BT changed my number 6 times in 6 days! Death in ...

Ok someone explain this to me - 6 number in 6 days. I migrated to BT from another provider and requested to keep the same number.
Here's how it went - the VERY, VERY short version.
Day 1 - The changeover day - no dial tone for the whole day - 1 hour phone call and advised to "wait until tomorrow"
Day 2 - Given a random phone number - told this was 'normal practice' - how else can BT change the number without giving me a temporary number...
Day 3 - another random number - "sir - I don't know what went wrong with that..."
Day 4 - yet another number - can't quite believe it - more phone calls trying to get hold of a manager - a manager will phone me tomorrow.
Day 5 - Still no phone call from a manager - yet another different phone number - yet another promise - "Sir you have my word as a gentleman - your line will definitely be fixed by tomorrow at 10.20 am"
Day 6 - yet another number - the manager (not a CS manager) I have managed to track down says there is not even a record of my original number! Even though the last thing I asked the advisor form the previous day was "Please repeat back to me the original number". He did so...
Day 7 - Seems to be a real CS manager this time - guess what - another number. I'm assured once again that my number will be reinstated tomorrow - she will see to it personally.
Day 8 - got the number back.
Now - this was a bad week for this to happen. My Uncle had just died and I had to deal with funeral arrangements. His wife had a fall and is now in hospital with a fractured pelvis. Friends, family, hospital, undertaker - all trying to get a hold of me. You get the picture.
In the meantime my ISP had cut me off as the line is dead and they can't get a hold of me. £140 for a reconnect - they are ENTANET - (Seriously Internet).
All because I went back to BT.
Anyone that's taken the time to read this - BEWARE OF BT!!!!!!
Official complaint going into OFCOM - requested copies of all data and transcripts of phone calls (maybe 5-6 hours in total). Someone has a lot of explaining to do - preferably in a court of law!

Reset both devices ...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.

How do I change the number of times my phone rings before going to voice mail?

I want to make calls go to voice mail after 3 or 4 rings. Right now it is taking about 5 to 6 rings. Can I make this change?

I'm sorry to see your co-worker was not able to reach you kaokim. We know how important it is to be able to receive and make calls in a reliable manner. I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.
As advised earlier in the thread, there is a specific time it will ring, and it can't be changed. However, to make sure you're provisioned correctly, make sure call forwarding is disabled by calling *73.

Changing the default event time to all-day in Month View?

I updated to Mavericks today, and when I went to add an event to my Calendar, I discovered that all-day was not the default time. In Mountain Lion, when going to add an event in Month View, it was automatically set to all-day, which is perfect because all of my events are all-day events. Now, it's being set to 9:00 to 10:00, and I have to check the box to make it all-day. I know that this isn't much work, but when I'm adding dozens of events it starts to get a little annoying.
Calendar 7.0, OS X 10.9 (Mavericks).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think that it is possible, even using Terminal. If you want to change your workflow, "all day" events can easily be created in the Day/Week view, but as you stated the Month view poses a problem.

An existing event last all day:
In Day, Week, or Month view, double-click the event, click the date, then select “All-day.”
A multiday event:

An all-day event into a multiday event:
In Week view, drag the all-day event across multiple days.

Been lied to a number of times in two days

EDIT I was going to remove the word "lied from the title but I could not find a suitable substitute. Either I was lied to or I was dealing totally incompetent customer service reps.

I called yesterday (Friday 7/6/2012) to check the status and was told it would ship late last night or early this morning (Saturday). I explained that I am leaving for a ten day trip early Tuesday and no one will be around to sign for the phone or pick it up for me. Later in the day I dialed 611 and went through the automated service and it told me it had been shipped, received and activated. I called back and was told it was not shipped and would definitely be shipped early Saturday morning and I would get it by Monday.
I just called back (Saturday at noon) because there was no change in the update and customer service switched me to the internet shipping department which informed me that they do not ship on the weekends and my phone would be shipped on Monday and I should get it on Tuesday
I did thank them for lying to me at least twice about being shipped on Saturday.
I have three lines with Verizon. I have been with them from the beginning and coincidently as of Monday the 9th all my contracts will have expired.
So my phone will be sent back because no one will be there to get.

Although I am new to mac, I am not new to computers and purchasing online. I can't sign into the App store after installing Lion. I have had to change my password 4 times in 2 days . I am so sick of this. I am trying to buy a tutorial for Lion.

How long could that take???? If it wouldn't hurt the person who gifted me this i-Mac, I would give it back.

You need to set up the accounts in System Preferences/Accounts, then activate Fast User Switching.
That way you can quickly log in to your own account - then back to his.
You should obviously have different passwords.

I have an array of values, and I need to find the number of times that the array changes signs (from positive to negative, or vice versa). In other words from a graphical standpoint, how many times a certain line crosses the x-axis. Counting the number of times the array equals zero does not help however, because the array does not always equal exactly zero when it crosses the axis (ie, the points could move from .1 to -.1).

No. Apple has no way of doing that.
