Bt decor 1300 - missed call display

I recently purchased a BT decor 1300 - there is an annoying feature - there does not seem to be any way of deleting the missed call message display + flashing red light. I am an older person and I am wondering if I have missed a trick here.

If you go into the Calls List and scroll down through the list and view each of the calls listed that should stop the flashing red LED.

Just wondering if anyone knows if you are able to alter the "11 Missed Calls" display on IP Phones? Is it able to be modified such as Init:CallHistory wipes all call history?

It's not possible. You can override the status line via CTI (TAPI only), but if you want something visible all the time (as an example) the only choice you have is write a CTI app that keeps your own call lists.

My phone does not ring when receiving a call. It then goes to voicemail and doesn't show a missed call.

I have an iPhone 4. When someone tries to call me, the phone sometimes(most of the time now) does not ring. It will roll over to voicemail but does not show a missed call. Has anyone had this same thing happen and how did you get it rectified?

My wife's iphone 4 also has your same no ring problem as does my iphone 5 just less often. I called her iphone 4 at home from where I work 20 miles away on my iphone 5. With her phone in 3G mode ONE call went through and 9 went to voice mail in 10 tries. This is a 10% sucess rate!! I also could listen in real time from the wired work phone and the wired home phone. She turned off 3G mode and it went to "O" mode at the top left of the screen after the ATT. In this mode it rang on the first ring tone 5 times out of 5 tries which is 100% of the time. I have learned that the calling party will hear up to 4 ring tones when placing a call on the ATT network. If the ring tone changes volume slightly before the 4th ring then and only then will the cell phone start to ring. If the ring tone does not change after the 4th ring you get voice mail. If the calling party does not leave a voice message there is never a missed call displayed on the iphone. If the calling party does leave a voice message a few minutes later the iphone dings for arriving voice mail but still no missed call indication.
This appears to be related to the time of day and the ATT tower that the receiving caller is using. Tried other towers and it works in 3G mode 10 times out of 10 tries. Apple replaced the first iphone 4 with a new phone, no improvement. ATT replaced the SIM card and no improvement. ATT so far is clue less. This has been going on every since we got the new iphones which is 4 months. The ATT web site also describes this same problem from several years ago. Has anyone got better information?

Possible to have Mail display like an SMS or Missed Call?

Is it possible to have a mail icon or message display when new mail is received via a POP3 mail account (non-push)? Basically, the exact same thing that (if you have it turned on) pops up for a missed call or an SMS message. I'm looking for the same thing, just for new email messages.

Did you reset your phone like this: Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
If that didn't help I suggest having a technician examine your phone. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Caller Display Decor 2200

My elderly Mum has bought herself a new phone with caller display so she knows who's ringing her but it doesn't seem to be working, we registered for Privacy at Home early on Thursday morning and it should have been active within 24 hours, I've checked she's got the full numbers entered (incl STD) and she has and I've looked in the manual to see if we've have to switch caller display on but can't find anything. Has anyone got any ideas?

7945 phone not displaying 'missed calls' notifications

Hello,
I have a user who is no longer getting the 'missed calls' notifications on her phone. This has previously worked but now isn't.
They have tried logging into another phone however the issue is still occurring for them suggesting it's an issue with their user profile rather than the phone.
Can anybody provide any assistance?

Cisco TAC has said it is directly related to an ITL file sych issue with the phone. The best way to fix it 100% of this time on any phone Is factory default reset. Never mind what firmware is on the phone as it is not common to one device or firmware load. Do this:
1 – unplug lan cables from back of phone
2- press and hold # key down and don’t let go
3- plug wires back in while still holding # key down
4- with # key still held in, wait for sequence of lights to blink next to line selection buttons. Should take maybe 1 min for this to happen
5- when lights blink in sequence, release # key
6- enter 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 * 0 #
7- wait a full 5 minutes or more for phone to fully download it’s software. It will say different things on the screen but eventually will fully load and reboot.

Cannot access Recent/Missed Calls List iPhone 3GS

Hello,
Recently, without any known change to the phone (no update, firmware, change setting, etc.) I cannot access the Recents folder (list of all calls) on the phone. This is the folder at the bottom of the phone screen when you access the phone and is listed along with the Favorites, Contacts, Keypad and Voicemail folders. Also, the phone will still display the incoming call while its ringing, but it wont show the missed call callout box you normally see when you miss calls. Caller ID still works and all other phone features work normal. Strangely enough, the little red numbers that display how many unviewed calls are in that folder still works and keeps on adding up
When I try and access that folder, I get a little screen flash and the phone goes back to the desktop screen.
This is what I have tried:
-Upgraded software to 4.3.4 The upgrade was successful. Did not fix problem.
-Backed up the phone and did a restore through itunes. Did not fix problem.
- Did a phone reset through the phone settings. Did not fix problem.
I don't know what else to do. This feature is very imporant to me.

Questions in Lync missed call notifications.

