BT Hub blocking Roblox game???

Hi
Before we moved to BT our daughter used to play Roblox online on our Imac. We now can't seem to load a game anymore since we moved to BT, I am presuming it is a security setting and not being very technically minded when it comes to this side of computers was wondering if anyone could tell me what settings I need to change and if there in the hub manager part or on the computer itself.

There is nothing in the home hub that would block outgoing connections. If you can browse the Internet on the iMAC, then there is no reason why an online game should not work.
Whe you moved to BT Interenet, all you needed to do was to connect your iMAC to the home hub, nothing else. No other software is needed.

Are there parental controls on the nano? Can you block the 'games'?

Help! I am trying to help a friend to young son just received a nano for Christmas. His friends are using the nano more for games than music (why I don't know...) but my friend wants to block the 'games' on her son's new nano before he figures out that there are games. I know you can keep the 'games' off the main menu but can you block them entirely? Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

No you can't block the games, and to be honest I don't see the point anyway !
What kind of spoilsport parents buy a present and then wants to disable a harmless set of very simple games.
They are using it for games because it is fun and they are enjoying themselves!!!
Maybe there should be a 'No Fun' option on the iPod, and only allow miserable music to be installed.....

How do I block Roblox tab from opening In Safari 7.0.4?

Since last night, http://www.roblox.com has been popping up in a new tab in Safari. I can't find anyway to block it. It's a tab -- not a new window. I can't get in touch with their support unless I sign up for the game. Which I'm not going to do.
It's really annoying. And it won't stop. (I have reset Safari.)
And now since I've been trying to post this, Mackeeper tabs keep opening. What's going on?????

Force Quit Safari.
Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time. Wait.
When Force Quit window appears, select the Safari if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window. Wait.
Safari will quit.
Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.

Java applet window blocking yahoo games

not a devloper, but I really need some help handling this java problem. when I log onto yahoo games, bar that says "java applet window" blocks the bottom portion of the screen. how can I get rid of this?

i found out how to get older verison of java6-7 verison .
Go to search bar type in OpenOffice.org 3.0 and download this.it will take about 30 minute to download this file.after download this go to add & REMOVE PROGRAM to see if download and if did delete java 6u10 version . email me at [email protected] to see it work

Blocking online games / applications

My son is obsessed with that World of Warcraft game. He is pretty crafty when it comes to my keeping him from the internet. The only thing he has yet to do is change the settings on the router from the administration page you log on to.
Is there any way to just block the port that the game uses? Minus just taking out the power supply from his computer or taking the out the battery the motherboard uses to save the BIOS...what else can I do?

No. There is nothing you can do. As long as he has some kind of access to the internet he will be able to circumvent anything you try to prevent block him.

I have email accounts with two different companies. Each provides a spam filter that is available from my browser Safari.
Once company uses Red Condor which is not iPad friendly but at least it gets almost all of the spam.
The other company uses Barracuda and that works fine with my pad.

Can I block challenges from a specific game in Game Center?

I've lately been getting excessive challenges in Game Center from this game called "Always Run!" I get about five a day I'd say. I'm not interested in this game, so is there any way to block this game so that I won't get any more challenges from it? I don't want to block all Game Center challenges...I like getting challenges from the games I actually play. I just want to block everything from this spammy game.

We need to block some users that are constantly sending challenges every 10 minutes, I live multiplayer so please just get rid that stupid challenge "feature" that you (I don't know why) put in GameCenter. Very Frustrating!!

Something On My Mac is Blocking WoW, Second life, and other such games

I can't figure it out. There's some program on my Mac that's blocking the game's ability to go online. I uninstalled Norton (with a full norton remover) and it has no processes running, my Mac firewall allows all connections...I just cant figure it out. Here's my list of processes. When I run VMWare Windows, the things work well, but being games, it works slowly. It has to be something Mac.

Thank you for the reply. I did try change my DNS server didn't seem to help.
When you are on iTunes and click on Help Menu highlight Run Disgnositcs choose Network Connectivity Test do you get any red buttons?

Defense grid game problem

I bought Defense Grid game a couple of days ago and on the first day everything worked fine, when I boot my Imac on the second day and Play the game this happened http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5KeOqY9q0Y all the option keys keep on flashing in sequence and cant play the game because the windows drifts to the left, quite strange. I got onto the game developer support but they say that it has not happened to anyone else…ok im a nice guy but I must be a very privileged person to be the only one in the Mac universe to have this problem
The first thing I was told was…looks like a stuck keyboard key, then a mouse malfunctioning so I changed the apple keyboard and changed the magic mouse to a wired Microsoft mouse and nothing changed, still flashing. I then asked if I should trhow away the plist etc of the game before reinstalling it. I did throw away plist and reinstalled the game TWICE and on the second time it stopped flashing. This morning I open the game and its flashing again. I contacted support again and they suggested it was antivirus software that may be blocking the game but I don’t use antivirus software. They then said it might be my graphics card overheating but this only happened when I reboot my Imac in the morning when its cold so I cant believe it’s the graphics card.
The game support guy was very nice about the situation but I just cant believe I am the only person that has problems with this game. I don’t think Apple will return my money although they should so what do I do about it.

This looks to me like a bug in the game, especially if you're not having weird problems with input in any other programs. If you bought this through the Mac App Store, as it sounds like you did, then try contacting the App Store support at:
