in 'Redirect URL' under the Error Page tabs but it didnot work.
Now I realize this is not gonna work. I didnot want to modify the WDA and so I didnot specify any exit plugs in the WDA which would have taken care of reloading the WDA. But that seems to be the only way out.
Actually speaking there are multiple WDAs which will open inside the same BSP IFrame via their own Application URLs. I have coded the BSP IFrame to read the URL Parameters and open up the corresponding WDA. So now I have to define an exit plug in all of these WDAs.
Do you suggest that this will solve the problem of WDA refresh ? Just to confirm.
