BT infinity - broken again! DON'T buy this RUBBISH...

Well it took 20 days to close the last fault, which turned out to be a "network issue", that fault was closed 12 days ago. Now the BB speed has dropped to nothing again (250Kbs). To be honest I have been monitoring the speed when it was working, and although I am spitting distance of the local exchange, I am still only getting DL speed that are comparative with SKY.
Sent an email this time to complain, lets see if BT respond in 24 hours, but beats waiting for somebody on customer services for one hour, who has barely a grip on English, and has no idea of how to resolve customer problems.
I had SKY before, and for 2 years did not have to reset the modem at anytime, speed was constant.

Are you having problems using wireless? If so there are some basic things you could check to help the HH3 cope with possible neighbours wireless signals... or even local interference from Microwave ovens and Christmas lighs... well not those just yet!!!!!

If your getting the slow speed whilst wired ie connected directly into your HomeHub 3...
Then maybe you have a problem with some of your hardware.
The first thing to ask/make sure is regarding the white Openreach Modem... is it positioned vertically, maybe wall mounted as the cooling vents work more efficiently that way.
Lots of people have had problems when that modem is laying flat especially if the HH3 is positioned on top of the modem. Basically it causes the Modem to overheat and disrupts it's ability to modulate and de-modulate your broadband signals and causing lots of error corrections. These are automatically corrected in micro seconds but nevertheless with so many corrections going on then packets of your data must inevitably get slowed and hence you start getting internet pages not loaded... try again then they load this time as there wasn't so many errors to be corrected thus not slowing things down as much for that data burst.....
Ohhh you get the meaning.... I think you might need another modem, not wanting to jump to conclusion!!!!

This is one instance where you'll curse yourself for not having bought the AppleCare Warranty extension and gotten the board for free.
Anyway, get your model number handy and go look up the parts in www.powerbookmedic.com or www.ifixit.com amongst other places. They've also have videos or photo pictorials on how to do the replacement. Not altogether trivial, be sure to spread the adequate amount of thermal paste on the CPU and GPU, else you'll fry the new board in short order again.

Can you check the Object Security for the Analysis Menu and Export button and see if it is restricted?

I believe that our “Werbung problem” adds an additional second hyperlink to the pop-up window. This second link is activated whenever you trigger a saved hyperlink to a Mail.com site.
I had the same problem and eliminated it by deleting all bookmarks, hyperlinks and automatic links that take firefox to a mail.com address. So I just deleted all bookmarks I had saved for mail.com. I also changed my home page link because it also went to my email at mail.com. I then did a warm boot, opened firefox and re-saved my bookmarks and homepage to the desired addresses. Good luck.

Run Time Errors (Don't show this dialog again...)

We often create some long TestStand (TS 4.0) sequences and run them overnight or weekend.  Occasionally, for one reason or another, we may see the "Run Time Error" messagebox pop up, stopping the test sequence.
If you then select the checkbox in the Run Time Error window "Don't show this dialog again for this execution", the sequence will continue.
Is there a way to set up TestStand to ALWAYS ignore the Run Time Errors and just generate a failure error instead?
     Setup for TestStand as a confuguration?
or
     Setup as a command in our Custom Steps?

Hi Mikef,
One solution would be to use the SequenceFilePostStepRuntimeError callback sequence. Have a look at the example ErrorHandlerExample.seq in the TestStand\Examples\Callbacks\PostStepRuntimeErrorCallback folder.
Obviously you wont what a dialog to appear, but using the callback, you can reset the Step.Result.Error, maybe set the status and record that an error did occur in the Steps ReportText.

"Don't show this again" checkbox in prompt?

All,
So I have a few scripts that are designed to act on the currently open document.
Some of them by nature are pretty destructive to the document because they're designed to do some crazy stuff.
So, when the user runs the script, I'm currently presenting them with a "confirm" dialog with a blurb explaining that they should make sure to save the document before running the script (so they can always return to the previous state).
Anyway, one of my co-workers was complaining about have to see this dialog every time they run the script, as well as some other alerts I use when there are errors.
So, there's basically 3 dialogs the user will see:
1. Confirm (Did you save your stuff, first?)
2. Script Parameters (ScriptUI controls to adjust the various script settings)
3. Success/Error messages
Is there a way to add a "don't show this again" checkbox to the confirm modal dialog so that it would only show the first time the script is run (per session)?
I can probably hide the Success/Error alerts by just adding a checkbox in the ScriptUI dialog, which would obviously set a variable, but in order to keep the confirm prompt from showing the next time they run the script, I would imagine I'd have to store a "cookie" type object on the users local drive? Is that possible?

You don't need a cookie… A plain text file somewhere should do you… If you were to write in the Folder.temp directory it should be flushed at computer restart… ( or so I think not checked that )

No u don't think so but what model phone do you have? Smartphones you can sync calendar events online but not basic phones that I know of

Creating a "Don't show this again" checkbox

Hi all,
I'm working on a mini-site and I have this welcome page at the beginning that allows you to continue to the homepage with a 'continue' button. I'd like to add a checkbox enabling a "don't show this again" option when checked. I have been trying to do it using the checkbox component but I'm not sure exactly how to go about it, only a vague idea. I've converted the checkbox component on the stage into a movieclip, with 2 keyframes in the timeline one labeled 'checked' and the other 'unchecked'. I have also set the movieclip so that it's exported for actionscript in the properties. What is the next step?

At some point, I have clicked "yes" on a box that said "Don't show this message again". It was by deleting tracks from iTunes library.
Now I want "my box" back. How can I fix that?

Every time i open firefox, i get message: "shockwave has stopped responding; fix, ignore, don't show this again," and it's driving me nuts; I must wait and wait

when you say that your disc drive is damaged, do you mean your MacBook Pro’s hard disk drive, or do you mean its SuperDrive (the CD/DVD drive)?
When you’d updated your MacBook Pro to Mavericks, did the installation succeed, and subsequently freeze up? Or did it freeze up during the Mavericks installation?
Which version of OS X was installed on your MacBook Pro before you’d installed Mavericks?
Are you currently able to boot into the Mavericks recovery partition? To see if you can do so, hold down a Command key and the R key while starting up your MacBook Pro.

It seems the iPhone before the update was not officially unlocked from the carrier it is locked to. Which would mean it had been unlocked to use on your carriers sim by jailbreaking(hacking) or by using third party hardware.
