BT and Kali

Trying to find out what the rules are on the use of Kali. Currently studying Network engineering and security systems admin, and as part of a huge module we have to use some pent testing tools. The majority of the work is within the university network, however it is beneficial for us to carry out tests from home if our ISP allows it.
Just trying to find out if it is allowed or a straight up flaggable offence under T&C's

Running penetration tools from your own BT Internet connection will get you into trouble, as BT do have security measures in place to detect this sort of activity, and you are likely to get your account suspended in accordance with the Residential T&Cs.
"If you use the service in any way that we consider is likely to be detrimental to the provision of the service or which may adversely affect other customer's enjoyment of the service we reserve the right to restrict or terminate your service immediately.

You see, there is an error with the ASIC on the ACE-Module. Because of this the switch was shutting down interface Ten1/1 for about 20sec and made a reset of the module. First question is, if the failure is an hardware-issue?
Because of the reset, we had a failover with the redundant module in the other switch. In front of both we have a GSS which uses "KAL-AP by VIP". We use is for several VIPs and they are still working after the failover. Only for 2 VIPs, the ACE was sending a load of 0. In the config we found a fragment of an old configurations for "KAL-AP by Tag". Configuration looked like this
    domain domain_KALAP-BUMS
      add-object class-map cmap-vip_BUMS
Before you ask, the configuration on the GSS was "KAL-AP by VIP" and it was working fine before the failover. After the failover the new active module was sending a load of 0 to the GSS. Is this a bug? Did anyone had some similiar error?
Would be happy if someone can help us understanding.
    Kind regards,
    Marko

    Hi Marko,
For this type of issue we tend to replace the module. Please raise a TAC case in consideration of RMA. Provide the following command output from switch chassis in the TAC case:
    1. show-tech
    2. syslog from switch at time of trouble
    3. remote command switch show scp status
    4. remote command switch show scp accounting
    5. remote command switch show eobc
As for the your KAL-AP question, your description is a bit vague.
It is not clear to me what the chain of events were, nor if all is ok now?
If the two VIPs which reported load 0 still do, and it is in error, then this must be investigated.
    Hope this helps.

  • Inter-GSS Communication and KAL-AP

    Hi,
I have 4 GSS installed in the network that load balance users to 3 data centers and in each of them I have a CSM module. The KAL-AP protocol is configured between all GSS and all CSM in order to retrieve the load value form each site. On the GSSM GUI, I am observing that other GSS devices report the availability of each site as "online" instead of indicating "Load xx". Is it a normal behaviour ? Only the GSSM-Primary displays the real load ?
    Thank you for any hints,
    Yves Haemmerli

Check the following. It could be due to one of them.
1/ Check the 'Balance Methods' under the 'DNS Rules' to be 'least loaded' and not 'round-robin' or 'ordered-list'.
2/ If your 'Answer' is a 'VIP type', and it has 'VIP KeepAlive Type:' configured as 'none', then you would see an 'online'. Change that to something other than 'none'.
For example, a VIP type configured with a 'KAL-AP type' will show you the 'load' value rather than just an 'online/offline'
3/ The other possibility is that if you have configured the 'Answer' type as 'Name Server' rather than as 'VIP Type' then you would see the 'online' again.
4/ If you still face the issue I would recommend to upgrade your version. On version 1.3.1.0.0, I am not seeing this issue.
Hope this would solve your problem.
    thanks

  • Lenovo Yoga 2 13, Kali Linux 1.0.7, Ubuntu 14.04, Windows 8.1 install, config, and wifi fix.

