Bt Homehub won't let me access an IP Camera outsid...

Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a guru or detective to help work this one out for me. I'm trying to set up a friends IP Camera (they have a new puppy and it's as cute as can be!). Anyway I've done similar on my own and other networks and it's been pretty simple. After four hours of attempting with a BT home hub though I was ready to throw it out the window.
Setup description
Homehub was running Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.57.1.3 (Type A)
The IP Camera was sitting at a static IP of 192.168.1.239 (DHCP is enabled on the router, but this was not using it)
The IP Camera to my understanding was wireless connecting, and used the port 81.
It worked perfectly in the internal network
What I did
At first I tried setting up without a dynamicDNS (just to see if it would work manually, but no dice), so I'll go from the point that I setup a dynamicDNS which the hub connected to fine it was a no-ip one, so h*******.no-ip.org (obviously masked the name).
From my understanding this should have lead to being able to see the homehub setup from this domain? However nothing. Anyway I progressed. I setup a 'user-defined game or application', TCP port range 8080 translate to 81. Then in the supported games & application screen I assigned to 192.168.1.239
So surely h*******.no-ip.org:8080 should now lead to the ip camera? Nothing. Port's closed.
I even tried putting the camera in a DMZ to see if I could access anything - no luck. It does have its own dynamicDNS settings but it doesn't seem to support many setups.
What am I missing?

Ah yeah that thread is a bit of a warning sign as to why I can't get the simplist thing to work...

This is what i did to get it working for me so i followed this in the HH3 go to Advanced Settings -> Home Network -> Devices', when i got to the devices page it will show you all the devices that have connected or are connected to your HH3. i selected my pc name (my Pc is named DELL )i double clicked on DELL and it takes you to another page u will see deivce infomation near the top under that it will say "home network name" where it said the name of my PC and i just renamed it to the dyndns server i wanted IE: 'ABC.dyndns.com' you dont need the HTTPS bit just the name of the dyndns server you want it to look at.
I saved it logged out and it worked.
Will see if that works. I'll also see if they have an alternative router.
Also thanks for the advice on the settings. It was on port 81, but after getting no where I followed some tutorials on this site to make sure I wasn't doing anything too stupid and they suggested port 8080 so I gave it a go. I don't do BT normally so this might be stupid question but isn't 192.168.1.50 normally part of the DHCP range or does BT use higher up the range?

So, you have two versions of iphoto? One from the old machine and one from the new?
If so, forget about opening with the older version of iPhoto.
For the newer version:
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Router won't let me access website

Hi, i have a Lynksys wireless router model number WRT54HG and im haveing this problem where it won't let me access this website tera.enmasse.com or the game they host "Tera: Rising" throught its launcher. I've bypassed the router and connected stright to the modem and the website loads. I've tried to troubleshoot the problem by restarting the router, turning it on and off, i've even upgraded its firmwere but nothing works and i've come here to see if anyone can help me. One more thing, for some reason i have access to the tera support page support.enmasse.com but nothing else.

You can ask for the port numbers that you can trigger on the router from the website’s administrator. With the port or ports being triggered, the router will send a request to access the server for the game Tera: Rising. Refer to the links below on how to enable port triggering on the router once you obtained the port numbers. Also, disable the Filter Anonymous Internet Requests on the router by un-checking the box which you can find under the Security of tab of the router’s user interface.

Turn OFF the restriction to allow changes to accounts you've set in Settings > General > Restrictions.

I have several Outlook accounts and want to switch between them but Firefox defaults to the main one and won't let me access the others.

Outlook now makes me sign out and sign back in to each of my email accounts. When I try to sign back in, it defaults to the main account and won't let me type in the other email addresses. This only happens in Firefox, both Google and IE leave the email address blank and let me type in the one I want to access. Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.

Facebook won't load properly. Takes forever and then I get a script page with log-in and then that takes forever and gives me further script that won't let me access anything. Other sites load and work OK!

Started after last auto update several days ago. A few other sites are slow to load while many are good but Facebook just won't present it's usual mix of pre-programmed scripts and links but comes up eventually as part HTML script with a log-in box and when you log-in it then takes forever again and just gives HTML type script for "Friends" "messages" etc. but if you click these it goes nowhere!
Also it won't let me clear history at all despite many tries. I removed and reloaded the program last night but no positive effect.

I still haven't resolved this problem. Here is some more information...
youtube is the only website that has started working, but it sometimes stops working again.
There are many other sites that don't work, cnn.com, washingtonpost.com (sometimes), and a lot of others.
I have contacted our internet service provider and they said that they had nothing to do with the problem.
Some websites will not work at all. Safari tells me that it can't find the server. Some that do this are ups.com, computerworld.com, and others.
I think that the problem is that, for some reason, our mac computers can't access certain servers where we are. (We are at a small ski resort (on the mountain) in Canada.) I think this because when a site doesn't load properly there are several errors and they are all "can't find host" errors from a couple of the same sites (ex. example.something.something).
*Also, I ran a test on speedtest.net on the laptop and one of our iMacs and the results were way faster than anything actually loads/downloads or than the activity monitor shows, even when checking the activity monitor at the same time as running the test.

When updating or restoring some iPods via a usb connection, it needs to be plugged into power via the charger to complete the process, and this is why you see that icon displayed. It's also why older iPods that required this step were supplied with a power adaptor as standard.
You may be able to complete the process via a car charger, or via a powered firewire port on the computer (with the required 6 pin cable of course) if you have access to either of those. Or maybe visit an Apple store if one is nearby.

