BT Infinity still lagging with Fifa on Xbox One (W...

So I made many posts last year about My unlimited BT Infinity package ( ~55mb down, 16m/b up ) not working with Fifa 14/13 on the 360. I counted about 20 or 30 people experiencing the same issues last year.
The bad news is its exactly the same on the Xbox one so anyone who had trouble with delay/lag reaching easo.ea.com last year dont waste your time with Infinity if you plan on getting xbox One.
averaging 120-160ms ping on the servers that xbox one uses in california for Fifa absolute joke. I had a better connection back in 2004 playing team fortress.
Any word or hope of BT attempiting to look into the long acknowledged pronlem.
Also random other question but I read Xbox one servers can use ipv6 /ipsec protocols how do we set this up on out bt routers?

IPV6 is currently not available on BT residential services as to server issues they still happen and nearly always appear at the game servers end and they always seem unwilling to admit to the problems  and similar problems  seem to appear  on  various ISP's world wide  not just BT

  • HELP with WRT160Nv2 (2 xbox one NAT)

I have 2 xbox ones in my house connected to the WRT160Nv2 router. I have tried literally everything. Port forwarding, triggering, uPnP, static IP's, blah blah blah. From the research I've done uPnP should be the only thing necessary to run two xboxes at the same time in the same game. Is this router's UPNP just total garbage? Is there a firmware update that will solve my problem? Please link me if so. I am currently running Firmware Version: v2.0.02  . (probably the default, but doing a few google searches people say some firmware updates for this router make it worse)
Please help me out because researching this stuff really gives me a headache after a while.
If this matters... We are able to play in the same games occasionally but often times one or both of us will drop out from the game. It's especially bad in call of duty. Sometimes I will drop even if the other xbox isn't even turned on, so i don't even know where to start.

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
Is ISP Modem/Service using Dynamic or Static WAN IP addressing?
What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?
Check cable between Modem and Router, swap out to be sure. Link>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAT6 is recommended.
Check ISP MTU requirements, Cable is usually 1500, DSL is around 1492 down to 1472. Call the ISP and ask.

If the ISP modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems: Link>http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/fixing_double_nat.htm and http://computer.howstuffworks.com/nat.htm If the modem can't be bridged then see if the modem has a DMZ option and input the IP address the router gets from the modem and put that into the modems DMZ.
    Router and Wired Configurations
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. This ensures each devices gets its own IP address when turned on and connected, eliminates IP address conflicts and helps in troubleshooting and maintain consistency for applications that need to connect as well as mapped drives.
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Once IPs are reserved for both, Do a factory network reset on the XB1s to clear out any bad configurations.
    Turn OFF XB1s
Set up port range triggering using 0 and 65535.
    Keep uPnP enabled.
Disable any firewall temporarily for testing.
Save settings and reboot the router.
After router is back to ready, turn on one XB1 and check NAT. Turn on the 2nd XB1 and check NAT.

  • Xbox one Controller Problems in-game (FIX)

    Hey
I hada problem when I play games with my Xbox one controller. Whenever I press the RT (right trigger) button while in game, either the trigger does not work or performs an action of another button on the controller. When
this happens the controls are not reverse. Whatever button action it performs, that button still performs the way it should.
    For example:
I press RT it performs LT. And when I press LT it performs as LT, so the controls are not reverse.
This problem occurs in all games I played in Windows 10 (not in previous version of windows). However when I go to the controller settings in the controller panel to calibrate, the RT trigger performs how it should. So i'm
not sure what the problem is maybe its an xinput problem or drivers problem IDK. This problem DOES not happen with the XBOX 360 controller. Only XBOX ONE controller. On a side not this with the original XBOX ONE controller drivers that was release in the summer.
The new controller drivers that was release in the end of march don't work at all.
If you are having these problems a fix to this, to install "Xbox one Controller (DFU)" drivers. To install this driver,
    1. Go to device manger, right click on the Xbox one controller tab. Click "update driver software".
    2. Then click "Browser computer for driver software".
    3. Next click "Let me pick from a list....".
    4. Last uncheck "Show compatible hardware". Then Scroll down the list till you see "Xbox one controller (DFU)" NOT "Microsoft Xbox One Controller (DFU).
    5. Install drivers.
If you don't see "Xbox one controller (DFU)"driver on the list go to step 1 and instead click "Search automatically for updated driver software". Once it's done that it will install a "bad driver". Now go back and continue form
step 2, and the driver should be listed

Hi everyone, I'm a best buy elite, so I believe I have 45 days to return opened items. I saw on CAG that next week, Best Buy will offer a free game with purchase of xbox one. I purchased an xbox one 20 days ago. Is it possible to just bring a receipt to get this offer or do i have to physically return my xbox? Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks

    Hi there ironadam-
We are not able to comment about any upcoming promotions, but should we have this offer next week, generally previous purchases will not qualify.  We would also not be able to price match as our Price Match Guarantee does not cover free items.

  • Xbox One Fifa 14 now working on Infinity?

Fifa 13 and 14 were a mess with me on BT infinity. 55 m/b dowload and 15 m/b upload yet every P2P /online game i played just utter lagged. The easo.ea.com server was the bane of my life tracerouting it using my laptop always 120ms + whihc made it useless for gaming on fifa.
I am wondering if anyone who had similar problems has noticed any difference using the Xbox one and their dedicated Microsoft servers for each game. Im assuming the names/ip addresseses of the servers are different and are no longer using the easo.ea.com ones in california?
Any help or knowledge from Xbox One Fifa 14 players appreciated.
Also any other Xbox Obe games and how they work on BT infinity much appreciated

Well i bit the bullet and bought the xbox one and Fifa. The bad news is its exactly the same playing fifa 14 on XB1 as it was on 360 with regards to BT inifinity and awful routing to the games US servers. Averaging 140ms to the Fifa servers on my 55mb d/l infinity connection
Battlefield 4 and forza work absolutely fine all lag free yet I go on Fifa and BT still aint got their stuff together. watch out 1/4 of BT inifnity fifa 14 players you will continue to lag on Xbox one. Doesnt look like ea using the dedicated servers yet as im stil connecting to easo.ea.com when playing fifa

I'm currently dealing with this issue myself, except that my rMBP has NO articles in the reading list.  It's a brand new rMBP too, purchased just this week, with the 2.6 Ghz Processor & 16GB of RAM.
Let's see what we can find.  I may just take it back to the Apple Store.

  • AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express and STILL lag in Battlefield

    Hello,
I recently purchased an AirPort Express, hoping to increase speeds of my wifi (currently getting around 10-13 mbps) so when I play Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on my Xbox 360 on Live, I wouldn't lag out.
Well, it did nothing. The Express is plugged in directly behind the XBox 360, so I can run ethernet to the AirPort and give my Xbox an N signal. That didn't help. So I disconnected the ethernet and hoped maybe the wireless would be fast for some reason. Well, I still lag through the match (not consistently, but at least several times each match I attempt to play) and 2/3 games I don't even get to finish because it kicks me out. I've considered going through the trouble of port forwarding but the last time I tried that, I saw no difference and thought I may have done something wrong. If there are any suggestions or very accurate walkthroughs for port forwarding, setting up a DMZ/default host, etc., let me know please. I'd love to enjoy my games on Xbox. But something tells me these Airp

If you want to try wireless again, you can give this a shot. I just discovered it, and it seems to have solved issues for me.
Open AirPort Utility; select your Extreme and/or Express and choose manual setup.
    Click >Wireless
    Change Radio Mode to 802.11a/n - 802.11b/g
    Click >Wireless Network Options
    Change Transmit Power to 50%
Check >Use interference robustness < This step is purely optional. It's worth a shot.
I've been noticing issues with performance of my Time Capsule for a while.
It really started with lack of good range, followed by lousy performance with my iPhone 4 and iPad 2. I was lucky to get 10% of what my speed really is (1.5 Mbps vs. 15.9 Mbps). My iMac was the only thing that seemed unaffected.
I attempted to setup a Sony Media Player (stay away from them- junk!) then a Roku XD in my bedroom only 20' down the hall from the Time Capsule (direct line of sight). Signal kept dropping and performance was lousy for both. I want another new Apple TV for the bedroom, but that TV doesn't have an HDMI port. I ended up running an ethernet cable down the hall... until this morning.
After some digging, I found a forum talking about WiFi performance for iPhones and stumbled upon something kinda basically unrelated, but gave me the idea to dig into AirPort Utility a bit deeper. Changing power to 50% didn't sound logical, but lowering output power was mentioned in the forum. AirPort Utility goes from 100% to 50% then lower. Nothing between 50% and 100%. I'll know more about range later today, but I have a feeling it may be mysteriously improved as well.
Hope it works out for you!