Lenovo Yoga 2 13, Kali Linux 1.0.7, Ubuntu 14.04, Windows 8.1 install, config, and wifi fix.
I wanted to share an experience with everyone I hope will help others avoid what I have gone through the past 3 days. I bought a Yoga 11s that I loved but had some issues with the wireless, Lenovo being awesome replaced it with a Yoga 2 13. I love this laptop but ran into some issues with Linux install/wireless, which I wanted to show how to resolve in one place. Hopefully this will help someone else get through this quicker
I am going to try and write this for someone with little Linux experience, if I miss the mark please let me know and I will clarify the best I can.
For work I need Windows 8.1 and Kali Linux, while for home I prefer Ubuntu.
    My Yoga 2 13:
    I5 1.6 ghz
    8 GB ram
    256 GB SSD
    ORANGE!
    My requirements:
    I need Windows
I need Kali Linux (livecd, even with persistent mode was not an option as it would not save the wireless fix or system updates) – I would also like this on a USB drive and not the internal SSD
    I would like Ubuntu
    Needed to do this:
    1. 2 USB thumb drives (at least 8gb in size each) I used 2 Leef Supra 32GB drives. They are my favorite right now and are only about $27 at amazon.
    2. Phone that can USB Tether or a USB Ethernet card (External USB wireless will show as "Hardware Locked"). Again you can pick one up for sub $10 if you need the USB Ethernet route. I used my Galaxy S5, you will need to download 200-300 mb of items through this so make sure you have the data if you go that route.
    3. You may be able to get a USB wifi card to work if you do the following after boot. This only worked once for me.
                    a.Type ‘sudo rmmod iwlmvm’
    b.Type ‘sudo rmmod iwlwifi’
    4. ISOs of Ubuntu and Kali Linux (I used Ubuntu 14.04 and Kali Linux 1.0.7)
    5. Software to unzip the ISOs. I recommend 7-ZIP and will be referencing this in this guide.
    6. I will include the EFI boot files and the WiFi fix files if I can attach. Otherwise I will provide a link to them.
       Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/puxnnoft3gn2b6l/WiFiFix.zip
Recommended (these are just in case you corrupt something making your system not see any OS
    1.  I would call Lenovo beforehand and get a set of recover disks (this will take 2-3 days)
    2. In the meantime a USB Windows 8.1 or 8 ISO (the repair feature may save you)
*Note: At many points in this guide I detail steps and commands. Please double check that you understand the step before proceeding. There are multiple points where a mistyped command or clicking the wrong option will cause your entire system to fail and you will need to reformat the entire drive and start over. This also will make One Touch recovery not work. Proceed with caution.*
I did not need to disable ‘secure boot’ to do this, but keep in mind that you may need to.
    Steps:
First let’s go through the installs, and then we will go through grub config and wireless fix
    1. In Windows scroll to computer and right click, select manage.
    2. Go to “Disk Management”
    3. Select the main HDD (notice Lenovo puts a stupid number of partitions on here)
    a. I deleted the D: drive on here, if you do this make sure to copy the drives over to your main C: drive. You will want to run each of the installers and repair the drivers after.
    4. I used the space from the D: drive and pulled a little more creating a 50 GB partition for Ubuntu and my swap file
    a. You can also add more space by right clicking your C drive and selecting shrink
    b. Do not format the partitioned data as this will make identifying it later much easier.
    5. Open a command line
                    a. Swipe from the right of the screen and select search
                    b. Type ‘cmd’
                    c. right click and select ‘run as admin’
    6. For Ubuntu: Type ‘diskpart’ into the command line
                    a. type ‘list disk’
    i. You should see 2-3 disks depending on if you have one or both usb drives in the laptop at the time. I would suggest only doing 1 at a time so you don’t lose track.
                    b. type ‘select disk $’ (Replace the $ with the number of the drive)
    c. ***** Before proceeding make sure you have the correct drive selected or you can ruin your Windows install and Lenovo one touch recovery will not fix it since we have changed the partitions *****
    d. type ‘clean’
    e. type ‘create partition primary’
    f. type ‘active’
    g. type ‘format  fs=fat32 quick’
    h. type ‘assign’
    i. type ‘exit’
    6. For Kali Linux: Type ‘diskpart’ into the command line
                    a. type ‘list disk’
    i. You should see 2-3 disks depending on if you have one or both usb drives in the laptop at the time. I would suggest only doing 1 at a time so you don’t lose track.
