BSP's with htmlb - Tags on Browsers for Apple Computers

Hello,
I have a question. I use htmlb - Tags in a lot of BSP's. At the most Browsers for Windows Systems there is no problem, but at the Safari Browser or the Internet Explorer for Apple Mac OS X the Sites with htmlb - Tags won't work.
Does anybody know why?

Actually on Friday we got an official update on the question of Safari support. In summary SAP will not natively support the Safari browser. However, what we will do, for design2003 only, is to recognize the Safari browser as an IE6 browser. The official statement is that what works, works. No code changes will be made to handle any special cases of Safari browser. It is acceptabled that Office Integration, handling of PDF documents and any ActiveX stuff will not work.
This change should be in 620SP46 or SP47. If you should be in a hurry, consider to modify our browser recognition code already now.

Issue with setting up an account for Apple Discussions

Off and on for 4 or 5 years I have posted questions or responded to them the in PowerBook G4 15" Titanium section. Then a couple of weeks ago I tried to log in and was informed that my Apple ID had been disabled for security reasons. I then created a new Apple ID and password and had no difficulty logging in with that. However, to post in the Apple Discussions I was prompted to create a new account for that purpose. When I filled in the fields, checked the box agreeing to the conditions, and clicked the Submit button, I got no error message, but the "Create New Account" screen reloaded and I still couldn't post. Clicking login just brought up the same screen again. After trying and failing to create a new posting account off and on over a period of a week I finally went to the Seattle Apple Store to see if they could help me. The first employee kindly went through the steps with me three times with the same baffling result. Finally a second employee helped me and was successful on his third try (I thanked him profusely!). However, even he could not identify the problem because no error message ever appeared. Was I trying to use an alias that didn't work for some reason? Does the Other Computer Information field need to be filled in even though it looks optional because it doesn't have an asterisk? Is the secret to get help at an Apple Store? All just FYI.

At this point I should clarify that my account issues have been fully resolved. The point of my post is a larger issue--usability of the Create New Account screen. The fact that neither I nor two Apple Store employees could figure out why attempting to create a new account for Apple Discussions repeatedly failed was due to lack of feedback after clicking the Submit button. I would normally expect to see a message like "This alias already in use" or "This field must be filled in" but there were no messages of any sort.

Secure browsers for Apple

I have been getting notices lately saying that I needed to update my browser ( Safari 5.1) or that my browser is not "supported". It is suggested I update/download Chrome or Moxilla Foxfire. I once had a phone conversation with an Apple support person who told me that I should only use Safari. He even navigated me through a Chrome site which didn't appear as secure. Now, as you can tell, I know very little about technology. My son says that Safari is just propaganda because it is an Apple favored website. I am very concerned about security. Some notices have said that Safari is not secure... I would appreciate advice about what I should use.

Lets take it one step at a time.
Since you have 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) you have different options depending on the model of Macbook you have.
If your Macbook is supported, you can update directly to Yosemite, through the Mac App Store App, at no cost.
This will give you the most uptodate OS with the most up to date security updates. And the most up to date Safari browser.
You can check here to see if your Macbook Pro qualifies.

If its not supported for Yosemite, you may still be able to update to Lion. You would need to buy Lion for $19..99 from the Online Apple Store, and then download it again through the Mac App Store App.

If your Mac is not supported for either of these, then your next best choice is either Firefox, or Chrome. They are the top browsers in the industry.
With that said, internet security is more about what yo do online, then what browser you have. Basically any browser will have secure connections to websites that have them. But basic security practices start wih you. i.e don't go to dodgy websites, don't give out your information to unknown sites, and don't do sensitive operations on public networks (i.e banking in coffee shop wifi), don't download strange software etc..

AIR for Apple iOS Support in Flash Builder is not installed.

I've written an application in Flash Builder and I'm now attempting to get it running on an iPad.
I am running on a Mac (OSX 10.6.7)
I have FB 4.5 installed and downloaded the separate 4.5.1 update file successfully updated FB to 4.5.1.
I have downloaded and installed AIR 2.7.
I have downloaded and installed the AIR sdk.
I have an iOS developer account and have created my developer certificatn p12 file, created an Apple Id for my application and a provisioning profile.
I created a new "ActionScript Mobile Project" for my application and enabled the Apple iOS platform.
I have entered my certificate and provisioning information into FB.
I created a "Debug Configuration" for my project.
When I run my debug configuration, I am prompted for my Certificate Password (which I enter).
I then receive a pop-up message with the following error:
"AIR for Apple iOS Support in Flash Builder is not installed. To enable packaging support for Apple iOS follow these instructions."

