Bt do something or i Switch providers FOR GOOD

Hello, I have been with bt for well over a year now, and the connection has been bearable... 2mb upload at the best of times but i deal with it, aslong as i can watch youtube videos with out them buffering i am happy ... But for the past few days i have been getting connection speeds like http://speedtest.net/result/1599783268.png although it has gotten slightly better increasing to 0.13 mb/s But This is totally unaccpetable. Even loading webpages, like facebook and twitter is a pain, Watching youtube videos is almost out of the question.
There are people with speed of 5 Mb/s 5 houses away from me, and they are also with bt, and someone else less than 150 meters away from my house with upwards of 7 mb/s.
And before you ask i have unlimited internet.
So bt, What are you going to do about it?

Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

Source of switch advice for good roaming?

The following quote appears many times in the docs, starting back about 5 years ago. I know that the switches that are being dissed are end-of-life.

My question is what specific characteristics make a switch good or bad for roaming? This might be useful, for example, in putting together an RFQ document. An RFQ for switches. RFQs are based on specifications. What is the specification and how do you state it? There is something wrong, deficient or defective about the old switches? What is that? What did the old switches do wrong that made them "not good." Cisco never seemed to give the basis of their recommendation that I quoted. My question is whether anyone knows what, specifically, they were talking about.
I am the first to admit that this question is out of the mold of what is normally posted here. I don't want advice on how to make something work. I want advice on why Cisco said what they said.

Can i switch providers if I am staying in another country?

I'm going to be in Austrlia for 4 months. Anyone know if can switch providers for my iphone while I'm there? I'm certainly not going to pay international rates for that long.

Doubtful with your iPhone, but I would contact at&t or Apple to find out if they would agree to unlocking your iPhone for the 4 months while you are there. Since you won't be canceling your contract with at&t and you will be returning, they may agree to do this on a short term basis with your iPhone being re-carrier locked with at&t when you return.
I don't think this is possible, but there is only one way to find out, and the worse thing they can say is no. If so, you can purchase an inexpensive unlocked phone when you arrive there, and get a pre-paid SIM card from a local provider. You can use your iPhone to connect to the internet via an available wi-fi network while there.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Beware!! Trying to switch providers when using BT ...

I have been using BT Infinity for over 12 months and am currently on a rolling contract.
I decided to switch providers as BT is way too expensive for me these days.
I have now spent 5 weeks, had almost 20 emails from BT claiming to have "resolved the issue" and spent hours on the phone to both BT and O2, trying to get a contract with another provider....all to no avail. It seems that once you are an Infinity customer it's extremely difficult (if not impossible) to switch to a new provider.
I have had more than one tag removed from my BT line and also had an issue with the router (according to BT) and O2 are saying that it's probably because I'm on fibre optic broadband.
Does Infinity mean that you're stuck with BT for life?
Has anyone got any idea as to what else I can do please?

I've not heard of anyone having difficulties migrating but maybe that's just because it's still so rare.
Maybe it's rarity is the problem for BT.
PlusNet have an FTTC service on their website so maybe a switch to that would be less painful? Although when I did a service availability check with them they said I could get ADSL but I"m on the FTTP trial in MK with BT & the bloke over the road is on it with PlusNet so I thought they would"ve known what was available here, perhaps the trial info is not in their checker.

I have read on here that a PRAM reset can cure this problem:
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.

Difference between Data Providers for Oracle

There are 3 .NET Data Providers for access an Oracle Database:
1) ODP.NET, who uses Oracle API to access an Oracle Database.
2) Microsoft .NET Data Provider for Oracle, who comes in the Assemblie System.Data.OracleClient
3) Microsoft .NET Data Provider for OLE DB.
My questions are:
1) There is another Data Provider to access an Oracle DB ?
2) Which is better, for example to handle LOB fields ?
3) Which is better in performance ?
4) ODP.NET uses some Oracle API to handle a DB, and the others ?
5) What is the requirement (Oracle Client, OS) of each of them ?

I would recommend using ODP.NET. Overall, I've seen better performance from it than other Oracle providers. It requires the 9.2 client and any OS that the 9.2 client supports.
With respect to LOBs, the first ODP.NET version was consistently faster retrieving LOBs than other Oracle providers. The latest version of ODP.NET (and the upcoming version) have made some substantial improvements in LOB performance on top of that.

This code is for a dynamic tet with the var 'hint' (No ' ' )
But in as3 there is no var and I am having trouble converting it to AS3 coding, can someone show me the correct conversion of the code to make it work with AS3. I will make the instance name 'hint'.

In addition to what other guys said, if you still want to use switch it should be:
switch (Math.round(Math.random() * 20)) - this will cover all the possible integers.
Nevertheless, I believe using switch in this case is not as efficient and scalable as using, say, array.
1. array index access is faster than switch.
2. if you need to make additions, you will need to make additions in switch while with array you just need to add/subtract member
3. if you will need to switch to a more dynamic model (say, getting hints from xml) - it will not be possible with switch
4. you may need a greater degree of randmization (Math.random is not as random as one may think) in which case resorting/reordering array is much simpler and faster.
So, I suggest you switch to the following code:

Switch support for NAC CCA for 6500 series switch

per the 4.0 document "switch support for Cisco NAC" there is a note that says
Catalyst 6000/6500 on IOS do not support mac-notification
Does this mean you cannot deploy layer 2 OOB mode, as snmp notification to the CAM will not happen with the 6k platform?

I have 2 questions concerning method calls in switch and for statements. Consider these two chunks of code:
1)
     switch (foo.getIntegerValue()){
          case 1:
          case 2:
     }My question is, is getIntegerValue() being called for every case statement (since it has to compare with each case) or is the method called only once?
2)
for (Foo bla : xyz.compileFoos()) {
}Is compileFoos called once or on every iteration?
I assume it gets called only once but I would like to be sure. The reason I ask is of course to avoid multiple method calls.