  • Serious DPC latency issues with Xbox One Controller

Not sure if this is the right forum for it, but I'm hoping...
I recently got an Xbox One Controller (with a USB cable for Windows), and installed the x64 drivers for them. I've been using it for a while with no problem, however I recently had to reinstall Windows 7 due to an NVidia driver issue. I am now seeing some
issues with certain games, notably Elite Dangerous and Lord of the Rings Online (which doesn't even use a controller) while my Xbox One controller is plugged in. Terrible lag, sound cutting out. I used DPC latency checker and found that it was spiking bad.
Using LatencyMon I found that USBport.sys was the culprit. I unplugged the Xbox One controller and it was gone.
Here's the catch, I know it's not the USB port or an IRQ issue because if I plug in my Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X to the same port, using the same IRQ, etc. I do not experience any issues. This is related ONLY to the Xbox One controller. Why would the
One controller cause this, and is there anything I can do to fix it? I have looked everywhere.
    My PC specs are:
    Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
    Intel i7-2600k OC @ 4.2ghz
    16gb DDR3 ram @ 1600mhz
    Nvidia GTX 770 OC 4gb
    MSI z68a-gd65(g3) motherboard
    HT Omega Claro Halo soundcard
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!
Edit: I actually had to disable HPET in my bios to even run LOTRO or it would crash my PC, that was until I found out it was the One controller that was causing it.

    Hi Marcus,
Considering this issue occurred after reinstalling the machine, please ensure your system is update to date.
Since you have caught the culprit with the LatencyMon, have you tried to update the USB controller or reinstall the USB controller to have a check .
Apart from this ,is the One Controller Driver a manufacturer driver ? If it isn`t official driver ,I recommend you to download the driver from the manufacturer website.
    Best regards
    Hi MeipoXu,
Thanks for the reply. :) I've been scratching my head with this issue.
I've got all updates done and I used the official x64 Xbox One controller driver from Microsoft. Also have tried update, reinstall the USB controllers under device manager, even tried replacing usbport.sys with a friends copy but they were identical.
What's interesting to note is that this doesn't happen in all games, only certain ones. Since I haven't played either of those games I mentioned after I got the One controller and before the reinstall, I have no clue if it had anything to do with the reinstall
or if it's just an issue with the controller. I posted on those games forums and did not get any replies.
I did notice a lower DPC latency when I plugged the controller into my third-party USB 3.0 controller ports, but it was still spiking up into the reds consistently. I also went as far as to unplug ALL other USB devices, including my mouse and keyboard to
see if that made a difference, and it didn't. Nothing else does this, only the One controller. I'm at a loss. =/

  • Step by step complete setup for WRT54G ver.6 with Laptop and XBOX 360

Hello.  I am sorry to post this, I am sure it is a juevenile and redundent question...but I have tried to look for the set up cd (I can find where to download it...though I can find the firmware upgrade or whatever).  My friend at work said it would do all the setup pretty much automatically for me.
I somewhat know computers, but you might go ahead and make your replies VERY lamen's terms or I might not be able to follow.  Anyways, what I need, is a step by step/screen by screen directions for a secure network.  I have made a partial attempt at setting it up and it technically works, but I would feel better if I did the steps a-z in order, so I know that it is done correctly.  I also am not totally confident in its security as it is now.  (Also, technically, I did not check the XBOX again after getting the new laptop, I am just assuming it is still working because it was before).
My problem is I can't seem to find very good directions for setting up the router...I only find partials or confusing directions.
So here are the things I am trying to connect:
    Liksys WRT54G ver. 6
    Gateway Laptop running Windows Vista
    XBOX 360 - WIRED
(I had a PC and a laptop, but they both died at the same time and I have only been able to replace the laptop at this point...the PC will come later and not sure at this point if it will be Wired or not).
I have a cable Modem between the Router and the wall...I didn't look at that for brand/etc...but I can get it ASAP if needed.
Here are the settings that I have so far:
    Changed the Router Name
    Changed the SSID
Have DHCP set to 3  (XBOX, PC, Laptop)
    Wireless SSID Broadcast: Disable
Username and Password changed to my own info
    UPnP: Enable
I may have changed other things without knowing it.  So like I said, a complete, step by step screen by screen set up would be totally appreciated.  I haven't done anything in the security tab, all that is totally foreign to me, so I am just not broadcasting for now until I can get some help setting things up with you guys.
And if someone is familiar with the Laptop/XBOX 360 setup, and I need to change any of the settings on the XBOX itself, could you please include that in your directions?  I know that isn't technically what THIS forum is for, but it would sure be helpful to me if you happen to know both parts anyways.
    Thanks a lot (in advance)!

