I month ago I had some issues with my broadband connection, possibly related to the extreme bad weather we have been having. I now find that the IP Profile has dropped to 11.03 Mps (I used to be just under 35).
What process do I need to go through to get the profile re-evaluated/raised? I have re-booted both the white modem and the HomeHub 4.
 Download speedachieved during the test was - 10.69 Mbps
 For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 8.82 Mbps-11.03 Mbps .
 Additional Information:
 IP Profile for your line is - 11.03 Mbps

You need an engineer out to test the line and reset your IP Profile. Call CS.

    Long story short here, I had a fault on my line which has been fixed for a while now and it affected my broadband and vision on demand etc etc ... when it was fixed, an advisor from priority care completed a speed test and it was showing:
    max achieveable speed 7150kbps
    actual speed 6500kbps
    ip profile 7150kbps
    a couple of days later i receive a follow up call to check everything's ok and we completed a speedtest again..this time the results were:
    max achievable speed 7150kbps
    actual speed 4200kpbs
    ip profile 4200kbps
    this was reported to bt wholesale because of the dramatic drop within 48 hours...
    so again, i receive a phone call yesterday and check again..this time...
    max speed 7150kbps
    actual speed 2500kpbs
    ip profile 2500kbps
    apparently, it's still with bt wholesale to try and work out why i've gone from 6 meg tp 2 meg within about 5 days but i'm just confused as to why this could have happened and wonder if anyone can shed any light on to it? I've been told my line is free of faults (both adsl and pstn) and i'm close to the exchange so i should be receiving as minimum of 3500kbps?

    hi there been a with bt over 12 months, and connection wize i have been getting 8mb. but recently as last week my broaband speed has dropped to under 2mb, i have tried various things like resetting and ethernet, wifi, but my speed still has not improved,, which is qiet annoying as i do alot of online gaming and web browsing, and i am at lost to how my connection has dropped so much speed i will list details below of my router settings and from  speedtester bt..

    Did you get you're speed limit back up to normall?
    Looks like Home hub logs show that someone from BT has modified my profile, I'll post here again if I get resolved or not.
    the last post is almost 4 months old!
    your profile has dropped to 2.5mb as a result of a drop in connection speed.  if you stay connected 24/7 fro 3/5 days your profile should return to normal.  just make sure your router does not drop connection

    i'm not quiet sure atm but should normally work like this:
    connect to itunes store -> log out with ur account (upper right corner where ur apple id is displayed) -> sign in with ur wifes apple id -> activate computer (store->activate this computer)
    normally it should work this way but ur wife wont be able to use apps or music within itunes library purchased with the other apple id

    The QT player is programmed to drop frames during playback if needed in an effort to maintain the target frame rate. If you want all frames to be played, the turn on the "Play all frames" viewing option but be advised that the playback frame rate may then vary drastically.

    You will need to contact Support in your country to get the security questions reset (these are user-to-user forums) : Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security (if your account's password has been changed then they should also be able to reset that for you)
    When they've been reset you can then use the steps on this page to change the rescue email address to an account that you have access to, for potential future use : Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses

  • Infinity Banded Profile

    I am wanting to know if BT Infinity has banded profiles.  I ask as my downstream line rate has recently dropped since installing a Home Hub 5 and from high 40's down to 35, well 34999 downstream rate according to the modem.  What is odd is if I reset the modem it seems to sync back to 34999, coincidence or is something limiting the line rate.  It looks like interleaving has also enabled as the attainable rate has dropped from 50+ to 45.   I remember before getting infinity with a previous supplier that after a line fault the profile got stuck somehow and a handed profile was applied which somehow limited what it could connect above.
    I cannot help but think the line speed drop is as a result of using the home hub 5 but could be wrong, is there any easy way to see if I am on a banded profile, is this something that could be checked somewhere?

    I thought this may have been a modem problem so I have put back the BT Modem, so the HH5 is no longer using the inbuilt modem.  The details from the BT modem is showing the same download rate of 34999.

    Hi, I've had BT Infinity for about a month and a half and it has been running flawlessly at 35mb. That was until yesterday when the speed dropped to 25mb. I ran the BT speedtest and noticed the profile speed has been capped to 25mb.
    Is this normal? Is this because they are switching more people on to infinity in my area? Do I need to do anything?
    It's not the end of the world as for my purposes, it still runs at a good speed. I'm just confused as to why it would suddenly drop and wondering if it is likely to recover to its old speed.

