BT Infinity - Not working for 7 days now

 Hi, take 2 ...
I had BT Infinity installed last Tuesday.
- The engineer came, did his stuff but reported it was not working. After calling BT they informed me it would work by midnight.
- Midnight comes, still not working.
- Call BT, they tell me it takes 2 days to stabalise so it will work on Thursday. This is normal and I should have expected no internet for 2 days - WTF!!!!
- Thursday comes, still no internet. Call BT, they test some stuff and tell me it will work on Friday.
- Friday comes, call BT. I ask them to send engineer and they refuse. Instead I arrange a seperate call on Friday night for them to talk me through some reset/install steps. Spend over 1 hour on the phone, still not working. 'Vincent' from the call centre tells me he has now escalated it and within 48hours it will be resolved. They will call me to tell me.
- 48 hours pass, no call received. I email - nothing. Resort to Twitter, they reply saying they will look into it. Nothing. So finally I call, 20mins on hold to be told they need to send an engineer!!!! They put me through to booking dept but I get cut off.... then silence. No call back, no follow up and no call I was promised in the first place!!
So its been a week with no internet. Its been a week of empty promises and lies. As I type I am waiting for a call back, I won't hold my breath

Looks like a DNS problem. Try changing your DNS servers to use google 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

    my broadband did not work for days. I spent two lengthy periods of time on the phone to sky, once fo 1.5 hrs and the other time for 1 hour. Both phone calls achieved nothing. Eventually the internet started working again. The sky service status online advised that my area had no problems. The service from sky has been incredibly rubbish and has made me very angry. In order to get myself online i had to pay BT Wifi £8 for a day pass. Sky have been very generous and have compensated me 62 pence for the time I have been without the internet. My question to sky is..... will youplease refund me the £8 I have spent and give me some sort of compensation for the dismal service provided. I have tried to call calling you this morning but you phone is engaged, I tired emailin gyou but you have no email, I tried the live chat, but it is busy. The forum is the only place I can go.

    - Speaker?
    - Headphones?
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

    My issue is resolved. We have tried with Custom PCR which will convert absence days into hours. With this we are able to achieve the desired result.
    Copied from standard PCR "INP1" to "ZNP1" and modified "/801 partial period factor 1" logic. Below is the PCR for your kind reference.

  • Can not complete downloads or updates on any apps. Just says "waiting" for days now

    Can not download or update apps.  For days now it just says "waiting".
    Any suggestions?

    Is it also possible that you have a movie or song or podcast that coudl be 'stuck'? That's happened with many people. It's like the download pipe is a one lane road and any 'broken down' download jams up traffic behind it until it's deleted or resolved.

    Thank you SO very much for posting this. I had the exact issue with my iPad Mini after the same upgrade. Hard reset failed, computer would not recognize iPad. I had read all the other instructions and nothing worked.... YOUR SOLUTION WORKED FOR ME - with a slight variation.
    I followed your lead and connected my iPad Mini to another computer, fired up iTunes, it saw the iPad Mini in Restore Mode and allowed me to go into Restore (yes, it wiped all of the data but I have a back up on the other computer that would not see it after the failed update). It installed the latest iOS 7.1.2 as well. I then disconnected it from that computer, reconnected it to the computer that would not see it prior and it then saw it as a new iPad and allowed me to Restore my backup and now it's all good!
    I detailed my steps only because you downloaded the previous version - 7.1.1 whereas I downloaded the latest version (7.1.2) and then restored my back up.
