BT 2.0 compatible with 1.2 (Headset)?

Hello,
i own the 5610 xpressmusic which supports the BT 2.0 standard. I'd like to buy a new Stereo-Headset, but the BH-503 is far to expensive ~~.
The BH-501 would be cool but it only supports BT 1.2.
Will this combo (5610 xpressmusic + BH-501) work or will there be any disadvantages?
ty in advance!

My BH-501 was backordered (40), so I canceled it and ordered BH-503 (115). Disadvantages are following:
1) No media control buttons on BH-501 (No AVRCP)
2) BH-501 has higher probability of audio skipping (BH-503 can receive data on higher speeds and supports EDR)
3) overall music quality should be better in BH-503 due to new DSP and better error correction methods in Bluetooth 2.0.
Advantages:
1) For the price of BH-503 you can buy 2 BH-501's.
2) There is no much information and user comments on BH-503's quality and etc. Even weight is unclear (70g or 105g).

  • E63 - compatible with a standard headset?

Will a standard 3.5mm headset with mic work with the E63?  In other words, will a headset that can be used on an iphone, blackberry, etc., etc. work on the E63?   I know the earphone part will work, that the E63 connector looks like a standard connector, but would like to know if the mic from a standard headset will work.

Yes, I would like to know the answer to this as well. I recently purchased this phone and tried to use the nokia headset that it came with. Not surprising the headset was garbage. Major static interference, completely unusable. The person on the other line could not hear me and I could not hear them. I have had nokia phones in the past and while so far the phones themselves have been quality, I really can't say the same for the accessories. Anyway, I purchased a separate headphone/headset in fact it was the apple iphone one that is used for iphones and ipods. This is one of the few headsets that has a mic and a volume control which is something that I felt was useful for this phone. When I connected the headset to the phone, at first it recognized as headphones with no mic, then it said it was a non supported device. Please someone at Nokia or anyone else who is reading this message let me know what headset is compatible with this phone because if I can't find one that is, I'm returning the phone. The main reason I bought this phone was for the 3.5 jack and the non-proprietary freedom that comes with having that feature. Again, if this is not the case I will return this phone. I hope someone wil be able to help me with a good suggestion.
One more note, I attached some regular cheap headphones and they worked fine. I could hear the person on the other line well and they could hear me using the phones mic although not as well when the phone is too far away from my face. I mention this incase someone might be wondering if it is the phone that's the problem. Using the phones mic is not an adequate solution to this problem. I want to be able to use a good quality headset with this phone, if that's not possible then I will return the phone. I'm still within my 90 days. Except for this one issue which to me is a major issue I'm quite happy with this phone.

  • BH-100 headset (bluetooth) compatible with PC?

    Hi!
I want to know if my BH-100 headset (bluetooth) is compatible with my PC (at least like a microphone)?
I've have just bought a new bluetooth USB adapter for my PC. It recognizes my headset but I don't see services available for my headset....
    Thanks for the help!
    TAG4

Best to check that your Bluetooth adaptor supports Hands Free Profile for voice and is not just data transfer.
If it is a USB adaptor, is the pc sound card linked to the USB port?
    Hope this helps

  • Plantronics Voyager Pro headset NOT compatible with 3GS

I've been having terrible problems with my Plantronics Voyager pro all singing and all dancing bluetooth headset and my 3GS.
I've tried 2 units to no avail and have a long case log with Plantronics support.
Apparently the inbuilt noise cancelling "intelligence" in the headset is conflicting with the iPhone noise cancelling electronics, producing a terrible user experience and is not just specific to Plantronics headsets, but all those that rely on headset noise-cancelling (like the Jawbone etc..)
Anyway, I notice that Plantronics have now changed their website to advise that the Voyager Pro is NOT compatible with the 3GS (in fact is seems like none of the noise-cancelling ones are)
This seems like a schoolboy error on Apple's part and speaking to Plantronics, they have no idea if and when a resolution is likely to be forthcoming!

I wish I had known this a few months ago. I had an original iPhone using a Plantronics Voyager 510. Everyone always said it was like I was in the same room talking to them. I bought a new 3Gs, and a Plantronics Voyager Pro. I seem to be able to hear just fine, but people I talk to keep having me repeat everything. Most people say it sounds like I'm talking to them from inside a hole somewhere. I got my headset last July. I switched back to my old bluetooth headset, it didn't resolve the problem, so I know it wasn't the Voyager Pro. I thought it might be interference from the metal cover I had bought from AT&T to protect the iPhone, and removing the cover seemed to give people better clarity, but they still complain. Now for long conversations I've had to return to using a corded headset.

  • HS-20/AD-41 headset is not fully compatible with N...

The remote control works until the Music Player actually plays tracks, but it won't control the paused or stopped player if the keypad is locked on the phone or the Music Player is in the background. It means that if I paused or stopped the music for some reason I have to pull out the phone to unlock the keypad to get the remote control working again. And Nokia lists the N80 as compatible with this headset...

