BT Infinity availability date

The BT Infinity postcode check shows that my exchange will be enabled for BT Infinity on 30th March 2011, but SamKnows shows that the date is 30th June 2011.  Does anyone know which is more reliable?

Neither of them are that reliable to be honest...
The one directly from BT Openreach is however the best place to look.
Have a look at this and search for your exchange:- http://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/home/products/super-fastfibreaccess/downloads/fttc_pot_exchs.pdf
Hope this helps

  • Constantly shifting Infinity availability dates

Is it possible to find out why the date for availability of Infinity continues to shift for my area?
I moved out of London to the Kent Coast in November 2012. I was with Virgin Media in London enjoying fibre optic speeds. I looked into the best options for my new area and a couple of days before moving spoke to BT and, having been told I was 'in luck' because on checking my new full postcode Infinity would be with me around March 2013, I decided to sign up with BT.
It then emerged it would be three weeks after I moved that BT could install a line. This was a bit inconvenient as I work mainly from home - so three weeks without broadband connection would effect how I could work. "Grin and bear it" I thought as within a few months I'd be able to upgrade to speeds equal or more than I was used to in London. Also the immediate use of a BT hotspots would hopefully be a useful substitute for these few weeks - sadly, a very poor signal in my area made this option redundant for most of the time.
March 2013 didn't bring the promised Infinity - It arrived in the general CT5 area, but not as I had been given to believe to my specific full postcode address. A check online for availability then showed the date had moved to October or November (can't remember exactly) 2013. As this new date came and went the online check suddenly altered to March 2014. This date has now also passed and surprise, the new proposed date is now between July and December 2014. If it is the latter it will mean that it will be over two years since moving to the area and 21 months later than the date I was told it would be available to my address.
Is it possible to find out why the proposed availability date has now changed again? Just saying "factors outside our control" on the web page doesn't help when I've effectively been 'sold' an option in November 2012 that has yet to deliver

I absolutely feel your pain on this one, due to a constant lack of reliable information about when Infinity will become available in my area. I live in an Infinity-enabled exchange in the Medway area of Kent, but due to the shotgun approach as to which cabinets have been enabled by Openreach, my cabinet is one of the "unlucky ones" who have ended up not being upgraded.
My sources of information about Infinity in the Kent area have been :
    - BT Wholesale ADSL checker. This is supposedly the best resource, but I've have two years of rolling dates. This is how I found out my cabinet details at least.
    - The Kent/Medway Broadband Checker (http://webapps.kent.gov.uk/KCC.BroadbandChecker.Web.Sites.Public/Pages/Default.aspx). This is new-ish, but the checker seems woeful and not at cabinet level.
    - Roadworks.org. This will show if work is being done on your cabinet (which presumably will need to be done for any cabinet to make it suitable for Infinity).
Since Openreach have rolled over the date for the 4th time, I'm taking it up with my local council. Recent news about Infinity information about the rollout has stated that even the government are starting to getting annoyed with Openreach about their lack of information. I believe that Openreach are saying it's commercially sensitive information, but given how much of a monopoly they have, that's pretty rich.
I've personally started investigating why my cabinet hasn't been upgraded, using a FOI request to find out about any reasons planning permission may not have been stopped by the Council. If my Council haven't stopped it, then I can only summise Openreach are simply picking cabinets at random and doing things when they feel like it. It's pretty galling when some cabinets within the exchange have been upgraded and others haven't. Meanwhile, no-one can contact Openreach and BT say it's all down to Openreach and hide behind that.
I hope the links I provide help you, but all roads end with Openreach and their lack of information.

  • Help on Infinity availability date?

    Hi all,
I am just wondering If anyone can help me when Infinity will be available in my area?
    Stansted Exchange, Cabinet 6
It says between Oct 13- Mar 14, I think I've seen the new box installed down the street months ago and just curious as to what's taking so long?
    Thanks

I think the long time is the scheduling of work.  if only the installation and the addition of power was done at the same time rather than 2 separate occasions. the digging of more access holes including digging up the newly filled in holes for the cabinet installation could be avoided if power added at cabinet installation
But then the power co. has to be available and willing to do it at the same time as the cab install contractor.
Not an easy thing to arrange.
There are also cabs that have been left due to the power co's.
That is the point I am making the scheduling of work could be better - better digging 1 hole rather than digging 2 especially when they are digging up the first hole

  • BT Infinity availability and enablement

    Hello
we are buying a new built house and we are unable to find out any information about infinity availability. The exchange (Rothley) is accepting orders!!!! and BT customer service cannot help.
We don't have a telephone number yet so we are checking with the postcode.
The next road is served by another cabinet and gets FTTC but slow.
    Please help.
    Very frustrated now!!!!

    Hi ykere,
Have you tried the address of the new build on the BT Wholesale Broadband Availability checker here: http://dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.AddressOutput
If there is no mention of WBC FTTC when checking the BT Wholesale Database then unfortunately it looks like your cabinet isn't currently in Openreach's fibre broadband rollout plan.
As it is a new build then probably the best way is to ask other residence on your street. This will also give you an idea if it is available to your street.
Click here to see what your looking for in the BT Wholesale Database
The Openreach Superfast Fibre Broadband rollout is still in it's early stages and the plans are always being added too.
So your cabinet may be upgraded in the future, though there is no public time scale on when that will be.
Please bear in mind that in some cases it may not be possible to provide FTTC broadband in areas due to:
    • Your line may be too far from the local street cabinet to have a stable FTTC broadband service such as BT Infinity service.
    • Your local street cabinet may not be suitable for fibre optic cables.
    • We haven't yet got the council's planning permission to do the necessary work at your local street cabinet.
    • Your home may not be suitable for fibre optic cables.
    • Your landlord may not have agreed to the fibre infrastructure being provided in your building (for example if you live in a flat).
    • There isn't a adequate power supply
    • Health and safety issues
    • No ducting or inadequate ducting
    • It may not be financially viable for Openreach to upgrade your pcp (cabinet) with a DSLAM (FTTC) cabinet.
    plus lots more.
The build of the fibre broadband infrastructure in the area isn't always easy and can be very complex.
Also look out for these FTTC Cabinets on/near your street/area. If you see one near your old cabinet (pcp) then you maybe in luck for Fibre broadband.
Unfortunately BT Retail (a communication provider/ISP who operates this forum) does not have much say as to when and if you will be able to get FTTC or FTTP/H based broadband such as BT Infinity.
You can register your interest for Fibre Broadband such as BT Infinity by going to http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/expression-gen.aspx
You can keep checking the BT Wholesale Database and BT Infinity website for the most upto date information as these are updated regularly.
The openreach When and Where website is: http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when/
**The Fibre-Optic Broadband Rollout is being managed and done by Openreach for all communication providers/ISPs.
BT Retail (a communication provider/ISP) has nothing to do with the rollout of fibre broadband.**
    Hope that helps,
    Cheers

  • BT Infinity Availability

    Hi All,
So im here for some advice. The other day i rang BT as the broadband im with at the moment is only 11mb but get about 6mb. Have many users and gaming etc.
So the problem i face is that everyone else on my road has BT infinity available to them. The guy i spoke to was very nice and advised me that i will get it at some time. But theres nothing on the system to say when as its contracted out by BT Openreach.
He said that we could connect to a different cabinet than the neighbours.
So with that i went online and checked out the people across the road and they can as well.
Red - Can get BT Infinity
Blue - 5 Houses (one of which is mine) Cant
Black - The road that we are on
All of last year Bt were working around the whole estate.
2 Years ago we tried to get Virgin Fibre Optic, but their contractors "apparantly" missed installing for the 5 houses and they refused to install it as it would be to costly.
I just would like to know from someone who works for BT or someone at least that i will get Fibre optic.

    Hi, visit this link here.
Enter your phone number and proceed.
At the top you will see your Exchange, Phone Number and Cabinet number. If it doesn't mention cabinet that means you are connected directly to the exchange. Below you will have a grid area of the services that are currently available to you are will be in the future at some point. You are looking for WBC FTTC, it will give you the estimated speeds to your home from the cabinet. It will also give you a date which should be the latest you will get it.
If it doesn't have WBC FTTC that means Openreach currently have no plans to upgrade your cabinet.

  • For Dynamic Credit Check replacing Material Availability date with Delivery date

    Hi All,
Our client has this requirement, where they want to change the standard SAP functionality which Checks whether a schedule line item in a sales order is with in horizon or not based on "Material Availability Date" VBEP-MBDAT. They want in place of this Delivery date of schedule line should be used i.e. VBEP-EDATU. I did some research and found out that this could be done technically by updating the BADI "BADI_SD_CM".
Now we are stuck as to what needs to be changed? has anybody worked on this kind of requirement before?
    Please share your past experience.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Prateek Maheshwari.

As you know, VBELN-Currency-POSNR-ETENR-MBDAT is standard exposure key of sales order but my ex-colleague changed it into VBELN-Currency-POSNR to compress exposure data for certain CCA.
In this case, of course, that CCA should meet some biz requirements(User-exit. etc) like no partial delivery. etc.... for integrity of exposures..
This case is different because you want to change value of key....and it's Date!!!!
Anyway I think it's techinically possible but it's very risky in live system because existing exposures would be not removed even if delivered, changed, deleted or blocked.
So you have to delete all exposures and rebuild after program changed.
I'm writing it's possible now but I refused when my customer want to change it because I don't have any way to rebuild huge data in live system.

  • SNP planned order availability date difference between APO and ECC

    Hi,
I have observed that SNP Planned order availability date is not matching between APO and ECC. Details are as follows.
I ran SNP Optimizer with bucket offset of 0.5. After publishing the optimizer created planned orders to ECC, only start date is matching.
    Example:
I am using PDS as a source of supply.
Fixed production activity in SNP PDS is 1 day.
    GR processing time: 3 day
After running optimizer planned order is created with dates explained below.
    Start date/time: 09.05.2011 00:00:00
    End date/time: 12.05.2011 23:59:59
    Availability date: 16.05.2011 00:00:00
Because of bucket offset defined as 0.5 optimizer planned order availability is start of next monday.
After publishing this planned order to ECC dates on the planned order is as follows.
    Start date: 09.05.2011
    End date: 09.05.2011
    Availability date: 12.05.2011
I have not maintained any scheduling margin key in ECC. Also if I dont define the GR processing time, planned dates between APO and ECC always match. Can anyone explain the impact of GR time on the availability date.

    Venkat

    Hi Venkadesh,
What's "state stamp"? Do you mean different time zone?
note : 645597  mentioned by Nandha is very helpful:
In standard, CCR will use duedate - "the available date of the output product".
Nandha's words "In SAP APO, if the receipt date of the primary product deviates from the
end date of the last activity of the order, the receipt date
always identifies this as inconsistent. You cannot rectify
inconsistencies of this type by using CCR."
I guess in your PDS or PPM, the output product is not assigned to the End of the last activity. Someone changed it?
Please CIF the PDS or PPM again.
If you really want to apply a note, please use note 815509 as you're using planned order,
and system will use order end  date in CCR instead.
GR time is always considered. BR/Tiemin

  • When creating a report, "Available Data Sources" is missing options.

    Background:
I am running Crystal Reports XI Developer edition.
Here are the steps to expose the problem:
    1.  Create a new standard report (Ctrl-N).
    2.  Available data sources - expand "Create New Connection"
    3.  I expect to find "Field Definitions Only" and "File System Data" in the displayed list (among many others).  However, I only see "Database Files", "OLE DB (ADO)", and "More Data Sources".
    4.  "Field Definitions Only" formerly appeared under "More Data Sources" but has disappeared.
Question:  How do I get all the connection types to appear?
I have a secondary computer running Crystal Reports where the entire list is populated.  The problem appears only on my primary Crystal Reports development machine.
    .... Warren

    Vitaly,
    1.  Yes, I checked "More Data Sources" - not there.
    2.  I tried adding the Field Definitions using Control Panel Add/Remove - no help.
I tried removing the "Field Definitions" and then adding them again - no help.
    3.  Another machine does have the same version of CR.  It is running Vista.  Problem machine is running XP.
    4.  Clicked the "Reinstall" button in the Control Panel Add/Remove - this fixed the problem.  I did not need to uninstall the program.
Both machines now exhibit the same list of connection types (with one small exception).  Thank-you for your hellp.

  • How to change availability date of a batch when doing GR for order in MIGO

    Hi all,
We are not able to find any exit or BADI to change availability date of batch when doing goods receipt for a order.

  • Material Availability date differs in R/3 & APO

    Hi,
We are facing Issue with Material Avaialbility date for Planner order/Manufacturing Order in R/3 and APO.
We are using a Master Recipe for PDS Creation in APO which consists on 9-10 different operations, out of which only inbetween operation 4-5-6 is scheduled in APO.
So in APO Other Operations are not availble in PDS and hence not considered for scheduling as required. Also GR Processing Time is maintained on Product Master for which infinite Capcity Handling resource in created in APO.
When we schedule Operations in APO, the Scheduled dates for Operation 4-5-6 is sent back to R/3 and for other Operations based on relationship maintained takes addistional 1-2 Days.
In R/3 Availability Date for Planner Order/Manufacturing Order is calculating by adding a GR time after Operation 10 end time, while in APO as ony operation 4-5-6 is available a GR time is added after Operation 6, which is resulting in Differnet availability date for Order in R/3 and APO.
Kindly suggets a way to same date in R/3 and APO, if anyone has faced same Issue.
    Thanks for your Help !!!

    Hi Senthil,
I completly understand, that APO Material Availability date is GR end Date while in R/3 its a Process Order end date.
    But Problem is not that.
Problem is not all operation of Process order are in APO, so assume u have 5 operations in Process order out of which only first 3 are relevant for schedulilng in APO. So APO schedules these 3 Operation and adds the GR time to Show the avaiablity date.
While in R/3 GR Time is added after end of Operation 5 which is right, so GR end date in R/3 and APO dont match.
Let me know if you think some more on this...!!!
    Thanks and Appreciated !!!

  • Material availability date issue

    Hello,
I am trying to create a sales order with 100 Kg of one material listed. Unrestricted stock for this material is 780 Kg in the system. When I save the order however, material availability date shows as one day forward from the current date, i.e. tomorrow's date shows if order was made today. This affects the posting of the dispatch advise (Outbound delivery). It does not let me post the DA until I change the selection date in VL01N to a date that is the same or later than the material availability date. This is fine. What I want to know is why is the material availability date showing as one day after the order date on the sales document? If stock is on hand and we want to dispatch the same day as the order it can't be done at present. Please help.
    Regards

    Dear Khan
Go to OVLZ, select your shipping point and check in "Pick/pack time wrkdys" whether any value is maintained.  If so, remove that and now retry.  Bcoz, for example, if 2 is given in this field, even if stock is available on the same day of order creation, system will allow to do PGI only after 2 days from the date of order created
    thanks

  • Material Availability Date and Corresponding Basic finish date

    Hi experts,
I have one requirement from my Business for updating Basic Finish date based on the Material availability date
Requirement goes like this, When we enter a Component of 100 qty  in the service order , if stock is not available we get system status as MSPT and IWBK we can see how much quantity confirmed
But i dont see any table or report which shows when this material can be available for further delivery. Based on the next available material date i have to change the basic finish date in the service Order
Please let me know if you any report available for this or any standard approach. I want to know if any exist to leverage this functionality and logic how to get this accomplished
    thanks
    sarvan

    Sarvan,
You would need to perform this check when saving the work order as there could be multiple components all with differing ATP dates.
But a development could do something like:
Read all active/open components/materials on the work order
Determine the availability data for each component/material
Determine the latest of the above dates
Apply this date to the order Basic Finish Date
You would need to ensure your scheduling parameters do not set this date back to its original value (OPU7).
You could achiev the above through user-exit IWO10009 (SMOD) or BADI WORKORDER_UPDATE (SE18).

  • What table in the OperationsManagerDW table holds the availability data of an application? Its 4th day of my search in SCOM and i really don't seem to find it at all.

BTW i am using SCOM 2012 R2. If you have the query to extract the availability data from the database, it would be of a great help. Also, i meant database when i said OperationsManagerDW table.

    Hi,
You need following Parameters for example:
    @ManagedEntityMonitorRowId
    @StartDate=
    '2014-05-01 00:00:00'
    @EndDate= '2014-06-01
    00:00:00'
    @DataAggregation= '1'
    @LevelCount= '1'
    @LanguageCode= 'ENU'
To get the ManagedEntityMonitorRowId you can use following SQL Queries on the DWH (You
also can do it with a Inner Join but i'm not that good in T-SQL)
    # MonitorRowID: With this query you can look after the ID based on the MonitorDefaultName
    SELECT *
    FROM [dbo].[vMonitor]
    WHERE MonitorDefaultName = 'AD_Database_and_Log_DBSpace.Monitor'
    # ManagedEntityRowID: With this query you can look after the ID based on the DisplayName of the Entity
    SELECT *
    FROM [dbo].[vManagedEntity]
    WHERE DisplayName LIKE 'DC1'
    # Now you can query for the right ManagedEntityMonitorRowID (For Example)
    SELECT [ManagedEntityMonitorRowId]
    FROM dbo.vManagedEntityMonitor
    WHERE ManagedEntityRowId = '4753' AND MonitorRowId = '1371'
    I hope this help you.
    Cheers,

  • Creditreport that displays Sales Orders with Material Availability Date as

    Hi
I need input if the following requirement can be met in FSCM credit mgmnt.
Currently In FDK43 there is a total sales figure that represents the Sales that are consuming the Credit Limit assigned to the customer, unfortunately there is no drill down on this number to see which sales orders are responsible for the consumption of credit
Do we have any sales report that displays Sales Orders with Material Availability Date as an output in conjunction with Credit limit .

Not in standard provided. Custom program is required.

  • Material Staging/Availability Date not possible to change

    Hello,
If I create a sales order with a configurable material and I got subitems related to the main material, into the "Procurement" tab I cannot modify manually the field Material Staging/Availability Date (VBEP-MBDAT) for the subitems.
I only can change the date related to main item.
Do you have any suggestions why I cannot change those dates?
    Thanks

    Hello,
I checked it and it is not set ("Do not form delivery groups") ... and it should be ok, isn't it?
if I add manually the same sub item with the same item category, than I can modify the Material Staging/Availability Date ... but this is not what we want do.
