Hi to all, this is my first post so apologies if mistakes are made, hopefully one of the mods can help me. After much research and questioning of bt engineers and sales dept about my line speed available if I signed up for the above product. They gave me an estimate in writing what my speeds will be, Download 43Mb-60.1 Mb and Upload 10.8-17mb. with my order correspondence. My connection was set up on the 28th March 2014. After testing the contract engineer said look thats a good speed 20Mb Down and about 5Mb upload. Have spoken to tech help, they arranged for an O.R.engineer to call Tuesday 1st April to check system, system checked, sockets replaced, wiring altered, checked speeds still the same, I told engineer that I was on BT Infiniy2 80/20, but he said my ticket says you are only on a 40Meg circuit so maximum you could get would be 40Mb anyway but due to losses on the circuit due to aluminium cabling etc you will only get 20Mb. I am only 450m from my cabinet. Why have I not been set up on the correct circuit i.e 80Mb in the first Place, after several more callls to tech help they contacted the exchange engineer, who said my line was capped, this has become a complete farce, I only want what I paid for. Level 2 engineer calling Friday 4th April. But I have now lost hope of any improvemts. Will update after Fridays visit. Any advice PLEASE, THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.

Can you run this checker and post back a screen shot of the results. This will give an estimate of the Range of speeds you should be within.

and use this speed tester then carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down. As well as your speed this will show if you are on Infinity 1 or Infinity 2.

The engineers remarks about being on a 40Mbps circuit don't make sense, there is only one circuit. The difference between Infinity 1 and Infinity 2 is a software cap that is applied if you are on Infinity 1. It is nothing to do with changing circuits.
If you do have aluminium cables this will affect your speed as will the distance you are from the cabinet. The cables may not take the most direct route so could be further than 450m.
See graph for an estimate of speed to distance. Infinity is VDSL2.

Reset your network settings
remove your sim and insert it back in
switch it off and try it again
If none of these work i suggest you call up your network operator

It's not just you, I can't authorise my phone. It seemed to go down just after I started the update (it wasn't my fault though). I am using chrome, and it does not seem to be a firewall issue, or the bannerblock issue that I read about else where, since I dont have that program installed. Strange though how the support forum is still running. If I go to http://www.apple.com/support I get nothing, but googling topics allows me to see em.

HELP! Gateway stops accepting new connections

Config: PS6.1 on Solaris 9 (Sparc), seperate gateway on Solaris 9 (Sparc) The PS6.1 was migrated from a PS3.0 installation, The machines are V240 with 2GB RAM and 4GB swap.
I start the GW with: ./S43gateway -n default start debug
Several minutes after startup (it varies from 1 to 40) I get the following message:

This was working fine until we changed the IP of the gateway and moved its ethernet connection to "outside" the firewall. I re-installed the gateway software to make sure I didn't miss anything other than platform.conf. I have the webproxy enabled for the bookmarks channel and that is working. I have holes in the firewall for the proxy, LDAP and HTTPS ports.
Any ideas?

The gateway has to be tuned substantially to get good performance.
The tuning needs to be based on your load
e.g how many netlet connections, how many concurrent users you expected to handle etc ..
the default min heap size and max heap size need to change it. You can go upto a max of 2 Gb but I would recommend starting with a smaller heap size of 500 M and see how your performance goes.
The min and max heap size should always be the same for better performance. If your using netlets then you have to change the thread parameter. Each netlet connection uses two threads so if your using a large number of netlet connections then your thread count needs to 500 at a minimum to support 200 concurrent netlet sessions. Increasing the thread pool will also use more memory as each thread uses a min of 512 K of memory. The thread stack size needs to be set to 128 K.
These are the initial things to start with, you can also set jvm option -verbose:gc to enable gc logs. This will show memory usage.

Can anyone help me connect my Macbook Air to a SAMSUNG TV. When I follow the basic instructions (Thunderbolt to HDMI connection) the screen on my computer goes grey and an error message appears inviting me to press any button to restart the Macbook. When I do this nothing happens. Only when I disconnect the computer from the TV does the Macbook allow me to login. The TV does not receive any signal from the Macbook even though I know the HDI port works fine. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Do I need to enable something on the Macbook?

An update...
I downloaded Apple's (rather large!) list of software updates today, and I was finally able to recognize my iPod again. I did a restore using the iPod updater from 06-2006, and all seemed to work OK. (I'm afraid to try the new one again!)
Then I tried to re-load my music library from iTunes, and got stuck. It froze up after a while and wouldn't go any further.
When I disconnected my iPod from my computer, I find 2 podcasts and nothing else, though iTunes told me it had transferred 600+ songs. Those 2 podcasts do play fine, and the basic iPod software all seems to be intact.
So -- anyone get through this connection problem and have any ideas to share??

Other possibilities:
Your router firmware is out of date. Check the manufacturer's website for an update
You have MAC (Media Access Control) filtering enabled on the router, that restricts access to "known" devices and the new iPhone is not on the table of known devices
Your router has a setting limiting the number of simultaneous allowed devices
Your routers SSID ("name") is still the default (e.g., LINKSYS, DLINK, NETGEAR, etc). Your phone has encountered other routers with the same name as you have traveled, and the phone is confused as to which router is the real one. If your router's name is still the default you should change it.

I try to connect to my database from an application. do somebody have a sample settings file to give to me? what I mean is: how can i fell the following statement:

uninstall and reinstall
there is a complicated way to work with just the mobile device support but its simpler just to uninstall itunes and related components and then reinstall itunes
ur music will be fine, u will just lose the playlists. but ur mobile device support will be working again.

I have no issue using cellular data when I remote in from my iphone with the RD client.

Dear Brian:
Create a Play List in iTunes.
Control-Click and open "Export" in the highlighted Playlist in iTunes.
With "Export" opened:
1. Click on "Format" and choose "M3U";
2. In "Save As" name your "WhatEverNamePlaylist.m3u"; and
3. In "Where" tell the program where to send your "WhatEverNamePlaylist.m3u".
You are done creating the Playlist.m3u in iTunes.
Open "Subsonic Web Page".
Left hand column open "Import playlist".
In "Import playlist" click "Choose File" and open the "WhatEverNamePlaylist.m3u"; you created in iTunes.
The "WhatEverNamePlaylist.m3u" should now occupy the space between "Choose File" and "OK".
Click "OK".
The file should now be in the "Playlist" on the left.
