every single day i check here to see the latest developments in the ongoing hh5 problem. so many people with the exact same problem that has nothing to do with their personal settings. every day the same response: it's not our fault we fixed everything. you have not fixed anything and are quite simply a disgrace.

Problems with "Background Eraser Tool" and "Blur". The tools don't affect the whole area but just connect the start and the last points.

I have some issues with Photoshop CC 2014. The tools "Background Eraser Tool" and "Blur" won't work correctly. When I’m holding down the left mouse button and trying to erase or blur some area, the tools don’t affect the whole area but just connect the start and the last points – like drawing a line. These troubles exist with mentioned tools only, other tools work correctly.
I’ve restored each tool separately, restored all the tools together, installed new drivers for tablet, re-installed Photoshop and even Windows. Nothing helped. These tools worked correctly earlier with the same adjustments, but one day something went wrong.
How can I make the tools work correctly?

• Windows 7 Home Basic SP1 x64
• Intel Core i5 2.53 GHz
• 4Gb RAM

I have a similar problem with the Background Eraser tool as well. It's the same both on my PC and on my laptop, both running Win 8.1 and PS CC2014. Would be great to have a solution for this. Did you managed to find a fix?

Multiple rollovers changing whole area in flash: problem

I have the following situation:
I have a large image that I want to create "hot spots" on.
This is my lets say 1000 by 1000 image.
on that image i have two 50 by 50 squares one below the
other.
I want to make it such that if I roll over one square the
1000 by 1000 image changes to a different image, and likewise for
the second square.
I tried this using the button "up" properties as well as
trying things with on rollover(). Apparently problems crop up due
to the fact that the image being brought up by the rollover is very
big and covers the other hotspot, and thus "covering" it and not
allowing it to work.
What is the simplest (likely brut force) way of making this
work? This is for a stand along application, so speed is not as
much an issue.. note i have never really actionscripted..

There are various techniques but I would probably make the
1000x1000 image into a movieclip. Give it an instance name of
something like imgswap. Add a layer to theis movieclip and put in a
keyframe on frame one, add a stop()' action. Add another frame,
same thing with the stop action but change the image on the other
layer. Now you have a movieclip with two layers, and two frames,
each containing a stop action and a different image. Add more
images as necessary for the project.
On you hot spots or buttons, use the folling script:
on(release){
imgswap.gotoAndStop(x);
"x" being the frame number of the image you want to show.
This will make the movieclip fo to the correct frame containing the
new image.

Select Whole Populated Area

Hi -
I just got my iMac 5 days ago so please bear with me. So far I am in absolute love with it.
My question is this - in Numbers is there a keyboard shortcut that is equivalent to Excel Ctrl-Shift-Arrow Key to select a whole area in a table that is populated?
Holding shift allows me to select on cell at a time but is there a shortcut to get the whole row/ column?

Agreeing with Yvan that there doesn't appear to be a keyboard shortcut to selecting an entire Column or Row, would you be happy with a single mouse click? Clicking the label at the top of a Column or at the left end of a Row will select the entire Column or Row. If you didn't want quite the entire Column or Row, you can then Command-Click individual cells to deselect them.

Display getting wholes in rMBP Mid 2014

My macbook pro retina 13" 2014 model has had something happen to the display, Basically I was at school, going between classes and noticed in my last class 6 dead looking pixels. Upon closer inspection I noticed that they are actually punctured wholes in the display. Behind them is a little dot. When I got home I instantly reported this to apple support and I asked if this is covered by warranty, He said Yes it is covered then gave me a number to call, But they we're closed on the day of report. So the next day I took the computer back to school to find that there were now 20+ of these all over the screen. I called the number to look at it getting fixed I asked if it would be covered again, just to make sure. The guy said "Depending on what the problem is" Well, I have done nothing to cause this. Its like the pixel has exploded and broken the display in some way, but it has kept happening. These wholes are very small, but they draw my eyes to them so im getting it sent in so it won't happen again. The problem is will this be covered? Because I paid $1,650 NZD for this and it shouldn't be happening under 3 months after purchase. Ive been told they remove the whole lid making it cost over $800, so I would not be able to pay for this and its likely to keep happening.

There's a 95% chance that this has nothing to do with you using it, but Apple can't testify it's their fault if they haven't seen the device yet. Bring it to an Apple Store or send it to them so that they can look it up. If the screen is indeed misbehaving, then they'll change it free of charge, and in the 5% chance that it's your fault, they'll be able to explain what you did to make this happen, so you'll fully understand the problem, and they will give you the choice to (pay for the) repair or not

How can I insert elements in other elements or areas.

I have a small problem with interlaced elements.
For example. I created a new area and inserted an accordion widget. When I viewed the result in the web browser for the first time, everything looked fine. When I clicked on one of the accordion links the whole area and also the following text extended.
So I started to fill in more text elements after the accordion. But not all of them are inside the extending area. Some of them seem to be outside and won´t float with the rest.
I´ve already tried to fix this with the layer order but it doesn´t work.

How do I stretch a JButtonImage to use the whole cell in a GridLayout?

I have a problem that is similar to what Edilmar_Alves had when posting the thread "I don't get to stretch an image in a JButton" in February 2009, though this is a bit different so I'm posting it in a new thread.
I also want to put an image in a JButton (or similar) in such a way that the image covers the whole area of the JButton. I've downloaded the SubMacroForms package and I'm trying to use a JButtonImage, where I set the size of it to exactly the size of the image I use.
It works if I just put the button in a JPanel using FlowLayout, but that's not what I really want. I need a 2 dimensional array of JButtonImages, since they will form the board of a game.Therefore I'm using a JPanel with GridLayout, to put the buttons in.
The problem is that when the JButtonImage buttons are added to the cells of the GridLayout, they don't cover the whole area of the cells (there's space at the top and at the bottom). What can I do about this? It's absolutely crucial that I fix this problem, because I can't have any space between the buttons (e.g. the images on them) since they will be forming something similar to a chess board.
Should I use some other layout or try to make my own Layout manager perhaps?
Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!

Need to be able to block area codes or allow only from specific ones

One of my numbers is receiving calls from several soliciters from Oregon, and all are robo dialing applications that you cannot ask to be removed from. Since, I don't know anyone from Oregon, I would like to block the whole area code.
I am also on the do not call list, which apparently does not work. And this is a wireless phone number being solicited.
I consider this is a serious privacy issue.
Entering numbers one at a time will not work, and I'm afraid the default limits of 90 days and 10 callers is poor customer service on Verizon's behalf. I know, I can double that number for a mere 4.99 a month (sarcasm). Seems like Verizon is profiting off illegal phone scams if you ask me.

What is it with phone companies? Since the days of Ma Bell and AT&T they have consistantly the very worse in customer service.
Your request to block an entire area code is exactly what is needed to stop all these telemarketing calls from scum who refuse to honor the do not call list. I am computer programmer, it would be very easy to accomplish a block such as this yet Verizon does not seem to offer this.
I get up to 3 a day sometimes from area code 503 on either credit card rates or home security. I am tempted to claim to want the home security product just to get one of them at my door and let them see my .357 home security system while I call the police.
This is harassment pure and simple yet the phone companies seem to keep selling lines to these vermin and ignoring those of us paying exorbitant monthly fees.

Cell background colors are not showing in preview - help? - DW4

Hi,
I created a horizontal table for my menu bar, and gave each cell a different color by creating a separate class for each with background image - image is a block of color created in Photoshop. In design mode they look they way I want, but in preview (Safari) the colors don't show up at all - the whole area is gray, and all I see is the text for each cell. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Alternatively, is there a better way I can set this up to have different colors for each button?

Defined pattern is not covering the whole image

I want to use the Pattern Stamp tool to clone a painting effect from a photograph to a new layer.
What I am finding is that the pattern is perfectly replicated on the new layer except that a thin strip of the sky is appearing at the bottom of the image. It seems like a strip of the top of the image is appearing at the bottom of the new layer version
I am selecting the whole area of the source image before defining the image as a pattern. It is not a problem of the "Aligned" setting - that is always selected.
Grateful for any ideas as to what is going on.

Does the layer with the painting effect have transparency in the layer at the top or bottom or is the effect layer smaller in size than the document bounds?
If your using the pattern stamp on another image and the image has bigger pixel dimensions, then then the pattern will start to repeat.
Maybe you could post a screenshot incuding the layers panel.

My After effects wont render the whole video?

So I recently switched to After Effects CC 2014 and for some reason, When I go to render my video, the first clip is the only thing rendered. I Have the whole area selected open however.

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details like exact comp settings, render settings and what have you.

My timeline area has become huge - can't get at bottom bar

I haven't worked on FCE for a while and when I got a project back up the timeline area has become way too big and I can't access the bottom bar. I have no idea how this happened or what to to. I've read the manual but there is no information on how to get rid of the unnecessary space above the video and under the audio. I don't want to make the tracks smaller, I just want to get rid of the empty unusable area, since I can't get to the bottom of the whole area to click on the tab that would help me narrow it. I find this very curious. I have tried all kinds of old projects and they all come up on this dreadful format of much too much area in the timeline. It's probably some dumb thing, but I need help. Thanks in advance.

No point in reinstalling as the application is working correctly. With the selection tool if you go to the top edge of the timeline window the arrow should change into the resizining tool. This will let you resize the window. There is only so far you can resize it depending on your monitor resolution. If this is not working there is a problem with your system or your mouse.

Coloring issues with magic wand tool and paint bucket tool, leaves uncolored areas near drawn lines

Photoshop CS6 doesn't color properly. Whetever I use brush tool or elliptical marquee tool to do the lines (with brush tool I use Hard Round, not soft), it doesn't color the whole area when i fill them with color. This happens with both magic wand tool AND paint bucket tool, there is always a small uncolored area near the lines. I have tolerance on 30, and anti-alias, contiguous and sample all layers boxes checked. (this setting worked on my old CS3) I have tried tolerance from 0 to 100, no difference. I have also tried unchecking the boxes I just mentioned, still no difference. I hope there is a solution for this, because it is tedious to always go to the Select - Modify - Expand every time I need to color some area. So how do I fix this problem? I use seperate layers for lines and colors, like I have always done with other Photoshop versions. Even in school where they have CS5 those normal settings work.

I don't think this is a "user error". I think Adobe should be able to program a state of the art paint bucket, which is capable to get this done right.
Other applications are able to get this done right.
Please don't fall into a programmer's ignorance ("this is done right by definition") but listen to us artists and improve this unintuitive behavior. Add something like "ignore transparent pixels", because this doesn't even work if you draw on an empty layer.

How to re colour just the faded areas in photos in photoshop elements 10

i have a lot of black and white photos and most of them have just got very faded in just a few spots,how can i re colour just these faded spots?
i have tried to recolour the whole area but but the faded spots are still there !

Flyout menu area blocking access to body

I'm building a site in Dreamweaver that my client is editing
in Contribute. It uses CSS flyout menus. When we try to work on the
pages in Contribute, Contribute blocks out the whole area that the
menu would cover if it was fully expanded. In order to access text
under this area, we have to put the mouse in to the right of that
area and then arrow back under it. Has anyone else come across
this? Is there a fix?