I have Flash Builder as a part of the CS5.5 Web Premium (on DVD), which does not appear to have a "AIR for Apple iOS Support" option during the FB installation.
So I followed the manual installation steps provided (although copying the described folders to my sdks/4.5.1 folder (rather than the sdks/4.5 folder).
However, doing the above did not resolve the issue. I still get the same error message as before.
Has anyone else encountered this issue, or have any suggestions on how to resolve it?

In order to install applications from discs on the MacBook Air, you have two possibilities:
1. Buy an external optical drive, connect it to the MacBook and use it to install your applications.

Bad bug with ID3 tags of different case for same artist

My itunes files and music library are on a different drive than my boot drive. It is an internal drive (always on) in my Mac Pro at /Volumes/Media1/iTunes with music library at /Volumes/Media1/iTunes/iTunes Music. iTunes is setup to automatically keep it organized and copy files to the media folder when adding. It has been this way for years, never a problem.
Just recently, and I think this may have coincided (but I'm not sure) with a 10.6.5 Snow Leopard update, my music started disappearing! The entries were still in the library, but with the missing exclamation mark in itunes with it reporting that it couldn't find the files. But only certain artists. After searching my computer, I found the missing files it at the same path, but on my boot drive, at /Media1/iTunes/iTunes Music/<missing artist>!
Trying to add these files back to my library would work briefly, but then they would magically disappear out of /Volumes/Media1/iTunes/iTunes Music and go back to /Media1/iTunes/iTunes Music/
I figured out the one thing the different artists that had this behavior had in common - some of the ID3 tags for the same artist, which are the basis for organization, were in different cases. I think there is a weird case sensitivity bug that is breaking things. When I add back only those songs for an artist with ID3 tags for the artist of the same case, the behaviour stops.
I'm posting less looking for an answer and more to raise visibility and hope this gets a fix.
Example entries from my iTunes Library.xml, notice how the 'k' in OutKast is a different case in the entries.

I'd like to note that I'm experiencing the exact same issue. I'd add to this but petegas4life has it spot on. I'm just replying in hopes this thread gets noticed so the engineers at apple can look into this and hopefully fix it in the next release.
Reproducing the problem is pretty simple too. Just take one song from an album and change the case of the artist name. You'll see the music move to the boot drive and all of the songs from that artist won't work in itunes anymore. And if you're relying on iTunes to edit the tags, fixing the files is a PAIN because they keep disappearing on you.

Problem with DOCTYPE tag in the index.html for flex file

When I have the following !DOCTYPE tag in the index.html file I use to load the flex swf file(s) both FireFox and Orical browsers both become horizontally shortened. When the tag removed everything works fine. Given that the !DOCTYPE tag is necessary for good html I'd really like to know what's going on.

Good info on that site about HTML, unfortunatly it had nothing new for me. I did double check and everything and I was doing things the way they recomend.
I'm really bothered that this is happening. The DOCTYPE tag should be used and it should not have this effect when added to the HTML generated by the Flex Builder. Additionally the new Flash Builder does have the DOCTYPE tag in its generated HTML and this is very worrisome.

Handling events in BSP application using WML tag Extensions

We are developing a BSP applications for Mobile handheld using WML tag library. I am looking for some code samples to know how we can handle evevents inside the BSP using the WML tag library.
Can any one of you plesae help us by placing a code snippet for handling onInputprocessing() methods (BSP Using WML Tag extensions).
I mean to ask how we can handle events inside the BSP applications that uses the WML tag library.
I know about how to handle BSP events using HTMLB and XHTMLB tags frameworks.

Is this WML tag library something that is supplied by SAP u2013 as a BSP Extension Element? Or are you just using WML tags directly in your layout? I can tell you in general that if you want to generate HTMLB events from regular HTML code you can generate the JavaScript calls using the htmlbEvent tag of the BSP extension library. However your tags have to be running within an HTMLB Content tag for this to work.
If you want to work totally without HTMLB then you need to use the simple HTTP Post but format the input name as OnInputProcessing(<function code>) like this:
<input type="submit" name="OnInputProcessing(ok)" value="OK">
This will cause the OnInputProcessing event handler to trigger without needing any HTMLB tags (this is how it was done in WebAS 6.10 before we BSP Extensions).

Calling a BSP application with MVC and send one start value

Hi,
I developed a BSP application with BSP. The application has a start page with one input field. The user gives a number and click the send button. The controller creates the modeler and gives the userinput as start parameter for the data search. After the data are read/found, the controller calls a view to show the data.
This is very easy and does work.
I have to call this simply application from another one: the caller application sends the start value.
I don't know, if is better to send the start value in the URL or not. I tried it, but the controller cannot read it.
How can I call the controller with a start value?

1) for the "Send" button attach a java script.

this javascript should take the inputfrom the field,
then in the javascript create the URL.