                    b. type ‘select disk $’ (Replace the $ with the number of the drive)
    c. ***** Before proceeding make sure you have the correct drive selected or you can ruin your Windows install and Lenovo one touch recovery will not fix it since we have changed the partitions *****
    d. type ‘clean’
    e. type ‘create partition primary size= 3272
    f. type ‘active’
    g. type ‘format  fs=fat32 quick’
    h. type ‘assign’
    i. type ‘exit’
    j. By doing this we can maintain a portion of this drive as the install CD and still have linux install/ liveCD if we need to run it on another machine.
    7. At this point the drive is ready to have the contents of the ISO copied over.
    8. Right click the ISO and select 7-zip then ‘zip to /’ This should unzip the ISO to the location of the ISO into a folder named exactly the same as the ISO.
    9. Once this is done for Ubuntu ISO it is done
    10. Kali requires a little bit more to be ready
                    a. Kali will need some files added for EFI boot. --$--
                                   i. Thanks to: https://forums.kali.org/showthread.php?271-How-to-EFI-install-Kali-Linux
ii. EFI files are located within the wifi fix folder https://www.dropbox.com/s/puxnnoft3gn2b6l/WiFiFix.zip
    11. Now let’s start with Ubuntu
    Ubuntu install
    1.     Place USB drive into the laptop and press the “Lenovo boot” button next to the power button
    2.     Select ‘Boot Menu’
    3.     Select ‘EFI USB Device (Name of drive)’ Mine stated Leef Supra
    4.     Select ‘install Ubuntu’
    5.     Go through the Ubuntu install until you get to select the install drive
    6.     Once you get to the install portion it will ask you to select from one of 4 options. Select ‘Manually select partition’
    7.     Select the “Free Space” where we opened up some of the drive
    8.     You will need to create 2 partitions, I usually create the swap partition at the end of the drive
    a.     First I create the swap
                                              i.    Set at the end of the drive
ii.    Set size to 1024 mb
                                            iii.    Set type to ‘swap’
    b.     Second create the ext 4 partition
                                              i.    Set to beginning of drive
ii.    Set to remainder of the space
                                            iii.    Set type to ext4
iv.    Set mount point to /
    9.     Finish the install and boot into Ubuntu
    10.   You will notice that your wireless is ‘disabled by hardware’ This is fine for the time being and we will worry about this after the kali install. If we fix it now for some reason after installing kali we get the error again and would just need to fix it again.
    Kali Linux install
    1.     Place USB drive into the laptop and press the “Lenovo boot” button next to the power button
    2.     Select ‘Boot Menu’
    3.     Select ‘EFI USB Device (Name of drive)’ Mine stated Leef Supra
    4.     From the grub menu select ‘install kali linux’ both graphical and text work. I much prefer text install
    5.     You will get a few errors through the install but that is fine
    6.     The first we see is about network hardware and ‘load missing firmware from removable media?’ – Select ‘no’
    7.     Then select no ethernet card
    8.     It will have you name your machine then it will ask you for the root password
    a.     If you want to just use root *not recommended* place the password here
    b.     If you wish to use a non-root account then leave these blank and it will ask you for a name, username, and password of the new machine *Very Recommended* - this will also add this user to the sudoers file
    9.     It will then ask you to ‘partition disks’
    10.   Select manual
    11.   Now here is where it can get a little confusing so read twice click once
    12.   Select the USB drive from this list
    13.   Mine shows up under (sdb) – Leef Supra
    a.     It could be sdc, sdd, sde, etc… depending on how many drives you have plugged in.
    14.   You should see one primary drive that is 3gb or so that is formatted as FAT32. – DO NOT TOUCH THIS PARTITION!
    15.   You should see the remainder of this drive as ‘FREE SPACE’ select that
    16.   Create a partition at the end at size 1024mb and swap
    17.   Then create another one for the remainder of the drive and set it to ext4 with mountpoint of /
    18.   Continue through the install after you should see an error warning you that ‘you may not be able to boot’ that is fine, select continue
    19.   Then select from the menu of all the options ‘continue without bootloader’
    20.   It should finish up then reboot on its own.

