BT Infinity checker states Brentwood as enabled - ...

I'm sure I'm not the only frustrated one in this position.
The online checker states that Brentwood exchange is enabled for infinity (apperantly one of the first in the country).
However, a check against my phone number states that I cant get Infinity. The max I get is ADSL at 1mbit.
I know that all cabinets are not active but I can't get any information as to which cabinet I connect to and when that will be enabled for Infinity.
I can't get any help from the BT customer service dept.
Any help would be appreciated.

sysctl is used to modify kernel parameters. If you are trying to enable/disable/start/stop services, then you'll need to be running systemctl.

  • Difference between infinity checker and actual spe...

    Hi,
A few months back my street became infinity enabled and the speedtester on the infinity page said i can/could get 53.3/15.7 so i signed up. I understand that i would not probably not receive the full amount the infinity checker quoted but i was slightly dissapointed when my line finally stabilized and i was receiving 43/7, however my previous broadband was only 3.8/0.7 i decided to not chase it.
Now after a month of it being stable at 43/7 it suddenly dropped to 36/7 and after 5 days at this speed i checked it and found the ip profiles of the line set at 36.64/20. I decided to contact BT via online chat and after a 2hr encounter with India there was no fault found on the line and i was told there was nothing they can do. So i guess my question is would you be happy recieving 36/7 when the initial speedcheck (which does not say estimate as far as i can see) was 53/15?

On installation it was a lot lower than the estimate which could indicate a faulty install, or just a bad estimate.
As the speed has now dropped, this could also be the same or different fault.
Keep your eye on it, if it drops to half the installation speed then that to me would indicate a fault.
Is there any noise on the phone?

  • Use previous "Delete from hard disk" checked state?

Is there any way for the program to use the previous "Also delete selected item(s) from the hard disk" checked state in the file deletion confirmation dialog?  It gets tedious to check it every time I want to delete a file and if I forget to do it I will have an extra file sitting on my hard disk not in my catalog.

A quick shortcut that I use is to hit the spacebar (checks/unchecks the "delete from
hard disk" option), then hit the enter key to complete the process.

  • PAY IN FULL check box is not enabled in oracle payables

    Hi,
In Payables -> Invoice -> Invoices screen,
when i'm entering invoices, in Actions Button..1, <strong>PAY IN FULL</strong> check box is not enabled in oracle payables. How to enable that to receive payment.?
    Thanks & Regards

1.As suggested previously Try validating the invoice and complete any Workflow approvals if any.
2.If its not available the function might not be available for your responsibility. You will have to run a batch or go to a resp having access to this function.
    Thanks

  • BT infinity checker says infinity in my area, but ...

    Hi there guys
I've just recently checked if BT infinity was available in my area and what I found out is that according to the BT infinity checker on BT's website, BT infinity is in my area.
However I have not been notified my BT, is the BT checker reliable enough to believe and does that mean BT infinity is in my area or does BT have to phone me up ?

Hi there, the B.T checker is normally reliable enough yes, although it's not unknown for there to be a database issue. Contact sales 0800 800 150, they will be able to tell you there and then whether you can receive Infinity or not.

  • Help regd to CHECK statement

    Hi SDN's
I am working on 4.6C version.
I have an internal table ITAB with Sales Group as one of its field.
I have Sales Group SO_VKGRP on the selection screen as select-options no intervals.
Now my problem is if the SO_VKGRP has some entries in the excluding list, then the check statement is failing.
<b>I know i am wrong at some point. Correct me.</b>
    loop at ITAB.
        IF NOT p_spart IS INITIAL.
          SELECT SINGLE * FROM knvv
                          WHERE kunnr EQ itab-cust_acct AND
                                spart EQ p_spart.
          CHECK sy-subrc EQ 0.
        ENDIF.
        IF knvv-spart = 'H1'.
          IF NOT so_vkgrp[] IS INITIAL.
            CHECK knvv-vkgrp in so_vkgrp.
" wil this be correct if i have entries in the

    HI
    CHECK log_exp.
If the statement CHECK is executed outside a loop and log_exp is incorrect, the statement terminates the current process block. You can specify any logical expression for log_exp.
The behavior of the runtime environment after exiting the processing block is described under Exiting Processing Blocks.
SAP recommends to use this procedure with the statement CHECK only inside loops (see CHECK (Loops) ).

  • Is it possible to get menu item checked state?

In a script I need to know the state of a menu items checked state - e.g. the View/Proof Colors menu item.
Is that possible? (and of cause if it is how do I do it?)
    Thanks,
    Jack

The reason I need the state of "Proof Colors" is that I want to turn on/off the visibility of a layer set depending on its state.
In the layer set I would have my printing adjustments layers. This way it is very easy to compare the image with the softproof. When "Proof Colors" is turned off the printing adjustment layer set would also be turned off - displaying the image without any printing corrections.
When "Proof Colors" is turned on the printing adjustment layer set would also be turned on - displaying the softproof with printing corrections applied.

  • On Ebay, it says that my web browser doesn't have JavaScript enabled. I checked and JavaScript is enabled. Is there a known problem with this?? What do I do now?

I am using Windows XP Service Pak 2. This was working until 2 days ago............. it says that my web browser does not have JavaScript enabled when I am on Ebay and try to look at an item. When I look at Options under Tools, it shows a check mark next to Enable JavaScript. How can I fix this? I'm not a computer expert by any means.

  • Reading checked state of checkbox

    Hi there:-
'Sorry to post such a simple question but I can find the
answer in the Dreamweaver online reference, and I have wasted a lot
of time trying to find the answer.
I want to read the checked state of a given checkbox and then
if value of true is returned invoke function "A" or if false is
    returned invoke function "B".
Based on what I found in the reference I set up a variable to
capture the state of the checkbox as follows:
    function checkboxState()
    var checkState = document.all.nameOfCheckbox.checked;
    if (checkState == true)
    statements
    else
    if (checkState == false)
    statements
The check box is setup as follows:
    <input name="nameOfCheckbox" type="checkbox"
    onClick="checkboxState()">
This doesn't work and I don't know why. I wondered if I had
to define the checkbox in a particular way, e.g. using the value
attribute or something, but the reference did not indicate this.
If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
    Thanks!

    Hi Jules,
Thanks for the tip. It worked. I have seen people set up an
if statement without any argument "if(checkStatus)" but I don't
entirely understand the mechanics of what this is doing. (That is,
how a true or false is passed to the variable) But I originally
learned to code COBOL so maybe I am too old fashioned.
    Thanks,
    Linda

I can see exactly what your saying & in no way disagree.
I do think however the wording of the current BT television advertising campaign for Infinity requires modifying as these so called 'personalised estimates' gave me a completely different perception of a speed estimate.
When I received my personalised estimate of 80/20 sadly I actually believed this, maybe becuase I live very close to my FTTC cab, & was a little dissapointed after the installation to see I hadn't got what I was told by BT as a result of my 'personalised estimate'.
Im still happy with my download/upload speeds but am very dissapointed with ping/latency tests conducted through BT's fibre network.
Perhaps the words 'UpTo' should make a return to BT's advertising campaign.

  • Is the BT Infinity Checker ever wrong?

Me and my brother have seperate houses on the same new house estate on the outskirts of Coventry which have all been built by the same builder, if i look over my garden fence i see his cars parked on his drive.
He is upgrading to fibre today however the bt infinity checker tells me that i can't have fibre - which is something i've
been waiting for since FTTC was first announced.
I had an engineer come and sort out a telephone socket in our house and i mentioned to him that i couldn't get fibre and he said that was strange as we should all be connected to the same cabinet since he worked for BT Broadband and looked after the area i was in.
At the bottom of my road is an older housing estate so i don't know if its probably that i'm connected to the cabinet that they are connected to instead.
My questioin is, can the checker ever be wrong? And if it can, how can i get it verified if i can get fibre or not? I'm a big gamer and adsl latency and lack of upload are a big pain.

The DSL checker tells you which cabinet you and your bro are connected to www.dslchecker.bt.com

  • Purpose of Check statement..?

    Hi All,
What will happens when I write check statement in the loop
      Loop at temp_glpct.
        Check temp_glpct-RYEAR IN RYEAR.
    Akshitha.

If you use the CHECK <expr> statement within an event block but not within a loop, and the condition <expr> is not fulfilled, the system exits the processing block immediately.
<expr> can be any logical expression or the name of a selection table. If you specify a selection table and the contents of the corresponding table work are do not fulfill the condition in the selection table, it is the same as a false logical expression.
If the CHECK statement occurs in a loop using DO, WHILE, or LOOP, it is the loop that terminates, not the processing block.

  • Infinity Checker - Neighbour can, I can't (Milton ...

    Hi
I'm in Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes and have Sky BB and calls, but BT line rental.
I've been checking my BT phone number and that of my neighbours' on the Infinity checker and recently Infinity has appeared as an option for my neighbours, but not for me. My house is physically joined to my neighbours (mine is end of terrace).
Some time ago, someone mentioned that my telephone line may take a different route to the street cabinet - I've also tested house numbers and post codes and it seems just about everyone near me can get Infinity except me.
In 2003, I took part in a fibre trial with BT which was much faster than my current ADSL connection. So if I was able to get fibre then, can I still get it now? There is a BT manhole cover in the pavement immediately outside my house too.
I'd happily transfer my BB, calls and even tv package to join the FTTP trial...
