BT HUDSON 1500- NO SOUNDS AT ALL ON ONE HANDSET

Hello, one handset, no longer emits any tone, ring melody, nor key sounds.
Any ideas beyond just going through 'set up again, as I have done this multiple times, as well as putting on a different base.

Have you tried plugging your headset in? How about making a call (say voicemail) and turning speakerphone on? There could be some dust/debris in the headset jack and it may be forcing the device into headset mode. If this is the case, play some music or run an app like Pandora, and insert & remove the headset from the jack until audio returns. This is a fairly proven method of cleaning out the jack.

Hello, I have just purchased a 3 hand set Hudson 1500.
Already it is a disaster.
Having fairly poor hearing, I opted for this equipment because it had an amplified message base.
As I said a disaster; with all volumes set to maximum, both on the base and hand sets, I can only hear tones 1&2, and then only barely, with my ear right up to the handsets, 3&4 are totally inaudible.
As a result of this, I have missed every incoming call over the couple of days I have had it installed. Most left no message on the answerphone, so I did not even hear that respond. One however did go to answerphone, but as I did not hear the call tone, only the answer phone working, by the time I got to it, the person had rung off.
I accept that my hearing is not the greatest, but the NTL triple set I have changed out, was pefectly audible to me, so it is a problem with the hudson.
Is there any way, short of clearing all my programming and returning the phones, that I can resolve this problem?

Hello, I must rather sheepishly climb down from my high horse.
I have found that there were more than four ring tones, pity it was not more obvious though. Also as there were some that were much louder--The problem is now solved.
However, it is worth mentioning that there are needlessly laborious methods for adding phonebook entries to all hand sets, and why the **bleep** do missed calls show on every handset and have to be laboriousl removed from each in turn. That is some poor programming.

Turn off Find My iPhone in iCloud on the iDevice.
Log out of iMessage, Facetime, remove Apple ID from iTunes & App Store.
Use Settings > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
Then set it up as a new iPhone with your own Apple ID.

I've upgraded to OS 10.8.2 and my Bowers and Wilkins MM-1 Speakers were working fine until today, and now they won't play any sound at all, even though iTunes shows the audio is playing. I've tried both the headphone jack and the USB port. Please help!

Thanks. I haven't mixed down the audio or checked the number of tracks in Prefs. Good points.
As far as a mixdown goes, I'll definitely give it a try, though I wonder whether or not the tracks will be recognized during mix down recording - given that you can't hear either of those segments in playback. Just have to try.
Re the preferred number of allowed tracks - I'll go check as soon as I send this off, but I'm not sure that applies in this case, since the two Channels containing the segments that are pinked out are not in additional tracks. I should have mentioned that other audio clips and segments on the same Channels in the SAME tracks ARE heard in playback. As are two additional track in the 2nd Sequence. It's only when the two sequences are joined that the pink tinted segments can't be heard. Within the sequence the same audio cuts playback as they should. Thanks again &

It will play when connected to the computer...but that makes it hard to take it on a walk with me I thought it might be a synching problem so tried that--still doesn't work. How do I fix this problem with out restoring it to the factory setting? I do not want to lose all my music content as some of it I cannot replace easily. Please help with suggestions and advice. All-In-One IdeaCentre C440, high pitch sound

I have a problem with my Desktop PC All-In-One Lenovo IdeaCentre C440, machine type: 10104, configuration number: 57322047. I bought this computer last week ago and from the beginning is present a high pitch sound. The high pitch sound is more evident when I don't use the PC (on Windows desktop for example or when I navigate on the Internet). I noticed that this high pitch sound disappear if I play a game (I set the sound off to confirm this) and come back in desktop Windows mode. I noticed also that this high pitch sound is lower or disappear if I copy (transfer) large files on my home network from one computer to another.
Is a solution for this situation ? Thank you.

Yesterday I've been with my computer to a service nearby. The guy from there told me that he doesn't have what to do and that probably in time the sound will just become worst and worst.

Everytime I install iTunes 10.7 and then reboot, I have no sound at all.

Scenario:
I install iTunes 10.7 and everything works great. Until I shut down my computer. When I turn my computer back on, there is no sound at all. No startup chimes from Windows 7, none of my music or video files have any sound. If I open iTunes and start playing a song, there is no sound, but also the song doesn't even start playing.
When this happened the first time, I tried everything I could to try and get sound back. I installed the newest versions of my sound drivers and also for the chipsets on the mb, and even the video card. Everything is up to date already. I tried unplugging all of the cables and plugging them back in. Nothing worked.
So I did a system restore to the only restore point available which was a couple of days before. Voila. Success. Everything is hunky dory. Oops, no iTunes. I'll just go reinstall that. Alrighty, now we're cooking. Time for bed, I'll just shut this down. Next morning...no sound again. I have repeated this process 4 times all weekend, trying to work out why it is happening and on the most recent one, the only thing I reinstalled was iTunes. And then I immediately rebooted. No sound. It would seem that iTunes is the culprit.
On the most recent attempt I made, there is strangely no restore point available that is not corrupted. I no longer have a process with which to reverse it.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can try in order to resolve this more permenantly?