    Hi and welcome.
    " I ran the BT speedtest and noticed the profile speed has been capped to 25mb." This big speed reduction would not be due to "contention" ie lots more people being added to your Infinity cab.
    The Dynamic Line Monitoring equipment could improve things... there are some posts mentioning profile gradually increases but I think these are rare. 
    As your outside the ten day training period.-
    Michael (ypt) had a reduced profile and he was able to obtain an improvement by turning off BOTH the modem and router for a few minutes. Upon powering up again this had forced a profile reset/improvement. POST HERE.
    Some say there are "best" times of day to do this to get the fastest profile..... might be worth doing a forum search for that info.
    Searched and in THIS THREAD Nige wrote " I have found that turning on the modem/ router is best done at midday(or at least between 12 and 2 pm), I seem to get the fastest/largest ip profile at that time".
    If your profile doesn't recover you could try requesting a profile reset via the forum mods.... a contact form can be obtained by clicking on their names eg.   • Speed has dropped

    Hi all,
    I've had no issues with Infinity since I've had it installed back in August, my line has been constantly online and never disconnects. I've had a line profile of 77mb since it was installed, and I've always achieved around 75mb download on all occasions.
    Today I had to do a bit of DIY, so moved the modem up slightly (but i had to temporarily take the power out - only once - whilst I did this). I've plugged it back in to find that my line profile has gone down to 65mb. Why? My line has shown no issues with handling 77mb, it's been fine for 2 months, yet just unplugging it once will plunge it down to 65mb?
    Can anyone offer an explanation as to what I can do to obtain my 77mb sync.

    In terms of keeping the line connected, is it just the ''modem'' that is monitored, or is the PPPoE connection also monitored? I use Pfsense as my router/firewall and have setup a PPPoe connection via this, but I'm just curious if a break in this will cause the DLM to think there is more instability?
    Also, has anyone had any increases from just leaving the line alone for 2 weeks? I've heard stories that once it drops, it never, ever goes back to what it was (Even though the line is fine and connected for weeks). That would be really disappointing for me, seeing as I was pretty much maxed out for 2 months with no issues.

    I have created the Catalog Profile with catalog code groups and assigned the codes..The profile have been maintained in technical object masters .No catalog profile is maintained for any notification type. Now when I am creating a notification M1 it says "No catalog profile has been maintained for notification category M1"...It copies the catalog profiel of the technical object after I maintain the technical object in Notification .
    I want to avoid this info message..How  do I avoid this message for the notifications without catalog profile...

    Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
    First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
    Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
    When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

    I just renewed my ios development program and my contract is active as of now! But my team provisioning profile still says "Profile has expired". I tried to refresh my profile, still no success! Do I have to remove this profile and add a new profile or renew this profile, if so how? Would appreciate every piece of advise and thanks!

    Thank you for your reply. I didn't read the instructions as well as I thought I had. It is necessary to remove the old profile by navigating to Settings>General>Profiles on the iPad and deleting the expired profile.
    There were two different web pages with different instructions. The instructions on the download page linked to the users manual which was written when her employer initially released the application and said nothing about removing the old profile. However the page that linked me to the download page had a paragraph with instructions to remove the profile. I didn't read that far before clicking the link to the download page.
    Anyway it works now. Thank you very much.

  • FPS Has Dropped

    I am attepting to edit the font colors for one of the templates in Motion 5, and I just now realized that after altering the colors, the video's playback FPS has dropped substantially. It starts out at around 30 FPS, and ends up at 2 FPS before the video is 5 seconds in. Is there any way to recover the old frames per second, or will the frames not be dropped when I export the project? Any help would be appreciated. Another question I had: How would I go about changing the font for the entire video? I've been having to select everything piece by piece in Inspector and changing it that way. I feel like there is a simpler method, although I have read the guide book and have not found one.

    You probably have other things going on beside font color.  What you're seeing is the Motion Render Engine playback FPS.  When you export the project, it will play full frame rate.  Motion is having to render everything on the fly, which can bog down when a lot is going on.  Two things that will help.
    1- In the Render menu, top right of the Canvas, turn off things you're not using, such as Shadow, Lighting, etc.  Also, you can lower the Resolution and Quality settings if necessary.  This only effect playback.  You can reset them before export, or override them in the Export window.
    2- Go to the Mark menu, use RAM Preview to render out the timeline and get better playback.
    To duplicate parameter changes in one layer to other layers, there are two methods.
    1- Select the first layer, then Option click the other layers, which will highlight them all at one time.  Then in the Inspector change the desired parameter.
    2- Change the parameter in the first layer.  Then grab that paramter's title (such as "Font" or "Positoin"), or the title of that section (such as "Basic Formatting" or "Transform"), then drag and drop it onto another layer.
