BT Call Diversion to a Vonage number. Who pays wha...

Hi,
I fail to find the proper answer to this question. People seem to give me different answers. Please help.
I have a BT number that I setup with BT Call Diversion (paying £3.30 a month) to divert it to my new Vonage number (a VOIP service).
My question is :
1-When somebody phones my BT number with landline or mobile, do they pay the call and I have to pay the charges per minute and the monthly fee on top of that, for the diversion?
2-If yes, I obviously pay BT for the monthly fee but who do I pay for the charges per minute? BT or Vonage?
Thanks for any help,

From BTs price list.

  • Call forwarding to an International Number

I am working overseas and have a prepaid phone with a local number in that country. Prior to leaving the US again, can I enter the international number of my prepaid phone into the call forwarding feature on my iPhone and have my calls forwarded to that phone? I assume that the person calling my iPhone will not be charged, but will I be charged for making an international phone call each time a call is forwarded to my international phone number? Are there any other charges involved? Has anyone done this before that can tell me how well it works?

To make sure you should contact AT&T but if you set up call forwarding to an international number, you will be the one charged for the international call since your account/phone is dialing the final number.
Again, find out for sure from AT&T who gets the charge.

  • Migrate Vonage number to Skype online number

Can I close Vonage account and move number to Skype, please?

Is it possible to forward cell phone number to skype online number?  If so, what do I need to do to set it up?  Also, would my carrier (T-Mobile) charge me minutes for forwarded calls? Thanks.
Maybe.  Your phone should have settings to set forwarding for all calls to your T-Mobile number. If you enable that, your T-Mobile phone won't ring anymore, but you could still use your phone to make calls and for sending/receiving SMS or MMS messages.
If you are asking about forwarding calls when the mobile phone is on but you don't answer the phone, instead of those calls going to a T-Mobile voicemail system, you *may* be able to change that.  T-Mobile doesn't let you do that on a prepaid phone, and that appears to be the same if you use some other prepaid services that ride on T-Mobile's network like Straight Talk. It may be possible on a postpaid plan (one where you get a monthly invoice to pay).
As for what T-Mobile would charge, you'd have to check on your plan or contact T-Mobile.  Some plans have unlimited calling that includes call-forwarding, others only provide for a certain number of minutes for call-forwarded calls a month, and then there are some "plans" that make you pay for anything that is call-forwarded from your T-Mobile number.  The T-Mobile web site may be able to help answer that, or a call to their customer service number will need to be made.
    Good luck!

  • Caller identification while using Skype Number

Hi, I live in Canada and set up a Skype Number locates in HongKong to make my friends call me more easily. But soon I found that I could not identify who is the caller when someone is calling my Skype Number.
    For instant,
When I log off the Skype App and use "Call Forward" function of Skype, if someone calls my HK's Skype Number, it always displays "+10000123456" and I cannot know who is the caller except I pickup the phone.
While if I run the Skype App in the backgourd of my cell phone, and someone calls my Skype Number, the skype app will pop up but only shows "Unknow Number"
Could you give me some advice to solve this problem?
    Thanks

There may not be much that can be done.  Caller ID from the telephone network to your Skype Number is controlled by the telephone carrier(s) where your Skype Number is located (Hong Kong). Not all carriers in all countries send Caller ID information to the Skype Number.  When your friends in Hong Kong call each other on their phones, do they see the Caller ID information on those calls?  This may not help your situation when receiving calls on your Skype number, but would at least verify that your friends' phones are sending the Caller ID information out when they call someone.
    Good luck!