No sound at all after 10.4.6 update

Hi, does the 10.4.6 update have a firmware update included ?, because after restart etc no sound at all eminates from my powerbooks built in sound.
No start up chime, system sounds .... nothing [only thing i can see in "sound on the system prefs is a greyed out "headphones" for output device]?
if so anyway of "going back" to a prior "firmware ? or has anybody else had this issue and resolved it ?

Audio works just fine in 10.4.6. Both of you have some contributing factor that is causing it to fail.

No sound at ALL upgrading to iTunes 7

after upgrading to iTunes 7, I can't play ANY of my songs AT ALL in my library, they hang entirely, even the ones I purchased from the iTunes store.
am having the same problem inside the iTunes store trying to listen to 30 second clips of songs, either I get no sound at all, or the song freezes on the first second of playback and makes an annoying "da da da da da da da" sound..
I tried the quicktime fix, that didn't work,

well part of it anyway.
I had to set Quicktime audio settings to 24 bit (instead of 16) and then in iTunes, turn the volume slider all the way to the right..
and that fixed the problem so far (shrugs) still a little distorted, but sounds alot better now. iTunes wouldn't play at all in 8 or 16bit modes, I had to turn it up to 24bit, and then playback was all distorted and hissy so I upped the slider all the way and that fixed it.
nothing else affected it, tried disabling sound enhancer that had no effect whatsoever on it, enabling it didn't even make it sound any better, so I just left it off. weird. but I agree iTunes 7 needs some work.

Hmmm, I don't have an X-Fi, but to answer your question the first thing someone needs to know is how you have your speakers connected. If, for example, you're running throgh a receiver you need to separately output each channel (using 3.5mm mini plug to RCA cables/converters you would buy at Radio Shack) to the external decoder of your receiver. Of course, in that insance, you would output the DD source stream from the optical out of the card through the optical in of the receiver; stereo playback would be from a 2. signal. I run both configs on mine. Now, if you're running computer speakers already plugged into the correct outputs of the sound card that's a different question, and it's one I can only relate from my experience with the Audigy 2 software.

Brightness & light colored font-bad sound on HP Pavilion All-in-One, 20-b013w

I help correct learners of English, and when I record the sound on playback is horrible. I purchased a new mic, but the problem still exist. Seems like a lot of noise in the background. A big problem I have with the monitor is the brightness and light color of font. It is so light that it is very hard to read. For instance on this page, the blue lettering is hard to read with the screen being so white. I have a HP Pavilion 20 All-in-One, 20-b013w, and have the Windows 8 on the computer.
How can I improve the sound when I record using a microphone, and is it possible to darken the font and maybe change the contrast? I am not a computer expert by any means, so if someone can help me I would be very thankful.

Hello leatherneckco. I understand you're having some trouble with your microphone and your screen's brightness.
What program are you using to record your audio? Have you tried recording in another application?
A good first step is to uninstall and reinstall the drivers. Try the following.
From either the Metro or Desktop view press the Windows+X key combination. This opens the Context Menu.
Select Device Manager.
Expand the "Sound, video, and game controllers" section.
Right click on your sound card and select Uninstall.
After the uninstallation has completed you should reboot your notebook.
Once Windows loads it will reinstall the device.
Verify whether the issue persists and post the result.
You can adjust your brightness by following these directions or using the monitor's physical buttons. This document can show you how to change the settings related to your computer's fonts.

Why did my video record muted - did not pick up any sound at all?

There was no sound what so ever. I had just restored and synced my iPhone - no back up cause some how during the restore process the only back up (***) was over written. Have no clue with this day and age of the size of hard drives why there can be only one back up file/folder - at least that is what my iTunes stated - one backup even though before the change to the phone I synced and in the top section of iTunes it lead me to believe that it was doing a backup cause that is what it said - backing up/syncing.
Anyway, so after the concert the next day, I made some changes and turned off some sounds like the clicking sound. Then went to view my video from last night and great videos, but no sound, not even muffled sound on ten different videos. I then did a test on my camera and there was sound. Download the videos to my computer just to make sure it was not something stupid and QuickTime video had the audio section of the video graded out like there was no sound at all - which is why I am posting this. I had read that you need certain software/app to record video without sound, but mine did - why???

No, no one has been able to tell my why this even happend. It has not happened again though. But the fact I missed all the sound at the concert was a bit hard to deal with.

Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue of having no audio output from your iPad's speakers. Please note that even though the steps state it's for iPhone, the same applies to your iPad.
Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