So all you just need to do is, secure your Wireless Network. Follow the setps bellow and change the settings on your Router.
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop). In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...Leave Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
    Click on the Wireless tab
    - Wireless Network mode should be mixed...
    - Provide a unique name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box in order to differentiate your network from your neighbours network...
    - Set the Wireless channel to 11-2.462GHz...Wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on Save Settings...
Please make a note of Wireless Network Name (SSID) as this is the Network Identifier...
    For Wireless Security : -
Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the Wireless security mode to WPA, For Encryption, select TKIP...For Passphrase input your desired WPA Key. For example , MySecretKey , This will serve as your network key whenever you connect to your wireless network. Do NOT give this key to anyone and remember the key.
NOTE : Passphrase should be more that 8 characters...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...
    Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...

I have BT Infinity at home with the BT modem connected to the phone line and then to a BThub which delivers the wif signal. I have purchased an airport extreme to improve wi fi strength if how do I connect up to hub it states connect modem to WAN on back of Airport Extreme.
Instructions do not mention connection to BT Hub and the BT modem has only one output which you dicsonnect from Hub and connect to airport extreme leaving. Once you do this Hub has no signal.
    How do I rectify
    Paul

you can also set up the Airport extreme to extend the wireless by hitting the wireless tab in the airport menu then click the drop down menu to select extend
Apple's "extend" function is a proprietary setting that was designed to only work with other Apple routers.
It would be extremely unlikely that this setting would work with a BT product, or any other manufacturer's product for that matter.
But, I haven't tested this with a BT product...and I suppose anything is possible.
Still, I would be extremely surprised if this worked.
The AirPort Extreme might "join" the BT network if you try this......but the AirPort does not provide any additional wireless signal coverage when it "joins" a wireless network. In fact, it really does nothing when it "joins" a network except enable the USB port.

  • Lag with Blackmagic Intensity Pro

I just got Adobe Prod. Premium CS6 as well as a Blackmagic Intensity Pro monitoring card and an eVGA GTX570 graphics card, and to avoid problems, I did a new Windows installation from scratch on a formatted drive. This was done today, so all the drivers and program updates are completely up to date.
I know the Intensity Pro is about the cheapest card you can get to preview video correctly on a TV set, since graphics cards don't display video in the same way as a dedicated editing card does, so I'm still happy with it, but I would like to find it if I can get around this annoyance until I can get a better card, or if perhaps it's a flaw in Premiere and a more expensive card would not make a difference.
The card has about 200 miliseconds of lag compared to the program monitor in the Premiere window. This is not really terrible, but it becomes distracting when watching the TV screen and the change of frame in a cut happens first in the computer monitor in a small window within Premiere, and a fraction of a second later on the TV screen. Also, it makes it difficult when I have to sync cuts to changes in the music. I guess in that type of situation it would be better to do the cuts on the computer monitor and then switch to the TV set for color correction.
But this is not just in regular playback. It gets worse when scrubbing the timeline, or moving with JKL. In those cases, sometimes it takes it like a second to catch up to what I see on the program monitor.
I also have a GrassValley HD Spark monitoring card for Edius that while it has a little lag, it's much shorter than this and it's not so distracting. That card was connected using the same cable to the same TV set, so that tells me the Intensity Pro has some extra lag, but it's hard to complain about it on a $190 card. However, I was wondering if anyone here has found themselves in the same problem and found a solution? I searched but so far I couldn't find anything.
And as far as these type of cards, what is the least expensive one that will give me perfect preview with no lag?