    First setup/boot/fix grub
    1.     You should  be able to boot up into GRUB2 menu now.
    2.     You may not see kali linux in this menu (make sure you have your towel and don’t panic!)
    3.     Boot into Ubuntu
    4.     Once you log in you should see that you still cannot use wireless due to being locked by hardware
    5.     This is expected
    6.     Let’s fix grub then we will come back to fixing wireless
    7.     Plug in your device to connect to the internet (USB Tethering or USB Ethernet)
    8.     Once you verify that you now have an internet connection run the following from terminal
    a.     ‘sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer’
    b.     ‘sudo apt-get update’
    c.     ‘sudo apt-get install grub-customizer’
    9.     You can also edit the grub.cfg manually if you know what you are doing… I did not
    10.   Open grub  customizer
    11.   It should auto populate and you should see ‘debian (kali linux)’ somewhere in the list
    12.   It should be mounted to /dev/sdb2 or /dev/sdc2 depending on how many devices you have
    13.   At this point go ahead and save
    14.   Reboot and test that you can get into each OS
    15.   This is where my inexperience got me. I spent 2 of my days so I am including this error: If when you boot into Kali you get an error somewhere that says ‘/bin/sh: can’t access tty: job control turned off’ look above it for an error that looks similar to ‘ALERT! /dev/sdc2 does not exist. Dropping to a shell!!’
    a.     That error is due to the mount point being incorrect in grub, reboot and from within grub highlight the kali boot. Press ‘e’ then towards the bottom you should see ‘root=/dev/sdc2’ change this to ‘root=/dev/sdb2’ again the number doesn’t matter just make sure it stays the same.
    b.     Press F10
    c.     If this boots fine then you will need to go back and fix the grub.cfg or load into Ubuntu and open grub customizer again, it should fix this
    16.   Now you have 3 working OS on the machine with one being on a USB! Congrats!
    17.   You can remove the USB with no worry of screwing up your install, but you will not be able to boot into Kali Linux until you replace it. I would suggest only removing it and replacing it while the machine is powered off, but that’s just me.
    Fix Wireless
Now is the time to do what probably ¾ of you came here for. FIX THE DANG WIRELESS. This is a huge problem from Lenovo’s side that I hope they realize how important Linux is and will fix. I won’t hold my breath though.
Log into Ubuntu : This is well documented in the following forum post on page 3 by user Haohe:
    http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2215044&page=3
His has you download quite a large file, mine should be much smaller.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/puxnnoft3gn2b6l/WiFiFix.zip
    1.     Download the attached package with the fix.
    2.     Connect your USB internet device (tether or ethernet)
    3.     Place the packages somewhere easy to access, in this example I will place them under ~/Desktop/WiFiFix
    4.     Type ‘cd ~/Desktop/WiFiFix/’
    5.     Now we need to prep the tools we need.
    6.     Type ‘sudo apt-get update’ – we did this before, but you know, just in case
    7.     Type ‘sudo apt-get install linux-headers-`uname –r`’   Note around uname-r they are the ` symbol not the ‘ this is located just above the tab on the same key as ~.
    8.     Type ‘make’
    9.     Type ‘sudo cp /lib/modules/3.13.0-24-generic/kernel/drivers/platform/x86/ideapad-laptop.ko ~/ideapad-laptop.ko.backup’
    10.   Type ‘sudo cp ~/Desktop/WiFiFix/ideapad-laptop.ko /lib/modules/3.13.0-24-generic/kernel/drivers/platform/x86/’
    11.   Type ‘sudo modprobe -r ideapad-laptop’
    12.   Type ‘sudo modprobe ideapad-laptop’
    13.   Type ‘sudo rfkill unblock all’
    14.   Type ‘sudo modprobe -r ideapad-laptop’
    15.   Type ‘sudo mv ~/ideapad-laptop.ko.backup /lib/modules/3.13.0-24-generic/kernel/drivers/platform/x86/ideapad-laptop.ko’
    16.   Next we need to blacklist the ideapad module
    17.   Type ‘sudo echo 'blacklist ideapad-laptop' > /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-ideapad.conf’
    a.     The first time I tried this it wouldn’t work. So I did the following
    b.     ‘sudo touch /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-ideapad.conf’
    c.     ‘sudo vim /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-ideapad.conf’
    d.     Enter     blacklist ideapad-laptop
    e.     Exit and save
    18.   Reboot your Yoga 2 13
    19.   Boot into kali and see if you have wireless, if you do then you are done. If not we will need to repeat this process with one small little change.
    Kali Wifi Fix
    1.     Copy the sources.list from the package provided
    2.     Replace /etc/apt/sources.list with the included
    3.     Some of the file path changes but the process remains the same from here.
Congratulations you now have 3 OSes one portable to other machines and working wifi!
    Thank you