Same with an N73, so it's not just the N80 that is not compatible with the AD-41.
N73 is fully compatible, all you need to do to make the buttons work is plug the pop port without the 3.5 headphone jack connected to it. As soon as the phone recognize the headset, that is the time to plug in the 3.5 jack. Good luck!!!

been earching the Nokia website and That headset seems to only be compatible with the 3250. There doesn't seem to be any link between your phone and tha AD-41 but it seems the AD-46 is compatible with a 6233 but it doesn't provide the functional;ity that I think you are looking for from the AD-41

Just a heads up: have Bose Mobile on ear headset with in line microphone.
Was compatible with Apple 3G but not new 3GS. Probably a simple fix.
Sound in fine; just cuts out all the time or totally no transmit. Had Bose call me several times and same with other calls. At best very hard to hear reported on other end to no audio at all. Hope Bose/Apple can fix near future.

any news on developments here? Have just received my Bose on ear headset and get sound ok but receivers get choppy sound from me...really cannot use...have a 3GS 32GB

  • Is my iPhone 3GS compatible with a Plantronics 975V2 Bluetooth headset?

Is my iPhone 3GS compatible with a Plantronics 975V2 Bluetooth headset?

I resolved it. I had to put the Jawbone into 'pairing' mode, by holding down the Jawbone it two different places. So it is compatible.

  • Is bluetooth headset BH103 compatible with nokia 2...

    Hi
    I have a Nokia 2630.
I would like to know if the Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-103 is  compatible with the Nokia 2630 phone.
    Cheers.
    Shashi

The BH-700 is not a stereo music device and the handset needs a wired headphone to act as an arial when using the radio function.
Therefore the BH-700 cannot do this.
Once a wired headet is connected, the phone will always drop the bluetooth connection.

  • N70 compatible with BH-200 wireless headset?

I've checked the compatibility list of the BH-200 wireless headset, and it doesn't list the Nokia N70 despite every other Series 60 smartphone being listed as compatible (and numerous others too).
However, the online shop when browsing for wireless headsets after chosing accessories compatible with the N70 DOES list the BH-200.
I'm confused. Is the BH-200 compatible with the N70 or not? And if not, why (given that it's compatible with virtually every other Series 60 smartphone)?
    Many thanks in advance.

I had an N70 at my job for a few days and it worked fine with my new bh200. I have a 6270 for normal use. I also use the bh200 with my pc as well. It is my third bluetooth headset and it is by far the best one I have had to date.
    cheers.

i have tried a reset and a restore, still nothing.would a service on my touch fix it
Although someone (probably not Apple) could take a look at it, the cost to you may not be money well spent since the likelihood of fixing this may be slim -- it may actually cost less to buy a refurb 3G Touch than repair your 2G.
But you mentioned resetting and restoring it -- did you load your last backup when you restored it?  Perhaps your backup is corrupted, so restoring and re-loading the backup will just perpetuate the problem.  Try restoring the Touch but set it up as a new iPod (don't select the iPod's current name/ backup at the end of the restore process).
If that doesn't help, then you're probably out of luck.

  • HS-44 Stereo Headset compatible with 3109 phone?

I noticed on the Nokia website that the compatibillity with headsets can depend on the last software update of your phone. I have the latest software 5.30 on my 3109 so now I'm wondering if I could use the HS-44 headset on this one.
If not, is there any other "in-ear-plug" headset available for this type that allows you to scroll trough your mp3's and answers phonecalls? ( find the older/normal earplug headset less comfortabel for my ears.)
Thanks in advance for the advice!

I haven't given up yet.   Here's what Nokia tech support said:
Although it is not listed on the web address I am sure that the Nokia Hs-49 wired headset will function properly with your Nokia 6650
Armed with that information, I looked up all compatible phones with the HS-49 headset, since my real goal is to find a working adapter for the Nokia 6650 Fold.
The HDA-11 2.5mm to 2.5mm TTY adapter apparently is compatible with the Nokia 6650 Fold.  Nokia Tech Support says when queried specifically about this adapter.
"I am pleased to advise you that our Nokia HDA-11 Adapter is compatible with your Nokia 6650 Fold."
My real goal, however, is to be able to use my Sennheiser headphones (3.5mm jack) with this phone.
Googling the HDA-11 has produced this thread on AT&T:
    http://forums.wireless.att.com/cng/board/message?board.id=nokia&message.id=48856
Note that the HDA-11 doesn't do the 2.5mm to 3.5mm job directly, it just provides a 2.5mm jack that you can ostensibly plug a 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter into.  Since I already have one of these (I bought it when I bought the phone naively thinking that it would allow me to use my headphones) , I've ordered the HDA-11 and will see if the thread listed above also applies to the 6650 Fold.
It's amazing to me that Nokia doesn't provide any way to adapt a standard 3.5mm headphone to this jack.
It's also incredible that they list virtually nothing compatible with the headphone jack on this phone on their website.
Equally frustrating is that Nokia seems to have no interest in fixing any of the above.
Stay tuned to this thread.  I'll let y'all know when I get the HDA-11 jack + the 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter lets me use my headphones with this poor excuse for a music phone.