Hello Experts,
We have the following environment:
Environment
Currently there are no exchange UM’s in place.
Has PBX to route the Enterprise calls.
Missed call Behaviour
When Lync receives the call, based on the calling number trunk translation rules the number is normalised and is presented with the missed call notification and Callee names will not be shown.
What we are seeing here is a mixture, that when we get a call from the PBX, RNL is successful and I get the caller's picture, Name and E.164 number in the notification window for new call. But for the actual missed call notification,
we only get the name (no number).
Hence wanted to understand Lync missed call notification generation logic (where does it get the name from [RNL], which number does it show [called or AD], does it show the number etc ? ) as we are seeing mixed results with and without
phone numbers or Names.
Please advise. Thank in advance.

Lync Server and Exchange Unified Messaging server are responsible to initiate a missed call notification. Lync Server generates a missed call notification by sending a SIP INFO message to Exchange unified messaging server, which in turn
performs a reverse number lookup of the caller and sends email to the callee with the missed call details.
During this reverse number lookup, if the incoming number is associated with any user or contact object on server (Exchange UM, Active Directory) or recipients personal contacts,
it will be mapped with the caller or object name. If no match is found, just display the caller’s phone number or name.

Exchange UM 2010 Missed Call Notifications removes extensions

We have integration of Lync Server 2010 and UM 2010. Our internal users don't have a DID, just extensions off our main number. When a user is enabled for UM, they get a missed call notification from UM. The trouble is, telephone number is displayed correctly,
with extension but the link behind it strips the extension. For example it shows work number 222-333-4444 x4422 but if you hover the mouse over it, the actual link reads tel: 2223334444 which is the main number.
If I disable UM for this user, then Lync gets to send the missed call notification, and in this case the link reads tel:+12223334444;ext=4422 and when a user clicks on it, the Lync client dials the extension vs the main number.
MS Support tells me this is by design. Is there a way to configure this to where UM will pass the extensions in the link.

Is there at least a way to hide the "Work:" field or make it non-clickable, so users are not sent to the wrong place?

Text/missed call indicator icons no long showing

This is a minor thing, but I prefer to have the area below the clock and above the list of icons to show me alerts such as that I have a text msg or a missed call or a voicemail. It was doing this before but for some reason now all I get is the blinking red light but the alert icons are no longer showing up.
I looked through the forums and couldnt find anything also tried to mess with settings but haven't come up with anything.

Emails and Texts will always have an audio and vibration (if turned on) cue when something comes in. Text messages and toasts will turn on the phone to show you the message for a brief period same as the iPhone and any Andriod device.
In regards to a notification light, no such thing in Windows Phone Nokia devices.
All you have to do is turn on the phone and on the lock screen you should see your missed calls, emails and texts. Toast messages will not be displayed on the lock screen. We'll have to wait for Windows Phone 8.1 next month to get a notification center type interface.

Caller Display no longer working

I have had Caller Display since our exchange was updated to System X - must be 20 years (it used to be called CLI when I worked for BT) and it has always worked perfectly.
A few weeks ago, it stopped working and seems to be beyond BT's capability to fix it. I have scanned the forum and have tried everything suggested but nothing seems to make any difference.
I have a separate 50 number caller display, which I had from the beginning and a modern BT Hudson cordless phone. The caller display doesn't register and the phones just say 'external call'. Dialling *#234# gives announcement 'callers identity will be displayed'.
I have tried connecting the display and a different phone, directly to the NTE, under the faceplate, and using different makes of filter.
BT have made several attempts to reset the facility and have taken it out of service and reinstated it. Nothing has made any difference, although on one occasion a couple of numbers did briefly display and then it stopped working again.
Finally, I got cross and insisted that they sent engineer to sort it. When he arrived, he had no idea what to do about it and said that he wouid hand it back to the exchange. Later that day I received a text to say it was fixed but it wasn't.
After all this I began to wonder whether both my devices had coincidentially gone faulty together, so yesterday I took the display to a friends house where it worked perfectly!
I have reported the fault again but have no confidence that it will be rectified. If anyone has anything else I could try I would be most grateful. CLI is a really useful facility and I miss it greatly!
Maybe the only solution is to go to Virgin which, as a loyal BT person, I would hate to do?

It does sound that you have done all the relevent tests to prove where the fault is.
I assume you have tried it without a Home Hub / Router connected? I have known these to mask the CLI.

N97 - Missed calls not logged

Hi,
Just got a new N97 with Vodafone and getting the same problems as others (backlight etc). I can live with that for now until the Vodafone firmware is available.
But missed calls are important to me. I'm getting missed calls but not logged. I just get 'no missed calls' in the log but I get the missed calls notification. The 'Received calls' and 'Dialled numbers' logs are working fine.
Now sure if this another firmware issue or some settings not set correctly. I've not managed to find this problem on the net.
Any help appreciated.

I've uinstalled the app (and also any apps I think might be causing the problem) and did an soft reset (*#'7780#).
I've also tried changing the log duration from 30 days to No log and back again to 30 days.
Unfortunately it has made matters worse. Now, it doesn't even store any of it (missed, incoming, outgoing calls). It's so unstable now. Sometimes if I switch from one tab (missing call to incoming) it just hangs. Only way to come out is using menu key and Exit. Other times I can see displaying 'Retrieving data' and hangs. Even sometimes the numbers are displayed in 'Received calls', and I tab to 'Missing calls' and back to 'Received calls' the numbers are gone again. I've tried the soft reset many times now but no luck.
As I've not seen others having this problem I suspect I may have a defective N97.
My firmware is Vodafone UK v10.0.012.