  • Question about GSS

    1. Can the customer customize the health check of backend server ? Eg. Using SNMP to poll the OID to check if the threshold is greater than a specific value.
    2. Do GSS has database to check the location of client so that they can result the IP of that location? If has the database, what is it is refer to IANA? Will it be updated?
    3. Do GSS resolves DNS query with application Dependence? That means Application A's IP depends on the health status of Application B.
    4. Can GSS be deployed at different location with automatic configuration synchronization?
    5. Is GSS compliance to DNS RFC standard? Support all DNS record type? Eg. A, MX, PTR and AAAA recorsd etc.
    6. Can GSS support IPV6 routing?

    1. Scripted Keepalives can be used for SNMP based probing. Other Supported Keepalive types include; ICMP, TCP, HTTP HEAD, and KAL-AP.
    2. NO
    3. Its do-able using multi-port feature. Using this feature GSS can send keepalives to two IPs and mark the APPlication server UP (& serve its IP in DNS requests) only if both Keepalives are successfull.
    4. Yes. GSS network consists of a Primary GSSM device that pushes all the DNS rules to the other GSS appliances in the network.
    5. GSS by itself only supports "A" records. Using CNR on GSS gives you DNS server like functionality. CNR CNR follows the RFC 3046 (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3046.txt')">http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3046.txt)
    6.IPV6 is not supported.

    Hello Everyone,
I moving the signup for building CRM Technical FAQ into this thread.  We will keep the list here until we get something more formal.  I will update thread based on your posts below. I will try to "bump" this up every week.

  • Installing Arch Linux after Windows 7 64bit dual boot

    Total noob here ^^
Im trying to install Arch Linux after my installation of Windows 7, without fucking up that one...
I freed up 50GB and removed it from my Windows boot partition, so Arch can be installed there, I have almost absolutely no experience with this kind of stuff since I've only used Ubuntu and Kali Linux before.
I've got a working arch image on my usb stick and i somehow can't figure out, how to install it without touching the existing partitions.
Is it possible to create a working dual boot, without changing my windows configuration?

yes its possible. What research have you done in order to install Arch. We do not hand hold here in this community. Go read up the appropriate wiki pages and ask specific questions with details in case you get stuck.

    Hi Folks,
I am facing a tricky challenge to join a table with multiple rows and converge into a single row (based on ID, period) and join with another table to get a single row. Let me explain.
Table 1: DTL_TABLE (id, period, course, names, title, type)
1 2010 mat john null null
1 2010 mat jim null null
1 2010 cam null officer null
1 2010 cam null Prof null
1 2010 phy null null Inclass
1 2010 phy null null Online
    Join with
Table 2: ID_TABLE(id, period, Loc, Dept, Code)
    1 2010 nj 101 CC.
Output format (id, period, course, names, title, type, Loc, Dept, Code)
    result : 1 2010 mat,cam,phy john,jim officer,prof inclass,online nj 101 CC
I have created all the DDLs and DMLs if that help. Kindly let me know if a Join SQL query is possible.

  • Get "Creation Script" of the existing table ( in SQL database) using C# and without using SMO dlls

    Hi All,
I need to get the "Creation Script" of the existing table using c# and without using SMO dlls (is it possible? I don't know).
I.e. In SQL Management Studio -> right click on any table -> Script table as -> Create To  - > open in the new query editor window. This will give you the schema of the table with the constraints of the table.
For E.g. In Northwind database, for the table "Categories", I would like to get it as show below
    USE [Northwind]
    GO
    SET ANSI_NULLS ON
    GO
    SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON
    GO
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[Categories](
        [CategoryID] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL,
        [CategoryName] [nvarchar](15) NOT NULL,
        [Description] [ntext] NULL,
        [Picture] [image] NULL,
     CONSTRAINT [PK_Categories] PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED
        [CategoryID] ASC
    )WITH (PAD_INDEX  = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE  = OFF, IGNORE_DUP_KEY = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS  = ON, ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS  = ON) ON [PRIMARY]
    ) ON [PRIMARY] TEXTIMAGE_ON [PRIMARY]
    GO
I would like to get the same schema using c#. Please help.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kalai.

SMO is the easiest way to get this. This is what Management Studio uses. If you can't use SMO, get a Profiler trace of the queries that SMO executes when generating the script and execute the same using ADO.NET.

  • How do I setup CalDav and CardDav servers on my Mac to enable local 'cloud' syncing in Mavericks

I've decided to start off a new thread having initially posted on How to locally sync an iPhone with OS X Mavericks? iCloud is NOT an option.
It is clear to me that it is possible to establish syncing locally without going outside one's own home, and without internet access. I am bugged by the fact that the previous service has gone without any user focussed warning, but I am keen to find a way of solving the problem. If you are just frustrated, I'd be grateful if you can keep your annoyance off this thread.
My guess is that a CalDav and CardDav server hosted on my own Mac can be set upt to sync with my iPhone (3GS) either on a Computer-to-Computer (ad hoc) network or via my own home LAN. The trouble is I am not network/Apache savvy enough to use it.
I am reluctant to fork out an additional amount for the Mavericks server as I don't have any other foreseeable need for it, but Mavericks comes with Apache pre-loaded and there is a very light, simple and free open source CalDav and CardDav server in Baïkal. The trouble is I am not apache/network savvy enough to make use of it, and basically I am stumbling along in the near dark with terminal.
There are some good resources for setting up Apache and for setting up Virtual Hosts which would host my personal 'cloud', and Baïkal also comes with setup guides as well. The trouble is, I don't quite have enough knowledge to marry the two together. Is there anyone contributing to or watching this thread who has the know-how to do a proper step by step guide for running Baïkal on Apache as installed in the Mavericks OS, and setting up a local 'cloud'.
AFAICT the problem with the resources I have found is that the Apache stuff I've found doesn't particularly focus on running Baïkal, and the Baïkal documentation is not specific to Apache on Mavericks. Is there anyone out there who can give me some help with this?
    Can anyone help - please?

I've now downloaded ownCloud 4.5.13 and followed the installation instructions in the Administrators Manual. I am slightly concerned to read under MacOS: "This section of the manual needs to be revised."
However, I have followed the instructions there, and step 5 has taken me to the web setup page where I have created an account with user name and password.
Then I went to Calendar, and from the Calendar menu chose Add Account… In the dialog that followed I chose Add CalDAV Account. I chose Account Type Manual and put in the username and password I used when setting up the ownCloud account. For the URL I followed the manual and put: http://ADDRESS/remote.php/caldav/principals/username/ substituing 'localhost:8888/ownCloud' for the address, and my ownCloud username for the username. (If I just used 'localhost:8888' for the address it produced the message: "The URL http://localhost:8888/remote.php/caldav/principals/[myusername]/ encountered HTTP error 404. Make sure the URL is correct.".)
So far I am semi-sucessful. It has created a Http://Localhost:8888/Owncloud account on Calendar in which I have been able to creat a test calendar and an event. I have also deleted the event, but Calendar will not let me delete the calendar. Once I inserted a second calendar the Delete command became available, but failed with this notice: "http://localhost:8888/ownCloud/remote.php/caldav/principals/[myusername]/ is not a location that supports this request." A retry deleted the name of the calendar, but left it otherwise intact. The account now has a grey triangle next to it which when clicked produces the following: "The request (CalDAVCalendarSplitDualTypeCalendarQueueableOperation) for account “Http://Localhost:8888/Owncloud/Remote” failed."
I think this may be resolved by an ownCloud setting. I will see if I can track this down. Has anyone here got any thoughts?

    Hello,
if you got problems with the kernel, you can try backbox-linux. The kernel there is newer. It is based on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

  • Dual boot CentOS and Windows 7

    Hello,
I am looking for such solutions wherein I can have CentOS as a dual boot along with WIndows 7. I tried searching for resources and found the following link very helpful.

This should help. Please follow the above steps if you can find your required Linux Distributors iso's similar to the CentOS.

First, you need to configure your broadband router. WLAN security puntually.
For Windows, you need to install drivers. When the wireless card drivers are installed, Windows automatically will detect any WLAN (ADSL routers use standard options, like showing the name of the WLAN).
For other any OS, read the FAQ.
PS: Always check hardware compatibility before installing an OS.

    Hi Kalyan,
SAP 4.72 onwards system is unicode compliant.
THE WS_DOWNLOAD and WS_UPLOAD function modules are not compatible for unicode systems.
So it is replaced with this new FM GUI_UPLOAD.
There is a SAP note on this issue  Note 992677 - FMs WS_DOWNLOAD & WS_UPLOAD incompatible for unicode systems
    regards,nishant
please reward points if this helps.

  • Can't get burned CD to be read on my laptop itunes which I'm trying to transfer music to. It just says 'track 1' for the entire CD, and can't be copied. Says unknown error -50 when I try to import. Any ideas?

So...I'm trying to transfer my itunes music to my laptop. I set up a new itunes on my laptop and, with great difficulty (I'm not technical), I've managed to be successful with the help of my memory stick, which saves wasting CDs.
However, for some reason a few tracks by a couple of artists don't seem to have transferred. So I had the idea to burn a CD and then copy that directly to my laptop.
There doesn't seem to be any trouble burning the CD - that works fine. I just select audio CD, and done within a minute or so. But when I then put the CD in my disc drive, it doesn't work.
It says 'track 1', with no other tracks for the entire CD. When I try to import it, it says 'unknown error -50'. I've tried tinkering with the import settings, but it makes no difference.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
I'm not that computer literate, so please make it idiot proof

You can use the bootstrap tar.gz files that are found in the same directory as the iso on every mirror.  If you go to the download page, select the mirror of your choice, you will see a file called "archlinux-bootstrap-2013.10.01-x86_64.tar.gz" (one for i686 also).  That is what you need.
Unpack it whereever you think is appropriate, if you have enough RAM you can use /tmp.  Then after setting up the partitions in the host (Kali/Debian, or whatever), you can arch-chroot to that unpacked directory.  There you will find all the tools necessary to install (pacman and the arch-install-scripts).
This method has one issue though, and that is that the arch-chroot script (and maybe others) requires some pretty new versions of various things.  In particular, I think that a pretty new version of bash is required.  So I am not sure about the viability of this solution on anything debian, as their stable repos tend to be pretty conservative.  It also means that you need to have a pretty good understanding of the install process, as you will still mostly follow the beginners guide, but it will require a few changes in the procedure.
    Good luck.