Thanks, I might try that one, although it's a bit over my budget at $660.25, but I'll have to if I don't have a choice.
What about the Matrox MXO2 Mini, has anybody tried it?
About turning off MPE GPU's acceleration, that is not an option for me. I'm used to edit in Edius, where almost everything you do is real time and you barely have to render anything ever for previewing purposes, and Edius doesn't even require an expensive Nvidia card for that, it only uses the CPU. But, it lacks several features Premiere CS6 has, especially when it comes to artistic effects. Overall I'm really hooked up on Premiere CS6, but only if I can have the same fluidness of work I always had with Edius, so I wouldn't turning off MPE. That's why I spent $280 in a new graphics card.
I really hope that this is just a matter of the BM Intensity being a cheap card and not Premiere, because this past couple of days I've been editing almost all day and while I enjoyed the editing process in Premiere, it's very frustrating to start playback and sometimes it will be fine but other times the audio and video will be out of sync, so I have to position the playhead back and start playing again. When that happens half the times you play something, it's really annoying. This is regardless of real time areas or not. To make sure of this, I forced render of an area that had no effects on it and it still has the sync problem. I had to disable auto playback after rendering because that would cause the problem every time, while if I position the playhead manually and then hit play, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.

  • XBOX ONE. I have the xbox one and the airport time capsule and cant connect to most xbox live games and zero parties. I have 0 experience in all this but somehow was able to change NAT to open but still wont connect. HELLLPPPP

Okay folks, I need your help out there.
So the nerdy side of me went and picked up the XBOX ONE on release day. Its awesome by the way, BUT..... I cant seem to connect to most xbox live games and absolutely ZERO parties. At first I just thought it was something to do with the xbox itself and would eventually fix itself, but i was wrong. After looking into it on microsoft, i found out that it had to do with my NAT settings on the airport itself. I guess apple and xbox are not compatiable for xbox live and it makes it difficult to have an open NAT setting and is a huge PAIN.
I was able to pinpoint one that the airport time capsule was blocking the IPV6 something or another. Anyways, I unblocked that, and reset the modem and time capsule and jumped on the xbox and now have open NAT settings but still cant connect to multi-player.
Upon further searching, i was told to uncheck the UPNP on my time capsule as well, but have no idea how to find that.
I know it seems confusing, but thats the best i can describe it.
    tthanks all

Be a long long time before I see an Xbox One.. but whoever told you to uncheck the upnp in the TC.. tell them their dreamin' .. upnp is not support by Apple in any computer or router, never has been.. Apple deliberately wrote their own version called NAT-PMP to do the same thing.. dynamically open ports at the request of an application or client computer.
So there is nothing like that to uncheck.. and as a matter of interest.. there no box to check or uncheck for NAT-PMP either.. since apple do not believe in end user adjustment of settings.. they simply do not exist.
You will have to manually forward all ports required by the Xbox via the TC. For multi-player games you probably need to open more ports than the standard to allow just xbox live. You will need to check the ports required and open them.
    OR
Buy a standard vista UPNP compatible router.. and use that.. and simply put the TC in bridge in the network.
I have not seen posts yet about xbox one.. but there are plenty about xbox and ps3 and the fact that Apple really doesn't give a hoot about games consoles.
This is a good basic post for older xbox.

  • LCD TV 55HT1U lags with game systems

I'm am having an issue with my LCD TV 55HT1U. It has about a 1 or 2 second lag with my PS3 and xbox 360. Is there any way I can fix this issue? I am running both with HDMI if that helps. I've also noticed that regular cable TV has a delay.

I have the same problem. The lag is not between the sound and video.. the lag is from the HDMI port to the display itself. For instance, I plugged my HDMI cable from my PS3 to the HDMI port on the side of the TV and then when I navigated through the PS3 main menu, I would click on the PS3 button to go from one menu to the other and it would take a good second for the video to update on the screen. I did the same test with a CRT TV and the response is immediate.
I thought it might be the PS3 lagging so I plugged my laptop and then tried a DVD player. Both did the same thing.. I would click an icon on the PC or navigated the menus on the DVD and it seems like the image and sound would be delayed "inside" the TV. Maybe the video takes some time to rasterize and the sound is synchronized with the video so both will "wait" until the video is ready?
If you have a fix for this, please let me know.  I'm thinking of returning the TV entirely just because of this. The PS3 is unplayable and you know, if I had a choice of which one should go...

  • Minimum of $150 Toward an Xbox One Console with xbox 360 or ps3 trade in

Is this still active?  I understand that it is given out as a $100 gc and a $50 coupon towards an xbox one.  When I click the link online, instead of bringing up the $150 offer, it now brings up $120 offer with two controllers.  Is the $150 offer no longer valid?  If I remember correctly it wasnt supposed to expire until after new years. Thanks so much

    Hey again Knorman19,