How do I change my old apple ID to the new one/won't let me access

I recently changed my apple ID. Everything I turn on my phone, it asks me to login into my apple ID but the old one keeps popping up instead of the new one. When I put in my passcode, it says that the ID or password is wrong...which is expected because my old apple ID still comes up...and it won't let me do anything on my iphone. I can't reset it, delete my account, or anything because the old apple ID still comes up. How can I change this. I have the iphone 4s by the way and it is updated to IOS 7, i don't know if that changes anything. Thanks.

Mail Program - popup message won't let me access my emails

I received an email to my gmail account, and when I tried to open in up with my Mail program - I got this message box
" To view this page, you must log in to area “WebMail” on secure97.inmotionhosting.com:2096."
It won't let me view any other email. I can't do ANYTHING with my mail program.

Well, somehow, when I tried to re-open my mail, I clicked the other folders in the left-pane (ie. junk, sent, etc) and the message popup went away.
So I guess this isn't an issue anymore.

Can see pictures, but PSE 3.2 won't let me access them! Tech support could not help!

I have been through customer service, both online and live. I have been through tech support with Adobe, online and live. They have given me unlock codes, none have worked. When I enter them, it kicks me out of the program. They have essentially told me there is no support for 3.2. I can see all the jpg's of my pictures behind the registration box, but it will not let me access them. They do not show up in any document or picture file outside Adobe so I can't access them there. I am very suprised that tech support had no "backdoor" way for me to get into the program and access my pictures. It is extremely disappointing. Does anyone anywhere have any advice on how to get them out? I downloaded 7.0 on trial and it can't transfer them over. Please someone help...tech support essentially told me they are locked in 3.2 and cannot be accessed.

Not sure if the problem is the unlocking code or something else, but I have a few tips that might get you around the problem.
First, Starter Edition does not have any files 'in' it; it is an index of pictures that you've imported into the program. What gets imported is the path to the file, not the file itself. What you see in Starter Edition is a preview thumbnail of the file that was drawn at the time of import, but it's not the actual file.
Some of the other data that you may have added after importing the file IS only accessible from within the program; stuff like captions, tags, and dates, if you've reassigned them. That information is stored in a catalog file, which can be imported into Photoshop Elements. More on that later.
But it's important to understand that the files are not locked into the program in any way, other than the custom data that you added to it with Starter Edition. It also means that if you are needing to get at the files that you used to browse using Starter Edition, you will have to use Windows Explorer, or even Picasa (which works similarly to Starter Edition; as an index of files you have on your computer).
The first strategy I would employ to find files is to look in My Pictures for files. If' you imported files using the Photo Downloader, then it might have copied files into a Digital Camera Photos folder. Browse there and see if they are in there. It is possible that you may have pointed the Photo Downloader to some other location for downloading photos, but that's an advanced feature, so look for the Digital Camera Photos folder. While you're there, look for any other suspicious folders in your My Pictures folder; who knows where files could have gone, but I'd dig through all the folders there, just as I would turn the house upside down to find my car keys. Hopefully, you will be able to successfully locate the files you used to see within Starter Edition.
If you would like to carry forward all the tag info that you've added to the files using Starter Edition, you could import the Starter Edition catalog into Photoshop Elements 8 (there is a risk-free trial that you can download from https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?loc=en%5Fus&product=photoshop%5Felements).
I am trying to help another customer who ran into a snag converting a catalog from version 2 of the program, but if you have 3.0 or 3.2, I can say I fully expect that to convert. Then you would have 30 days to try that out, and see if you would be willing to pay the $99 or so that it costs.
If you don't want to pay, but you do want to save all that tag info that you've added to the file so that some other program could use it, you can select all your files in the Photoshop Elements Organizer, and use the Write Info to Files command to embed tag info to the files.
Note that the Photoshop Elements Organizer works in the same basic way as the Starter Edition program; it indexes the files, but it doesn't copy any files INTO it. Also note that if you attempt to convert a catalog into Photoshop Elements, but the links to the pictures have been previously severed (as a result of moving the file from its original location), then the file will NOT be created in Organizer; it can only work with files that it finds.
Since you mention that the program is crashing, if you still have the installer, you could try reinstalling; sometimes that helps, and if it's not a problem with the unlocking code, a new install might do the trick.
Let me know if something doesn't add up; you should be able to preserve your catalog and import it into Photoshop Elements, even if you can't launch Starter Edition.

ITunes Store won't let me access Wish List

I have been trying all morning to purchase some music, but I keep getting a timed out error from the iTunes store. I am not able to access "Add to Wish List" from the drop down menu, nor will it let me access my own "Wish List" from the drop down under my account name. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes completely but nothing has changed.

You are not the only one who is confused. But, yes, Virginia, there is NO way to use the Wishlist that I can find...at least according to Apple. (PLEASE correct me if I am wrong; I have been working on this for about an hour now...)

According to the directions on the KB article "go to the Quicklinks, and in the Quick Links box on the right click the My Wish List link." Not true; the link is NOT there. However, you can navigate to the Wishlist little white dropdown triangle on the far right, next to your email address (it will appear when you hover the mouse over it). Ok, there's the Wishlist; let's manage it, ok? Nope, can't do that, either; the page has no way to manage it-can't add or delete, ONLY purchase. Hmm, well, let's try the rest of the instructions. Ok, go to a song, right click the 'buy' button, and choose Wishlist from the dropdown menu...oops! That doesn't work either! Buying is, again, the only option.
Someone clearly needs to get fired, since this article was updated only 2 days ago. How do you get THE ENTIRE article wrong? Come on, Apple, you can do better than that.
