BT Cloud appears not to be backing up
Have just switched to a newer laptop and installed BTCloud. (From XP to Win7) On my last laptop, eachtime I powered on, BTCloud would run and upload changed files.
This doesn't appear to be happening, unless it is happening in the background.
Is there anyway I can force an update or check when the last one occurred ?
Should I delete and reload BTCloud ?

Once you've done the initial TM backup, I think you'll be surprised how little space each successive backup takes. Also, TM will alert you when you are running low on disk space and ask if you want to delete the oldest backups.
Yes, TM runs on a process of exclusion, so just exclude all but your Home folder.
Alternatively, if all you want is to backup is your Home you can just drag your Home folder to your external to make a copy.

You should be storing everything on your computer and you should always backup your computer. Have you failed to do these things?

The problem is with my iPhoto on my Macbook air. I am trying to move my library from my airbook onto my passport drive. I did it and deleted it from the airbook but it simply re appeared possibly from the cloud. Not sure what to do next. Sorry I am not a techie.

what do you have? Version of iPhoto? Of the OS? How is the passport connected to your Mac? What format is the passport (for the iphoto library it must be Mac OS extended (journaled) )? The iPhoto library is not and can not be on the cloud (maybe later with the Photos Application)

The Apple techs are looking. But they can't find it. Nor can they find a back up on my laptop, Evidently when I backed up my Iphone to computer the calendar wasn't syncing. Since I only use the calander on my phone - I never noticed.
The Apple store rep that sold me the I-Phone 5 on Monday, was transferring my contacts and calendar thru I-Cloud (I never used I-Cloud before that moment - and always had it turned off). He successfully transferred the contacts - which are still on my phone), but the Calendar weirdly split into 6 calendars (2 of which were linked to my G-Mail which only had a few entries) (4 were linked to my MSN / Hotmail email and contained all the major events/data). I never created calendars that were separate or liked them to 2 different emails. I just typed entries into the I-Phone calendar. However, the calendar did exist on the new I-Phone for 24 hours. Something happened during transfer. When the Apple Genius Bar tech was attempting to back up my Calendar & merge the 6 calendars, everything disappeared in his hand while he was looking at it.
I am hoping that some really good data recovery expert exists that can restore the calendar that was in both I-Phones yesterday. It is completely devastating if I can't recover it.
Any help, or referrals, is great appreciated!!!!

My win8 pc hard drive failed. After the hard drive was replaced, I copied iTunes Media backupfiles from external hard drive (Karen's Replicator backup software was used). ITunes does not recognize these back up files even though the location is the same as cloud & recently burned music that does show- help! The backup files consist of 34,000+ songs; almost all burned from my own CD collection. I do have most of the songs on an ipod classic but hesitate to try to restore from that. Can someone tell me how to get these 34,000 songs to show up in iTunes? Thanks!!

The red outline highlights the media folder and its contents, the various subfolders are only created if that kind of content is in your library. The right-hand side shows the files that should be found in the iTunes library folder; sentinel is normally hidden so may not be visible. The core of your iTunes library is the file iTunes Library.itl, you need to restore this, the other library files and the Album Artwork folder, as well as the media folder, to restore your library.

Time Machine appears to be doing back-ups, but they do not appear on the external hard drive. The last one I can find is June 30. I did a utility scan of the hard drive disk and it is fine. What do I do?
Click the Time Machine icon in the menu bar. The time of the last backup is shown in the drop down.

I lost my IPhone 4S this morning and want to increase my cloud storage so I can back it up when it finds a signal and then remotely erase it...I'm assuming the worst that whoever finds is will not call me or want to return the phone. I went to icloud but it only govers me options to increase storage from my iPhone or a synced computer (mac or PC).
If the phone is offline there is no way to track it or send a message to it. You can place it in lost mode to lock it and send it a message (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmfc0f0165), but this will not take place until the phone goes back online, if it ever does. If it does, you will get an email informing you.

my iphone will not allow me to save events on the calendar. I use the plus sign and get a screen to enter the event name and time but when I go to hit save, it is not there. When I hit "done" which is where the "save" button should be, the screen disappears and the event is not saved. I tried seeing if all of my calendars were on but that doesn't appear to be the issue.

HT5824 my cloud has not backed up since 3/2/14 i need help i have no clue what im doing!
when i go into settings and cloud the only app i have marked on is the find my iphone app. how do i go on to see what is in the cloud to delete stuff. its saying i need 5.3gb of storage to back up. i have my contacts, calendar, and notes set to back up. i dont even know how to view whats out in cloud land to see if i still need it. help me please

Mary K.You can get an idea of what is using your storage by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage on your phone. You can see all of your iCloud data from within the apps on your phone that are syncing with iCloud (mail, contacts, calendars, notes, etc.). You can also see some of it by going to icloud.com from your computer.
If you need to reduce your storage, this article provides some suggestions: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4847. In addition to what's mentioned there, if you have lots of photos or videos in your text messages, they can greatly increase the size of your iCloud backup. Deleting these from your messages, may significantly reduce the size of your backup. -
Why does cloud logo not appear next to some songs in my iTunes library? Does it not save them for some reason?

The cloud logo means that you purchased these songs from the iTunes Store but haven't downloaded them to your computer yet. If you want, click the clouds to download the songs and the cloud logo's will disappear for those songs too. -

How did you delete the Note? If you did a "select all" and "cut", open the Note and shake your iPhone to undo the cut action.

I cloud does not show Numbers app listed although I Cloud button in Numbers is on. Therefore unable to back up Numbers data.

I just tried to download the Wheel Of Fortune app. A cloud with a downward arrow appeared next to it. When I clicked on it, it appeared to download, then a circle with a square inside it appeared. When I clicked on that, the cloud with the arrow came back. What's going on?
Don't click on the circle, that is just telling you it's downloading. When you click it, it stops downloading.