  • BT8500 + call diversion

    Hi,
After reading all the positive reviews I decide to treat ourselves to one of the new BT8500 call guardian phones as we do get a lot of nuisance calls….and it works really well.
The only problem we now have is that during the screening process the phones don’t physically ring (I appreciate that’s how it works) and the caller is hearing ringing tone.
The phones actually commence ringing after 3 “rings” ………..but……… we have divert no reply set up which kicks in after 6 rings, so we effectively only have 3 actual physical bursts of ringing in which to answer the phone which is nigh on impossible !
It would be totally impractical and should not be necessary to have to turn divert on / off each and every time we leave and return to the house....6 rings was always a bit on the quick side but 3 is simply ludicrous.
I am a BT employee and have previously asked our maintenance teams if the exchange setting could be changed and have received a negative but this has now become a necessity, the phone has in built guidance to help you set up divert no reply so clearly it is designed to work with it.
     Thanks
    DF

As call diversion is a network facility, I would expect that it would be not be  classed as "calls".
Including it in the anytime calls package could result in people leaving it on all the time to divert a "local" number to a "national" number, and defrauding BT.

Is there a phone number where I can call someone? The phone number in your web page is missing a number. it is listed as 1-800-426-570? One number missing. I just paid with my credit card online for photoshop and it is not allowing me to log in in order to download.

If I click on the adobe.ly link Rajshree gave you, above, there is a phone number at the bottom of the Customer Support contact webpage.
This is the number I see when logged in with an AdobeID associated with the US is:
    800-833-6687
It is possible that you are somewhere else in the world and the webpage is smart enough to give a different phone number, so the number I see may or may not be applicable to where you are.
It also may be advisable to use the Chat instead of the phone, because it may be easier to understand what someone is typing than trying to interpret their English through whatever accent they are speaking with.

When I call using my skype online number, caller id shows the correct number but also displays someone elses name.  How can I remove the name?

I have the same problem. Although I have my Caller ID set to show my Skype Number businesses tell me they're seeing area code 559 with a random/different last 4 digits each time. I just went through an account verification with a vendor and it was impossible to get them to verify - kept telling me I need to be calling from the number they have on file.
Come on Microsoft. There's no way to actually get support (for a paid product no less), let alone see anyone participating in support (hic) forums to resolve countless issues that others are reporting.

Hello me my adobe cc expired and I have already paid and I have not received my serial number, who would wonder about that.

    Hi GreenhatDesarrollo ,
For Creative cloud applications to work you dont need a serial number . CC works on the basis of your Adobe Id & Password so in our case right now I would request you to kindly launch the product and wait for the trial message to come up . Once you have the trial message up , kindly click on Licensing This software and then use your Adobe id & Password that we have used to purchase the creative cloud .
Kindly let me know if this works fine for you or if you require any further support from our side .

  • Why does Verizon call me from unrecognized CA number - 949-286-3973?

It appears that you (Verizon) are calling my cell phone from an unidentified California number - 949-286-3973. From a brief search on the Internet, this seems to be what you are doing. PLEASE STOP DOING THIS!!! I understand it to be a survey about customer service but I do not answer scam calls (any number I don't recognize is a scam caller to me, especially a robo call that does not leave a message). This is the same complaint you know you have heard repeatedly from a lot of your customers but you have determined that you don't care and just keep on doing it. Every time it happens, we have to take the time to research it and figure it out, total bull and you are ******* customers off. Call them from a recognized number or do not call them at all.
This is just like the problem I called about a few weeks ago where you allow $3 to be charged by your company representatives (Verizon brick and mortar store) to process a CASH payment, how stupid is that? IT'S CASH!!! DAH! Dumbest thing I've ever heard, and yes it is your responsibility regardless or your insistence that they are franchised, you allow them to access your system to process the payments, that is totally on you and to say otherwise is just a lie.
Again, I and most customers consider these type of unrequested unrecognized calls a form of harassment. If you are trying to improve your processes and customer relations, you are going about it in completely the wrong way!

I got a call today from this number - since I use my phone as a business phone and do get calls from clients or potential clients that I do not have in my contact list (yet), I DO answer calls where I do not recognize the number.
I answered it, it was a survey, took about 3 minutes to punch in a few numbers, and then hang up.  They probably won't call again unless I call customer service again, which was what triggered this call today.
You've done the research, take the survey and be done with it.

You use Restore to get the latest firmware build, not the Update button. You can only use the Update button, if there is an iOS update, say iOS 5.1.
this link talks about updating to 9A406 to fix the "No Service" issue with iPhone 4S:
